Wow , finally a product that is exactly as described ! It is a great fit , covers the whole bed , stays firmly in place with the elasticated skirt and it heats the bed beautifully . The extra warm foot piece is super !So glad I purchased it just as the weather was starting to get chilly !
Arrived earlier than promised. Good fit to bed, netting skirt a vast improvement over usual string arrangement, will hopefully prevent blanket moving around. Controller connections locate under pillows which is much appreciated by my wife who was really irritated by the intrusive and uncomfortable arrangement on our previous blanket. Warms up quickly. Bring it on Winter, we’re ready for you!
Extremely pleased with this item but for the life of me I cannot see how to remove the controls for washing. There are no ‘connector clips’ or flap to lift it looks like you just pull out the controls from the rigid part in the blanket for washing but still appears impossible to remove despite hefty pull. Could I be missing something here please?
Love this blanket. Gets much hotter than our old one and no fiddly strings to try getting under a heavy new mattress with a mind of it’s own about if it’s going to bend or not!. Would definitely recommend it. I wouldn’t want to try sleeping with it on all night though, might get a wee bit hot.
Excellent blanket. I like that when it say it can be used all night, that is what it means. So many have time switches that if a person has an early night, as my Husband often does, due to health issues, it can switch itself off in the early hours. So simple to use with just three heat settings. I would definitely recommend.
Have this brand for other beds just wish they offered a 4ft size as had to buy double which has two controls for 4ft bed as single size not big enough
Just as described this matress cover does go from edge to edge and provides a lovely warm bed. It also has quite deep netting to go over a thick matress. I could, however, do with it heating up a bit quicker when I’ve had it turned off and then need a heat boost as I get up to let the cat out. Well worth getting.
Broke on the 2nd year of use. As I have engineering degree it was really very easy to replace the damaged component, however for someone else it will be a total waste of money.
I haven’t used the electric blanket yet as I am waiting until I buy a new mattress, however as I made the purchase based upon the reviews, I am confident that it will be a good buy.
So far, I have used this only to warm up the bed before getting in. I have used setting 2 and it has been ideal. I have turned it off after getting in. It is warm and cosy so I would really recommend this product. I am 80 and it warms the old bones :-))
Excellent, I prefer a cool bed, my wife a warm one, so for us the duel control is perfect. It would have got 5 star’s but takes about 15 minutes to warm up (according to the wife )
Fits well on to double bed. Better than using ties. Good that I can just heat one side of the bed. Connector is under a pillow and I don’t even feel it there. I switch it on to setting 3 about 10 – 15 minutes before I go to bed and find it plenty warm enough. Very pleased with this blanke
Easy to fit & covers the whole mattress. Heats up very quickly & cools down very slowly when switched off. With the cold weather I have been using setting 3 for a couple of hours before going to bed & the bed is so warm to get into. The only downside is there is no timer facility but you can work around that. Overall an excellent purchase.
Arrived in extra quick time and in perfect condition and I have used it since the day it arrived! I had a blanket with tie strings and simply got fed up with the palaver and decided to treat myself – am so glad I did! Have already recommended it to several friends – one in particular because her husband doesn’t want an electric blanket, but this has dual controls, so he doesn’t have to suffer! Excellent product and I have no hesitation in recommending it.
great electric blanket – good to have different temperature controls so each person can have the temperature they wish. Having the elasticated sides to fit the bed is ideal – it doesn’t slip or move – so much better than having a blanket that sits on the mattress and moves when you turn over. we have actually bought another one for our son and his wife.
Quick delivery, great fit and lovely and warm. Only issue is it doesn’t have a ‘timed’ option. Our previous blanket was set to turn off after 90minutes, by which time you have warmed up and asleep. Would still recommend .
Only Bought this blanket a few weeks ago, only wish I had got it a lot sooner. I had previously been talked out of having an electric blanket so can’t really compare it to other makes. What convinced me to get one was when I visited a friend a few weeks back when it was really cold my friend switched on an electric blanket in the bed that I was to sleep in. Normally it takes me a while to drop off to sleep but now getting into a warm bed I drop off to sleep quite quickly.
Fast delivery and product arrived in perfect condition. Yes the controls are a bit high up but you adjust them so that the fitting does not disturb your sleep and your pillow rests over them. They do heat up fast and the number one setting for the rest of the night is perfect. Would definitely recommend. Does exactly what my dreamland one did but for a better price.
Purchased as a present for my parents at Christmas, so was very welcome given the cold weather! The blanket adds extra comfort and heats up nicely. The real advantage here is the dual controls which are entirely independent meaning either side can enjoy whatever setting they are more comfortable with without impacting the other side. All in all, it’s had great feedback and certainly wasn’t an unwanted present!
This is a second purchase. Blanket fully covers the mattress and is securely held in place by mesh which fits under the mattress. I have a standard depth mattress but imagine the mesh would stretch to accommodate a deeper mattress. Each side of the mattress has its own control. The connector lies under your pillow and I notice with this purchase that the connector is smaller and further towards the top of the blanket so you don’t lie on it. In my experience it takes longer than 15 minutes to heat up – I switch on an hour before and the bed is really toasty.
Very pleased with this purchase! Haven’t had an electric blanket for years but on deciding that we needed one now I started looking on line and was pretty impressed when I came across this product. No annoying ties, fits snugly on our double bed, we can’t feel the wires (others might). Heats up nicely after about 15 minutes on number 2 setting, so all in all a very good purchase! I would definitely recommend this product!

You can be aware of its presence as “wires” under the sheet when first used, but either it becomes more flexible in use and/or I’ve got used to it.
This is really an electric mattress cover and works well. The controls are ok, but feel a little on the flimsy side, time will tell whether they last, but every thing works as it should at the moment.
Absolutely love this. Going to bed on a cold night and you slip under the covers to be greeted with a lovely warm feeling (and that’s not just the wife!). Fits the mattress snugly. Warms up nicely (15 mins). Comfortable to lie on. Dual control gives my wife and me the different warmth levels that we need. Level 3 is more than warm enough to heat the bed up before you get in. Then knock it down to 2 or 1 to keep the warmth going. Can’t believe we didn’t get one before.
The dual controls are such a good idea- you warm the bed to each persons preference! I haven’t tried the low all night setting but am very happy with the warmth on 2 or 3 to warm the bed before getting in.

Very satisfied. I have had a Homefront before, the one with loads of settings and separate foot setting. It was lovely but packed up just after the guarantee ran out. Wanted a different make this time. But it’s the only one that I was sure would fit mattress. I don’t think they sell the previous model I had any more. I probably was just unlucky. This does the job adequately. Good fit, heats up to the edge of the bed.. Five minutes takes the edge of a cold bed. Very satisfied.
Obviously I bought this in the winter, and it was great! Makes such a difference getting into a nice cosy bed. It fits well, doesn’t slip off the mattress, and the different levels of heat (controlled separately for each side of the bed) will suit everyone.
The only thing I would change would be one with a timer, but you pays your money and takes your choice!

Attaches to the mattress very well with the ties and doesn’t move at all. The controls are very well placed and you control each side of the blanket separately. Fits the mattress very well and goes right down to the bottom of the bed.

Love this! Fits like a fitted sheet, right round the edges of the mattress, no pesky ties to try and fasten! Two switches so you can vary your temperature on each side of the bed (which unfortunately also means two plugs to house, but that’s a small inconvenience). Needs about half an hour to be toasty warm (an hour is too warm!) but just a few minutes will take the chill off quickly. I love a warm bed and this electric blanket is the best we’ve had. Couldn’t recommend enough, brilliant.
I have a spare room with a double bed to be used for guests or family members when they come over and wish to sleep for the night but complain about the room being very cold, so I got this electric blanket so that it would be more comfortable for them. When they came over and tried it, they said that it worked OK and they felt warm and comfortable. It has been used a couple of times and has never faltered since. This is ideal to have if you have a double bed and a cold room with little or no insulation but it is wise to check it throughly before using it.
This is an excellent piece of bedding. It fits my mattress really well and warms the whole bed up nicely. Very good quality and brilliant price. However, Washing it was a bit of a problem. Mine is 2 years old now and as I only use it during extreme cold weather nights, I wanted to wash it and unplugging it was very, very difficult.Even my partner had to struggle using a knife to unhook the connector and the controller. I will be looking into getting another more easier underblanket for this coming winter, if I need to. It does heat up very quickly though and keeps the whole body and feet warm if you are under 6ft tall.
I am extremely happy with this particular electric blanket as it has dual hand controls which allow you to heat each side of the bed independently. Our old one didn’t which often resulted in one of us being uncomfortably hot (usually me!) whilst the other was contentedly warm. It really does make a world of difference. The blanket is shaped to fit over the mattress (ours is quite a deep one and it still fits beautifully) so it doesn’t involve moving the mattress to secure with cords as it is exactly like placing a fitted sheet onto the bed. Another great feature is that it doesn’t move around or crease. The blanket resembles a fleece under blanket and is of a very good quality. It is so soft and heat retaining, with no sensation of ‘wires’. I really would recommend this item to potential customers as I find it to be an attractively priced, good quality product.
I am delighted with this electric blanket. It has a deep fitted base that would fit any mattress depth and was very easy to put on. It has dual controls, one for each side of the bed, with three different temperature settings – so nothing too complex and fancy and no need to read a manual first. I have used the middle setting to warm up the bed first, an hour seems ample, then switched it down to the lowest setting which I’ve left on all night ( it’s January!). I also have a filled mattress cover for extra comfort and I have put the electric blanket underneath this and the heat comes through fine. Great! I’m very cosy!!
This has made 2 people very happy! My wife hates to get into a cold bed and has been using heated grain bags up to now. I don’t like things quite so warm, but with the nights having been so cold for a couple of weeks, have been using it as well. Having different controls for each side of the bed is perfect for us, as we can each set it our own way. The blanket is barely noticeable in use, with the connectors to the controls hidden under the pillows. In addition, because the blanket is fitted and has elasticated sides, it has not moved or slipped at all since we put it on. Happy to recommend this to anyone and would buy another without hesitation.
A good all-round electric blanket. Not the quickest to warm up, but covers every inch of the bed, and no cold areas. Setting 1, on for 20 minutes, just about takes the chill off. Setting 2, on for 20 minutes, just about feels warm in winter. Setting 3, on for 20 minutes, is excellent warmth without being uncomfortably hot. You may need slightly longer than these if your bedroom is unheated. Having separate elements both sides is very handy, as some like it cool and some like it hot. Measure your mattress before ordering, just to check sizes. Ours fitted very well, no problem, and so much easier to refit when turning the mattress than threading strings or tapes underneath! Can’t vouch for long-term use, as we’ve only had ours a few months, hence the four stars, but so far well pleased with it.
Brilliant electric blanket – wish I’d got one last year! My husband doesn’t like to get into a warm bed so with this blanket you just leave the other side unplugged – problem solved. Absolute luxury to get into a lovely warm bed – doesn’t stay as warm as your husband though when you have to turn it off. Its a generous double size as well. Better than a hot water bottle any day!!
This one is so different! It reaches the edges of the bed, is very easy to fit – like a fitted sheet – and so far it hasn’t budged or rucked. We’ve only had it a few days but I am absolutely thrilled with it. It’s also machine washable.
We live in Greece and I never imagined we’d actually NEED an electric blanket, but as we have no heating in the bedroom and we recently had a VERY cold few days, we decided to invest in one. Despite having to pay postage costs, we felt it was better value than ones we’d seen in the stores here. So far I’ve only used it on the middle setting for about 20 mins before I get into bed. I have a mattress protector over it too, so I was amazed how deliciously warm the bed was when I got in it on the first night. Absolute, utter bliss. No more cold, clammy cotton sheets!
My only criticism would be the ‘clonky’ controllers. They make loud clicks when adjusted, and if your partner is already asleep when you switch your side off, it could conceivably wake him/her up. But this is a minor point. It’s an excellent electric blanket, easy to fit, reaches right to the edges of the bed (not like the old-fashioned tie on ones!) and makes getting into bed on a cold night absolutely blissful. Very pleased indeed. Highly recommended.
Having had our old electric blanket failed by the local fire service, we were searching for a new one with dual controls.
seeing this one from Home Front, it sounded ok.
Now that we have tried it we are more than pleased with it. We had the double size, and one very good feature is that the elements
go right to the edge of the bed. This blanket is far better than our previous one, which was 15 plus years old, for about the same price as we paid then.
This product is thoroughly recommended.
The ‘skirt’ that holds it in place is well made and seems to do the job, there’s an occasional need to flatten the blanket out but nothing like as often as my old one that had the three strings. It’s comfortable to sleep on, you’d hardly know it was there. Also there’s very good heating coverage from edge to edge, so that’s nice.
The three settings are pretty much as you’d expect… 1 takes the chill off, 2 is pretty warm, 3 is sometimes a bit too hot.
If there’s a criticism, the controllers are a little bulky (they feel clumsy in the hand) and less than positive in their heat setting locating (operator error, I know, a wiggle and it’s fine). There is a red indicator light but one of my controllers is between the bed and a wall, so I have to lean over the bed to turn it on. I’ve jumped into bed and landed on the ‘mis-turned on’ side. It’s like having an surprise freezing cold shower just before turning in! Having said that, It’s quite Pavlovian, I’ve done it 3 times now, I’ve probably learned my lesson…
Fundamentally, there’s nothing actually wrong with this blanket, but I’ll probably choose a different one next time around.
Seriously. If you mean business and need toasty sheets without messing around with cheap, seriously lacking blankets, don’t hesitate. Get this!
The all-singing, all-dancing electric blanket I had purchased just over a year ago was not working at my husbands side. I decided I just wanted a dual control that worked and purchased this one. It arrived very quickly and I was overjoyed. We have quite a deep mattress and I was still able to tuck it under the corners without it pinging off. It only has 1, 2, and 3 heat settings but it is very cozy and comfortable to lie on – no bits to dig in! Lovely – would certainly buy from this company again 🙂
The blanket is easy to fit, and machine washable. There are two sewed-in connection boxes which sit on top of the mattress, in the pillow corners, but they don’t get in the way. The best bit is the fact that the blanket has easy to use individual controls, with three heat settings and off, for each half of the bed, so if (like me) you aren’t always cold, you don’t need to swelter alongside the missus.
It hasn’t stopped her sticking her ice blocks of feet onto my warm bits when we go to bed, but this item deserves its high star rating; well built, well designed, easy to use and comfortable.
This blanket fits well, performs reliably and its dual-switches mean one side of the bed can be heated to a different temperature to the other, which is very useful. The length of the flex/cord is rather short, so if you don’t have a socket very near the bed, that may be a problem, but otherwise it appears to be a very satisfactory product. I haven’t washed it yet, but the instructions seem clear so I don’t predict any problems. Also, its very soft and comfortable.

This blanket works extremely well and I am very pleased with the quality of the materials used in its construction. The details of guarantee though described by the seller are not as described by the manufacturer. The maker states that the blanket is only guraranteed for one year but the seller states, in the description, that the blanket has a two year guaranee. As the item was purchased on the sellers description I would expect that if the blanket developes a fault, after one year, the two year guarantee period would be honoured
Other than this irregularity the blanket was delivered promptly and I would have no hesitation buying from this seller again or recommending them to others.
I had reservations before I bought this electric blanket but I think it is fantastic. The cable attachment is hidden under the pillow unlike another one I had previously which was so uncomfortable because it was too far down the bed and would catch your shoulder. It fits my double bed perfectly and is so lovely and warm. My husband prefers the cooler setting so it is ideal for us both. I cannot praise this blanket enough. The cover is slightly fleecy like lambs wool but this does not make it uncomfortably warm to sleep on. It is just perfect.
We chose this model to replace one we bought last January which was a very comfortable style and fit but the control on one side failed. The reason for only four stars is that we are concerned that the controls, although different than our previous one, do not give us confidence that that will have a long life.
First, this is a “fitted” under-blanket: so there are no problems with it needing to be continually adjusted. Second, “fitted” means here that it has sufficiently large sides that it is flexible in sizing (eg our mattress was bought in France). So, it’s easy to fit. Then, as for heat settings, we’ve found that level1 is sufficient for us – it takes the chill off the sheets (no central heating here!); but if we’re late in getting home 15 minutes on setting 3 is more than enough.
If you’re considering buying an electric blanket, there’s no competition: this is the one you need.
First I have to compliment the delivery service from the supplier/Amazon, I spend a lot of time in Spain and had it posted there, the service was quick and efficient. I also purchased one for a friend of mine hers had arrived at the same time so no worries there. Whilst both units arrived in good condition and everything works as planned I have one reservation. The buying public are starting to note that a lot of products are coming from China, and it is difficult to split the better quality items from the quite frankly rubbish. To this end, I always like to know where my purchases are made, I looked this item over and read the various pieces of paper to no avail.
Rather than state where the product was made there is simply a note saying, “imported by XXXX’.
This vague statement makes me very suspicious as to the product origin, is it Chinese?
I would have preferred an element of honesty, and looking at the product regardless of where it was made it appears to be of a good quality, even if it did come from say China I would have given it 5 stars, the sellers ‘vagueness’ tainted my thoughts on the purchase, 4 not 5 I am afraid.

The blanket was delivered within the timeframe given. It works well and warms the bed up quickly. The dual controls are ideal as my wife prefers her side of the bed to be warmer. The low setting is ideal for keeping it on through the night for the really cold nights. As with most other reviews my only gripe with the blanket is the large plastic connectors close to the head. I have not attempted washing it yet so I can’t comment on this yet. Overall, I would recommend this product.
I love my electric blanket… I had one before that tied to the bed but used to move and wrinkle up but this one is so easy and stays put. The controllers are long so even if you don’t have sockets either side of the bed it should be fine. The bit where the controller plugs into the blanket is under the pillows so doesn’t get in the way (or how I sleep anyway!). I’m also about 6 foot and it’s long enough. Wish I’d ‘splashed out’ sooner!!
With winter fast approaching and cost of heating going through the roof thanks to gready directors of Electricity suppliers who wnat to fleece their customers decided that heating the bed would be cheaper than heatibng the room. This blanket has proved to be the answer. Dueal control is a blessing as my wife likes her side cooler than I do, so both of us are happy bunnies. The blanket works as efficiently as discribed on the advert. The only problem was with the courier company who were tasked with arranging the delivery to our home address. There first attempt was made whilst we were out so according to the card put through the letterbox we stayed in all the following day and they fauiled to deliver. As I was unable to obtain a telephone number for the courier I couldn’t find out what was going on. My suggestion to Amazon is not to use Yodel as their service is rubbish
Never been interested in the idea of electric blankets because I they slide around a lot and are often uncomfortable. With the weather getting colder and my gas bill ever increasing i went for this and it’s worth every penny!
Handy controls either side of the bed means you can have 1 side cold one side warm if you need to cool off or your partner gets colder than you do.
In terms of comfort It has made my bed even more comfortable as it is embedded in a soft blanket and doesnt slide around at all because of the fitting.
I am extremely happy with this purchase. Having read reviews for other heated blankets I decided to purchase this one, and am totally satisfied with the product. Some reviewers commented the wire with the controls on is quite short, I did not find this the case and dont find this a problem at all. This blanket warms up quickly, is very comfortable, and reasonably priced. It fits my deep mattress very well and the material is very cosy. I received the product quickly from the supplier and would highly recommend this blanket.
Did as it said and covered every part of mattress with heat. Just what I wanted, as my husband tends to have cold feet and he too was very pleased first time used. Controls high enough up that they are below pillow, which is more comfortable. I bought this item after reading reviews on Amazon and I am very happy with the product. We have used electric blankets for years, and needing a new one, I bought this. I can’t praise it highly enough. A really generous size, which covers the whole surface of the bed; plenty of (fitted) fabric at the edge, which also leaves enough to tuck in as well; easy controls; quick to heat; washable; comfortable fleecy surface; very reasonable price…what’s not to like about this luxurious blanket? I love it!
As for the reviewers who complain about the connections at the top of the blanket being bulky and uncomfortable, I simply don’t understand. The connections are placed high up at the head end of the blanket, towards the edge, and are completely covered by our (normal-sized) pillows. No problem at all.

i have only had the blanket two weeks but already I am very pleased with it – my previous one was tied with strings and drove me mad as it moved (always to my husband’s side of the bed) no matter how i tied the strings. this blanket is fitted so it stays in place & is warm all the way down to the bottom. its not heated undet the pillow, so your head is not overheating. we have it on every night on a timer & its just the job.
Pretty well the perfect double-bed electric blanket – both sides can be independently controlled (note that you need two electric sockets), and it’s fitted, so there are no tapes to get tangled up. It warms up quickly as well, and is decently warm after half an hour, and comfortably hot within an hour.
By the way, the service was excellent and the blanket arrived very quickly. Very good value for money – five stars in every way.
I love my electric blankets! I had an old style one with the cords running under the mattress etc making it a bit of a nightmare when you want to turn the mattress. The new Homefront electric blanket is fantastic – it fit my double bed no problem. It warms up in about 10 -15 minutes which is great when you have been out and need to take the chill off the bed. So glad I bought it!
Fits very well. Two complaints – can feel ridges of wiring so put an ordinary soft blanket between the electric blanket and bottom sheet so now much more comfortable. Also the switches at either side are in an awkward position. They should be set nearer the top of the bed or nearer to the edges of the bed.
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. Keeps her warm and the dual control is very useful. Can’t really say a lot more as it isn’t mine but she gives it glowing reports and was very happy that i got it for her. It arrived very fast and was well packaged and the fact that it is fitted means that it does not slide about the bed. All in all a very satisfactory purchase and am seriously considering getting my self one too.
I’d been promising to buy an electric blanket for years and now wonder why it took so long to get one. It has a blanket part which fits right to the edges of the bed – except that you have to be careful to have it the right way around, as the electric part which would fit under the pillows stops short of the edges. There is a mesh skirt around the blanket which fits a really deep mattress and ensures a snug fit. The only bad thing is that the controls sit at the edge of the bed and you can sometimes feel them. the blanket has 2 plugs (one for each half of the bed), so you need an extension cable if you don’t have 2 handy plugs. I’m using this with a mattress topper over it, so its never really hot, just nice and cosy and takes the chill off the bed.
Slow to warm up and there are two plugs needed, both whch lead to his n hers controls which then go into quite a lumpy junction box which is rock hard and at shoulder height. I’ve got used to it but some may find this annoying. I also misread it and thought there was a setting for more heat at the feet, there isn’t.
Having wasted money on Dreamland products (I should have read the reviews!) I tentatively bought this blanket, the price seemed lower than other makes but the weather had turned very cold and I knew Amazon company’s deliver quickly.
I was not disappointed however, the skirted design made fitting very easy (no fiddly strings) and the heat coverage is excellent. Yes, you have to turn it on for longer than the instructions recommend but on setting 3 some people would find it too warm. Experiment and find the best time and setting to suit.
I’m already very pleased, and if the controls last longer than other makes I’ll be ecstatic!

Just made a 2nd purchase of this blanket for another bed and many improvements have been made in design. This is still a superb blanket but the only issue I find is that the controller ON light is now too dim for my liking. With the bedside light on, the controller ON light is not bright enough to be easily visible but this is a minor point which shouldn’t detract anyone from purchasing the best blanket available.
Delivery was 2 days after ordering and I still live in the Welsh mountains. How good is that a few days before Xmas?
Before I go in to the details of the product I feel it is relevant to understand a bit about me and the cold. I detest that first 10 minutes of getting in to bed on to a cold mattress. And I also note that my feet are often cold throughout the night during winter. You kind of get used to it and almost forget how miserable it is after a while. Our bed is next to a largely windowed wall, and I have the cold side! I occasionally suffer from insomnia and I was also wondering how much low temperatures contribute to it.
After experimenting with the cover I now switch it on to level 1 (of 3) on my side – my wife likes level 2 or 3 initially. This mattress has dual controls – so you can control things independently of your partner – which is essential unless you happen to be identical with regard to the cold. We are not though. We switch it on about 10 minutes before bedtime. That is enough – others say 30 minutes which I do not think is required. For me level 1 is a bit like a normal temperature mattress – i.e. not warm/not cold, just neutral. On a cold night I will just leave it like this all night. It is more than enough – and the heat is more focused on the feet – perfect! Warm feet somehow make you feel more healthy. I imagine that you could save on fuel bills by turning the heating down and leaving the cover switched on all night. My wife just switches it off after half an hour. The control has a warm light on when it is on. It is easy to locate and control in the dark.
There is a certain amount of commenting on the plastic connector on the mattress cover at around the upper arm level each side – which is where the cable-entry point is. It is quite thick and it is not comfortable to lie on. They could do with being in each top corner where you are not going to lie. It is slightly disappointing but does not really impact either of us too much. I was a bit confused as to which side was up on the cover. If you do it one way the connector is less prominent – but I am not sure if I have got it upside down. I do not see how that matters though. I do not find the ribbed nature of the cover is that prominent either. I now do not even notice it under the sheet.
The important thing is that it is a good quality, stretches over the mattress and fits well, does not move around, distributes warmth perfectly and has helped my sleep and battle against the English winter.
This is a very good blanket. This the second one we have. After two winters the leads to the controllers came apart where it joined into the actual control this becoming dangerous. New controllers can be bought but it is more economical to purchase a new blanket.
Apart from this we liked the first one and were happy to buy another.
This is actually the best heated under blanket we have ever had. It fitted the bed perfectly and there are no cold spots! The mattress cover design was perfect for fitting on the mattress to stop the blanket moving like the old one used to do. It was money well spent and it only took 3 days to arrive in Greece from ordering. The courier even rang me and asked politely how to find our house (we have no addresses here lol). Excellent service and a very good product.
we’re very pleased with the product in that its so nice to get into a warm bed. However; the conection is too low down on the bed and is constatly sticking in my elbow, it would have been better to put it nearer the pillow (or under the pilllow) as there is no button or a need to touch it….
Really pleased with this blanket. Read some reviews which were quite negative. It heats up very quickly on the 3 setting and fits the bed well. My only gripe? Was that the electric fitting into the blanket is actually on the bed. I would preferred if this had been wire as my old one. Can,t really fault this item at all.
This blanket warms up incredibly quickly. The dual controls are well positioned hanging at the side of the bed at about pillow position so its easy to sneak an arm out for another boost. The only drawback is the wires are a tad lumpy – it may be princess and the pea syndrome(I need to experiment further putting the blanket under a mattress protector though I don’t want to lose any of the heat). Overall – pleased with the purchase.
Initially this was bought to replace a SINGLE control double blanket and it was thought that double control might obviate squabbles! However, it turned out to be much more than a sop to different setting requirements on each side of the bed – the method of securing to the bed’s mattress is quite excellent by close fitting it does away with all the bits of string or tapes experienced in the past – great! Actual heat-setting controls are very positive and one can have no doubt what setting has been chosen.
Heating performance is excellent.
Bought this electric blanket on the strength of the Which report. I had also read the reviews by other Amazon purchasers. I must not be destined to be a princess as I find the blanket very comfortable and do not feel the wires at all (I am not overly padded in my physical make up!!) I really like the dual control aspect allowing me to have my side of the bed at a suitable temperature for me. In all I am delighted with this purchase especially as it seems very good value for the money. Would definitely recommend.
What can I say about this product, This is the first time to have this make of Homefront, well it seams to be very good so far, I like the dual control, and it is working very well also heats up quite fast and this is a good thing for me as I am a disabled person, that needs to get into a warm bed, so I am quite pleased with is one thank you, I may try and get another one in a single size. The power cable connects to the mattress cover at the wrong location (just by your elbow)
The connection points should have been at the top corner under your pillow.
Real shame because its a really good product.
I’m sure the next model they produce will resolve this as they are sure to have received a lot of feedback.

Got this to replace my old electric blanket and you only need to switch it on for around 20 minutes and the bed is warm. It seems to stay warmer for a lot longer as well when you switch the blanket off. It should definitely
save me money as my old blanket used to take a long time to heat up and I often had to leave it on the lowest
setting all night because the bed cooled down to quickly. As it fits around the mattress it is a lot more
comfortable to sleep on than those blankets which fasten with ties. If you are buying a new electric blanket I would recommend buying one of these.
After last winter I decided to have some form of heating in the bed. I read the reviews on Amazon and this blanket seemed to be the best by far. I have had some use from it this winter, not yet needing to have it on throughout the night yet, but feel confidant it will be perfect for me. The reviews I read were without doubt the deciding factor in my purchase and have proved to be accurate.

Bought this to replace a very old electric blanket and was very impressed. Last time around it was a lot of hassle pulling tapes under the mattress to secure the old blanket but this time it was easy to fit the new one.
It’s just like putting on a fitted bottom sheet and I was pleased to find it was big enough to fit a double mattress without having to tug and pull. I also like the fact that it’s washable so it can be freshened up from time to time when the weather is right.
Another advantage is the dual control so one side can be heated and the other left off if a partner prefers a cooler bed.

We received the blanket well within the delivery estimate time and we are very pleased with this product. It is simple to use, only three settings – we feel less is best on these type of products, less to go wrong! It is good having dual controls on either side of the bed to enable both of us to have an individual setting – invariably one of us is warm and the other cold! The dual controls makes for a peaceful life! The blanket warms up in about 15 minutes and the heat is spread evenly. We have had a cold snap in the North and it has been nice to get into a warm, cosy bed. Would recommend this blanket, it is very good value for money, and is also a Which? best buy.
I read the other reviews here that said the blanket took up to thirty minutes to reach the heat level on the maximum setting. I thought I could live with that, even though I am not well organised enough to actually switch anything on half an hour before I need it. True to form, I forgot to turn it on before going to bed. This did not matter because the blanket heated up fast – between ten and fifteen minutes to reach the level of heat on the maximum setting.
One little gripe – the netting that fits around the mattress does not hold the blanket in place that well and is somewhat flimsy. It looks like a low grade tulle. I bet it does not last long.
This is my first electric blanket and I’m very happy with it. After reading many reviews on various different types of blanket I decided on this and it fits the bill perfectly. The heated bit covers the mattress to the edge and the depth of the skirt part of it (fitted sheet type thing) is good. I had been worried that it would be quite shallow and not hold on to the mattress very well but I needn’t have worried it’s more than ample. It is currently on the guest bed as my partner has been working nights but will be moving on to our proper bed shortly and that has a mattress and mattress topper on and this blanket will cover both and still fit comfortably over them for a secure fit. I very much recomend this product. It also comes in a zip closed plastic case so it will be neatly stored and protected over the summer when it is not in use.
I bought this blanket for my student son who raved about it so then bought another for our guest bedroom. This is an excellent electic blanket – unobtrusive dual controls and a deep skirt which fits a double mattress well. I was worried that it might be too small for an Ikea bed but it was perfect. Heats up well and now that the snow is back, visiting friends can’t praise it highly enough. This is excellent value for money and in a totally different league from small squares with strings attached which was my previous experience of electric blankets. This one heats up the entire mattress. Now to check out the king size version! Bliss!
Great product, as it’s a fitted mattress cover there are no cold spots and it doesn’t move around, so no uncomfortable ridges. It’s well made and easy to fit and would easily fit a deeper mattress than the one we’ve got it on.
Dual control is brilliant, I can use a lower setting than my partner who really feels the cold.
Bought one for my mum at the same time as she suffers from poor circulation and she loves it. She can leave the empty side of the bed on a low setting all night if she needs to, so no more disturbed sleep when she turns over and hits the cold side of the bed!
I am very impressed with this product. Fits perfectly with a large skirt and warms all of the bed due to its generous size unlike the taped versions of other makes which only ever cover the central part of the bed. Excellent heat controls. Number two seems perfect for pre warm up and one for an all night comfort warmth in the extreme depths of our winter nights. The three setting used for a quick warm up if you forgot to switch it on early enough.It is machine washable and is certainly the best electric blanket I have ever owned. I reviewed most of the electric blankets available before purchasing this one , and they were right ,This is a FANTASTIC underblanket , it fits perfectly, it heats up in less than 10mins ( on 3 ) it covers 100% of the mattress with heating elements ( yes- right to the bottom and under the pillows) is SUPERBLY comfortable , and it was delivered in less than 48hrs !! DELIGHTED— of course I am . Don’t be put off that this blanket is just a 3 position switch control,you really don’t need any more controls than this

I DONT HAVE CENTRAL HEATIN ON IN THE BEDROOM SO THIS IS IDEAL ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY IT COVERS THE COMPLETE BED AND HAS DUAL CONTROLS FOR EITHER SIDE OF THE BED WHICH IS GREAT I DO BOTH SIDES YOU CERTAINLEY FEEL IT IF YOU ROLL ONTO THE COLD SIDE!! AS FAR AS POWER CONSUMPTION GOES IT DONT MAKE MUCH OF A PINCH ON THE ELECTRIC BUT I WOULD STILL USE IT IF IT DID AS IT IS SO NICE TO GET IN A WARM BED AND THAW OUT ESPECIALLY THE FEET!!!!
