These are amazing. They were a gift to me a couple of years back, and they never leave my side. The battery life has been excellent, they’re extremely robust (I actually had the case drop out of a pocket in the street on a wet london night, found everything and they’re totally unharmed), and they sound amazing.
One point though, even the largest gels just don’t hold well in my ears. I’ve lost the left bud twice while working in places it was very hard to find it – but luckily I have a metal detector.
I’m hunting for aftermarket gels now to see if I can find anything better. I really can recommend these though, they’re excellent and the price now is unbeatable.
It’s very good noise cancelling for that price. Battery lasts long and fits well in your ears
For earbuds, the sound quality is amazing. It also sounds better than my gaming headset. You can hear each instrument in the songs.
Battery life is amazing!
The only downside is the ANC but does block out some sounds.
Would recommend!
Gift for my husband. He says they are great for listening to music, and podcasts and excellent for phone calls. I say they are great because he can’t ignore me any more!
Used mostly for calls and podcast but sound quality seems very good.
The sound is excellent and the best I’ve tried so far in comparison to the size. I’ve tried Sony XM4’s which are a little better overall but much bigger in size.
I can compromise a tiny amount of sound quality to have much smaller buds.
My primary reason for switching away from the Samsung ones was because some people, me included, have a kind of allergy to the actual materials used in the Samsung ones (not the tips but the actual buds) and after prolonged use of the Samsung ones my inner ears started to feel like they were burning and the inside skin began to peel and become very irritated.
I have no such problem nor any other problems with the Jabra Elite 85T buds.
The only slightly downside is that it is a tiny bit heavy, but nevertheless sits perfectly in the ears.
For calls and for music the sound quality is very very good I have a pair of over-the-ear Jabra elite 85h headphones and I think although not as good is pretty close, certainly much better than any other pair of earbuds that I have previously owned.
I have used these daily on my commute to listen to music and to watch some Netflix and the sound is great the noise cancelling is very effective and the volume of the ear buds can get pretty loud but the noise cancelling is effective enough to hear even quite dialogue when watching movies.
Quite a few of the reviews mention the large form of these earbuds and yes they are quite big and I understand what’s being said regarding feeling like they may fall out however having had them for a week I have never had them fall out and when you try to remove them you do realise they are securely in your ear I guess this is possibly to do with them being larger maybe slightly heavier than previous earbuds I’ve owned and they just feel a bit different however I they are comfortable even for long term use and once you get used to the fit it’s no issue.
I do enjoy listening to music and that’s why I have my over-the-ear Jabra headphones however I’ve not used them this week as the sound quality for the earbuds is right up there and I guess that testimony to how good they really are. I did manage to buy these on an Amazon Warehouse like new deal and for that kind of money they are an absolute bargain. Now that I actually own them I think that if I were to lose them and subsequently have to replace them I would be quite happy to pay the full price, so that maybe tells you how good they are

But these are truly superior headphones. I was extremely happy with my other earbuds, but these are amazingly comfortable and sound so good it felt like a step into another world. I have no vocabulary for describing the quality of sound, except to say that everything sounded so alive, so rich, so deep.
And the noise cancellation is absolutely out of this world. Actually the headphones combine both passive and active noise cancellation. I went for a walk thinking that active noise cancellation was working, and was entirely satisfied. But it was not! Once switched on everything except the music vanished.
The talk through feature is also great. Microphones pick up outside sounds and send them to you via the speakers. Conversations amazingly become clearer. Honestly it all feels like magic to me.
I have an iphone. Connection was pretty well instantaneous. The Jabra app is very nice too, and I am particularly pleased that it keeps a record of where your headphones are! That will probably save me a lot of time and money.
I realise they are pretty pricey. Actually I would not have paid full price and bought these via a “warehouse” deal. But now that I have tried them I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed even at full price. Really, how could they be any better?
I’ve always been a fan of Jabra products. I use their headset for work and I also have their sport headphones and the sound is always incredible and these are no exception.
These come in a fantastic and compact charging case with the cable needed and interchangeable ear pieces for the best fit. The smallest suited me perfectly and these have a good fit even when I’m running, whereas my previous cheaper buds would fall out and risk getting lost so I’m very impressed with these considering I have very small ears and struggle usually.
These connected immediately to my phone and the sound is immersive and smaller sounds I wouldn’t usually hear were louder whilst listening to my music. Noise cancelling is good, there are no outside distractions, it’s just me and my music!
Recommended, another amazing product, I would always recommend Jabra.
One more thing: The noise cancellation can also be tuned to environment, such as turning a busy rail station into total silence, even without music playing. Incredible buds
The design on the actual earbuds is great too. They fit great in the ear, and are not uncomfortable if you are using for long periods, like other earbuds I have used in the past.
The button press instead of touch sensitive is also a great feature, as you avoid accidentally pausing your music is you are adjusting them in your ear for example. The button press feature is definitely one of my favourite features of this product.
Then finally the quality of the product. The sound is excellent, and with the Noise cancellation and ambient sound capability, the earbuds allow me to use in in noisy and quiet environments seamlessly.
I am very happy with the purchase, and would highly recommend these to anyone who wants all the key features for earbuds without have to pay too much compared to other comparable brands
Out the box, they come in a smart compact box, that acts as a charging /storage point
Quick connect to the Jabbra app
I have been watching movies, playing games and listening to music via my phone
All have had great sound quality and I could hear some extra background sound, which I didn’t expect.
The noise cancelling was great, especially when working on DIY or just out walking back from the school run.
The hear though is a great idea for cycling or use on the roads… But is a little strange.
Excellent battery life.
Great sound quality and can really kick out the sound of you want.
Solid design and fits well in the ear.
Happy with my purchase and would recommended
Comfort:
One of the reasons for purchasing these, is that I found that the Air Pod Pros can be knocked out of your ear easily, by doing something as simple as moving your hand towards your face to scratch an itch. I had no such issues with the Elite 7 Pro, in fact they felt incredibly secure, and I didn’t feel concerned about them falling out, even if sprinting.
This security does come at a price of comfort during prolonged use. For me, I started to feel like they were too far up my ear canal after around an hour of use. This may be tied to pressing the button, which forces the bud into your ear each time. I actually prefer pressing the stalk on the Air Pod due to this. Maybe it could be resolved by placing a hardware button on the side instead.
I’d struggle to call a winner between the Air Pod Pros and Elite 7 Pros here. Let’s call it a draw.
Sound quality (music):
I care greatly about the quality of the music that I listen to. I have a mid-high end audiophile setup at home, but prefer not to spend over the 200-250 mark on buds as they could be easily lost whilst out and about. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting these to sound as good as they do, very comparable to Air Pod Pros out of the box. This is then greatly assisted by the customisable equalizer, a feature really missing from Apple. The app is easy to use and configure, my only gripe is that the frequency range isn’t shown on the equalizer graph. Due to the nature of the fit of these in-ear buds, they can pump through a tremendous amount of bass; enough to give you fatigue quite quickly, but this is resolved by tweaking the equalizer, or saving custom profiles to switch between. You can tailor the sound profile to your own personal tastes, or change it depending on the genre you’re listening to.
A clear win for Elite 7 Pro.
Noise cancellation/hear-through:
This is where the Elite 7 Pro began to come undone for me. Both of these settings can be customised to your personal requirements, however neither seem to be as good as Apple in my opinion. The noise cancellation just doesn’t really work for me. Even when trying an appliance like a hair drier, it just isn’t fully blocked out. The hear-through option doesn’t sound as natural as it does through the Air Pod Pro, it feels like it amplifies background noise, as I assume as hearing aid would. This volume can be tweaked, but then this seems to block out some noises that you may want to hear, such as a car at distance.
Air Pod Pros win this category.
Call quality/microphone:
I found these were very reasonable to speak through. I use my phone frequently through the day and was happy with the quality I could hear, however as soon as I began taking calls outside, I received comments that there was too much background noise to hear me. During one call, I was told that I could hardly be heard due to wind. To be fair to Jabra here, I’ve had issues with Air Pod Pros doing too much noise cancellation when cars are driving past, cutting out my voice; but they have obviously gone too far in the opposite direction.
My belief is that this will likely be fixed in a firmware update when they’ve had enough data back from customers, but for now Air Pod Pros win this category.
Summary:
I am very satisfied with the customisability of the Elite 7 Pro through the Sound+ app. I’m hoping that I get used to my comfort issues over time and that Jabra continue to release firmware updates (I’ve already been through 3 or 4) frequently to address issues based on feedback they receive from customers. If you’re mostly interested in using buds for calls, or don’t want to mess around with customisations, pick up a pair of Air Pod Pros. If you want to tweak your music listening experience and want a secure fit, go for the Elite 7 Pro.
The battery life is good.
They fit my ears ok but sometimes don’t make a proper seal .
They have hear through mode I like it if your talking to someone or need to hear sound around you.
What I don’t like about them :
Cant use left earbud alone because the right one is the only one that connects with the phone .
Noise cancelling nearly makes no difference.
The original price of 160 pounds definitely not worth but got them on sale for 90 so I’d say that they are good for the buck on sale .
Some people might prefer:
They have buttons instead of touch sensors for controlling .

My first use of these was on a works Zoom meeting and they performed magnificently, I could have closed my eyes and felt I was in the room. While speaking there were no issues with hearing me either. Great start.
I then went for a walk down a busy ish street and put on an Audio book, although the pass through allowed me to hear the traffic it was subdued enough that I could immerse myself into the story, THe narrator’s voice seemed to be coming from my own head. Very happy with that!
Now for music – I tried a range of different genres and used the app to adjust the sound levels, you can either use the defaults or move the sliders yourself. I found the music to be full and unlike listening to it straight from the phone or TV you can hear the fine details and all the under layers.
Lots of options to adjust and test the earbuds and totally worth it for a great experience.
Very impressed overall with these earbuds although slightly marked down the noise cancellation due to being spolied by a BOSE Quietcomfort headset over the years but for earbuds, they are really realy good at it.
The battery is phenomenal – Ive used my loads and not had to charge them yet! Mostly thanks to the charging case.
One last point is the buds can get very cold, not a complaint just an observation. Mine, when I received them, had obviously been in the delivery van for a while and me sticking them straight in my ears had a chilly shock!
Out of the box, the case and build of the earbuds are immediately impressive. Both solid and attractive, they feel robust and sit flat into the ear. Compared to some other earbud cases I’ve seen, this is a nice compact size that doesn’t take up much space in a pocket or bag. My only niggle here is that the case could be easier to open, but this isn’t a big deal. The earbuds themselves fit comfortably and are quickly forgotten.
Jabra have created a useful app that is very simple to use, providing some great options alongside simple touch controls in the buds. My favourite feature is the ability to toggle between ANC (active noise cancellation) and HearThrough (which makes hearing outside sound easier). It’s very simple to go back and forth between these options, and there is a significant difference between the two. HearThrough eliminates the need to remove the earbuds to talk to someone in a store, for example. Very clever! The noise cancellation is good, if not great, but I don’t think more could be expected from earphones that are not over-ear! I have noticed that there is not a great deal of difference in the various levels of ANC (adjustable via the app), but the equalizer function gives you complete control over the sound dynamic. I really love the ability to change and adapt bass/mid-range/treble ranges depending on what I’m listening to! The bass could perhaps be stronger, but this is a minor issue for me.
Thinking about the ANC specifically, there is definitely a limit to what can be achieved by earbuds, and on a noisy tube train there is still a great deal of outside sound that gets in, making it necessary at times to raise the volume to levels higher than I would want.
The handsfree controls are brilliant, and can be customised via the app. Answering calls, adjusting volume, stopping and starting tracks, etc, are all very easy to master. The only slight problem with the volume control is that I often get too much adjustment (ie, it jumps two levels immediately). This might just be a matter of getting used to them, which I’m sure I will!
Finally, battery life is really impressive and you can easily check the levels via the app for both the buds and the case itself. Considering the huge range of features, sound quality, and the user-friendly app, I’m delighted with my purchase! Highly recommended at this price point! So go on…treat yourself!
The sound quality is outstanding, with very balanced and detailed sound, nice deep bass, and very good mid-range. What I also love about Jabra Elite 7 Pro earbuds, is that you can easily adjust and personalise your sound experience in the app. Call quality is also very good, and there is also an option to use Alexa, which is great.
I use Jabra earbuds mainly for running and cycling, but I have also started to use them for small “on go” audio-editing when I am on the train. The Active Noise Cancelation is just amazing and works very well. You can choose between three different sound modes, that can be selected in the Sound + app or by pressing the right earbud — Active Noise Cancellation, Hear Through, and Off mode. I have only been using ANC and HearThrough and found it absolutely brilliant. As I run a lot early in the morning, when visibility is limited, I have found the option to switch between ANC and HearThrough extremely useful when crossing the road in the dark. Overall, these earbuds met all my requirements, especially in regards to sound quality, battery life, and its customisability.
Sound quality is excellent, particularly when using the noise cancelling function which REALLY works!
There’s lot to like about the Jabra Elite 85t earbuds – excellent battery life, a good fit (but they never feel 100% secure), charge quickly, impressive Active Noise Cancellation and Hear Through functionality, intuitive app, rock solid Bluetooth connection, excellent changeable touch controls & Google Assistant integration, small & solid case and a decent microphone.
Sound wise, they’re very impressive and a major step up from the underwhelming Jabra 75t. I have all my music ripped to FLAC files and I also subscribe to Amazon Music HD and the quality of sound from these earbuds is rich and full with everything sounding just as it should. Make sure you use the app to adjust the EQ settings – it does make all the difference.
They arrive with three different sized tips ensuring you get the right fit and a USB cable. Overall, recommended.
The app is easy and so was setup
Very recommended thus fa
I have owned samsung buds and live buds and own a pair of bose 700c and these come up there close to the bose.
They are light weight and feel very comfortable in the ear. I have worn these all day at work and never had any discomfort.
The rubber tip provides great noise cancellation on its own but combined with thr ANC feature means nearly all sounds are blocked out and you are submerged into your own little bubble.
The active pass through it another great feature meaning you can listen and be very aware of your surroundings perfect for running, cycling or the work place.
They sound great, could maybe do with some more base but this is personal choice. You have few preset eq settings but can fully cuetomise the eq for your tastes.
The battery life is superb, I have got 6 plus hours with anc or active pass through from these on a single charge and the case carries a few charges which is very convenient.
Only issue I have run into is with some connectivity breaks, this was fixed greatly with a firmware update but still happens every now and again so fingers crossed another update will sort this completely.
Overall great buds for their price and would highly recommend!

The app that is recommended for use with the buds probably has a few too many options and is a little OTT. It allows configuration, equaliser control, a find your ear buds function, tests your audible range to “customise” the output to your hearing and also comes with white noise functionality. It’s pretty slick but considering I just want to listen to stuff and take calls, it’s a little much.
The fit is reasonable and comes with small, medium and large ear gels.. I’ve not tried it on a run, but fully expect it to be OK for that. Circuit training, jumping around, not so much.
Packaging was nice, but again, a bit over the top. The buds and charging case are probably about 5x3x1.5cm, and comes with a USB charging cable. The box it came in was the size of a thick novel. Totally unnecessary weight and excess materials.
Five stars minus one for the OTT app and packaging. Otherwise superb.
May update this review once I’ve used it for a while and seen what the battery life is like.

I found them to be very effective at blocking out noise even before Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) was activated. The difference with ANC activated was minimal to be honest, although I would assume this to be more effective in louder environments. Sound quality was great for both music and calls.
I found the hear-through feature useful, if I wanted to wear the headphones but still listen out for the doorbell for example. It uses the microphones to then playback the noise of the local environment back through the headphones.
Volume control and other controls on the headphones are done by pressing a button on the side of each bud. The buttons are slightly on the stiff side so you have to apply more pressure than is ideal. Partcularly when turning up the volume, you end up pushing the bud further and further into the ear. But not a huge issue.
Bluetooth range is good, I could leave my phone lying down on a table and walk around my entire house with no drop-out.
Battery life, also very good.
Even with the slightly higher price I would definitley recommend these headphones.
The sound is crisp and clear and has enough bass for me, you can play with the equaliser settings on the brilliant companion app, there are presets or you can sort your own out.
The app is great, makes pairing them up and getting the setting right really easy, does a little hearing test to ensure the buds are set right for your ears and it really seems to have worked. They also have a hear through feature so you can listen to people around you while still on your music, this works really well and because you can hear yourself answering, you don’t shout like you do with headphone on normally, very useful.
They charge in the case and again the app is handy here as you can check the percentage of both the case and buds. They turn on as soon as you remove from the case and pairing is simple, just follow instructions in the app. The longest I have used them in one sitting so far was about 2 and a half hours, in this time they used 10% battery, that’s pretty good to be fair and the case had them back up to full charge in about 20 minutes, really good.
Basically, if you get these you won’t regret it, really good clear sound, a nice comfy secure fit and the best companion app I have used, highly recommended.
I use them on a bus commute and also walking through a city centre, they block out a lot of noise. On a bus, even sitting at the back over the engine, with people talking etc the noise reduction makes it go away to such a low level that you can have music on low and still not hear much external noise.
You will still hear some noise, I can still hear a low bass rumble of the bus engine for example when on buses but only slightly.
If you want to hear for yourself just how well they do that in comparison to other brands equivalents you can buy on Amazon like Bose or Sony etc there is a YouTube channel that has a video showing the noise cancelling ability of these in various situations, a YouTube search for “DHRME anc sound samples” will find you that video, probably much better than just reading descriptions.
Sound wise they sound great, you can change the way they sound with the Jabra app that let’s you set up a graphic equaliser to make them sound how you want them to, or choose from some presets.
How they fit is something lots of reviews comment on. I haven’t had them fall out even when I had my head upside down while doing a repair on something but I don’t think I would trust them not to fall out while running or cycling. Some have done that and say they are fine but while I have never had them fall out even when I tried to make them fall out, they do still feel like they could fall out easily.
That perhaps sounds like a contradiction, but I can say they do stay in while walking, being on a bumpy bus ride or vigorously dancing about.
They feel well made and definitely feel like a premium set of earbuds, the charging case is surprisingly small but easy to fit in a pocket even with a phone in the same pocket so are easy to carry around.
The controls on the earbuds can be customised to what you prefer them to do such as swapping between noise cancelling on or off, playing a different track, etc and the case will charge by USB c lead or by wireless qi charging so that’s also a plus.
I’ve used these for about three hours non stop in one go with noise cancelling on and they didn’t get close to being at low battery level so battery life is good and they have a nice physical button on each bud not a touch sensitive sensor so you don’t accidentally set them doing something while putting them in your ears.
They also automatically pause music or videos when a bud is removed from an ear, although you can turn this feature off using the Jabra app.
Speaking of the app, its very useful so if you get these earbuds consider using the app too. Its free and allows a lot of customisation to the earbuds as well as allowing firmware updates, product registration (you get a two year warranty against water and dust if you register for it using the app) and of course the graphic equaliser.
It also tells you the level of charge in the case and in each earbud, so is a good thing to use. And if you want the noise cancelling but don’t want to watch a video or listen to music the app has soundscapes like a thunderstorm or white noise and a few others to listen to instead.
Sometimes the app doesn’t find the earbuds as soon as you put them in (the earbuds still work fine without it and your programmed button options and equaliser and noise cancelling still work) but if you want the app to find them quicker (for the soundscapes or to check battery levels for example) just turn your phones Bluetooth on and then open the app before putting the earbuds in.
Overall a very good set of earbuds that are great for commuting or being in noisy environments.
Edit: I bought the Comply brand tips for these and they make them fit much better. If you have a problem with them feeling loose these tips should help.
I originally purchased the new Sony earbuds, but sent them back as the sound leaked out at quite a low volume, could have had the wrong size buds in, but at 249 I wasn’t taking the chance.
I took the chance and ordered the Jabra 85T, and I have to mention that they were very comfortable out of the box, they felt very snug, but more importantly, at high volume (so loud I had to turn it down) my wife didn’t hear a thing, this isn’t part of any review that I have seen so thought I would let people know.
So far would recomend over the Sony and can connect to 2 devices

the left ear within 2 months.
Amazon being great for customer service sent Me a replacement pair.
Unfortunatly these seemed to have a similar issue so returned for a refund and purchased 85t instead.
The sound is amazing
The connection more stable
The fit is good but different with the oval tips, very secure thou. They stay put during my workout.
Fingers crossed these dont suffer any of the flaws of the 75

I have had 65ts and 75ts and had wanted to get these when they first came out but wouldn’t dream of paying over 200 for them.
With the maximum ANC selected, you really can feel very isolated and detached from your surroundings. While walking you cannot hear your feet and vehicle and other noises are very well suppressed. Surrounding speech is barely audible. Wind noise is likewise very suppressed, only being heard when it is unrealistically strong. High pitched noises like birdsong just break through. This is all so much better than the Bose managed.
One press of the left ear can enable HearThrough mode which makes conversation vey easy. This doesn’t interrupt music playing though.
The Jabra Sound+ App is excellent giving 5 levels of control over both the ANC and HearThrough modes, allowing you to select just how much ambient sound you want to hear. Sound+ also allows you to control how the left and right switches operate. You can define moments for different listening situations and store configurations for each of those. The degree of programmability is excellent.
I was concerned about how well these would be retained in ear but I needn’t have been. You have to select the correct sized tip but I do like the oval shapes – they feel much more natural. Once selected the correct ones just feel very positive. I have never had one fall out except once while taking a fleece off over my head while wearing the Jabra’s – stupid really. I don’t use them for jogging though.
The 85t’s give well over five hours of real life ANC listening and the charging case allows up to four charges before needing to be recharged, which can either be with USB-C or using wireless charging. Again excellent. They will turn themselves off when not in use which saves battery further.
I was also concerned how the bluetooth 5.1 would work on calls but again this seems to work really well. I haven’t had complaints about call quality.
Overall the Jabra 85t’s are a most impressive pair of true wireless buds and I would highly recommend them.
