Good product. Usual complaint that the assembly instructions aren’t as good as they could easily be made to be.

I have bought this for myself didn’t come with any instructions which put me off a bit but the quick customer service sent them through email. Very happy now.

I have spent many months trying to find an exercise bike as I am very short (4’8″). I have searched reviews and different manufacturers and sources and narrowed my choice to this one. I emailed the manufacturer who told me it was suitable for someone 4’2″ and above. It is not. Really disappointed that I definitely need to be a good 3 inches taller.
However, for the price it is a really good bit of kit and apart from it being too big for me we decided to see if we could get it altered. We managed to find a local ‘metal guy’ who has adapted it to fit me and although its not perfect it will do. If you are of a ‘normal height’ I would recommend it.

This item arrived faulty and I received great customer service. I had a replacement machine in a few days and was told to keep the original machine. My husband loves it.

Was difficult to put together. The company was quick to respond when we contacted them about it.

Most of the assembly was easy but I found I could not fit the computer display on first try as it fouled the handle bars. I had to use brute force to bend the mounting plate by a very small amount to enable me to screw the computer to the mounting plate and so clear the handle bars

Wouldn’t use it in the recumbent position, it’s very unstable. It’s fine if n the upright position and the seats comfy enough. You always get issues with the resistance in these type of bike, it’s difficult to increase resistance smoothly. It’s a tall bike but takes up little space folded. It’s good to look at. All round, a good bike for the money.

Great value and good quality. The training ropes need modifying to clear the roller fixings which if not done pose a risk of heavy fraying of ropes this apart this is a well made item at a bargain price.

Pleased with the bike, only one issue and that is the arm resistant bands aren’t strong enough, on one the outer fabric has frayed and snapped after only a few hours use
Also assembly wasn’t as easy as described

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersI am a septogenarian who did 5 gym classes per week. With the membership fees and petrol to get there that I saved during lockdown I decided I could buy some equipment and exercise at home in the future. I browsed on Amazon and chose this one because you can use it upright and sitting back. I have arthritis in my hands & arms which aches if I have to lean forward towards the handlebars too much or for too long.

Gym quality it isn’t but I wasn’t expecting it to be at this price. It is strong and stable enough for me (5’2″ & 9st) and would be ok for someone taller and heavier. The seat could have deeper padding to be more comfortable but it is of good size. It comes in several peices with tools and instructions. With just a bit of help to fully tighten a couple of nuts I put it together myself and it was not too difficult, though the instructions seemed to miss some stages. Hint: there are 3 leads on the computer you slot into 3 leads on the bike; they all look similar but not quite. I was confused which went to which till I realised the top three were 2 of one type and 1 of the other, and the lower three were reversed.

I got on and rode it a bit to set seat height, pedal-strap size and check that the computer was working. I will update this review after using it for a while. So far I am pleased with it; it’s a good bike for the price.

Arrived a couple of days after ordering (on free delivery) two days before expected, well packed for transit and easy to open.

    Update after using several times:

I was worried that my arms would ache when riding this bike if I have to lean forward for too long. I found the seat not only goes up and down but there are several settings between fully open and fully closed which enable you to sit more upright and it is more comfortable for me. It means I have a bit of a struggle to step over to get on with my short legs, but no more so than with the bikes at the gym.

The resistance is less than the gym bikes where I found it almost impossible to push the pedals round at more than halfway up the settings. I’m fairly fit and relatively strong for my age/build and although at the first ‘pushes’ the highest resistance didn’t seem very heavy after a a while I felt I was really working hard.

I can’t comment on the resistance straps as I prefer to hold onto the handlebars. I also did TRX down the gym and enjoyed the different techniques so I am going to buy myself a proper set when my home-gym is set up.

I’m no ‘digital wizard’ but I managed to suss out how the computer worked quite easy. You need to press and hold the buttons for a second to activate them.

Recap: a good bike at the price, sturdy enough for a ‘larger’ person, enough resistance for getting/keeping fit or someone needing rehab. But if you’re fit, strong and competitive with your performance it might not be the one for you.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve got mobility problems and find the seat hard and uncomfortable which leaves me in pain after using it ..does tend to rock and creak a bit when in use.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIt’s common with these kind of items for the instruction manual to be poorly written, which makes it necessary to have some previous experience with a variety of tools. The exercise bike was not the exception. The manual was difficult to follow and gave no instruction at all on the configuration of the monitor plugs. The main part of the bike is pre-assembled but unfortunately one small part had not been pre assembled correctly. Luckily, we had the tools to rectify this or we would have had to return the unit.

So on to the bike itself, I find it very comfortable to use and I am satisfied with the overall appearance and performance. Marked down because of the construction issues.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a very good exercise bike. It is sturdy, has all required measures, adjustable. Good quality, I have not seen anything really cheap on it.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersA superb purchase. Easy to put together (all the screws etc are in situ, so no confusion as to which ones to use, and most pieces were already part assembled

Incredibly sturdy (bought because of the 120kg capacity)

Not as much resistance as a gym model, but satisfying enough for a good workout. Backrest is a real bonus, and best of all, it’s very quiet
Computer is good, nothing fancy, but does what it needs to

Would definitely recommend if you just want a relatively basic exercise bike

I am in my sixties. I decided to buy this bike because I have had a number of strokes over the years so can no longer go out to a gym or out running. It is very comfortable to use. The resistance is very flexible which means I have been able to use the bike from day one. It’s good to be able to read the data after each ride. When on the bike I enjoy listening to music on my Kindle which fits neatly on the handle bars.

It could have done with a bit more resistance otherwise a good bike

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersFirstly, MHSTAR have excellent customer service. I have had some issues with the bike due a manufacturing fault and they have communicated brilliantly.

The bike itself is sturdy and has a good level of resistance. I particularly like the resistance bands and the pulse monitor.

The main monitor gives you fairly accurate speed, distance and pulse tracking and this has helped me with my training.

A very good product despite the fault.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI enjoyed the challenge of assembly and it wasn’t too bad. People should note that the pedal threads are left and right handed and it is important get the right one. It is sturdy and portable. I found the resistance adequate.
I found using the resistance bands while peddling really good but unfortunately the band rubbed against a guide plate and shredded and broke after about 5 weeks use.
I have asked for a replacement band. I think it is worth repairing and may redesign it to eliminate the friction point.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAfter reading a lot of reviews about fold up exercise bikes, this one is better than I expected. The resistance levels are very weak in comparison to what you’d find in a gym but it’s still possible to work up a sweat on the highest of the 8 resistance settings if you keep your pace up. It’s sturdy and folds well. The resistance pulleys are an added bonus which allow you to train your back whilst cycling.

For the money and it’s product type, I’d recommend this bike.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVerry happy with it, for the price I payed it offers more than I was aspecting. As long as the mechanism lasts (!!) I consider it an investment in my health in this crazy months ahead. Comfortable, sturdy, quiet, the tablet support is a nice touch. The only minor aspect I would change is the handlebar’s ungle, it is almost parallel to the ground, a bit of ungle (not much) would make it truly comfortable. Delivery was 1 day late, but they replied immediately and even checked on me the following day (much appreciated).
