Having spent (and wasted) over 75 on two previous pairs of boots, I decided to spent more on a better quality (hopefully) pair … so far, these Lakeland boots have proved to be warm and dry whilst dog-walking for an hour or two each day. Only time will tell – the average ‘life- expectancy’ of wellies I have purchased in the past was 5 months so watch this space!
I’m an active conservation volunteer and I’ve tried several brands of top of the range price wellies over the last 8 years and invariably I’ve been disappointed by them. These however are the real deal for outdoor activities in the autumn and winter. Check out the sole, they really grip in slippery conditions. They are also built to last, unlike more expensive fashionable brands that are not designed to cope with day in day out use in working woodlands etc. These were on my wish list and popped up in the Black Friday sale and I grabbed them, so glad that I did.
I’ve had these a little over a year (late Feb 2022) so unfortunately just out of warranty. Worn them approximately 6-7 times (8-9 hrs of standing around and not walking far) just to take my child to her weekend football, so nothing intensive. The sole has begun to come away from boot body around the ball of the foot area which is disappointing.
They’re very comfortable and warm, but for the price I’d advise you to pay a bit more and get a higher quality Wellington boot. If you’re not a regular wearer then maybe a cheap pair would be better, as my last cheap pair lasted 15+ years, but wanted something more comfortable, which these definitely are. I wouldn’t advise these for the price point they’re at though.
I’ve had these for three months through the winter and so far I’m delighted with them. I bought the right size for me allowing for an extra pair of socks; the fit is snug but very comfortable, and the neoprene helps to keep your feet warm. They were quite tough to get off the first few times I wore them, but they’ve eased up since. So far I’ve not encountered any difficult with build quality or leakage.
The full price seems a bit steep, but I got them on offer and don’t regret it.
I was a little hesitant about purchasing what I consider a more pricey wellie, but it’s been money well spent. Warm, comfy, waterproof and durable perfect for 10 mile winter fell walks
Bought for occasional use so I’m delighted with the quality for the price. Comfy and allows me to walk in the Scottish Borders where it the current weather is generally we
I need wellington boots that are comfortable as i walk the dog for 4 to 5 miles a day, in forest and mud. These fit as i expected, are very comfortable, lightweight. Time will tell for durability but after a week of use on muddy forest paths i am happy with the purchase.
Great fit, easy to take off and they don’t leakafter numerous wears and many miles of muddy dog walks. Thoroughly recommend (and I have spent far too much on other boots to say that cheaply!).
As a dog walker and someone that walks on his days off, I was hunting for boots for a while. Going for high brands, like hunters etc and looking at low level products.. but fed up of high prices and boot that last a few weeks before leaking. Window shopping reviews at all sorts of boots. Whilst having the lakelands in my basket.
The warmth I can not fault. I’ve stood in freezing ponds these last couple of months to get action shots of dogs running into the lakes, Meadows etc. This feet and tootsies stayed warmed than a roast ham! I was a little bit shocked as I only paid 60 for them during a flash sale. But at 120 I would of been happy paying knowing what I know now.
Comfort – is beautiful, cushioned and don’t seem to rub. Even tho there’s a fair amount of space for the boot.. this does help with removing and also has a little tag at the back to hook your feet on when removing. Don’t geg me wrong and extra pair of socks has made them perfect, but boot protectors and rubber insoles I would buy just so you keep these boots so much longer. Can’t believe I’m enjoying the boots so much. Little tightening tag is perfect, easy to fix after it came loose during a collision with a dog.
Few months of wet, frozen, flooded, muddy, woodland, farmland, chalkand adventure walks and they’re still waterproof, still comfy and still pleasing me
These boots have (for a Wellington Boot) superb shock absorption and such a comfortable fit. I road tested them on a rugged three and a half hour walk through woodlands, a muddy path and several deep puddles. They felt as comfortable to walk in as many training shoes. Completely dry and warm. They look good and feel good. Highly recommended.
Bought these as I’d read these type of wellies were good for cold weather. They gave certainly helped keep my feet warm and are warmer than traditional wellies. Fit is reasonably good but the strap on the side could be better. Only had a couple of weeks so can’t comment on their long term durability yet.
I have been wearing these for 2 weeks now and have found them excellent, and wish I had purchased them years ago. Very comfortable and completely waterproof, keeping your feet warm as well. I walk my spaniel around 3-5 miles a day across footpaths over farmland and ditches etc! and have found the to grip well in wet mud. very happy with them!
This is my first pair of wellies, I researched a lot before deciding on this pair and I haven’t been disappointed. Well worth the money, even more delighted to get them in the sale.
Single construction so no leaking seams, wide fit so will take my thick Dr Hunter socks, comfortable to walk around in and very warm – love these wellies for winter fishing
Very happy with these Wellington Boots. I find they fit snugly without being too tight, the strap around the top adds extra flexibility. They are also extremely comfortable. I’ve even chosen to wear them when they’re not really needed as they are so good. I bought them primarily for wearing when walking my dog. Very pleased and would absolutely recommend.
I bought the wrong size then found the whole process easy to return and select for the right size. Lovely flexible and very comfortable. Perfect for country walks and dog walking
The boots were well packaged and arrived on time. The boots fitted well and were comfortable.
I am now looking forward to getting them dirty on a good walk. Thank you. Very pleased
I usually but Aigle wellies but thought these would do me for the summer months
The first week they were good but then the inner sole came loose and all rucked up making them very uncomfortable
So a added a set of gel insoles and now they aren’t bad to wear
I wouldn’t buy another pair personally as they are top money for ok boots
Pay a little more and get a better brand is my advice
Got these for my Dad for Christmas. He’s worn them every day since to muck out our chickens. He laid a shed pad with them on. He has used them for a tiny bit of digging but he said “wellies aren’t my preferred foot ware for that job” (that told me). Really impressed with the thickness and durability of these, hopefully will last him until Christmas 2022 at least. Got him a UK mens 10 which he usually takes in shoes, he said they fit great.
Bought these for my husband who walks miles with the dogs. He loves them! Light, warm, comfortable and a perfect fit for foot and leg. Great value for money!
I bought these for my dad for working in the garden and allotment. Was aware his feet were always getting damp and wanted something to keep him warm and dry. He said it’s been the best present he’s ever had. He’s never got them off he said they’re like slippers with the comfort.
I’m so happy that he’s enjoying them and they are keeping him warm and dry. Well worth the money and they look brilliant on.
After buying Two high profile brands only to have both develop faults, this boot is exceptional value for money, extreme satisfied, would have liked them to be slightly taller on leg, but not an issue. Great quality & extremely comfortable, highly recommend.
Excellent boot, very warm comfy and fits well. Great sturdy large tread make walking in mud easy. Totally waterproof and they look very stylish. Very happy so far.
I was a bit apprehensive forking out close to 100 on a pair of wellington boots. But these boots are extremely comfortable and warm. The size is slightly bigger than my regular shoe size of 42. Therefore I wear a second pair of thinnish socks to tack up the slack. The added feature of the adjustable calf is great, although does come loose occasionally. I mainly use them dog walking across muddy fields and footpaths about 2 hours a day. The tread is also very good and grips very well in muddy circumstances.
Overall I am very satisfied with these boots.
Extremely comfortable boot, they keep my feet warm and dry on long walks with my dog.
I have only had them two weeks but they look very good quality and should last a long time.
Overall very happy with these. They are warm, comfortable, have a good grip, and are easy to put on thanks to their soft and flexible construction. Great for medium length walks through muddy fields and woodlands. Because they’re soft, and flex well at the ankle, they are more comfortable than the cheaper, plasticky type of wellies.
I wear these with thick, insulated socks and the fit is fine in my normal size (12) but they still feel roomy. If wearing over normal socks they would be slightly too big and I would need a size smaller.
The adjustment strap at the side, which is used to loosen off the boots for easier putting on and taking off, has a flimsy plastic clasp with a cheap hinge which can come apart when pulling the strap through. It can be fitted back together, but is annoying. A metal buckle with a bolt-type hinge would not have been too much to expect at this price, so I’ve knocked them down one star for this.
Only had them about a week but they are nice and warm and very comfortable. They are mainly used at the stables so doing a few miles a day in them, They also arrived a day or so early which was a nice surprise.
I’m normally a walking boots person but I got these after getting fed up with the muddy paths on my local dog walks. They are comfortable, warm and definately keep my feet dry on the muddy paths. I regularly walk 3 to 4 miles in these now without any discomfort. Easy to clean when I get home so they’re ready to go next time.
My Wellington boots gave up the ghost during floods just before Christmas. These Lakeland Wellingtons were obtained through Amazon Prime within 24 hrs of purchase during the Christmas holiday. Brilliant service and at on first use they are an excellent product and of similar standard to my old Hunter wellies. One minor design issue – there are no back loops for puling them on. But this is not insurmountable problem – just nice to have.
Great boots with a premium feel to go with the premium price tag. However, these came up small on me and I acknowledge that wellies are large but I’m a 9 and ended up with a 7! They are snug, but then again this is a personal preference. These are though the comfiest boots I have worn, can’t fault them as yet and far superior to any generic rubber wellie
I’ve been looking for wellie’s for a few weeks now ..
the problem I have is that my calf’s are quite big so means wellies don’t fit
The last wellies I had they fitted but split ( cracked ) at the front and sids in the mouths of use ..
But THESE wellies fit nicely and really don’t think they will split and if they do I’ll let you know ..
THESE WELLIES
Feel comfortable
strong but flexible
Warm
Look fab
Have a good grip
Good for the money
So happy customer but only got then 2 days ago so I do hope I carry on been a happy custome
Bought for fishing in winter . Nice fit, very warm and lightweight, perfect for walking and a great price when compared to the established makes charging twice the price. Save your money and buy these if your in the market for a pair of warm winter welled
Bought to replace aged Muck boots. Very comfortable and used daily dog walking and digging. Only fault is with the kick rim designed to kick off the boot….it is either placed too high or there is a need for some reinforcement at the heel, as the rubber below the kick rim tends to collapse before enabling removal of boot. Very happy otherwise and excellent delivery time.
I bought these because I was fed up with getting mud on my trousers when walking the dog. They certainly keep me cleaner than the ordinary walking boots I have previously tried for dog walks.
Boots fit exactly to size when used with a thick pair of socks. Arrived very speedily and have already been tried out. Very comfortable for a reasonable length of walk. Perfect for current wet and muddy conditions. In Tier 4 so outdoor exercise is only option open to us at the moment. These boots will be invaluable.
OK – ordered these after a fair bit of online review reading (of other boots) and then fondling some fantastically pricey wellies I couldn’t bring myself to buy (Hunter, Aigle and Le Chameau). So initial review following delivery and a wander round the garden…… Fit – as expected, ordered my normal shoe size and boots slip on and off easily enough. Will need a thick sock for long walks as the foot area is quite roomy. As with the boutique brands These are a full rubber outer with a neoprene lining which appears well finished and cosy. They also have an adjustable gusset and snug down perfectly on my calfs which I like a lot (size 8 and calf circumference 38cm closed). Finish looks good, soft flexible rubber and a decent sole which appears well attached. Not flash like an Aigle but feels well made and solid. Purchased for dog walks so will get up to 8 miles per day usage for the next few months over tarmac, gravel, mud, fields and streams. If they split or leak I’ll be back to update the review but for now they appear to offer exactly what I was looking for at a price point that didn’t make my credit card sweat.

Bought as replacement for Dunlop. Absolute comfort compared to previous boots.
So far, so good
Great fit, easy to take off and they don’t leakafter numerous wears and many miles of muddy dog walks. Thoroughly recommend (and I have spent far too much on other boots to say that cheaply!).

Easy fit practical style a great product competing with all the so called Foreign brands at half the price a great boot for field sports use.

Fit is reasonably good but the strap on the side could be better. Only had a couple of weeks so can’t comment on their long term durability yet.
Very comfortable
True to size .
Did buy a size bigger due to being a insulin diabetic, so the risk of rubbing issues.
Just time will tell now ..longevity of boot without issues.
Overall would recommend.

Like how your feet feel nice and warm. They are slightly larger than I thought but not a problem. Very comfortable Wellington boot.
The fit is a little large but ok with two pair of socks. Keeps feet warm in snow and good grip for walking in rugged terrain.
Single construction so no leaking seams, wide fit so will take my thick Dr Hunter socks, comfortable to walk around in and very warm – love these wellies for winter fishing

I’ve even chosen to wear them when they’re not really needed as they are so good. I bought them primarily for wearing when walking my dog. Very pleased and would absolutely recommend.
These are really good hard wearing wellies, fit is true to size. Really good quality rubber and very durable.
Old wellies leaked and uncomfortable, these are extremely well made and easy to get on and off , warm due to excellent lining
I bought the wrong size then found the whole process easy to return and select for the right size. Lovely flexible and very comfortable. Perfect for country walks and dog walking
Husband loves these new wellies. Fits well and most of all they keep his feet warm and the grip is great.
So far the boots are comfortable but you do need an extra pair of socks to achieve a proper fit.
The boots were well packaged and arrived on time. The boots fitted well and were comfortable.
I am now looking forward to getting them dirty on a good walk. Thank you. Very pleased

Really nice pair of wellies. Not used much so haven’t seen too much damage ye
Husband is really pleased with these. They are more flexible than rubber wellies but feel heavy duty and robust.

Good value and comfortable enough for long walks.
Much better than the more expensive brands I have bought previously
Good quality wellingtons. Ideal for work on building site. Partner impressed
Extremely comfortable boot, they keep my feet warm and dry on long walks with my dog.
I have only had them two weeks but they look very good quality and should last a long time.
Could do with having more padding for warmth
But enough room for a thicker sock
( Which can be washed )
Fit is great and quality is good for the price would and will buy agai
There was an issue that was resolved speedily & effectively. No complaints. Comfy pair of boots.
Comfortable, perfect fit with boot socks, warm, feel and look good. Easy to walk wearing them.
i thought these were going to be a dunlop special, they are good or in fact better than hunters
Hubby says early days yet, but so far so good, with the present weather conditions. Watch this space.

Good wellies they passed a scottish walk and i didn’t get any soggy socks, overall worth buying
