I recently bought the Sonic split pad and was surprised, considering the price, that it felt so light. I don’t want to say it felt cheap as I can understand why you’d want a handheld pad to be light as to not bulk the whole thing down, but it was surprising. Then I realised there’s no battery in them at all? Hori pads are a bit expensive, about 60 sometimes.
However I did enjoy using the pad so I bought this for my partner. We play Switch together, usually one docked and one not, and we take turns, so this worked out perfectly for us. It takes some getting used to using this attachment as it widens the feel of the controller somewhat.
I just wish Hori products were slightly cheaper as they don’t feel the most robust compared to other controllers. I also wish they’d release the middle portion on its own!
I don’t need rumble and all that other fun stuff on the controller for the games I play I need a controller with a good headphone jack I have bought a couple power a controllers the jacks weren’t great in those controllers but this controller the price is a little high but it is worth i
Me gust el soporte ya que tena otro juego de mando hori y ahora tengo un control almbrico extra
Fast delivery and the product is perfect!! great to play in both modes
No vibra y no es inalmbrico, debera ser algo m econmico.
If you want a procontroler experience while handheld your switch this wouls be your produc
This is a really great feeling controller and I love using it in hand-held mode. It has much larger buttons, a great D-Pad, and analog sticks with more travel than the standard joy-cons.
Its major cons are that it lacks gyro, rumble, and Bluetooth connectivity (you can’t use them unless they’re either attached to the Switch, or plugged into the usb port using the split pad pro attachment)
In my opinion, it’s great for hand-held if you do a lot that, but lacks too many features to be a straight replacement for something like the 1st party pro controller in docked mode.
To be perfectly honest, I have already purchased the original controllers. They did not have a connector like it has now. Now I have two controllers with a connector. Hopefully I can find a second connector, but aside from that I can’t wait to use it.
Works great and feels way better than the joy cons. Attaching it to the deck and getting started with them is pretty seamless. The only thing I would have liked is a wireless option, but other than that, this is a great piece of Switch hardware. I would think it’s not completely necessary if you don’t play with the switch in portable, but if you are in portable mode, highly recommended.
$80 is just steep for the split pad pro even with the controller attachment. If you play in handheld majority of the time just get the split pad pro without the wired connection.
I’ve used the split pad pro for over two years, seriously these things are durable and amazing. Love this controller so much and so excited that I can use them for the TV now.
Same as the previously released split pad pros but with the wired controller attachment included, i don’t think i’ll be using the attachment that much, so perhaps I should have went with the normal version. Great feeling controller nonetheless, the full size analog sticks are more sturdy and less prone to stick drift issues as well. I played hours of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 and it was a very comfortable experience. Highly recommended!
I have the old version too. This one is better quality and a bonus that you can use it docked i just wish it was wireless but I use it mainly in handheld
Absolutely love this controller. As someone with a disability who can’t spam buttons, this is perfect for me!
