Easy to install though make sure you turn them on. A trusted manufacturer. Seems ok quality wise.
This smoke alarm is ideal for a family home. I bought two. Easy to fit and a 10-year battery life means no waiting for the battery to run out, and peace of mind.

It works a goes off when its smokey. I had one before for about a year but it stated going off randomly, but as I didn’t have to continually folk out for a load expensive 16vt batteries, I prefer the length of time and saving it makes

This arrived quickly and I immediately took down my faulty Fire Angel alarm. I put this one up quickly and easily and only had to drill one hole (they didn’t line up with the existing holes). I set it up in a matter of minutes. I pressed the test button and got a fairly weak response so, whilst it’s up and is hopefully ok, I am just a little unsure if I did everything right. I wud have preferred a better response from the test button.
Needed smoke alarm for hallway. This was perfect. Good value and easy to install.
Purchased these as replacements for our 10+ year old, Kidde smoke detectors. Unfortunately I assumed they’d be the same size as their predecessors and didn’t check the size before ordering. They were much smaller and couldn’t be positioned to cover the previous fittings so were returned. I think they would have been fine had I not needed to cover up the whole area where the old detectors had been.
Our previous Kidde alarms finally bit the dust having worked impeccably so decided to replace like with like. Unfortunately they no longer make the ones we had, but these were the nearest thing.
Slightly smaller than expected (about the size of a saucer), comes with instructions, all fittings – a ring to affix to the ceiling, screws, plugs – and the unit itself. Installs within a minute or so. First test sound seemed quite quiet but when set to the second setting…well, I can’t imagine anyone would sleep through that!
Came as part of a deal involving two units at a very reasonable price, Primed here the next day. It says 10 year battery life – I can’t attest to that but the previous Kidde alarms did about 7 so it seems plausible at least.
Quick delivery. Not over excessively packaged either. Very easy to install and test.

Was fitted by a relative to replace one that had been in use for many years. A pan was left on the cooker recently and boiled dry before the alarm went off and was audible from some distance.
These are smaller than the ones they have replaced. Needed to drill new holes in the ceiling. Other than that they were quick to install. Hopefully another ten years of peace of mind.

Arrived the same day excellent quality. Fitted it to my wooden trap door so easy to fit just two screws .Dont forget you have to twist it onto the base it the tweets to let you know its active ,then you can test it . Plus it flashes red occasionally to let you know its active so all in all an excellent product. Only time will tell with the battery life
This was easy to install. It’s the first time I’ve used this make of smoke alarm. ButI have tired of replacing other units with so called 10 year battery life so decided to give this one a try. Who knows.
My concern is always to remember to test alarms , so now I have set a monthly reminder on phone and also Alexa.

It’s impossible to comment on the battery life but so far this seems to be functioning OK, but it has not been triggered yet so I can’t be 100% sure. The test button does work.
Bought this sealed alarm to avoid having to change batteries to replace similar model, hoping that the base plate to attach the alarm to would be the same size, unfortunately not. Previous model lasted almost ten years so hopefully this will be the same.
This smoke detector is fairly easy to install and is priced reasonably. The test feature is easy to use and helpful for piece of mind. Only downside I can say is the screw mechanism can be quite tricky to get to work, especially if you working above your head.

I purchased from Kidde in the hope the fittings were the same as the one fitted by the fire service 10 years ago. However, this recent one is much smaller so, therefore, I cannot use the same screw holes as my previous one.
Very easy to install and about a week after installation it worked well when a cooking mishap set it off!
These smoke alarms are very necessary. I have had these in the past. I have tall ceilings and an old property, so the alarm has to be surface fixed. The fixings are easy to install. You can check the battery life weekly by the simple test button. Definitely recommend.
OK, no problem, I’ll use Amazon’s excellent returns process. Oh dear, the item isn’t eligible for return due to it containing hazardous materials. And I can’t request a refund unless I have already requested a return, which I am not allowed to do.
Something not right here, Amazon. Let’s hope the marketplace seller is able to help.
EDIT: Follow-up to the story is that the seller advised cleaning the unit with an air blower or vacuum cleaner. This did the trick, and it’s not gone off again, at least for the subsequent few months.

These are excellent smoke alarms. We use them a lot for the landlord’s we work for. We never have any call backs with this brand.
Every week we read about house fires and people dying, often because of smoke inhalation. These units last for 10 years which saves having to change batteries and a low cost enough to have in each room.

Easy to install. I cannot vouch for lifespan as only just received. I have bought other brands promising 10 year life and they have failed within 1-2 years.

Well, i is functional and loud. Whether the battery lif is good is impossible to say! Only bought it a couple of moths ago! But, it blends in well and is unobrusive.
This was a replacement like for like. Last one only lasted 2 years before developing a fault – supposed to have 10 year life. Will see how this one does. By the way took like for like to saving reinstalling fitting in ceiling !!
I bought the kidde manufacturing fire alarms because they got a great rating. I found that these fire alarms were very easy to fit. And they are well made, I would recommend this product to everyone.
This alarm has a 10 year battery pre-fitted. Good anyway of course, but especially so in a building with high ceilings, or in a building where there is a tenant.
