I bought these two months ago as my first pair of true wireless earbuds. Previously I was using a wired pair of Bose QuietComfort QC20 in ear noise cancelling buds and I thought they were excellent. The noise cancelling was very good. Well the Jabra 85t smash those on both noise cancelling and audio quality, really taking them to a new level.
With the maximum ANC selected, you really can feel very isolated and detached from your surroundings. While walking you cannot hear your feet and vehicle and other noises are very well suppressed. Surrounding speech is barely audible. Wind noise is likewise very suppressed, only being heard when it is unrealistically strong. High pitched noises like birdsong just break through. This is all so much better than the Bose managed.
One press of the left ear can enable HearThrough mode which makes conversation vey easy. This doesn’t interrupt music playing though.
The Jabra Sound+ App is excellent giving 5 levels of control over both the ANC and HearThrough modes, allowing you to select just how much ambient sound you want to hear. Sound+ also allows you to control how the left and right switches operate. You can define moments for different listening situations and store configurations for each of those. The degree of programmability is excellent.
I was concerned about how well these would be retained in ear but I needn’t have been. You have to select the correct sized tip but I do like the oval shapes – they feel much more natural. Once selected the correct ones just feel very positive. I have never had one fall out except once while taking a fleece off over my head while wearing the Jabra’s – stupid really. I don’t use them for jogging though.
The 85t’s give well over five hours of real life ANC listening and the charging case allows up to four charges before needing to be recharged, which can either be with USB-C or using wireless charging. Again excellent. They will turn themselves off when not in use which saves battery further.
I was also concerned how the bluetooth 5.1 would work on calls but again this seems to work really well. I haven’t had complaints about call quality.
Overall the Jabra 85t’s are a most impressive pair of true wireless buds and I would highly recommend them.
Really love these new ear buds. I did extensive research for a versatile pair of ear buds and am very pleased with my choice. I have enjoyed them on a recent flight, providing great noise cancellation while allowing me to hear any announcements in the background. Audio quality is great, they are super comfy and battery life is great. It took me a couple of days to get the hang of how to sync them to multiple devices, but I have been able to successfully pair them with both my iPad and Samsung mobile phone. I use them to do livestream yoga and fitness classes, they stay in with lots of jumping, sweating and downward facing dogs! Also great for phone calls, the mic works really well. Highly recommended, good value for money!
Sound is great quite customisable but overall brassy signature – the ANC is very good and on calls you can hear and adjust your own background noise – overall sound quality both calls and playback o Avery good / in top bracket.
But it doesn’t beat the XM4s but then again you’re not paying a Sony Premium for a excellent competitive product near the same tier.
I’ve had a few Jabra products so know the general quality and own some 65t’s. I’ve recently lost some hearing in my left ear so a conventional pair seem quiet on that side. I noticed these are tuned to your ears through the calibration they do so thought I’d try them out. They’ve worked a treat and I get quite a balanced sound using them.
I also like the hear through function when walking my dogs as I can have conversations without having to pop them out. The ANC works well too, I sure them when mowing my own and the sound isolation for that is phenomenal. The sound is good and can be adjusted to suit, plenty of bass for those who need it. I use them for spoken word in the morning and it’s very clear. The large ear buds seem to fit me well and they stay snug in my ears.
Battery life is good and the app also offers some useful functionality such as modifying the function buttons. Overall very pleased and would recommend.
Have had the buds 6 months now and thought I would give my opinion, these are brilliant earbuds, they fit very well and never fall out, I wear them while working in a busy engineering dept and they are comfortable and stay put, the noice cancelling works very well and the hear through function is very handy,
Calls are very clear and people generally do not know I’m not on the handset, even when outside in windy conditions,
Love the app, very intuitive
Now for the best bit, the sound,
These buds have 12mm drivers which seem to open up the sound somehow, music I have listened to for years has taken on a new dimension revealing detail and nuances I had never noticed before, the bass is deep and punchy, but not overbearing and the midrange and treble are not to shrill or thin, the sound is like a warm blanket wrapping around your ears,
The soundstage is broad and visceral and the separation within it is very impressive
As you can probably tell I love these buds and can whole heartedly recommend them
They are up there with the very best, in my humble opinio
I love bass so much when listening music that I could never get enough and used to increase the volume and eq to get that feeling of deep bass. Not anymore. The eq has not been touched and the sound level has dramatically reduced. Praises to Jabra !!!
I love bass so much when listening music that I could never get enough and used to increase the volume and eq to get that feeling of deep bass. Not anymore. The eq has not been touched and the sound level has dramatically reduced. Praises to Jabra !!!
I use the buds while I’m out walking, running. The fit snugly without the discomfort of earlier designs (I have 3 sets of various Jabra buds). They do not fall out. Jabra have redesigned the bud for a better fit. The sound is crystal clear. Noise cancellation is very good. Though on breezy days you can hear the air rush past your ears. But I think that is systematic of all buds.
Calls are clear, the other participant can hear you without the need to raise your voice.
Obviously dependant on personal ear shapes and the different grommet sizes the noise cancellation is good though I personally can still hear slight noise in the background but for my first ever noise cancellation buds it does cut out a lot making what you’re listening to much clearer. I recommend doing the test with different grommets to see which suits best. Hear through is great so you are not totally isolated from the outside world and traffic. There was wind noise on a biIke which the ANC did cut out totally. No worries of them falling out while cycling though I was only on level tarmac & grass, they feel firmly in not as though they would want to fall out. Sound is good with the app choices of equaliser and set up easy to use. My hearing isn’t the most perfect but I was more than happy with the sound quality.
The overall package combined with the app i would happily recommend. Wireless charging is a handy added feature as I have a double wireless charger for both iPhone and now earbuds.
I’ve now owned and tried both the Jabra Elite 85h Over-Ear headphones and the sports version of these, the Jabra Elite Active 75t, I was looking extremely forward to trying these out to see whether Jabra have made any noticeable improvements in build and quality.
When comparing these to the Active 75t pair, there were some noticeable differences.
To me, the sound quality seemed to be much better than the Elite Active 75t and the speaker units were twice the size on these, being 12mm.
In terms of looks, they pretty much look the same to me other than the cases. If I had the same colour for different variants, I’m not sure whether I’d be able to tell them apart.
However.. with the driver units being larger, the earbuds themselves seem to be larger too and it doesn’t sit as comfortably as the Active 75t do, even when changing the ear-tips.
As with the other Jabra products, you can pair these with the Jabra+ application, where you can tailor the sound to be unique to you alone.
You can either use the swipe down menu to access the pinned Sound+ options or you can open the app.
Both of these methods show the battery percentage of the earbuds and the case but you are also able to change the moment and sound mode with ease.
When I take an earbud out and move it away from the other, it will automatically pause the music which is really helpful when I need to talk to someone. As soon as I bring the earbud closer to the ear and the other earbud, the music automatically resumes. This is a really cool and useful feature to have.
On phone calls and online meetings, I’ve been using these earbuds and I have received positive responses on how clear my voice sounds. This will most likely be due to the extra two microphones these earbuds have over the 75t.
The battery life seems to be pretty much the same as the 75t, showing a maximum life of 25 hours which is only an improvement by 1 hour. The case charges via USB-C and a cable is provided alongside spare ear-tips.
This charges pretty quickly as a 15 min charge allows up to 1 hour playtime.
One thing that I didn’t like was the static sound that always seems to be in my left earbud whenever I’m listening to something. As soon as I pause the audio, the static hissing stays for about 3 seconds before it disappears.
This is more noticeable in these earbuds compared to the 75t where it wasn’t as bad.
Overall, Jabra have done a good job in making these 85t. They may be a bit of a chunkier design but the sound benefits that follow are well worth it.
The quality of the buds and the charging box is superb. The setup is easy and just works. Then you can download the app and use that fine-tune your preferences. Very comfortable to wear, three choices of gel sizes. Can’t really comment on working out, but I walk outside a lot and the ANC setting (set on at the tap of a bud) really cuts out any wind noise… then turn it off again for walking on the highway. A great product… no nonsense, excellent value, excellent quality. A mere detail but definitely a plus is that Jabra offer different colours, other buds seem to all be black or white. Expensive, but worth it… I would definitely recommend this product, I love it.
As a happy owner of the 75t earbuds I’m pleased to say that the 85t seem to be better in nearly every way, with the call quality and ANC being impressively good! They work perfectly with my Galaxy S20+ and I really like the Jabra phone app as its well designed and easy to use.
Music sounds amazing, plenty of bass, clear vocals all amounting to a very enjoyable listening experience.
Battery life is brilliant, around 20 hours in total when listening on high volume with some ANC and I especially like the new addition of wireless charging on the case.
Calls are so clear and most people I have spoke to using the earbuds mentioned how well they could hear me.
Overall, I think the 85t is an excellent upgrade over the 75t earbuds and well worth the money. Highly recommended and easily worth the full five stars!
These earbuds are quite good and design of them is OK comfortable and also you can change the silicone part as in packing came different size and you can choose whichever is suitable for you.
I like how long it keeps the battery and it does run up to 25hrs.
What I didn’t like is the sound quality , for the money it has when I reviewed them the sound should be very clear which is not that ,
Personaly think they are good earbuds but not for the money they are selling right now at over 210 it 8s big money and quality should be improved
I have a few pair of Jabra earbuds. These are without doubt the best.
The packaging these arrive in is smart, neat and compact. It’s also entirely sustainable, and although there’s a lot of printing on the card and paper elements, the printing has been done using soy-based inks. There are no environmental nasties. The packaging still looks and feels high end — with an outer sleeve, a hard-sided board box, and moulded card holding the cased earbuds, and a neat little packet containing the smaller and larger sets of gels, and a short length USB-C charging cable.
I have a birth defect twisted ear canal in one ear, which can affect the fit of ear buds. Some don’t fit at all; others need to be twisted to an awkward angle to get them to sit in my ears and they don’t always stay in if I start moving about. A few actually fit. These, like a pair of 75t earbuds from the same brand, fall in to the latter category. I did have to swap the gels over (they came with the medium-sized ones preinstalled) before they would fit — switching to the smallest size, a process which is a little fiddly — but with this done, they’re a good, snug fit that isn’t prone to easily dislodging.
These arrived with some pre-charge and immediately entered pairing mode on being removed from the case. They can be paired with a range of devices including desktop/laptop computers as well as phones and tablets, but for full support these are designed to be used with phones and tablets rather than computers.
The ANC works well, but does burn through charge at about 6x the speed of without this switched on. The sound quality is excellent — these are the richest-sounding earbuds I’ve encountered.
However, although I really like these earbuds, I’m not willing to give them 5 stars. At in excess of 200 I don’t like the constraints that tailor these for phone (and tablet) use: I own multiple devices and would prefer to be able to use favoured headphones/earbuds fully across the entire range of devices, whereas Jabra deliberately separate computer-based and phone/tablet-based usage. This divide is arbitrary and frustrating. And I say this as someone who has received computer-based and phone/tablet-based devices from this brand as free to review items. I would give these earbuds 5 stars, because I think they’re really, really good but the division of purposes does not seem reasonable. Especially in an era where working from home (that doesn’t necessarily include employer-supplied kit) has become more prevalent. At this price, these are great earbuds: but constraining full usage to non-computer mobile devices is not.
I got one of my daughters to set these up with my phone as I aren’t the best at technology and installing this sort of thing. I have two different sets of wireless ear buds for my kindles and listening to books but these wouldn’t connect to either kindle.
It only took her minutes to download the app and get me set up on my Samsung android. I found that they are very comfortable to wear and fit snug with the buds that were on already. There is a further two pair enclosed if they are required in different sizes. There is also a small charging cable.
I have listened to a reasonable selection of music and found the quality very good. When I went out walking the connection stayed good and the music played continuously. I would be happy to recommend these.
I will only write a few thoughts on these buds as there are numerous detailed reviews online which describe features etc. I will focus on three things, fit, sport and how they compare to 75t.
How you feel about the 85ts will all depend on the fit. They fit me so I really like them but because there are only 3 sizes of tips in the box others may have more of a problem…from looks of reviews this could be as high as 20% – not getting a great fit affects sound quality. Jabra supplying 5 eartips of different sizes would go a long way to rectify this but they only supply 3.
Are they useful for sport…in my ears they’re not suitable as they’re not as secure as other sports orientated buds but they are great for walking etc.
What are they like compared to 75ts. They’re not as secure (75ts are great for working out) but I prefer the more expansive sound of 85ts. 85ts also are more open in design so have not got an earplug feeling which many in ear buds have.
These headphones are insane. I used to have the 75ft Jabra headphones and I thought they were great but these are a step beyond even those.
The thing about them is the sound is clear and really easy to hear every different note and tone as well as having great bass and a decent app to control the sounds. The best thing though is the noise-cancelling, I sometimes need to sleep at work at night in an emergency and the environment is noisy but these earphones can be worn comfortably even to sleep with and NOTHING penetrates the noise-cancelling ability.
Comfortable, easy to use and built really well. These are the ear buds you want.
Top stuff.
Lange Akkulaufzeit, Wireless charging
We have a Jabra home Bluetooth speaker which we’ve had for a couple of years which is fantastic and the best small Bluetooth speaker we’ve had to date in terms of sound and quality, and likewise with my partner’s two Jabra Bluetooth headsets (last year he replaced his very much loved trusty old set with a newer model), and he has the 75t model of these too so I was really pleased to have some decent Bluetooth in-ear buds for myself after being disappointed with the last couple of cheaper brands I got and am really pleased with these – beyond the basic Bluetooth function and being able to have these cable-free my excitement and expectation was based solely on the sound and on that front these are hand down the best sound quality I’ve experienced to date with in-ear buds, either Bluetooth or wired. It’s a really nice full sound where you don’t have to compromise clarity for volume, the bass is good – rather than a muddy mess, and I haven’t experienced any clipping or issues with the highs – for me this is heaven as I usually have to settle with low volume and little bass to retain any clarity with cheap-to-mid-range headphones and I’m so happy to have these. Really pleased!
I’ve only been using these whilst sitting at my desk so never have the buds too far from my phone or PC and as such haven’t had any issues with drop-outs at all and found them very easy to set-up/pair. I can’t say how well that holds up in a heavy/very active work-out environment as far as drop-outs on the connection go as I’m keeping these for best and will continue using cheaper ones for that. But all the others functions work really well, the battery life is good and the quality is great as expected from Jabra in terms of build and finish and I love how comfortable and compact they are. Don’t have a bad word to say about them and would definitely recommend giving them a try for the sound quality alone.
The product is great: the sound quality is really good and the noise cancellation also works great.
The ‘HearThrough’ feature works fine, but it feels like you’re using a microphone on you which then transmit the sounds on your earbuds, I don’t know how to exactly explain that, but it feels artificial.
While on phone calls, the earbuds don’t filter noises around you, I’ve tried with different people and different applications (phone calls, WhatsApp, telegram) and everyone complained about too much noise from my side (cars passing by, wind sounds, people talking in the background).
Pairing is easy and quick, with both Android and iOS devices.
The battery life is something Jabra always is the best at. Outstanding battery life, lasting hours and hours.
The type-C case allows you to recharge it quite fastly as well, with the case having also a wireless charging option.
Great product overall!
These arrived in a branded sleeved box with images along with listing core function details, the box slides out with a glossy quick start guide on the top running through connecting the earbuds, getting the sound+ application, how to use them and labelled diagrams detailing the areas of the earbuds and their functions. Inside you get small cardboard two section tray containing in one section two different sized earbud tips making three pairs in total and the USB to USB-C charging lead, in the second section you get the earbud wireless charging case with the earbuds already inside, under the try you have a booklet with safety information and warranty details.
First impressions: the case is matt black and has a rubber feel to it with a USB-C port in the back for wired charging and the LED charging indicators on the front, the earbuds have a very similar finish to the case with the fine detailing on them appearing flawless, both buttons on the buds have a good positive click to them that only takes a small amount of pressure to activate, these have slight tweaks and improvements from the previous version such as the LED on the case being moved from the back of the case to the front, the charging pins are slightly further apart, the design of the earpiece has been changed to a more oval shape rather than round and the angle changed, the case is slightly larger I presume to accommodate the wireless charging technology, they are also slightly larger than the previous version I presume to accommodate the 12mm drivers and six microphones as opposed to the 6mm drivers and four microphones in the 75t’s.
I put the case on charge to ensure they had a full charge before use and to test out the wireless charging feature which worked as it should, once charged I set them up, as I already own the 75t version of these earbuds I didn’t need to get the Sound+ application and once they had connected it prompted me to give them a firmware update which I did taking around 15 minutes with an onscreen walkthrough. After they had updated I gave them a try out.
I find them a lot more comfortable than the 75t’s which are quite comfortable but I found with these I could wear them for 4 plus hours at a time still hardly noticing I had them in as opposed to around 2 hours with the 75t’s when I feel I need to take them out for a refresh, I found the size difference negligible and the only difference being visual when compared and not noticeable when being used. I found the initial default sound slightly lighter than that of the 75t’s concentrating more on a mid range rather than the heavy base although of course sound output is a preference and I set them up through the Sound+ app to my normal taste.
I tested out the ANC (active noise cancelling) multiple times in different scenarios and could not really say there was a enough difference between these and the 75t’s since they got their firmware update to add ANC, in some cases I thought the 75t’s better and in others cases the 85t’s although the ANC on the 85t’s is adjustable which helps, I tested out the autopoint connection which worked perfectly, I do really like the push button system on these and I know some consider push button a thing of the past and touch sensor is always the way to go, I find accidently brushing a touch sensor earbud often leads to unwanted change or function so prefer buttons, these have a slightly lower protection rating than the 75t’s being IPX4 rather than the IP55 or IP57 you get with the sports version 75t’s, this makes no difference to me and my usage but may be an issue for some, I did find these connect to my phone slightly faster out of the case than the 75t’s and is almost instant.
Overall these have a fantastic sound quality, they are very comfortable and hold in the ear well, I think the Sound+ application is superb and allows a mass of customisation to get the exact sound you want along with adjusting the button functions and more, the minor flaw for me and the same with the 75t’s is you can’t use just one earbud, for some it may not be an issue but I find at times it’s irritating and would have like to have seen the ability to do this added to the new version.
I have used earbuds for a while, even Jabra branded ones, but nothing comes even close to the sound quality of these!
They fit like a tailored velvet glove into your ear, and even when jogging I never once felt in any danger of one falling out.
The sound – just WOW. I have a pair of higher end gaming headphones with multiple large drivers which struggle to do better than these tiny ear buds. Quite how they do it is beyond me, but they certainly do manage it!
The Noise Cancelling is brilliant, if a little complicated to set up “right”. Took longer to set that up in a way that worked well than anything else with these earbuds.
The Hear Through felt a little disappointing to me, if truth be told. It worked, do not get me wrong. But maybe my expectations (based on the advertisements) were too high. I could hear people talking around me with it on, but they sounded more like they were a part of what I was listening to and it ended up being something I switched off when in the office as I simply could not get it where I wanted it. I had hoped it would only pick up close people/those talking directly to me and that it would keep the sounds separate so I would know it was outside the music.
Charging and use was as advertised, managed to get 4 full days use out of a single charging session!
My only groan would be the price.
219.99 for a pair of earbuds is, to me, extreme.
The performance is certainly worthy of such a price tag, I definitely agree.
But I am not so certain that anyone but the most discerning user would notice the difference between this pair and one a few steps down the range.
However – I will say this as my final comment.
If money is not a concern – then this is the pair to get.
The 85t looks very similar to the 75t, with a slightly bigger charging case but still very compact. Even with the small case, it gives another 20 hours battery life on top of the 5 hours offers by 85t. A 15 minutes fast charging will allow an hour of playtime. In addition, the case is now Qi wireless charging enabled.
What I like about the 85t is its build and design which definitely fits really well and is very comfortable to wear. Very effective ANC (active noise-cancellation), although at its highest setting, it inevitably impacts the sound quality to some degree. The good thing is the level of ANC could be adjusted through Jabra’s “Sound+” app. The app is also capable of many other customizations, from EQ adjustment to defining the functions of the control buttons. Within the app, there is a “MySound” option that runs a hearing test to allow 85t to set you a personal hearing profile. Some may prefer a touch-surface control, but my preference is to have an actual press button as the 85t does.
Overall I would highly rate the 85t, my only drawback is if it could be priced a little more competitively.
This pair of earbuds are very well packaged and very well made as you would expect for this price point and brand name like Jabra. I have owned many wireless earbuds including a quite a few ANC ones, and I must say this one worth the price tag with the sound quality.
The sound is not bass heavy but you still get punchy bass. mid and treble are very warm and clear. Overall very balanced and versatile.
What is highly recommended is to download the Jabra Sound+ app onto your phone and follow the app for a personalised hearing test. After the test, it will personalise the EQ for your ears! And the difference is night and day from stock EQ! There are many things configurable in the app such as controls and EQ settings.
A few cons I found:
– I would not wear this doing any running or sport, they dont stay in the ear even with the right size ear tips.
– I am getting crackling noises in the kitchen next to the boiler, which is very strange. No problem elsewhere though.
– Oval shaped ear tips won’t allow me to use my own replacement tips or foam tips (you could still force it in but not designed for that), Jabra 75t has the universal rounded tips, not sure why changed it.
Overall, the quality is in the top tier of truly wireless ANC earbuds leaders, worth spending the money in my opinion if you are looking for decent ANC with decent sound quality. If you already had the 75t – not worth the upgrade.
These earbuds are really good and very comfortable. Sound quality is excellent. They have stayed in position during long walks, however there have been other times when they have easily fallen out of the ear. So perhaps not for strenuous exercisers. However they are tough and have survived the numerous drops undamaged!
They were easy to set up, though you do have to download a separate app and I haven’t had any issues connecting them to my phone, in fact they connect as soon as I lift the bud out of its case.
The buds also talk to you letting you know when they are connected or switched to noise cancellation mode.
Overall I really like them and have been reaching for them over my Apple pods.
The sound quality of these is absolutely awesome. is above the average competitor within the same price comparison. I’ve had the 75T version, but this 85T has so many improvements in it. They are really comfortable; I can use them for long time, but they would sometimes slip out of my ear while on a call same as the 75t. The Jabra headset pairs both with my PC as well as my phone, but the features of earplugs are designed to use with phones. They paired flawlessly and it can be paired with 2 devices. The long battery life is a plus. There is a built-in mute button on the buds, which is a plus. With the one touch on the earbuds, you have Alexa, Google or Siri if you are connected to your phone. Pass-through mode lets you hear the outside world with just one tap on the left earbud so you can talk with someone nearby or hear what’s going on without having to stop your music. And it really does have noise reduction. The Sound+ app is pretty good; you can personalise your sound settings including EQ to make the music sound how you’d like. The small charging case easily fits in my pocket and gives about 10 hours of battery life.
Pros:
1) Great sound. Great bass. Just fun to listen to all-around. Fuller sound then the apple pods.
2) Excellent connection for calls and video meetings.
3) A good app with many convenient controls including equalisation, app control by earbud buttons, etc.
4) Top-notch outgoing sound quality for calls. Really good. Friends can’t tell I’m not speaking directly into the phone. Works well in noisy environments.
Cons:
1) I keep getting random notifications from the Jabra app, which sometimes is annoying.
2) Google Assistant takes a while to summon with button tap
3) Occasionally I do get some “pops” with the sound passthrough.
In all honesty I don’t think you will regret buying them, Jabra is quality and I legitimately think these will last.
I’ve reviewed earbuds and wired earphones from very low price of a tenner right up to these so it’s good to see a contrast. I have to be honest that I’d never heard of Jabra before so maybe I’ve been living under a rock or something but now I’ve got the 85t and tried them I have to say they’re incredible.
So I’m not a sound expert but I do like a lot of bass and not sounding tinny. I also listen to music but also a lot of movies so I can’t have any sound lag.
They arrive in a nice printed box. You can see when you open the box that the plastic and build quality is excellent. It’s obviously far superior to my old ones. There are many more pros than cons to these.
Pros :
* I love the app that sets them up for you I’ve never had that with any of my sound devices.
* The oval ear gels. I’ve never found any round ones that fit properly and these actually do. There are pressure relief vents so they don’t start to really hurt after a while.
* 6 microphones for making and receiving calls. Crystal clear compared to my current one.
* They work with alexa
* Lightweight at only 7g each
* The colour is a million miles better than boring white
* The sound is like being in the cinema and if you close your eyes you could be there. They also have advanced noise cancellation with an adjustable slider.
* The charging case means there’s no fiddly plugging in.
* Over 5 hours of battery life means I can watch two movies before charging them.
Cons :
* The price obviously but you’re paying for quality and innovation here.
* They can be seen in my little ears quite a lot but nothing’s going to help that.
I think these will appeal to all age ranges from teenagers. I wouldn’t let any younger children take earbuds out in case they are lost, especially not at this price.
The only other bearbuds I have that are this quality and price are wired and meant for sound engineers. My others sound good but aren’t of this calibre. I wouldn’t have ordinarily bought these purely because of the price but now I’ve tried them I’ve realised that you do get what you pay for and these are excellent value for money in terms of quality, sound quality and innovation. I’m 100% recommending these I love them.
Omg, I never used Jabra before but my husband did . I am honestly amazed by the quality of the sound. I would describe it as “a total completely different level of music”. Wow, I feel I use never use my other Bluetooth earbuds anymore. I can hear great strong bass very well. The app sound + helps tailored the suitable sound range for you. The active noise cancellation is so good . I can be really focused on my study . You can link to up to two devices. I have linked to my Google 5 and pc. They work fantastically. I can leave my pc on in attic and can still hear the song when I was on second floor. Can’t say more how much I love this
After trying many different wireless earbuds I finally settled on the Jabra 85t’s. The main reason for this was the fact that they have an open design which I find much more comfortable than the closed design of most of the other earbuds I have tried over the years.
At first I tried the 75t’s, but found that because of their closed design, my footsteps boomed in my ears as I walked which was unacceptable. Because of the difference in the open and closed design earbuds, I found there is absolutely no comparison between the comfort of the 75t and the 85t. The 85t’s have amazing sound and call quality. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for a premium wireless earbud.
Although closed design buds probably have better active and passive noise reduction, the ANC in the 85t’s was adequate.
As in aside, they are the most comfortable earbuds I’ve ever worn.
There’s a saying that you only get what you pay for, well it certainly holds up true with these ear phones.
Up to now I’ve been using an original set of white longish wireless earphones that came with my phone and was fairly happy with the sound but when I received these and after downloading the App (recommended) they run through a sound test and optimise the sound specifically to your result to get the best from them.
I know they aren’t cheap but was blown away by the quality and totally immersive sound they give, the high frequency sounds are crisp with a bass that doesn’t seem achievable from their size.
They also have a longer battery life than my others.
I tested them on a phone call and even though I deliberately spoke quietly, the other person said they could hear me crystal clear.
I’ve even used them on my computer as gaming headphones and again told how clearly I could be heard.
They were easy to adjust in my ears and find the best fit, they stayed put and felt comfortable.
I’ve absolutely no qualms!
Amazing!
I have now fully tested the Elite 85t and overall, I would rate these a 7.5/10. The packaging is very sleek, and the setup guides are very simple to follow. I would advise setting them up on your phone first with the easy to use app. They will connect to other devices without the full setup but I feel that the auto adaption to you personally really helps improve the experience. For the first week my ear were in a little bit of discomfort over long periods of use but I have not been feeling anything for the last couple of weeks. I would advise not jumping to the conclusion on comfort because now I am well adapted. They do feel secure in my ears but there has been the odd occasion they have jumped out. I am avoiding running with them for this reason. The battery life is a little contentious for me as I feel I get about 3 hours of use before they start to run out but that will be impacted because I am connected to both my phone and laptop at all times. If you are on all day calls then I would not recommend these because they don’t last as long as I expected. Overall, I was impressed with the ANC functionality against my over ear high end branded headphones. I would say the cancellation scores highly for me in this area and was surprised based on some reviews I have seen. I also rate the experience of someone else on the other end of the video call. I always ask if they can hear the noise coming from the background and no one can. I would like to see an improvement in the distance before cut-off. I walk about 6 meters through a glass door and they end. I am probably expecting a little too much of the technology though. All in all, I am very pleased with the Elite 85t and would recommend it to some who is looking to now splash out more than other more expensive brands but wants quality.
With the world of hybrid working and video calls, plus cycling to the office on the couple of days a week I do I need something that can do it all, and overall the Jabra elite 7 Pro tick most, if not all the boxes. With loads of features, and a compact design. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for quality true wireless earphones!!
First impressions — Just like most premium true wireless earphones these are very small, as is the case, and therefore great to put in your pocket and take them with you. The earphones themselves are neat, and look great. They were easy to pair and I could connect to both my phone and work laptop at the same time.
The sound — Music sounds great, and very rounded. They are a little more bassie that some other headphones I’ve had and I like that. The sound quality for calls (traditional and video) is ok, but I have had a couple of drop outs during calls. Where these have really excelled is in the ANC whilst on my bike, a real game changer for that annoying “Wind” noise!
Other – the controls are easy, and offer great control of pausing/skipping tracks, voice control (tried with Siri), changing volume etc. Basically everything you could want.
These are really great. Look sleek, great range of bud sizes for that perfect fit, small but secure in the ear, I am really enjoying using them! The case is nice and secure too, the lid stays on tight which is one thing I was worried about. I am finding they have excellant call quality and noise canceling. I tend to use these more at work (I drive HGV lorries so there is constant noise ) during a call I am told you cannot hear background noise or wind blowing, which is fantastic. It is great having everything personalised to myself using the app, I can adjust the noise cancelling, bass etc. The battery life is amazing, the have lasted almost a whole week of pretty heavy use without needing a charge, which is very decent. So far, so good!
I’ve used the previous generation Jabra Elite 75t as my daily earphones for months now, so was super excited to try the newer 85t. At 219.99, I was expecting a leap over the previous generation but unfortunately, this wasn’t the case. There’s still plenty to love about the new 85t, and if you should buy them depends on what earphones you use now. Firstly, what’s new? The 85t have more powerful noise cancellation, upgraded sound and a wireless charging case. The Sound+ app you use is great, reliable and straightforward and the ANC is superb, I was able to drown out all sorts of noises and fine tune the ANC using the Sound+ app too. I love Hearthrough, allowing you to hear the world around you at the press of a button. To achieve this new ANC power, Jabra added additional microphones and this seems to have completely changed the design of the earphones. They’re huge and I couldn’t get a comfortable fit, plus the oval shaped eartips mean that you can’t get replacement ones easily. They’re well built though, the case is sturdy and battery life is great.
Well after reviewing and testing the Jabra 75T earbuds which i found a bit of a disaster as they kept falling out then had a major technical problem, so it was with intrepidation that i pay out 219 for their supposed better brother?? First of all i had next day delivery with Amazon Prime and as soon as i unwrapped the Jabra box i found even getting into the Jabra packaging was easier than the 75T, i opened the box and took out the earbuds – charger box and spares gells plus charging lead and instructions, FORGET the instruction book the writting is in such small format its a waste of time!! however once you download the Jabra App the instructions are their in larger format, i charged the earbuds fully then installed the up to date firmware then fitted the eargells that were most comfortable for me, imediatly i found the Jabra 85T a better fit and with comfort again much better than the 75T, i conected to my audible app via bluetooth and was stunned at the clarity, these are SO much better than the 75T!! so i played with the equilizer a little and found even better claritable audio from the narritor reading the book on Audible. The next day was the real test 2 hour walk in windy conditions! 2 whole hours walking and they stayed in perfectly, this is SUCH a PLUS, with the 75T i had lost faith in Jabra but with these faith is now restored!! using the ANC i find blocking all background noise out is best for me – although they block it out so much ou cannot hear any vehicles until upon you, but still i find this the right setting for me, in extreamly windy weather such as this morning yes you do get a little wind noise BUT its perfectly acceptable, im partially deaf and have absolutly no problems hearing my audio books using my own settings, everything on the Jabra App is very easy to use – you even have a ‘Find my Jabra’ facility! theirs several different factory settings for audio with more bass etc etc but simply altering the graphic equilizer and saving for your own perfect listening is what i found easiest for me. all in all i can fully recomend these Jabra 85T earpods for long walks even on rough ground because they do stay were they are put, i do really like the magnetic earpod charger/case they just click in to their beds, ive never had them run out of charge and had on walking for 3 long walks now of at least two hours per walk so that is quite impressive too. hopefully being shower proof they will stand up to the Cumbrian weather – we’ll see!!!!!!!!!

Telefonieren/Mikrofon(e):
I’ve had some impressive headphones over the years but these are the best EARphones I’ve ever owned. The quality of sound and noise cancellation is exceptional, but it’s the smaller design features that have really impressed me.
For example, the buttons you press to skip track, pause, etc, are really soft and quiet, so you don’t get a big *ka-dunk* in your ears each time you press them. Another example, the grill is part of the actual earbuds so you can take it off and wash it when it’s getting gunked up with earwax, something you can’t do with 99% of earbuds. Even the app is simple and easy to use, and I generally hate the apps that all decent earphones seem to require these days.
I’ve found them to be comfortable and steady, they don’t tend to slip and I can wear them for a long time. The charging case is small and feels sturdy and durable.
I particularly like how easy it is to customise the functionality. With the buttons, you can decide what a single press or double press controls on either earphone, so you can set it up to match whatever you were used to using with your previous earphones. And that voice that says “connected”, or “low battery”, etc… You can change that to bleeps, or you can just switch it off completely.
Finally, perhaps the most significant feature with any bluetooth device, these earphones connect instantly. There’s no waiting around for 20 seconds whilst your phone has a good scan of everything, they just connect as soon as you open the charging case.
Very impressed.

I brought them for the insider campaign nearly a month ago and have used them for a while for several occasions: working out, talking on the phone, listening to music while doing house work and many more things. I love the fact that they are customisable and can fit nearly everyone’s shape and size of ear as they have 3 different sizes . Also, charging them was extremely easy as the case is wireless . They have a reasonable amount of life and don’t need to charge very often, which is handy when you need them for a long period of time. At first I found it difficult to understand how to change songs, answers calls and other things. However, once I explored more on the Jabra app I found out you can customise this so that its convenient to you, making it easier. They are incredibly handy when you want to get away from your surroundings with the noise cancellation function on the earbuds. I was disappointed that there was no alert when they have die they just stop playing. Overall, I would recommend them to anyone who want to have a high quality sound and magnificent experience anywhere they are.

Hi everyone.
I want to tell you about my experience with Jabra Elite 85T headphones . First of all, i want to let you know that earbuds are used mostly by me for music and long conversations. In my opinion Jabra have developed superb noise cancelling system that can separate you from everyday noise, what is important when you make business calls in busy environment.
Battery last pretty good taking price range into consideration. They fit just perfect for me but here we must be clear that everyone have different ears. Sound quality taking music into consideration is average (i would prefer a bit mote kick from low tones), for a phone calls they are perfect.
Microphone could be better but i was testing it mostly in hard weather conditions that’s why my opinion can be different to someone who using them in the office.
Overall build and sound quality place them on the same place with other premium brands earbuds in this price range. I can recommend them to every working person who need reliable buds with premium look.

Jabra are building something of a reputation when it comes to tech-packed earphone smarts. The Elite Active 75t proved popular and now the Elite 85t has bumped up the noise-cancelling and the result is a slightly bulkier set of buds but massively improved sounds with a better balance and deeper base than its predecessor. The noise cancelling is impressive with a tailored MyFit experience driven from the app. HearThrough – an ANC mode that allows key environmental sounds to penetrate the noise-cancelling wall is also impressive. The buds come with a charging case which can be juiced up via cord or wireless charging. Expect about 5 hours of ANC (noise cancelling) from the buds and plenty of top-up time from the case. All in all these are well worth considering if you’re looking for stylish earbuds with noise cancelling credentials.
The new Jabra Elite 85t are the latest Earbuds from Jabra and already having a couple of good sets of buds I wasn’t expecting to be as impressed as I am.
Set up was easy and the customisation is excellent. (Again, very easy to do)
I have connected them to both my phone and my PC for work.
What stands out to me is the pure quality of sound. I use them on conference calls and they work perfectly. Not only are the calls clear and crisp but everyone hears me clearly too.
When Im not on conference calls I listen to music and news on Youtube. All i can say is wow! Music through these buds is outstanding.
Battery life is pretty good. I had conference calls for over 5 hours and they just made it.
They fit well. I have changed the rubber tips to the largest ones and I find I can wear them for hours with no issues.
Positives:
Very easy set up
Great sound Quality
Comfortable.
Noise cancellation is pretty good
Negatives:
Expensive
Conclusion: If you can afford them, well worth the investment.
These are great for when you use your phone or tablet but beware the noise cancellation doesn’t work if you use it on a computer for doing Zoom calls for instance
After a lot of hype and excitement, I’ve tried the new Jabra Elite 85t earbuds and I can say without doubt these are the best I’ve ever heard. The sound quality is superior which is aided by the Active Noise Cancelling feature with the option to switch to HearThrough mode by simply pressing the earbud. I was amazed how well it blocks out sounds from traffic when outside and even more rewarding when using it indoors as common distractions like juice blenders and loud chatting go unheard. These benefits are most noticeable when making and receiving calls. The clarity is so clear allowing me to stay in contact with clients in Zoom meetings.
Battery life on the Elite 85t lasts between 5.5 and 7.5 hours depending on the settings used. The battery management is great as it can be easily controlled on the app. Sleep Mode preserves battery life by turning off the buds when inactive anywhere between 15 minutes and 2 hours, whichever is preferred. The rest of the time I leave the buds in the case which is magnetized to keep them secure whilst they charge wirelessly. Thanks to Bluetooth 5.0, once charged, my buds pair automatically with my smartphone, tablet or laptop, allowing me to get on with my day.
So if you want wireless earbuds, packed with loads of useful features in a tiny package with great sound, look no further than the Elite 85t.

– Schnellstartkarte incl. Angabe welche APP man wo laden sollte.
Man wei immer genau was man gedrckt hat. Hier weiss man genau was man macht und was daraufhin passiert.
–VERBINDUNG(Bluetooth)–
Sehr cool.
The music quality is great, sound cancellation surprisingly effective and application even more surprisingly actually useful. Bunch of presets for the EQ that make it easy to play to the specific strengths of the music you’re listening to like bass or mid-range focussed songs. Only reproachable thing is that they don’t fit quite well enough in my ears. However, they do supply 3 different sizes of tip which is very thoughtful, although i suggest they implement wing tips in the next model. They’re a bit heavy so for working out i probably wouldn’t recommend but I haven’t tried it.

eally like these ear buds. I would definitely recommend them. They come in a natty little box which acts as a charging unit and easy storage case when your not using them which is fab. They are stylish and sleek. On top of that they have a range of ear gels different shapes and sizes so you can get a snug fit. Set up; This was super easy and quick. Totally surprised and they adjust the sound so it’s optimal for you. Use: I have to confess that I have not gotten to grips with what each button does as it’s a bit hard to remember and easy to cut Poe Poe off by mistake if you don’t remember. Apart from that the sound quality is amazing for calls and for music so I’d highly recommend them. For calls there are ace and can be paired to two devices which helps me no end. For running they’ve been great too, especially having no wires. And the snug fit means I’ve had no probs with them slipping out. For my work out hit sessions they have been slipping a little which is a bit frustrating.
I have been using many types of headphones & earbuds for many years now, both wired and bluetooth. I have multiple sets from different companies. In my opinion, there isn’t one set that is ideal for all types of listening. I like a big over-ear, ANC set for when I want to really chill-out on the sofa listening to music or gaming, I have a wirefree set for weightlifting and a studio quality wired set for when I’m mixing music and plugged into my DAC. The Jabra Elite 85T have very comforably replaced my weight lifting set. They have great, balanced sound and the active noise cancellation is something I’ve previously only had for my over the ear sets. These earbuds have managed to withstand quite a few workouts without budging from my ear canals, so big credit for that – The sound quality is very good for earbuds, I wasnt expecting the same as my full-blown headphones, but they come in pretty close. With ANC turned on, there can be a bit of interference from the wind when I went running, but in my gym they are perfect. I don’t really use them for calls, but I did test them out breifly. The results were good, I could hear clearly and my test caller also said I came through ery clear. The app on Android is great, I really enjoyed playing around with the sound stage and tweaking it to my liking. So much better than trying to push the equaliser in Spotify or the music player. Overall, I think they were a solid purchase for use during my workouts. I still will revert to my other headphones when playing games/listening to music in the house, as the sound-stage isn’t as wide and the ANC isn’t as clean as my headphones.
I am one of those people who needs earphones to cover quite a few scenarios. Taking calls at work, listening to music at my desk, working out and commuting (when we are again able to!) The elite 85t earphones offer all this and more. The sound quality is great, one of the first earphones that I hadn’t felt the need to try and artificially fix the sound via the equilizer, it’s already good enough. Having said that, the app is also a joy to use on my android phone. One of the other really useful features is the ability to connect to two devices at once. This is fantastic when on a zoom call on my laptop, then back to my phone seamlessly for music! All in all, if you’re after discreet earphones that sound fantastic you can’t get much better than these jabra 85t’s!
Very happy to have Jabra85t
First of all sound quality:
Let me review sound quality as it matters most when you buy any earphones
The sound quality is excellent
All the highs and mids and lows very clear
The good thing is you can control the sound via app it has worked as treat for me compared to my previous earphones.
Bass is punchy but not over powering treble very clear without being too noisy.
Overall I am over the moon with Jabra earphone
I finally found something I have been waiting for
Charging:
The case charges with earphones around 7-8 times for me and cherry on the cake is that you can charge the case wirelessly.
Build quality is excellent too it has good weight to it.
Water resistance: I worked out few times on my treadmill and did sweat as lot but it hasn’t affected the Jabra 85t and it did not fall.
I managed to get snug fit with the help of extra earbuds provided.
Overall I am very pleased with the product and I can recommend to anyone who is interested in good sound quality wireless earphones.
Good sturdy packaging, easy to follow quick start guide in box. The headphones case is solid, weighty in your hand or pocket and well made but a bit slippery to handle. The Sounds+ app guides you through the process of setting up well, I didn’t need to concentrate on following instructions. The sound balance test was interesting and means that I get stereo in the middle of my head and not to one side as I do with wired headphones, obviously clever software compensating for some difference in each ear. I have listened to music, rock, pop and classical. There is good bass and I heard bits of a Fleetwood Mac track that I’ve never picked up before! I listen to a lot of podcasts live speech radio and sports commentaries, the headphones are good at this too. The noise cancelling is great, I will need to experiment more on a car journey or out walking, but it is good indoors at cutting speech or a TV. Being able to touch the left ear-pod to toggle ANC with HearThrough is great. The microphone picks up speech well when i have made calls and the the ability to change the amount of your own voice that you here, Sidetone, is an excellent function. I have used the 85Ts around my house and so far not had any bluetooth issues, the signal pickup is strong.
Pretty sure these are one of the best earphones out on the market, the sound quality is amazing and the sound cancelation is amazing the battery life could be improved but for a size probably it could be difficult but overall I’m very happy and impressed
I used the Jabra earbuds on my meetings when my kids where running around and it was much better than anything else I used before I was able to turn the noise level dowm

So I got these for my husband to try as he works in a noisy environment and also often goes out running. He’s had wireless earphones before but hasn’t found any worth while. After trailing these he has found them excellent and stay in place when he is running. The noise cancelling aspect is great and he can listen to his music when working without any interference. I’ve rang him a couple of times when he’s been using them and I couldn’t tell that he was talking using the earphones as there was no interference and I could hear him really clearly. These are expensive but after having the 75t and also now trialling the 85t I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again in the future.

First and foremost, the sound. This is the hardest topic as it has a lot to do with personal preference and the music you listen to. The most high level description I could think of would be to describe them as being more like close back headphones than open back. They have 12mm drivers which produces more bass than most IEMs. This makes them ideal for electronic music, pop, other bass heavy music.
They are also great for watching movies & series. After playing with the Jabra App I was able to EQ the 85t to sound great with acoustic music too. Out the box I think they are a little bass heavy for some Instrumental genres but that’s where the App comes in handy.
The noise cancelling is great, I tested it against a few other noise cancelling headphones and I couldn’t pick a winner. This isn’t a bad thing as the others are known to be some of the best. I found while making calls the Jabra did a fantastic job, having all those microphones sure helps out. Even made a few calls while walking by a breezy river and didn’t have any issues.
Jabra have the Exercise category covered, they are splash proof (IPX4 rated), so a little bit of sweat should be fine. They also have a great fit and don’t protrude much so the centre of gravity is closer to the head. This helps them keep in place during workouts. I didn’t have any issues with the Jabra throughout a workout unlike my previous earphones. The Jabra I could put in and forget about.
The other thing I really liked about the Jabra are the physical buttons, they are much harder to accidently press whereas my other earphones are touch sensitive so while adjusting them, there is a good chance of accidently changing the settings. Some people think physical buttons are outdated but not in this case.
Using the Jabra 85t has been a great experience. Firstly I would like to say for having immense sound quality you have to have either hear through or ANC turned off. However the hear through feature is really effective while walking to work something I couldn’t experience before while listening to music before due to being less aware of my surroundings. The ANC is very impressive even while on the train I can’t even hear the sound it makes when ANC is turned on. I recommend these headphone for people who like EDM, bassy type music. The battery life is great, I haven’t even charged the main carry box yet. In regards to the call quality I did not have any problems with this and I like the fact that the earpods activates hear through when you answer a call. The earpods fit my ear quite well, they haven’t fallen out of my ear like previous ones did. Its must have if your looking for premium earpods
These earbuds are the best sounding wireless earbuds that I have tried so far. The app makes it so easy to adjust the sound to your individual taste. The noise cancelling is also great for an earbud and cancels out most of the surrounding noise. The only issue that I have found is that the fit is not as secure as some other earbuds because of the oval shape of the silicone tips, however they are extremely comfortable and you hardly notice that you are wearing them. They are not suitable for active workouts, but they are secure enough for everyday use and light jogging. The case can be wirelessly charged, which is a a great feature as well as USB C.
I highly recommend these and I will be purchasing a different colour next month when they are released.

I have been using the Jabra elite 75t for a few weeks now. I use headphones for multiple web calls a day for work and also to listen to music whilst at the gym. The instructions and set up were really easy to follow on multiple apple/android/Windows devices and I like that you can have 2 connected at any one time as I means I can generally keep my work phone and computer connected. I found the controls easy to use and remember for volume, hear through etc. And have found hear through settings very good when working at home whilst looking after my little girl. Whilsy connected to my mobiles I can use the dull range of controls however when connected to my Surface Pro via for calls Via teams I found you lost some control for muting etc. As it was connected for media purposes and not for call functions but I think that would be the same with any wireless earbuds. I have found the earphones very comfortable to wear and think they look quite smart too as you don’t have over ear elements although they feel secure and no sticks picking down. Despite being small they feel firm and havent come loose once yet even when exercising. I am also very impressed with the sound. It is very clear and the hear through function is brilliantly clear also. Another big bonus for me has been the battery life. I use them hours each day mid week and tend to only have them plugged in for some time at the start of the week and replace onto their case after each use. Battery hasnt even dropped from green yet. The only downsides for me are you can only use the right earbud alone. If I’m using just 1 I can really feel it at the end of the day if it has always been the same one. Also the lack of ability to control call controls on Teams calls. Otherwise I am very impressed

When I first unwrapped the product, I was somewhat dubious. I already own a set of Jabra 85t which I use for training but always had difficulty with the fit. I needn’t have worried because as soon as I started using the Jabra Elite 7 Pro I was amazed that Jabra could actually improve the sound quality. The sound quality is awesome and the noise cancelling is superb. I have promoted them to primary headphones and actually started using them for work instead of my traditional boom headphones and colleagues have commented on the sound quality of the mics. In terms of flexibility, the benefit of having a wireless charging case is great as I put them on a charge pad and forget about them. I use my charge pad which I use for my phone, so no need for multiple charge cables. Overall I’m really impressed at the versatility of these ear buds and the sound quality. Yet again another great product from Jabra!!
These are the best wireless ear buds I have tried, and over the years I have tried lots. They fit very well, after the correct sized bud has been fitted, and they actually stay in place. Sound quality is great, noise cancelling works very well , and making and receiving calls has so far been fine. My main usage has been outside walking and running through the delights of a Scottish winter, so I can’t comment on how they perform in hot sweaty environments, but so far so good and I thoroughly recommend these buds.
These are my first set of wireless earphones, my current ones are Beats X which I am happy with sound wise but I tend to have one earphone in most of the day & the wire can be a pain & get caught up. First impressions of the Jabra 85t earphones is great, very neat, compact case. They look smart & are comfortable to wear, I’ve not had a chance to wear them out for a run yet which will be a deal breaker for me. They are simple to use & sound quality is good. Battery life is also impressive. Overall I’m very happy with them so far, I will update once I’ve used them for a bit longer but so far so good & I would definitely recommend them.
Having owned a few other sets of wireless earbuds (including the previous model, the Elite 75t’s), I had one or two gripes with each set that I was hoping the Jabra Elite 85t’s would quash. I was hoping they would tick all the main boxes: sound quality, fit, and battery life.
On first impression, I was worried that the Elite 75ts weren’t going to stay in my ears very well, as they lacked the “fin” that other buds have, which when twisted upon insertion, lock into the natural shape of the ear. However they do still have a “twist” method of insertion in the ears, staying in place (as far as I gather) with just very good moulding of the body of the headphone into the concha. I did find them to sometimes require a little “relocking” during running sessions (especially the left bud, though over the years I’ve come to the conclusion I just have a weirdly shaped left ear). The silicone earpiece is now an ovular shape, which Jabra states gives a better seal in your ear canal.
The Jabras also sound excellent, much improved over even the 75t’s (which were already great), thanks to the increased driver size. They are a little bass heavy, but this can be adjusted in the Jabra Sound+ app, which provides a decent equaliser to tinker to your preference of bass, mids and trebles.
Passthrough mode returns from the 75t’s, but Jabra have also added ANC with the 85t’s. Not commuting these days, I’ve not been able to give the earphones the most ideal test, but they have worked as well as other ANC headphones that I’ve got in my testing around the house.
Battery life on the Jabras is also the best I’ve come across on any wireless buds so far – I think I’ve only charged the case once with a week of fairly heavy use. Jabra claims 7.5 hours with the buds themselves and another 28 hours in the case, and I believe that. The case has also been improved over the 75t’s as it can now be charged wirelessly.
Overall, the Jabra Elite 85t true wireless earbuds are excellent wireless earbuds and very worthy of the praise they have been receiving. Fit feels nice, sound is excellent, and with the addition of ANC and a wireless case they are a worthy upgrade over previous generations.
I recently upgraded to the Jabra Elite 85t from the Elite 75t. The newer version are even better! You really notice the bigger drivers in the earbuds. They produce a better quality of sound, particularly for bass. I had issues previously with the headphones clashing with my bluetooth smartwatch. The issue seems to be fixed with this newer version, using the Jabra app and my smartwatch at the same time now works seamlessly.
I was slightly concerned with the oval earbud design as I’ve only ever used round in ear buds before. After using them for a while they have proved just as comfortable, possibly even more so.
Battery life is excellent and being able to put them back in the case for a while to charge up on the go is handy.
I’d highly recommend the Jabra 85t to anybody looking for wireless earbuds.

Great Ear Buds when connected to Android or IOS. Pros: – The fit is great and semi-comfortable for my ears. I am wearing these for long sessions and it’s comfortable, to begin with then my experience is my inner ears begin to ache but it’s not too bad if I loosen the fit to my ears. I was initially worried about the open design and oval-shaped buds, but I was very pleasantly surprised in the end. – The sound quality is great, the bass is solid. If you want more bass you can always use the EQ on the app (which is also great). – ANC and HearThrough modes are fantastic. I don’t know how ANC compares with other premium models firsthand, but it seems perfect for my needs. – Wireless case is great. Sleek design and wireless charging, is good to have just need to get a wireless charger now to test it out. – Battery life is as advertised, and pretty much what you would expect from a premium pair nowadays. – Call quality is very clear. Cons – Multipoint is great if it worked I’m getting intermittent disconnections with my Ipad the sound keeps dropping while watching youtube videos and I’m not sure why as this doesn’t happen with my Samsung mobile that’s also connected therefore I’m not sure if this is a software issue. UPDATE: – This was solved with a software update and now works as expected
These earphones are stylish and comfortable to wear. They have a very decent battery life and the sound quality is good too. The price tag says it all but in a market flooded with this technology I feel you do get bang for your buck with this product. There are different sized ear buds so they fit all sizes, they were pretty comfortable to wear even for a few hours and they are pretty easy to set up and use even for someone who isn’t clued up on the latest tech! Glad I purchased and will be recommending to all my friends and family.
Everything is OK except the fitting. I really like that the buttons are physical and not a touch sensitive areas.
But with the fitting is there a company that will create custom ear pierces?
I bought these for two reasons: 1. to cancel noisy discussions at work and 2. while on my bike trainer.
The ANC is adequate for the first reason and it helps on deadening the noise of a tumble drier in the garage while on my bike.
For the second use, I can keep my head still enough that I only have to try to re-position one an ear bud every so often. How anyone can move I do not know.
So I just want an ear piece that fits and stays in.
I have a 65T and the ANC is so much better in the 85Ts. The sound maybe considered better too. I hoped the ear bud fit would be better in the 85Ts but I am yet to be convinced.
I had this great opportunity to test Jabra Elite 75t. So before I had a first go with new Elite 85t I had some expectations. I was absolutely pleased with the 75t’s. The 85t’s on the paper been very promising. True ANC, bigger 12mm driver, wireless charging as a standard. I expected bigger sound, better ANC experience. But my assumptions been wrong in terms of sound reproductions. The Elite 75t are known as a bit boomy. Sound signature for me was excellent, after few tweaks in Sound plus app everyone could adjust the level of bass to his preferences. With bigger 12mm driver I thought that the sound will even bigger, even more bass. What I actually found was more clarity, more details, more mature signature, wider soundstage, surprisingly less bass out of the box, but that was very positive for me. It’s the next level comparing with previous model. Next thing was the new shape of the earplugs tips. I was used to the 75t’s. They fit great, deep in the ear canal. Perfect for any sport activities, running, exercising you name it. New shape of the ear tips in Elite 85t doesn’t get as deep as the 75t’s. Initially I was a bit scared that they will drop off my ear. But I can say for sure now – the new shape seat in ear canal more gentle, less fatigue for long listening session – but still confident for any sport activities. I run, jump with skipping rope – no problems whatsoever. Additional two sets of tips in two sizes will be handy for anyone with bigger or smaller ear canals to get perfect fitting. The ANC. That’s a game changer for me comparing any different top brands of true wireless earbuds. You can adjust level of noise cancelling for your preference with Sound plus app. That’s I think ,the strongest point of new Elite 85t. Phone conversation on highest level even in very loud environment thanks to ANC. Wireless charging allows you to top up batteries quickly when needed. For me new Elite 85t are the best true ANC earbuds at this moment. It’s the mature version of predecessor Elite 75t with many small and big improvements which makes the perfect companion on the go.
From the unboxing experience to actually using it, everything is great about these earbuds. I have reviewed many earbuds , but have never experienced anything like this when it comes to ANC quality, battery levels are very good, wireless charging a big plus, sound quality very good and is now less bass heavy compared to the 75t which suits my personal taste, the ear tips are very good and i did manage to get snug fit. Multipoint connection works a treat , i had one connected to my MBP and other to my phone. Music stops as soon as it’s removed from the ear. The ANC Levels can be controlled how much you like which is very big plus. I played a video to simulate a noisy place and it almost cutout all the noise when i was standing next to the speaker, quite impressed. I have already recommend this to some of my friends who Sought my advise from me their next earbuds. my use case is Webex /zoom etc meeting , watching movies , playing music etc. My only gripe is i do feel like removing them for 10-15 mins after 5-6 hours of constant use before reusing them again.
Once you can figure out which one is LHS or RHS I found these are a joy to use.
Been used extensively whilst an inpatient on a busy , noises hospital ward and although I was using them to listen to audible books it was still blocking the back ground noises during gaps in the audio.
The one thing I wouldn’t recommend them for is use on the public highway as the ANC is just that good.
Battery life appears to be greater than spec, but that could have some bearing to the audio being used.
Finally Jabra gets it right, previously had the 75ts but the bass was unbearable even when adjusted. Was apprehensive about getting the 85ts incase the sound was along the same lines. Thankfully its been addressed and you get a better all round sound comparable to the sony wf-1000xm3. Noise cancelling is excellent good fit, great battery life with wireless charging. Delighted to have finally found a pair of wireless buds il be keeping.

Comparing to Galaxy buds live(latest Samsung ear bud) no sound lag when using on Ios,Macos,Windows,Android devices. Comfortable beyond and above. Sound quality better than Bose QC35 over ear. Active and passive ANC – a next level! Sound through – a wow! Wireless charging case, battery life, call quality meting all expectations. Supports 2 unparalleled devices. Worth every penny. Almost forgot app features very impressive, and yes these available across the platforms not just IOS or Android but also Windows.

The Jabra Elite 75T’s cover a lot over bases that I consider necessary for Bluetooth IEM’s. Dual device connectivity with active call switching, check. Active noise cancellation which is configurable via the Jabra app, check. A degree of water & dust resistance (IP55), check. User configurable sound or EQ (via the app), check. Call & music control via the IEM’s, check. Digital assistant (Siri, Google & Alexa), check.
These are feature rich IEM’s however there are some notable things missing. The biggest is the lack of high definition audio codecs, which will ultimately affect the sound quality if you are listening to high bit rate or lossless music files. The Elite 75t’s only support SBC & AAC audio codecs, there is no support for aptX, aptx-HD or LDAC. This is a serious omission, so what does this mean in the real world, if you’re an iPhone user not a lot. iPhone utilises the AAC codec and it’s highly optimised in the iOS operating system. However, if you’re an Android user, then you’re potentially missing out on the ability to listen to your music in the highest possible quality, and considering the cost & competition this is disappointing.
Ease of use is where things get interesting with the Elite 75T’s, the Jabra Headphone app makes the initial set up of the IEM’s a breeze. It walks you through a hearing test so you can configure them to your personal tailored sound profile, it also allows you to configure the button controls on each IEM to your own personal taste. I honestly haven’t seen any other IEM’s from a mainstream manufacturer that you allow you this degree of customisation. The app also takes care of other duties like providing an equaliser to tailor the sound to your liking and also the level of active noise cancellation, update the firmware of the IEM’s. Finally there is also the Find My Jabra function, which can help you find lost earbuds, it can locate each individual ear bud and get it to play a high pitched sound to aid finding them. Now that’s a really nice touch!
To conclude, for iPhone users the Jabra Elite 75T are a no brainer, cheaper than the competition, more features & better sound quality the competition. For Android users it’s not quite so clear cut, there are equally capable competitors out there that support more HD audio codecs, so in theory should produce a better sound. However in testing I found that not to be case, the Jabra’s held there own so colour me impressed!
Do you like bass in earphones? Then these are the buds for you – the bass is enormous!
– SOUND –
Once adjusted – awesome. Out the box – I never thought I’d say it for a pair of tiny earbuds, but they probably have a bit too much bass by default that overpowers everything else somewhat. I typically listen to music with quite a lot of bass, and I felt like my brain was being liquified… My normal EQ settings are very similar to the “Energetic” EQ mode in the Sound+ app, but that made it unlistenable.
However, this is a really easy fix with the really convenient and easy to use Sound+ app. I turned the bass down a touch in the equaliser and they now sound awesome. Great clarity and range, and my go to test track sounded exactly how I’d want it. Lows clear, and highs never getting distorted even at high volume. Overall very impressed after some tweaking.
An annoyance I have is you can only use the right earbud alone as the left connects to the right, rather than your phone. Shame really as like to have the options, but not the end of the world. It does mean though that if you take the right bud out, even temporarily to hear, the music will shut off.
– CALLS –
Everybody I have spoken to on the phone has said I sound very clear with no real background noise, and the quality of what I am hearing is crisp and clear. The sidetone feature is great to be able to hear yourself somewhat whilst speaking, and allows you to still comfortably speak with both earphones in rather than having to take one out to save you echoey boomy head voice. Not perfect but a definite qol improvement.
– FIT/COMFORT –
I always go for the largest earbuds and these provided a great seal and block out plenty of sound on initial testing. Unfortunately for me, they leave somewhat to be desired on the move. The larger size tends to gradually want to slip out for me, especially after significant talking, and the smaller eargel is just too mall to adequately block out sound and create that good seal. One thing – be careful when taking off the eargels, they have a very secure fit and the silicone doesn’t like stretching.
I like how small these are in your ear, and they definitely look swish. I do wish they had a slightly rubberised texture though, like the active, as they are VERY slippery to handle so you had better take care!
– USABILITY –
Dead simple. The Sound+ app is really easy to use and allow for good EQ adjustment, presets, earbud shortcuts and more. You can configure each earbud for single, double and triple tap commands from a preset list. Which covers most bases. Only thing these earphones could have maybe done with is volume controls or at least an option to use the button press combinations to adjust this, but hey ho.
Battery life is stellar on these. I have used for almost a full day and never run out. Chances are you will have breaks during wearing, and these little charge-ups mean you will rarely run out of battery during a day – if ever.
– NOISE CANCELLING/HEARTHROUGH –
Active Noise cancelling arrived on the earphones via a firmware update in October – the first time any earphones have got this after launch. This adds a really great feature to these already great earbuds and it works very nicely indeed, blocking out a very large amount of background noise. As they aren’t designed for noise cancelling, it isn’t the strongest and isn’t adjustable but gets the job done nicely.
Heathrough is also a great feature that really does allow you to hear the surrounding world with your buds in – and is adjustable in the Sound+ app. Also handy for those times you maybe want the “do not disturb me” look out and about but want to hear all.
– CONCLUSION –
A good buy, and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Good sound, lots of features and great battery life. Noise-cancelling now makes these even better for no extra cost as well! I’d go for the active model over these for the better feeling buds and waterproofing, but these will always be that bit cheaper.

I can summarise these earbuds in one word – QUALITY! From the first moment I opened the packaging I noticed it. When compared to the cheaper (30) generic set of Chinese earbuds I bought from Amazon (you know the ones…) the carry/charging case had a noticeably smaller footprint, sleeker shape and was made of much higher quality plastic/rubber feeling material than the flat black plastic of the cheapo pair, the sleeker shape and smaller footprint made them much more pocket-able when travelling. The quality of the charging case also made me consider that the actual battery pack inside the case would most likely be of a higher quality than that contained in the cheaper set, which when I’m carrying it around in my pocket could be a genuine concern if it ever caught fire or something.
Moving onto the earbuds themselves, first impressions were that they had a very “premium” look about them, you could see the holes cut into them for the microphones to handle calls and came bundled with 3 different sizes of rubber adapters for different ear sizes which is pretty standard. They also feature a large button on each bud that controls various functions such as pause, play, skip etc. and various assistant functions like google and siri.
An area where I always though these wireless earbuds would fall flat when compared to my over-ear headphones was noise cancellation, how could such small ear buds that go inside the ear really match those that cover the ear completely? I would place them somewhere between my over-ear headphones (that cost 3x the price!) and the generic set I bought, but certainly very close to the over-ear headphones. Traffic, wind and even my partner trying to talk to me in the same room (I’ll leave you to decide whether that’s a “must have” feature or not) are completely inaudible when the earbuds are fully inserted. One very nifty feature that is also present in this set as well as my over-ear headphone is the ability to activate a “hear-through” mode, which uses the in-built microphones to transmit the sound through the headphones. Essentially it allows you to have a conversation and hear the other person perfectly without the need to remove your earbuds.
The only negative I feel these headphone have is also part of a nifty feature they have above my generic ones, which is when you remove one of the earbuds this is detected and the music is paused automatically. This means you can only use the right earbud solo, not the left.

I have been using a specific headphone brand for the last ten years and I was incredibly happy with them, especially their sound profile and signature, however, I purchased their latest product which disappointed me. I then went onto review sites and the Jabra 75T seemed to be the headphones that met my requirements, that is how I arrived at this purchase.
The Jabras arrived and I have to say the packaging feels premium and so it should at this price point. The earphones themselves feel well made and robust. I downloaded the App and this too is quite slick. Connectivity is seamless and all of the features are superb. The fit and ergonomics are also excellent.
On first listen I found these earphones too boomy, the bass isn’t tight and punchy it’s loose and distorted. I decided to burn these things in overnight to see if that would improve. I have been listening to them for two hours now and the sound profile is not quite what I’m used to, the bass is over processed and very boomy, the mids and trebles are overpowered and muffled by this. I can’t say these are bad, they are not, they are very good in fact but even with the equalizer in the APP I’ve found it very difficult to create a sound-stage I like, I’m used to a higher lever of fidelity and clarity, I guess they’ll do for the gym and cycling but not much else more.
Overall I was expecting so much more but was probably mislead by other reviews.
