As a dyed-in-the-wool Maglite user, I became increasingly disillusioned with their price, lack of performance and reliability issues so, when my latest Maglite failed right out of the packet, I decided to return it and give something else a try.
What can I say? This is an amazing kit for the money. With high/low setting and focus ring, there are no unnecessary bells’n’whistles. Instead, practical options. The tail-cap switch feels solid and decisive, the knurling grip feels positive, the weight and size feel comfortable. I use my torch on hour long walks and the torch only gets slightly warm (barely noticeable) without a noticeable step-down in brightness. Also, the pouch accessory feels premium quality, unlike some of the very flimsy alternatives that come with other torches.
Battery-life must be excellent, as I’m still using the original batteries that came with it!
Overall, VERY pleased. Torch technology really has a very long way in the last decade or so!
Absolutely great torch, very impressed on the brightness too. Had noticed around a year after buying it my torch developed a fault, it started to eat batteries for fun. Checked once off but a faint dimming light came from the LED, so because of the 7 year warranty on their torches I got in touch with their customer services whom I described the fault to. They asked to see a verified purchase to confirm it was me that needed the help, ie showed them the amazon invoice as it confirmed against my online warranty registration with them and that was that. 2 days later (bearing in mind it was a weekend when I requested help) a new battery housing and switch received from them first class post. It’s fixed the fault, happy guy and can’t fault their service. So if you’re after a new torch and worse case scenario, it requires any fix during the warranty I can vouch for their first class service/help and remedy. 5 stars on that.
Nice torch, good brightness, nice size and weight, well made. Battery life is lacking though. Technically this torch should not run on rechargeable batteries (as it specs 1.5 volt batteries and rechargeables are 1.2 volt) but it does. BUT, it still will only last circa two hours on 240 ish lumens. If you factor in buying the torch, a decent set of rechargeable batteries and a charger, you might as well look at the MT14 (for the combined cost) which is rechargeable (although slightly bigger and heavier), but it runs at 200 lumens for 20 hours. I have both of these torches and would recommend the MT14 over this torch hands down.
A great little torch that’s bright and a key part of my camping kit. The zoon is very useful and I would definitely recommend this torch to anyone who requires a compact but powerful torch.
Led lenser T2… Very handy and quite powerful flashlight. It is probably not a toy with focus adjustment even better because it is a solid construction. Shines strong and better than my old LED flashlight 2 times larger than this one. Perfect in the pocket as well as the knurled handle ensures good feel and grip. The adjustable focus option is not practical … too many moving parts. Now it’s time to buy a more serious one, namely laser technology in a flashlight.

Have had various torches over the years but this LED one is something else. I’ve have got a massive Maglite the biggest one takes 6 D size batteries and is heavy and expensive for replacement batteries but at the time there was no such thing as LED. This thing fits in your pocket only takes 4 AAA batteries and it day & night difference. I can see for literally few hundred yards. Everyone that I’ve shown it too is shocked. The quality of light is very bright, the range is something else and solid build quality. No wonder the police use them They ain’t cheap but definitely worth it.

This is WAYYY bigger than I was expecting but to be fair the size is clear in pics had I been paying attention! Can’t bring myself to return it as it’s such a good torch, feels quality, solid metal construction, tactile on off switch and nice carry case
I bought a cheaper LED torch and it had that annoying feature where each time you press the power button it cycles through modes. In other words only every 4th time you pressed the power on would it just be a torch that was on.
This torch actually has that feature but you half press the power button when it’s on to cycle through modes, so it’s there when you want it.
The build quality is really nice and in the spotlight mode it is so bright looking at the beam shining on your hand in daylight hurts your eyes.
The body of the torch is sturdy, has a nice finish(maybe anodised?) and it has a good diamond pattern grip that feels really secure in the hand.
I think the case is a bit useless though as it is quite a bit too small so you have to force the torch into it.
A great little torch, very bright, with a long reach on zoom. Best if all is it’s toughness…..I was working up a wind turbine and it fell out my pocket onto the concrete base below. I was expecting it to be shattered but my colleague picked it up and pressed the button and it came on, the lens was also still intact, all that had happened was the thin red seal around the lens had been partially dislodged! Absolutely amazing….I’ll try and attach photos.

This is a very good product and is one of the few torches which I have bought and used which lives up to its advertising. I have used it frequently recently when traversing rough ground in the dark and I consider it now to be an essential tool. It has a strong and wide beam and is light and easy to carry and use. It has its own case which can be attached to a belt and a lanyard which can go around the wrist for additional security. Recommended.

Superb torch. Feels solidly built and it is. Was looking for a while for a good LED torch. There a lot of Chinese brand torches with cheap prices and good specs but the reviews let them down. This one however is from a reputable company and I’m glad I purchased the LED lender. The quality of the beam is the best I’ve ever seen. When pointed at a surface it shows a perfectly smooth and even disc of white light. There are no marks or weird lens distortions that you get with normal torches. Just twist at the front to focus the beam. Feels like a professional tool. Would buy agsin.

it makes a good camp light, i like the way you can focus the beam when necessary, or have it on flood beam for area lighting where your sitting/working. its ideal for when out walking the dog.

I read a few reviews before bying this torch which was on sale before Christmas. I stopped reading when someone said it was like a light saber. Sold.
And it was! It’s magical. Beam is so tight. It’s a beautiful thing to behold.
I bought one for my sister too at the same time as an extra, ‘crazy’ prezzie. I live near the city and she lives in the pitch black countryside. So jealous of the light saber enhancing blackness.
Battery good so far and easy to move the beam ‘zoom’ bit at the front with one hand (sorry if too technical). Love it.
It brilliant very bright clear walking light plus lower brightness and sos also strobe. You can quickly go through settings and switch off and it goes back to brightest settings.

Best torch especially for walking the dog. Compacts and the box is lovely to keep the torch in. It’s weighty but not too much to handle on a walk. Two settings, the first is very bright and the second is a lower light setting. Adjustable so you can get a strong small beem or a wide area covered.
I don’t buy too many torches over the years, but I saw a thing on tv about these torches being faked, so I see a deal that had 10 off on amazon and I thought this would be great. The owner of the company was very genuine and I liked they way he put a lot of detail into the design of the product range. Its very nice beam, easy to use even with gloves. Nice design to store AA batteries and like you have gone for 24c gold connectors, adds class. I can see why security guards and police like these. 5 starts from my family.
The strength of the beam and the ability to alter it from narrow piercing beam to a wide sweeping light, is most useful. I use it every night when going out in pitch dark to feed the animals.
A sturdy feel for its small size and simply outstanding light , how they do it is beyond me , it’s a replacement for my t7 original and they’ve bettered it ! Every man should have a quality torch and this oozes class !

I bought this torch for a friend who works in the emergency services and he loves it, lots of cool features packed into a small and powerful torch. Expensive but appears to be excellent quality.
Do you like your retinas? Don’t look in the business end when this is on. You could probably signal the ISS with this, though they would then request that you didn’t as it would hurt their eyes.

To me as an asbestos surveyor this is probably the only torch I’d bother with now, the cost is painful if it gets lost, but you soon learn! I’ve found Duracells in this seems to drain in a day, energizers on the other hand clearly make a difference, my last 4 have been in there a week or so now but I am sparing with it, you leave this on for 5 mins your batteries are almost definitely dead, but, because it’s so bright you can really pick up things clearer at a distance, which in job is critical sometimes
Love this torch small but what a beam best so far have used it a few times and it’s not found lacking.
Great torch, very bright. Pleased overall, my only slight criticism is the light spread is very wide which can make focusing on details in the far distance difficult. This is a minor issue though

Very bright, excellent build quality and hard to fault really. Certainly not cheap, but after trying a few budget versions this is certainly the real deal and I expect it to last for many years to come.
Small, light and with excellent uniform bright luminosity. Feels great in the hand and focus function is really useful. Brightness does wane slightly with the 4 AAA batteries, but I love this torch.
Can’t wait for the invention/creation/release of a “T7R,” with boosted lumens, maintained focal distance, and extended battery life from a rechargeable 18650 battery. I love the rubber end switch which makes the recharging option tricky and will take some solving, but this torch would be perfect if it could be enhanced with the incorporation of the features of the P7R (only brighter, further and with even longer burn times!!). The addition of a programmable side switch option would also be beneficial.
I work in security and do late night patrols round grounds and this little torch lights up anything around me. It definitely has some power from 4aaa batteries.

This is a superb torch. Well made as you would expect from ledlenser. The quality of light is first class. The porch you get with it is bomb proof. Would highly recommend. You can get simular looking torches for under a tenner but in this case you get what you pay for!
This torch is blinking awesome. Bought this a couple of years ago at a much reduced price and if I ever needed to replace it, I’d buy again. We keep this torch on our narrowboat – when the main navigation headlamp failed on a very long tunnel, out came the LED Lenser torch and I sat at the front of the boat and held the torch pointing forward as we progressed through. After a half hour of sitting very still my arm was stiff but this little torch safely lit and navigated is through without the beam dipping or diminishing. Absolutely brilliant at lighting the towpath in the dark too. Adjustable beam for different uses – main and focused. Highly recommended, especially if you can take advantage of the reduced price on Amazon.
This was purchased to replace my p7.2 and this is a good bit brighter than the p7.2. Battery life seems good and it is beautifully made.

Nice tidy torch. I like the fact that it doesn’t have that flashing sos rubbish. Sometimes you just want a torch to turn on and not look like your starting a rave. The pouch is top notch.
Run a small security company, brought one to test. Did a great job we then ordered all our chaps one.
I work as a courier , and during the winter months it get dark really early making it difficult to see house numbers so I decided to buy a torch and trust me on this it did not disappoint.
I wasn’t sure if I could justify the hefty price tag which came with led lenser but it was on a Black Friday deal so I went and brought it .
The next day I was working late so out came the torch just as visibility was to hard to make any numbers on the houses .
I could sit in my van and shine this torch towards a house and it lit up so bright I could see every little detail of the house just as if it were day light . I have had torches in the past but this led lenser blows them all away .
If your thinking of buying a torch this is all you will need .

Man, this is a bright pocket torch. On a dark night, it is a very focussed beam shining hundreds of yards in to the distance.
And then with just a quick pull back yo get a very wide “lantern” light which lights up your entire surroundings. Incredible for the price really.
The case it comes in is nice but is a very tight fit to begin with.
I find LED lenser products fantastic. This little one stays in the car for emergencies and to help me find house numbers without getting out of the car. It’s range is great. The housing is robust and the battery compartment feels very strong. Getting the battery in the first time was a bit fiddly but once you see how it works there are no problems. I’d definitely buy again!

2nd lower battery saving mode, still really bright, sturdy belt case with carabiner type clip to save accidental loss from the torch falling out! Not much chance! But good little thought

Compact and solid, you can feel the quality in the finish, machined to be comfortable and robust. The beam pattern either in spot or flood is very consistent, the action is smooth and easy to use with one hand.
The only criticism I have is the button switch, not in it’s action which is firm and positive, but the fact you have to “cycle” through the settings for low, high and boost. As you first press the button you get the boost flash and then high when released, press again and you get another boost flash before it turns to low. It doesn’t seem much but when it’s dark and you first turn it on you’re blinded by the flash and then have high power when surely it would be better to start low and go up as you need it?
Maybe separate power and level buttons would be helpful.
Overall a great torch that will definitely last me a long time. I was hoping I hadn’t made a mistake paying this price but I needn’t of worried.

They are expensive, there are cheaper alternatives. But the T7 is a fab torch and is my go to. Just got to justify the budget for another one.
I’ve owned several LED Lenser torches like this one. They are excellent but if you accidentally leave a battery in them when not in use they seem to leak unexpectedly quickly. Once that happens it’s hard to fix. Whether this is the fault of batteries (I live in a country where alkaline battteries could potentially be fakes) or something related to the torch I can’t say.
The Lenser T7.2 is a small torch but don’t let the size fool you. The light it produces from its four AAA batteries is extremely bright!
The body of the torch feels like it is made from high quality steel or aluminium and is durable and tough enough to survive drops and rough treatment. All joints have rubber seals so it should be waterproof although I wouldn’t take it underwater!
There’s only one thing to be aware of: on high power mode it can eat through thoses AAAs. You’ll still get hours of continuous light but if you’re going camping you might want a backup set of batteries.
This is an upgrade for my older lED Lenser. This one takes 4x AAA batteries where my old one only took 3x AAA, slightly larger than my old one. A very bright torch with a focus bezel and two light settings.
Having never used any of these led torches I was a bit dubious about the power and reach of the light but I gotta say I was blown away when I just tested it once it got dark outside. This product would be worth it at full price, I picked it up at half the price in a limited time deal on here.
The only slight negative for me is the focus mechanism is really stiff, should loosen up a bit with use I expect but at the moment I can’t operate the zoom like the manual says, I have to hold 5th torch with both hands and use both thumbs so I don’t even need to use the focus lock as it takes a lot of force to move it, despite this though it’s still five stars from me.
As others have commented, there are only three settings on the button: full brightness, reduced brightness, and off. There doesn’t appear to be a timeout involved: when switched on, a subsequent click several seconds later always selects the reduced brightness – so effectively, to switch off from full brightness you need to press the button twice.
The focus is quite a nifty feature, smoothly changing from a wide evenly-illuminated circle down to a much narrower one.
There is a warning label attached to the output end advising not to look at the beam.

I think these are the best torches you can buy. Nice and small, light yet very strong. Uses AAA batteries which last ages. Don’t buy a cheap torch spend a bit more. Plus if you register it with LEDLENSER you receive a 7 year warranty!

This is a solidly engineered, compact torch with an exceptionally brilliant light with two brightness settings. Switching is easy with the large button at the rear of the casing. The torch can be used whilst in the the Velcro closing pouch which also has the facility to fasten to a belt. The unit is powered by 4 AAA batteries and battery life appears to be as long as you’d expect from an LED torch. It’s an expensive, but very high quality item with a very powerful beam. Highly recommended.

This is a great torch, it is very bright, and using the thinness beam, can reach to the houses at the back.

Purchased for emergency service work and has been a reliable tool on many dark nights. The torch is configurable to suit the user withany brightness options and button selections. The lock focus ring is a good idea and the slight guard around the button has prevented inadvertently switching it on compared to my other 7-series Led lenser. The best feature is a subtle flash which warns of batteries running low. Holds a good level of light to low battery state (rather than taking off – although you can choose that option if you prefer). Uses batteries a little faster than I like but for the light output and functions it’s totally worth it.
I walk to work at 05.10 and some of the street lights are off, so wanted a decent torch. This is very bright and does the job nicely. Would recommend this product to anyone thinking of buying

cracking little torch ! i live out in the country and use this at night to spot and scare away foxes from our hens..lights them up a treat ,a few rounds later and their brown bread !! ive tried loads of other cheap torches but this is the best by far ! get one bought NOW! AND TURN THOSE PESKY FOXES TO TEA BAGS !!
