For reasons of design, it was a challenge to cover the wide capacity range of 0.08 to 10.0 mm2 using just one pair of crimping pliers. The result is technically sophisticated and easy to use. Knipex has received a patent for these crimping pliers. End sleeves (ferrules) up to 2.5 mm2 can be fed from the side; all others up to 10.0 mm2 are fed from the front.
Crimping of end sleeves (ferrules): self-adjusting and of course accurate
Accurate work is called for when crimping end sleeves (ferrules). Adjustment to the desired size of the end sleeves is automatic with the Knipex 97 53 08 crimping pliers. The end of the conductor with the end sleeve can be fitted in the profile sideways and parallel up to 2.5 mm2, and from the front of the pliers up to 10.0 mm2. The user does not need to measure manual force when crimping because the integral lock with release mechanism ensures that the right amount of pressure automatically reaches the end sleeve. The pliers have been optimally set (calibrated) in the factory. They can also be adjusted by the user.
Hand-friendly work, also with large conductor cross-sections up to 10 mm2
The transmission ratio of these crimping pliers has been well-designed and is therefore hand-friendly. A toggle lever effectively supports manual force. This enables conductors with large cross-sections to be assembled well even in the case of extensive installations – also with twin end sleeves (ferrules) up to 2 x 4 mm2 or 2 x AWG 10. The conductors are reliably connected to the end sleeves using a square profile – in all designated sizes.

Knipex un marchio di utensili che ho imparato ad apprezzare per uso diretto. L’unico limite il prezzo di livello professionale. Questa volta mi sono permesso una crimpatrice frontale per capicorda che va molto bene negli spazi angusti. Provata con varie misure di fili elettrici non sbaglia un colpo. Mi lascia perplesso solo l’esito sui terminali veramente piccoli (da 0,75mm in gi) su cui le ganasce lasciano un’impronta fin troppo profonda tanto da deformarli esageratamente. Fattore, infine, determinante stato il costo decisamente inferiore a quello di listino perch ho potuto usufruire di uno strepitoso “usato come nuovo” a 56,36 invece degli attuali 144,77.
CONCLUSIONI: Un ottimo strumento ad un prezzo ragionevole anche per un hobbista
Leichtes und schnelles Arbeiten, egal bei welcher Gre ohne etwas einstellen zu mssen. Trotz des hohes Preises nicht bereut.
There are the easiest to use being front loading with a perfect crimp each time, blimey they are expensive though
These are amongst the most expensive tools I’ve ever purchased however I was so glad I bit the bullet and bought them, I’d looked at them for some time but I had a single project with over 1000 ferrules in it so decided to treat myself.
The quality of crimp you get with these is impeccable.
The amount of force required is noticeably lower than any other set of crimpers I’ve had.
Yeah these things are expensive but they’ll probably outlive me (they have a lifetime warranty if they don’t). If you do a lot of ferrules they are completely worth the money. Probably not for the DIYer though.
Sehr gute Zange in gewohnter Knipex Qualitt. Alle gngigen Querschnitte bis 10 Quadrat werden untersttzt. Fr die meisten ausreichend.

Exceptional quality as is typical with knipex. Sadly as is also typical with knipex, massively overpriced.
Liegt gut in der Hand, da weis man auch das es kein “Billig-Zeug” ist und bei etwas dickeren Litzen muss man auch nicht befrchten das das Ding gleich ausseinanderbricht. Crimpt alles bis 10qmm, Knipex halt.
Von 0,5 qmm bis 6 qmm schon alles gekrimmt.
Mehrere Kabel in eine passende Hlse und zugedrckt.
Ergebnis: >Quatratisch, praktisch, gut.
Hlt jede einzelne Verbindung.
Kann ich Bastlern und Profis nur empfehlen.
