We brought one if these to replace our hob and it was so easy to use and clean that we brought a second one. Looks lovely and modern and very fast and easy to use.
Has proved to be a game changer. Our only way of cooking in our rented home was with the aga which burns oil 24/7. Unfortunately we have no gas and no cooker plug, so this hob has been a life saver as it plugs straight into the wall! Saving us 500 per month currently on heating oil, which can be used for our central heating instead! #gamechanger!
Bought this Induction cooker for our boat. Installed easily and cleans very quickly and easily with a damp cloth and dry towel to buff. Using the buttons takes getting some practice but is easy enough. Immediate response to heat settings up and down. One problem is that if any water gets or drops onto the controls it turns off which is annoying. If for instance you lift the lid off a pot and the water drips down then an alarm goes off and everything switches off. Start all over again. In the end we used it about 10 times before it would not work correctly and had the number 8 across all panels lit up and there’s no error code for that in the manual. Tried multiple times turning off and restarting but to no avail. Got fed up with the thing and returned it. Would recommend buying another brand but thoroughly read reviews before parting with your money.
Fast, easy to use and clean, I love it. I’ve had an induction hob before and this one is even faster, just plugs into a 3 pin socket, ideal for a small kitchen or in a caravan.
Easy to use as a summer hot plate as our Aga is now off. Sits on the (now cold) warming plate and is grea
I like the induction hob even I had it for short time – let’s see how long it will last. Some recommendation for the manufacturers: 1) Do different colours – white for example – white are available only in double size2) The hob is not noisy, but still the noise can be reduced more and 3) It would be nice if the hob is with some kind of metal rime around/ look Bosh models/
The cooking aspect is excellent but find it hard to see control panel instructions.
I wanted to replace a large gas hob (90cm, 5 burner) with an induction hob and decided to go for this unit and another 4 hob induction unit. It’s worked out really well. Because of ease of fitting, I decided to go for units with 13amp sockets. This one came with a plug so it was easy to fit. I still got an electrician to fit it. He said that it may not heat up to the max amount compared with a higher rated hob but I have found no problem with this. It boils a saucepan of water in about a minute and it’s not even on its max setting. This unit allows a bbq trivet to span both burners. One quibble is that the controls are smallish but it’s the same on all hobs I’ve seen, even the more expensive ones. Perhaps it’s just my eyesight!
A + product is worth recommending. This product is well designed, easy to use, easy to clean, easy to cook. It has timing function. It can adjust the temperature at any time. Just click the screen to use it remotely. Having this product brings me happiness. It’s worth sharing and praise
Sits flat in worktop, looks good and works well. Fitted it ourselves, no problem.
I like the induction hob. It is very easy to use, quick, efficient and relatively quiet. Slight noise as it goes up and down in temperature. I love the idea that it boils, simmers and immediately boils again without me touching the control, so doesn’t seem to boil over, obviously you have to mindful to turn it down when its getting to high.. I bought this as an extra to a full size 4 burner induction. It has given me the insight I needed to feel happy with using induction. The only thing I haven’t cooked is chips, but I have been told it reacts the same as gas which seems to be the case so far. I would recommend this product.
Using as a portable hob – stow away in cupboard when not in use .Bought some 8mm rubber adhesive feet to lift the hob of the work surface to allow the fan to have the required air circulation – excellent hob.
This two plate induction hob is very good in my opinion. First, it was easy to build in to my worktop. Just measure the hob allowing for overlap of the actual plate, mark and jigsaw out your rectangle and drop the hob into the hole. The metal spring-clips on two sides of the hob keep it a nice, snug fit, but still allow for easy removal if needed. The electric wire is black, but I took the plug off a short wired extension socket, drilled a hole in the worktop just in front of my electric socket, pushed the white wire up through the hole, put the plug back on and plugged in. Then, plug the hob into the extension socket which is now under the worktop and out of sight.
As for operation of the hob, it’s perfect. Light touches on the control ‘buttons’ are all that’s needed. You can easily carry out the lightest of simmers, even down to just keeping slightly warm, the hob is extremely controllable at the lower end of the heating spectrum. Yet, just one light touch on ‘boost’ and the plate is on full power. Also, the sliding control to obtain the intermediate heat levels works very well, just slide your finger up or down to set your level.
Built in, the hob is very quiet. But, you can also use this hob freestanding without building in.
I thoroughly recommend this double induction hob.
I got this as a spare for our kitchen as it’s very easy to use by just plugging the wire. The hob has 2 heating zones which can easily accommodate 21 cms diameter pots at the same time. It has touch controls and comes with 9 levels of heat. It fairly easy to use and modes like child lock and auto shutdown makes it outstanding.
I mainly use steel pots and pans so I they worked well on the Hobs. Both the Hobs can also be combined to cook 1 large pan in flexible mode. The Hobs cools down within minutes due to fan cooling placed underneath. It’s easy to clean with damp cloth. It’s quite cheaper on amazon than ebay and other websites.
Absolutely great I bought two of these to have in my curry kitchen set up in my garage and they are every bit as good if not better than the one I have in the house that is much more expensive ,I would highly recommend
Ordered this hob for small kitchen which is desperate for more available work tops.
Hob arrived covered in polystyrene and extremely well protected in sturdy box.
When open the box hob is shinny black with slimline design that has 2 separate hobs which can be used in sync for larger items.
Hob is amazing, so easy to fit just plug in and ready to use. There are 9 power settings which are control by finger slide control, no pushing buttons or knobs to turn. Boast setting which powers hob to max temperature straight away.
Cooking time is a lot faster than previous free standing cooker hob I use to have. This resulted in a few burnt dinners until I manage to adapt to new super hob .
Major plus is you can use current pots and pans you already have, no need in buying expensive specially adapted pots. Child lock + feature are also great features added to this high spec hob.
Overall, I wish I change years ago. Has added 1000’s to my kitchen – opened up work space and works so much better than standard cooker hobs. Auto shut down feature is a life saver as I am useless in turning hob off as easily distracted when food is served.
I would recommend this produc
First thoughts:
I’m fairly new to induction hobs of the touch panel variety so this was a little bit fiddly at first. I can also imagine I’m going to have to do a presentation to my partner to pass on the knowledge or I’m going to be doing all of the cooking. Once I worked out the controls then it’s easy to use. The only on-going issue I have is trying to make incremental micro adjustments on the power scale (trying to set the heat at level 2, I consistently skip between 1 & 3 never being able to land it on 2).
Heat is pretty much instant using induction pans so I can transfer something on the boil to a vacant plate, switch it on and the boil continues (nothing needs to warm up first).
Detail and things to note (See pictures):
Glass plate topped induction hob that has a normal mains plug so it can be used without full installation.
A touch panel controls the 2 induction plate zones using a combination of single presses, slide gestures and press and hold commands. In short most of the quick commands involve clicking the icon relating to the induction area you want to control which will highlight it by flashing, then following up with a second command (most often sliding my finger along the power scale to increase or decrease the heat). There are also quick options for max heat. Off and hold warm.
Apparently you can activate both zones to make 1 large continuous area for a griddle plate but I didn’t have any that length to try (untested).
Plates will turn themselves off if an induction pan hasn’t been placed on the correct zone, I found this out because I couldn’t work out why it was beeping at me and I couldn’t set the heat. I hadn’t paid close enough attention to the zone icons and had the pan on the wrong one. An ‘H’ will also flash next to the zone icon to indicate the glass may be hot once you turn that zone off, even if you turn the entire hob off (not if you disconnect it from the mains though).
Inbuilt fan for cooling the system on the bottom of the hob and side air intake vent for airflow.
Final thoughts:
I’m really quite impressed with this 2 zone induction hob as a spare cooking area in the kitchen, I’m using it straight on the bench. It works with all my induction pans and although the zones looked small to me, the zones are large enough to accommodate the base of even my large induction pans (the pan may be large or small but the bases seem to be standardised to fit on induction hobs).
If there’s one thing that could be improved it’s that there are no rubberised feet on the bottom of the hob so it slides around dangerously on the counter top. I added my own adhesive foam feet to the 4 corners and it instantly stabilised the hob (seems like a fairly easy thing to have included in the design).
I could see this being useful for camping, smaller kitchens, student or rental properties where there’s no hob and camper vans.
Looks stylish and does the job very well so I’d be happy to recommend this.
This induction hob is very sleek and slim design. It gets hot very quickly and fast. My only problem is that this induction hob doesn’t work with most of my pan and pots only works on certain sauce pans. All the pots and pans shown on the picture don’t work on this electrical hob only stainless steel pots and pans. Also only one side can gets high to 9 not both side at same time. You can’t use medium size pot on both sections is difficult, It has to be large/medium and milk pan. You need watch it otherwise it will spill within seconds but is very easy to clean with wet cloth. No need scrubbing. It is also has child lock protection safety feature which is when you remove the pan from the cooktop it automatically turns off even if you forget to switch it off. The controls respond to touch, so you don’t need to apply any pressure. Simply adjust the power setting to your desired level with slide control. I have been using this for my YouTube videos because I can place it anywhere I want to shoot and I am very impressed with it. I would definitely recommend this it is easy to use and great quality . The original price is 199.99 but at the time of writing this review the price was 139.99 plus their is an offer where you can apply 40 voucher reducing the price to 99.99 which is amazing for this electrical hob.
I have been considering an induction hob for a while now, I first used one when I did a one day course in sausage making and was amazed at the speed of heating my water and spices. I decided to give myself a christmas present and decided on this model, I am glad I did. I am having it fitteed into my kitchen worktop shortly as I am having new worktops fitted but for now it is free standing. The fact that it does not need hard wiring is a boon because I don’t have an oven circuit so I need to use 13amp sockets for all my kitchen accessories (including my Smeg oven).
The fact that you can use both hobs at once makes this a very versatile unit, I wholeheartedly recommend this unit to anyone who is undecided.
What a fantastic induction hob. I have only recently discovered just how good induction cooking is. You don’t need to buy special saucepans as most of us will already have saucepans made from a suitable material. My steel ones work great.
I don’t always cook at home, about 50% of the time I cook at my other house that I am renovating ready to move into, that will take at least a year as I’m doing it myself. It doesn’t have a working kitchen yet and I was using just a microwave combi grill, oven. It is great to be able to cook properly there.
The hob heats up quickly and is very controllable. I love the ability to turn the two hobs into a large cooking area, fantastic for fry ups using a large griddle. It cools quickly and is super easy to clean. doesn’t need hard wiring so can be used anywhere.
Fantastic value and it looks as good as it performs.
This is a great spare two ring hob (although it’ a slider so I can put one large casserole on it or two smaller pans) and unlike others I saw reviewed there is no problem simmering on it. I have no intention of having it built into my worktop but can keep it in a drawer for when extra hob space is needed – ie Christmas – and also it will be very useful when my new kitchen is being fitted. Very pleased with my purchase.
Hob is nice and clean looking. We wanted one that could be used both freestanding and inset as we hadn’t decided what to do. It works fine on the worktop. Not too noisy and easy to clean.
Really impressed, not used induction before so did not know what to expect, we are in the process of extending the kitchen so this model was ideal to use on top of the worktop until we can build it onto our new worktops. Very controllable and easy to use and Keep clean, would definitely recommend.
Exceeded expectations, clean lines, easy to use, perfect where space is limited.
