I’m happy with mine. Not set it up yet but I did my boyfriend’s so know it’s easy enough. It’s not value for money in my opinion. 55 to store 2-3 crypto is a big fat rip off if you ask me but my boyfriend wanted me to have at least a couple safe so he bought it as a gift. It’s sturdy etc but I can’t get over the price.

This hardware wallet allows me to stay as secure as possible. It is solid, attractive and very easy to use. I may not be a big investor compared to most, but security is very important to me.
If you’re looking at this you probably already know, but for those that do not and for their own [crytpo-currency] safety I will reiterate this – only buy this product from Ledger directly or supplied by Amazon from Ledger (not other third party suppliers).
The product does do a self-check whilst you install it, but you can never be too careful.
As for the product – it’s not meant to be easy and inputting 24 words using 3 buttons is fun (if by fun, I mean tiresome) but if that keeps my crypto secure, so be it!
Does the job it is supposed to. Great cold wallet storage. Inexpensive.
This is NOT for a newbie to crypto, some experience will be required but the app does guide you through the process.
Guard your 24 seed words with your life. If you give anyone else these, it’s like giving your all of your safe keys, bank details, car keys, house keys, wallet, pet and partner to them (if your crypto is worth anything). Literally.

Una vez instalado, tambin el programa se asegura si es “genuino” y as es. As que parece que problema solucionado. Por si las moscas, revisadlo, pero me lleg bien. Tras ver muchos tutoriales para asegurarme como funcionaba y como mandar mi dinero de Binance a mi Ledger Nano S, consegu hacerlo sin problemas y ahora lo tengo todo a buen recaudo.
Incluso yo que soy algo miope, se ven las letras, aunque son pequeas, pero no son imposibles, se pueden leer bien y apuntar para tener todas las claves en caso de necesidad para recuperar el acceso al dinero.
Me decid por este en vez de otros modelos por ser ms pequeo, de color, ms manejable y fcil.
Apenas caben 3-4 APP, o sea, como para 3-4 monedas, pero he metido las ms importantes y las ms pequeas las he dejado en el exchange para usarlas con la tarjeta visa o cambiarlas en un momento dado. Pero el dinero que quiero proteger s lo he metido en el Ledger Nano S.

You can store as many different crpytocraps as it supports on this, all at the same time so ignore reviews saying you can only store three or four. You can only have the app for three or four on at any one time but you can delete say the litecoin app and load the bitcoin cash app but it will still keep your litecoin safe – deleting the app doesn’t delete your funds, you just reinstall the litecoin app and you can spend it (if you can find anywhere that accepts it!). Do not store your funds on any exchanges, use this instead, exchanges get hacked!
Bought this for my foray into cryptocurrency gambling (sorry, investment!). Only worry when my bitcoin is worth millions will be where to keep it.

The ledger is just a small as a standard USB stick and comes with a necktie and a keyring attachment, the screen is clear and is easy to navigate even with only having 2 buttons. The software from ledger website was simple to use and the ledger itself was easy to set up. It is also very secure with upto a 8 digit pin and a 24 word encryption. Please note this ledger has no battery and must be connected via USB with the software to properly use it. The Ledger and Trezor are Great devices, your private keys are held offline and never exposed,
theoretically, you can carry out transactions, on a compromised computer and on public wifi,
which is notoriously unsafe, and your private keys would be safe.
I had a problem with my device though, I wore it permanently round my neck, and I think
sweat must have gotten in to it as it’s stopped working.
Still think these are Great devices though, have ordered another.
The MOST important thing though, is not the device itself,
The most important thing you must look after are the Seedphrase and any passwords you set up
for these devices.
Its great that I can have the confidence that nobody is stealing away my crypto-cash, but it’s not the easiest product to use.
I’m quite a techy person, so didn’t have too much trouble with it – but I couldn’t see less technically minded relatives coping with this one.

The Ledger Nano is a small portable cryptocurrency hardware wallet that uses 2FA security to protect your funds.
All transactions are handled on your computer with the Nano acting as a way to verify everything. If you are sending a lot of coins to people every day, you may be frustrated with the extra steps necessary when using a hardware wallet, though that is the price you pay in order to make your funds more secure.
If you have more than a few hundred pounds invested in cryptocurrency, I highly recommend purchasing a hardware wallet. There’s a few options available today, but the Ledger ticks a lot of boxes and is regularly updated.

Great product. Great security. Once you treat it like a ledger and not a USB stick its a great tool. Now with updated memory so you can store more coins via the interface. Easy to keep on a key ring or store in a secure place. Get your head around the software on the ledger and when to remove software for crypto your not using and you will successfully be able to use the ledger. Great buy
I have found inconsistency in packaging, for example, two of my recovery sheets have the Nano symbol printed on them and the others do not!
In the current “world” of scams and fake products, how do I know that the units I have bought are legit!

In light of current crypto’s being hacked it nice to know mine is secure.
I bought 1 of these direct from Ledger in France in early January 2018. The cost including the DHL recorded delivery came to the same as Amazon charge. The wallet works well, just read all the information on their website first. The Chrome Bitcoin app (software wallet) that works with it was a bit stubborn at first, but the Ether 1 is just great. It was easy to put another currency app on the Ledger. The company has just increased their server capacity which has solved the problems they had before Christmas. I’m pleased I forked out for 1 of these. Very secure.

Very important that the wallet hasn’t been already setup for your… if it is avoid it like the plague!
Top tip: buy two as IF you lose one you’ll need a second to restore to…

PS: Make sure you keep the set of recovery phase in a safe place away from the device else if it goes with the device then it’s game over. You can afford to loose the device but not the recovery phrase.
If you’ve invested a bit into crypto currencies you should really consider a hardware wallet to keep all the money safe. After all the worst place to keep it is the exchange(s) which can go down over night without notice and you’ll never get your money back. The ledger nano s solves this problem. It’s very simple to use and the user interface is very intuitive. You can easily send and receive multiple crypto currencies from/to the ledger. It all works via chrome apps that you can install on your PC. I’ve not had any issues using the ledger on windows 10. My only complaint would be that you can have max 4-5 apps installed on the ledger so if you have more currencies and trade often, the only way to store everything on the ledger (depending on the coins you have) is to remove and install the apps as you go in order to stick to the limit. For the price I don’t think there should be a limit, even if there has to be one, it should definitely be more than 4/5 apps.
Overall, great hardware wallet, definitely recommended to keep your coins safe.
Perfect, been storing my LTC on it and have yet to find a fault. it is easy to setup, use and extremely secure, 100% would recommend this.
Before setting up, I went to the Ledgerwallet website and watched the videos which seemed simple enough.
Setting up was simple although you need about half an hour to install your apps and write down your recovery sheet. The Nano seemed out of space after I put a couple of apps on it, so a quick google search and I uninstalled all the apps and reinstalled the ones I wanted to use.
When I started transferring my cryptocurrencies I tested it out by receiving and sending small amounts until I was comfortable with the process. The Nano S is a bit fiddly but once you’ve mastered doing things in the correct order it is extremely simple to use.
I feel a lot easier now that my currency isn’t stored online and the recovery backup sheet gives extra confidence in the sytem.
He ledo que tienen muy buen servicio al cliente, yo afortunadamente no he tenido que utilizarlo hasta ahora. Otra cosa es que van aadiendo nuevas cosas cada cierto tiempo, muchas por sugerencia de sus clientes. Por ejemplo en el firmware 1.2 incluyeron soporte para Litecoin, y un Ledger Manager tambien. Aadieron soporte para tokens, y otras cosas mas tambien interesantes.
En relacin al aparato en si, esta hecho de materiales de buena calidad y se ve que aguantar con el tiempo. Esteticamente tal vez no sea un gadget atractivo, vamos que parece un simple pen drive, pero esto tambien es positivo ya que no llama la atencin de la gente. La pantalla es muy sencilla de utilizar, es limitada en los procesos pero cumple su cometido, en 2 minutos entenders a la perfeccin como funciona. No es tctil, va con botones.
La plataforma de Bitcoins es muy fcil de usar, encontrars aqui la informacin tpica de todos estos wallets, lo unico que le agregara sera poder aadir descripciones a cada transferencia.
La plataforma de Ethereum es un poco mas limitada, no hay mucha informacin, es bastante bsica de momento pero espero que con futuras actualizaciones podamos tener mas opciones y mas informacin.
Cuando hice este review ambas aplicaciones requieren un ordenador para usarlas, no tienen versin app, pero han dicho en los foros que eventualmente la incluirn. Si quieres saber cual es tu balance tienes que conectarlo a la extensin en Chrome (fotos), tal vez sera interesante poder saber tu balance directamente desde la pantalla del ledger.

Piensa que en el dispositivo solo podrs tener 4-5 monedas activas, porque solo tiene capacidad para eso, lo que quiere decir que para trabajar con una que no tengas activa tendrs que eliminar una activa y sustituirla por la que necesitas. Este proceso toma unos 2-3 minutos, no est tan mal pero es relevante de mencionar.
En fin, una buena opcin para principantes y avanzados que quieren aadir niveles de seguridad, el precio est bien. Para mi es una mejor opcin que el Trezor, el cual es mas caro y tiene practicamente las mismas funcionalidades.
Get the trezor wallet instead of this one but does everything it says an excellent offline cold storage solution thanks Amazon.

It’s the only hardware wallet out there I trust, and the one with the fewest flaws and weaknesses. Nothing in computers is 100% safe forever, but until quantum computers can break it 10 years from now, this thing’s gonna get a lot of use.
The display is TINY! Using the device is tricky at first and somewhat of a small learning curve.
Having now bought the Trezor hardware wallet alongside the Ledger Nano S i now feel that the Ledger Nano S is for me much better in every aspect.
I’ve been buying BTC, Litecoin & others and the Nanso S simply does it better in my opinion.

I dont have experience with any other hardware wallets but I did a lot of research before deciding to get the Ledger Nano S. I am happy with my purchase. It is easy to use and the instructions on their site are clear. I have recommended the same product to friends.
It does what it says to the letter. I’ve had one problem when using on Chrome & that is it closes your P.C Ports every time even when you think you’ve fix’s the problem on WINDOWS 8.1 BUT on WINDOWS 7 it is not a problem at all, IT WORKS LIKE A DREAM.

Fantastically intuitive. If you own more than a couple of hundred quid of crypto and you aren’t securing them offline on one of these because of the cost… hackers and phishers are everywhere. The cost of one of these vs losing your retirement fund is tiny… Just go for it and see how soundly you sleep after.

– Memory is surprisingly small, you can only fit about 4/5 currencies on there before it tells you you’ve ran out of space!
– Wasn’t any real means to tell you to update software – I had troubles transferring Bitcoin Cash, all that was needed was a firm ware update which required some googling, but little things like auto update are expected.

Without going into all the aspects of the wallet, I believe they are as safe as they can be and designed to be that way. Very happy with Ledger and they have performed very well during this social attack on the REAL BTC, lol! (split coins and transferred bcash into another wallet easily)
