My burned sausages tested it out and it performed as intended. The alarm off button worked to quieten it. Very easy to fit, small and discreet. Have bought a second one
Safety first here as our old smoke alarms needed replacing after over 20 years. Went for these as the batteries are for life and there shouldn’t be any middle of the night beeping to change the batteries. Look good and easy to fit so hopefully good for more than another 20 years.
Needed a replacement smoke alarm for the caravan. This is small and has a sealed battery so no need to worry about needing batteries and it has a ‘hush’ feature which is handy when cooking.
Replaced an existing Kidde smoke alarm that had entered it’s “death bleep” stage of life. This one is a lot more compact that its predecessor. In fact, the new ceiling mount fits within the old one that was fitted by the Warwickshire Fire Brigade in 2004. Amazingly a second unit that they fitted is still operating without complaint! And yes, I do test it frequently…
I bought a pair of these to monitor temps and humidity in my attic and shed. After inserting the supplied battery the units take a few minutes to settle then display accurate readings.
I checked the accuracy by comparing them to my Bosch central heating unit. Temps identical to within 0.5C. Humidity read 5% lower.
The temp takes a few minutes to adjust to changes in temperature so they give an accurate reading without being changed by air at a different temps being introduced when you enter the shed/attic etc.
So good I’m buying a third to monitor humidity in our upstairs hall when airing the house each day.
It will alarm you if there is smoke, i guess
Don’t know about the battery life yet only just bought them, silly question, but everything else about them is good.
