Bought as a gift for our granddaughter, seems a well designed and solid case the only downside was it was delivered in a clear plastic bag so everyone can see what it was 🙁
A lot of reviews say that this doesn’t fit the docking station when the case is on. It’s kind of true but also not true. The case is definitely the tiniest bit too thick to “comfortably” use with the docking station, however it will go in if you just push it.
Don’t ram it in, just gently and carefully push it all the way into the dock, making sure you’ve lined it up properly so you don’t risk breaking anything inside. (Picture included to show green light on docking station with the case still on the switch)
Saying this, it won’t fit the adaptor for the controllers. I tried with a tiny bit of extra force because of managing to get it into the docking station but I definitely couldn’t get them in without risking damage. So if you wanted to use the controller adapter you would have to remove the covers from each one to do so.
It’s not a hard case but also not a soft case. I don’t really like hard cases for things as I don’t find them to provide much shock absorption and whilst this is harder than normal for this type of material, I actually really like it. Its definitely more along the lines of a “stiff” soft case than a hard one which hopefully makes sense!
Unfortunately, the carry case for me is rather annoying. When zipped up and being carried using the handle, the internal mesh pocket is actually facing the floor meaning that most of the time, whatever is put in there just falls out and is loose inside the carry case. Since I personalised mine and I love how it came out, I don’t want to buy a new case so instead I’m just going to glue a strip of velcro to the inside to fix the problem.

I bought each of the kids one of these cases for their switches, mostly so that we can tell them apart but also so that they have a bit of protection when they take them out and about which they are doing increasingly these days. The case itself is sturdy and protective and has lots of slots etc for games cartridges which they thing is fab. The controller and device cases fit well and definitely work well to help us see who’s is who’s. The only problem we’ve found is that the switch can’t be placed in the dock with the case on, which frankly seems more of a Nintendo problem than the case company as I don’t think you could get much thinner, but it is what it is unfortunately and because the case fits so well it’s going to be a nuisance to keep having to take it on and off.
It is exactly as the picture shows. The case is hard and durable. The joy grips don’t fall off easily. The skin is perfect fit. People complain that it doesn’t fit in the console, but I use my switch on the go so that doesn’t bother me one bit.
Lovely sturdy case, only thing is that the game holder is quite snug to the bit where the switch goes and quite stiff to move, might ease with time?
The case is great. However, the silicon covers are a little bit too thick. My controllers don’t fit into the controller holder and my switch doesn’t fit in the docking stations. These wpd be great for when I take my switch out somewhere but they are so difficult to get on and off that I feel it’s not worth the hassle.
This was a gift for my younger brother and he loved it. However, when in the plastic case it does not fit into its docking station meaning he had to remove the case. Other than this am very happy with it.
