The construction is crazy good, this was my biggest upgrade, sound and picture is much bette
Use it to improve streaming music connection. Why trust your tunes to the dental floss in inferior Ethernet cable just good enough for computer connections?
With a MacMini and a little NAS storage device to connect, this looked like – and is – the perfect solution for minimising cable clutter. It exceeds the capabilities of the Mac’s network ports and is connecting directly to one of the four ports on a QNAP box, which is running as a virtual bridge; I’ve found it utterly flawless.
My uses aren’t for bandwidth, but timing, as the Mac is working as a MIDI device over network. I’ve had no lagging or glitches – latency really isn’t an issue when playing – and the secure connection means if I have to poke about with the hardware the cable isn’t going anywhere.
Clips are secure and easy to operate, the vibrant sleeve is easy to spot, and the cable fits the ports snugly. There’s not much more to add from my perspective – top marks for one of those essentials you don’t really think much about.
Delivered quickly that entire side of things was fine.
As was the product which is of very high quality. The fit is fantastic and, and I know some will say I am hearing things, but music over the the net tightened its focus a little. I am very happy.
This is an excellent LINKUP — [40Gbps Certified] Cat8 Ethernet Patch Cable Double Shielded. It offers nice fast speeds for your wired internet. Why it asks about the WiFi am unsure as this is a wired connection. It is easy to install. And as long as you have a fast modem you will get the faster speeds, it even helps performance on slower modems giving you the fastest speeds your modem can put out. Very durable and well constructed. Overall very happy with it. And highly recommend.
Excellent quality and they definitely improved my speed. Started with one cable (modem to router), checked the speed with my old cables, and then with the new LINKUP cable (tested each 3 times). Download: old cables average 489.92 Mbps, LINKUP average 898.06 Mbps. This was a cheap upgrade (Cat 6 to Cat 8) and future-proofed my network.
Needed 8 of these, sadly only sold in 6 and 2 packs.
They were shipped quickly and for a fair price.
Easy to use. Excellent quality. 10/10 would buy again. Nice how-to video online as well.
One word of caution, when I ordered these, I accidentally selected the wrong Easy Press Connector tool to go with them. Make sure to choose “for Keystone” or it won’t work.
But no issue, was able to just use hand pressure and for final closure a gentle squeeze with plumber pliers, perfection.
10/10 would buy again.
Note: I tried CAT 6A keystones before these, but found out the hard way that won’t work due to CAT 8 cable having 22 AWG wires compared to 23/24 AWG of CAT 6A and 6.
This Ethernet cord works reliably to connect my tv straight to the modem. Easy to use and the signal is reliable.
Conectores RJ45 de alta calidad, facilidad de montaje y funcionamiento correcto. Recomendable, aunque tienen un precio algo elevado.
Excellent ethernet cable. Bought the 2M to sit between my ISP modem and ASUS router. This cable is built to last, the sound and picture quality are excellent. Will buy three more 1m to upgrade all my connections.
This cable definitely standa out from other lower grade ones. It’s thick insulation gives you reliability and peace of mind you will have something that lasts.
Clip in mechanism works perfectly and when cable is connected it will stay in place no matter what.
This is more than enough speed vise and fills in all criterias. After testing speeds and performance everything is as it should be, no slowing down, lag or similar.
Unfortunately, Cable lengths I have ordered was too short and it was only 0.9m long, but that is completely my fault. Cable itself needs to be worked out in order to become softer and go where you planned it.
This is the first time that I am saying that it is a nice looking cable.
In this case it is not just the quality of the cable, but also the manufacturer put some time and effort to make the cable look good as well.
The cable is made in a nice blue colour and it is 0.9M.
The wires are well shielded and the connectors have gold plated contacts.
The cable comes with something like serial number on it and a print out with the same serial number from a passed test during the time of manufacturing.
This is great as you can clearly see that it is a perfectly working cable.
The cable keeps the 40Gbps speed without issues, but you need 2 devices that are able to connect with that speed.
If you have devices that support less than 40Gbps, the cable will still work without issues, but you will not be able to reach the 40Gbps speed.
Hopefully my review was Helpful for you.
I needed a short cable – it’s a little stiff. Of which I have a Cat. 8 can go out in such a short length. Therefore, fine for my purpose. This is a Cat 8 network cable The RJ45 connectors are very well finished, they have a metal part to give them more robustness. The cable is coated in flexible PVC
Absolutely superb patch cable.
Cat 8.1 is light years ahead of anything you’d need for home use unless as an enthusiast you wanted the best. My whole house is wired for cat 6 and I can already envisage that becoming obsolete.
Ive used my patch cables to connect my modem to my switch and my nas to the switch also as thye are the points where most data is moving.
However your network is only as good as its slowest cable which in my case is cat6.
Cable is solid, well made and I would buy this brand aI am so impressed with it.
Tested and it showed Me good Improvement
I bought 2 Cables and I ordered 3 more!
This is an excellent quality cable, it arrived really quickly and was simply packaged but had a nicely detailed spec sheet inside.
The connectors are really positive and firm, the cable itself is also quite stiff. This isn’t a problem for me but could be for someone who needs to route the cable around a tight corner.
I replaced a Cat 6 cable with this as I noticed some instability in my home network.
The Cat 8 shielding should reduce interference and that gas proven to be the case.
My network is now more stable, no ping drops or interference even though its currently routed near a power cable.
As I said earlier, this is an excellent quality cable but it is a little expensive, hence I knocked a star off.
I hope you find my review helpful.
Really well made ethernet cable that is very sturdy and easy to connect/disconnect.
The cable provides a fast and stable connection, no complaints from me
5/5
Well made Ethernet cable that’s good value for future proofing.
Pros:
– strong
– durable
– future proof for when you want to upgrade speed thus minimising e waste.
– Ethernet ends are better made than any I have seen, easy to remove with the tabs which seems to be reinforced so probs won’t break off as easily.
Cons
– none really
Overall excellent cable, definitely recommend.
Seems to be well made, high quality and durable. No issues so far.
This cat 8 ethernet cable is a length of 90cm. The RJ45 cable is gold plated and sports a slick yellow design which delivers data transfer speed of upto 40Gbps (2Ghz)
Things I liked:
* certified cat 8 performance
* super premium look and feel (a cool looking yellow colour)
* incredibly fast data transfer. WoW!!!!
Overall, i’m totally blown away at the data transfer speed I received on this Cat8 ethernet cable. A super quality, but shorter length home network cable.
Great little cable that’s future proofing my links for my devices.
I got three different colours of these to connect different devices. This enables me to know which device is on which port and if I need to unplug/swap something it’s easy to do.
Works as intended, I’m already recieving the fastest speed possible via my broadband but these will definitely future proof.
I had 2 cables which were advertised as CAT 7 in the past only to find i had 100mbps max capacity when I upgraded to gigabit internet. Swapped them out for this and now i get the full 1000mbps download so I cant complain at all. Though CAT 8 is overkill for 99% of people.
Work’s fine does the job but not as flexable as the modern ones
This cat 8 Ethernet Patch Cable from linkup is a high end performance Cat 8 cable, that can allow up to 40Gbps of Data transfer speed. This cable is well built and the end connectors are solid, I use this to connect to my Ethernet 8 port switch. I use this as my main input cable for my Switch this gives me the maximum bandwidth. This Cat 8 cable is shielded so will prevent interference with other cables and power sources. Overall this cable is future proof and supports most Bandwidths and is compatible with older Cat Cables.
Reasonable quality and excellent plugs each end though I do personally prefer the more flexible ones these days and minimum 2m
Excellent patch cables more suitable for use in industry but also usable in the home (with no real advantage). They cost a little more than what is usually paid but with good reason. Low profile RJ45’s and shrouding. Each cable identified and tied up with a test report. The data on the report is probably meaningless to most but it still offers some good reassurance.
At 7.96, at the time of writing,

LINKUP — [40Gbps Certified] Cat8 Ethernet Patch Cable Double Shielded2000MHz (2GHz) Cat8.1Future Proof LAN Wires Compatible with Cat7A, Cat7, Cat6A, 25G, 10G, 1G Network [Blue] – 3ft (0.9M)
Looks to be, a short, but useful, wee patch cable.
But, is it any good?
Is it good value?
Will I get a cup of tea during this review?
Let’s hope that the answers to these, plus a few more, randomly encountered questions, bumped into during the course of my meandering, and increasingly erratic, review, lie ahead of us, as we take a closer look… …
It arrives in a branded plastic bag, which looks smart, and professional, making a good first impression.
Out of the bag, and the contents are easy to catalogue:
1 x Cat8 Ethernet Patch Cable (Blue)
Nice and straightforward.
Like my Uncle Robert.
The build quality of the cable is excellent.
It is chunky, thick, and clearly durable, feeling like it does.
There are a few things we should know about Ethernet cables, and their Cat’s.
So if you need an explanation, off you pop, and have a quick search, and we’ll wait for you…
We could sing a wee song, while they are away… I’ll start… Oh yeah…. Oooh… Join in when you are… Oh, they’re back.
So now we are all on the same page, and understand the different Cat’s of the Ethernet Cable world, we know that as a Cat 8 cable, this cable has a lot of features that we should look out for.
Now, as a reviewer, we tend to specialise in certain areas.
Some people are experts on horses, others could be a wine, or a chocolate expert… imagine that… I.. err.. Got to be a bit of an expert in Ethernet Cables… Lucky me.
So I know we are looking for some specifics from the cable, so we should probably check them off here…:
Speed. 2GHz frequency, and up to 40Gbps in data transfer
Heavy Shielding : highly double shielded.
Connectors : RJ45 plugs, gold-plated connectors and contacts
Construction : Stranded copper conductor wiring, individually foiled pairs
Compliant with… Everything it should be.
We now know we are dealing with a serious Cat 8 cable here.
It’s only a wee one, at 0.9 Metres, but that is plenty long enough for a patch cable, that we all need at sometime in our life.
For this one, it was destined to end up as the main link between the Router, and the main PC.
It needed some TLC and upgraded to Cat8.
Now for some, this may be overkill, as none of my home peripherals can take advantage of such speeds, that the Cat8 Cable is capable of.
Not now, they can’t.
But they will some day.
So with this cable, I am essentially future proofing my own network, so it is ready, when the time comes, that the components are able to take advantage of my Cat8 patch cable.
Peace of mind, I think we’ll call it.
Value wise, the cable is very cheap.
Just under 8 quid, and the cable is a bit of a bargain.
I would happily pay this, plus, for a cable of this quality.
Overall, the cable is a fantastic little patch cable, with everything you could ask for in a Cat8 cable.
It is equipped well, high specced, well-designed, and great value.
I think that that distant sound is the sound of a kettle boiling…
Milk, no sugar, thank you… Lovely .
Biscuit ?
Highly recommended.
The cable, and the cup of tea.
I hope you enjoyed our time together .
Thank you for reading my review .
Genuine Cat8 rated cables are ultra-thick and stiff (multiple 22 AWG solid core copper wires with double shielding). But for very short patch cable manufacturers are allowed to use 26 AWG stranded copper and still meet Cat8 rating.
LINKUP patch cable is very short with only 0.9m and use 26 AWG stranded copper. Being thin and very flexible, this patch cable is perfect to connect network devices (inside rack or on a desk). This cable won’t put too much stress on your devices’ jack connector and won’t lift your devices up in the air.
In the package LINKUP includes a Cat8 certification sheet made by a third-party lab. But I don’t have the scientific knowledge to know if it’s legit or not.
The LINKUP Cat8 patch cable is the perfect complement to their Cat8 riser cable (22 AWG solid core copper). We installed their riser three days ago. I initially planned to use left over from the riser to make my own patch cable with LINKUP Cat8 toolless connectors (yellow connector in the photo). But their riser is way too thick and stiff to be used also as patch cable. It’s where their dedicated patch cable comes in handy.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: I have contacted LINKUP customer service regarding some of their products, they are located in Toronto I think, and they provided me with great after-sale support.

I’ve been upgrading the various cables in my home network and now have this one as part of it. The old cable still functioned but was an older (lower) build-standard. As I’ve built up to use more and more equipment I’ve noticed that many of my network cables run alongside others (including power cables), as well as a multitude of transformers and other equipment. All of them are potential sources of noise which can degrade the network, hence my move to higher grade cables like this one which have lots of shielding to protect against interference.
The cable feels sturdy from a physical point of view with a robust outer coating, and the connectors fit well when inserted. The cable works perfectly too, and although I can’t detect any difference in performance at this stage I know that by gradually upgrading the various equipment that I have (including patch leads like this one) then I’m dealing effectively with the elements which degrade it. I’m very pleased with this cable and the others I have from the Linkup brand so I would consider buying more of them.
I got this cable to connect up my NAS drive which has been having issues with the old cable I was using.
The meter was just a good length as my drive is next to the PC, I had tried a half meter one but that was too short.
Drive access since connecting with this cable has been excellent, no speed drops and Lightroom is running much better as I have all my Lightroom photos on the NAS drive.
One thing to mention is this cable is very heavy duty which is great, but it does mean there is very little give around the plugs so don’t expect to easily bend the cables near the plug.
All I can say is, there are others., But the relationship of quality and sound is overwhelming. Try i
Pros:
These things future proof your terminations for the next fifty years.
Absolutely worth every penny, if you want to install Cat8 cables (I recommend the cat8 cables also sold by LinkUp) that will last forever, just go with these.
What I really want to sell about this style of connector is how unbelievably simple the termination process is. You dont need their special fancy tool, any sort of plier tool that can put some clamping force will do. I just used the handles portion of my normal termination tool and it worked splendid.
The process of popping the cables into the clearly labeled guide and just popping it into the housing and clamping together was AMAZING.
I spent HOURS fiddling around with cat5 and cat6 style connectors with the garbage little plastic sleds, then I gave up and bought this style and it was like night and day. These things are zero effort and honestly I am pretty sure a child could terminate them.
Cons:
They cost a lot of money, I get it.
However!
LinkUp also offers a cheaper model on their store here you might want to check out (also comes in a variety of colors!), check out their Cat6 connectors, they look almost the same.
They are a bit cheaper (at the time of writing this about half the cost) and are slightly less bullet proof.
But in like a, “Now you have an armored van instead of a literal tank” kind of way, while comparatively their competitors are still selling you a weak little sedan.
Aside from that, the other con I can think of is they are BIG. These boys are THICC, so they *might* not be the greatest if you are trying to use them in super tight spaces.
I had a kind of tough time wedging them through the tighter gaps of my server rack for example.
Though, when it comes to that, its about planning. Running the wire through first and THEN terminating after makes that “problem” go away.
Aside from that, if you find terminating cat5/6 cables to be awful, give LinkUps models a spin.
Using between my router and my PS5 and I’m clocking 900+ MB down without any fluctuation or interference. This cable is boss!
This cable is great. The connectors have a very solid fit into the ports and a reassuring click when inserted to let you know that the cable is seated. Overall, I would highly recommend this cable as it is great value for money and is a very durable and high-quality cable for the price. If you are looking for a solid cable that will last a long time, then look no further.
I guess the possible options for usage for a cable like this are many – ranging from commercial to home/office. In my case it runs between a BT Home Hub 6 and a disk from a BT Whole Home Wi-Fi setup – and works flawlessly. Removing the cable (i.e. depressing the flange to unclip) is made substantially easier with the design which is used – particularly useful in awkward places. The only downside in my particular use case is that thickness of the cable (thanks to shielding etc. so necessarily so) makes it less pliable [i.e. it doesn’t curve and bend as easily as some others).
I got this cable to connect two high speed network devices together.
As my external link is fibre and I have a high speed switch linking all my devices, I like to keep my cabling up to date every 5yrs or so.
The cable has no problems carrying all I’m currently using to the external box.
The cable is robust, backwards compatible and depending on the length you get, if your household are heavy gamers then these could meet your needs for a reliable connection.
Currently using as a short term solution for a powerline adaptor. Its intended use will be from a switch to a desktop PC once I’ve finished decorating and laying cables.
Perfect patch cable, I’m currently using mine as the WAN link between my router and the fibre wall socket.
I’ve noticed no issues with speed or interference from other electrical devices.
Works will help to display a good picture on our security camera using this short Ethernet cable.
A FAVOR:
No te equivocars.
Great 90cm cat8.1 cable. Perfect for modem to wall, server to computer etc. etc.
Great 90cm cat8.1 cable. Perfect for modem to wall, server to computer etc. etc. Looks good in blue.
Very nicely made cat cable. Solid ends, really well constructed. Firmer than a cat 5, as expected, but not overly firm so you think it will snap. Clicks into a socket, and out, with zero issues. No loss on throughout from a cat 5 and very much expect it has massive throughput. Length is great, no long sagging cable for a connect to connect. Execrllent cable.

I will start by saying that I am certain I ordered the cable in the pictures. That is, black cable with red connectors. The one I received was all black. At the end of the day, it is not overly important, as it is the cable performance that counts.
It arrived in a clear plastic bag and inside, the ends of the cables were not sheaved to protect them during storage and transit. Something I see as being an indicator of quality, that is missing from this one. The connectors do look ok, and the cable performs as expected. Due to the short length, I am using between my Smart TV and a Powerline router, and it works ok. Cat 8 is a bit of an overkill for this, but it does mean the cable is somewhat futureproof.
The sort of performance this cable delivers, is better suited to high end applications, rather than normal home use. However, if changing cables, why not get the most up-to-date ones and future proof your set-up.
The cable is quite thick and, if bent, will keep that shape quite well.
Price wise, it is inline with other cable at the same price and quality.
I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.
NB. For a sizing guide, squares in photos are 1cm.
The LINKUP CAT8 ethernet patch cable is supplied in a resealable plastic bag. Each cable is individually numbered and tested and comes with a test management software results page (pics 1-2).
I like the yellow livery I chose and as I removed the cable from its packaging it was easy to see the care that had been taken with its design (pic 3). The RJ45 plugs are well made and sturdy (pics 4-6). They snap in and click out of the sockets on my router with ease. The cable is well made and shielded but is not stiff or difficult to manipulate. It is very flexible and it is easy to route it for my chosen application. The cable is slightly longer than 36 inches from plug tip to plug tip and I measured just over 35 inches of exposed cable (from the base of one plug to the base of the other).
I have gradually been futureproofing and upgrading the cables in my network that I use for computer, audio visual and audio streaming equipment. This cable will be used to run from my main router into a desktop hub that I use for connecting drop in laptops and the like. It replaces a CAT6 cable and it was easy to see the benefits immediately. The hub was designed for at least CAT7 so it was capable of showing the difference. My top speed is around 75gb/s but nonetheless I noticed improvements in stability and download and upload speeds. I have not done exhaustive testing but I am satisfied that for the price this is a very good buy.
This cable is great and I am struggling to find anything to criticise. They would work equally well in a domestic or office environment and for the money represent excellent value. If the length suits your needs then this is a very solid buy.
A FAVOR:
No te equivocars.

I really like these termination devices. No need for special tools, you just feed the wires in and close the gate. Truly easy to use and provides a solid connection.
Used these on Cat7a cable. These worked flawlessly, no fails!
It works and it’s the only one I found that was certified GHMY & DSX8000.
A little pricy but pretty great quality. No complaints in performance
Purchased for attaching Cat 8.1 type die cast ethernet plugs to STP ethernet cable. Internet info’ limited apart from some pictures and I thought it might help with the rather tricky connecting of insulation displacement terminations in the Cat 8.1 plug (no room in plug to use the standard network IDC tool). What this Linkup device does, it appears, is to simply close up the die cast shell of the plug after wiring is complete, thus ensuring the plastic former in the plug which locates and presses down the 8 wires onto the IDC terminals, completes the job – but so does a pair of ordinary pliers with far less trouble!
Very sturdy cable. This is not your grandpa Cat 5
This is one of the best I found.
Highly recommended I upgrading my entire home network now that I am streaming more tv shows from Hulu , Prime , Disney plus.
Cost a lot but easy to use. I like how easy it is to take apart and reuse if you change your mind and want to move it somewhere else. I accidentally forgot to put a plate before terminating but it was so easy to take the termination off, slide the plate then put the termination back on.
Works great. Was confused a minute from the video but it works fine. Not that complicated.
Cost a bit more but quality is not cheap. I like the high quality.
Very well made, trusted company and gives me the speed advertised by my Internet Provider. The company offers the Cat8 Termination Plugs and Ethernet jacks for this Cat8 cable and they are very easy to install for a novice.
These Ethernet wires are the truth hands down! My internet speeds jumped up dramatically! Look no further a bit expensive but worth the investment. I highly recommend!
I have always been hesitant to try to place an RJ45 onto my ethernet cables because it was difficult to do until now. The LINKUP connectors are the easiest to use from understanding which wire goes where as well as the ease of inserting the wires and manually closing the connector. I highly recommend this to all.
Ottimo connettore robusto e facile da usare. Arrivato velocemente e ben impacchettato. Funziona perfettamente
No requiere herramientas especiales.
As others have mentioned, these are a bit expensive but they are high quality and everything cat8 is relatively pricy right now. I purchased so I could complete custom runs around my house. I figured if I was running cables now I may as well future proof. The connectors are very easy to use. You simply line up the colors and close the connector. If you only have a few this is fine to do by hand otherwise you can use a tool. I purchased this and keystone jack’s from LINKUP and could not hesitate to purchase again. One note is these are fairly large connectors so make sure you have room whenever you’re using them.
I just used the 2nd set. They are so so easy to install. Except they don’t work. I thought first set may have been off or I did it wrong. 2nd set now, used exactly as prescribed. Cable doesn’t work. Waste of $40.
Update: I made a big mistake. The wire that I have, though good quality, is 26awg and these are for 22-24. It’s likely that this is the cause of my issue
great product , i have been using it for connectix keystones ,and it works
Outstanding cable! Thick, sturdy, great quality construction! Definitely worth the price!
Leichte Handhabung, sehr schn zu verarbeiten. Wrde ich wieder kaufe
Fabulous terminators. Accidentally bought more heavy duty Ethernet cable than intended (solid copper, AWG 23 cat 6), so the usual RJ45 connectors wouldn’t work. These are a dream to fit and completely bomb proof.
Tough to maneuver in tight spaces because of durability. Just an observation, nothing to lose a star in build quality over. Great product. Best Ethernet cord out there on Amazon hands down!
Ottimi
Bought 200 meters Cat 8 Ethernet cable with the tools.
Customer service over web chat were brilliant to say the least after I did not want to purchase any other keystone jacks but LINKUP.
I could go on and on……..
Everything about the cable was top notch and well insulated. It is sturdy with the diameter about the same as RG6. I would buy it again if needed
These are extremely high quality, the best I have seen to be honest. The tooless design is very easy to use while also providing a great connection.
Worth the price if you require a CAT8 line that will last years.
I have a decent home network (pfSense, Unifi switches etc) but this review will not focus on that.
This cable is not used in my main network but to connect a couple of key audiophile / videophile components to a dedicated Melco switch. We are talking Oppo 203, dCS Rossini etc.
It’s an over-engineered cable with 22AWG OFC copper, some the most impressive connectors I have seen to date and, best in class screening and, to cut a long story short, a sound to die for.
I know plenty of people don’t believe in network cables – bits are just bits after all – but the demonstration is simple. Pay 30, not hundreds or thousand, wait for the delivery man to knock on your door, sit back and enjoy the difference.
I have the Audioquest Diamond, the Meizu Opal and plenty of other “audiophile” cables. This is on par with the very best for a fraction of the price.
I am not going to say more. It’s ridiculously cheap by audiophile standards, connect your streamer or your TV using this cable. Don’t argue, just try one. Hear / see the difference.
Not sure this is completely necessary but it’s completely awesome
Ottimo.
I put these ends on 5×22, heavy duty wire and ran it out to the garage…Works perfectly
Extremely easy to use tool for field termination ethernet connectors which by the way did I mention AREN’T INEXPENSIVE? As long as you are careful and take your time, this handy tool will make the job of terminating your cables with those really good yet really expensive field termination connectors a breeze. Every single connector was tightened properly and the connections to the network has been amazing.
Overall this is a high quality product from cat 8 cable to the crimper it all works and us the easiest to insrall
Pros :Everything this company makes is good.
All works
Future proofing
Easy
Cons.
price
Do you really need cat 8 to play xbox. Absolutely not
Other thoughts
If you want to run ethernet I recommend this. Until companies go full fiber to my knowledge 40gbs if the fastest by copper wire. I only use a 100th of it but with low cross talk I have noticed slight improvement in gaming. And no connection error after hard wiring everything I could.
I have a small house (about 1200sf) I installed cat 8 in every bedroom and living room with linkup keystone Jack’s and field connectors. It costed a little bit but worth every penny if you have the mentality of higher price equals higher product. Then this is your product.
Impressed with the quality. Much more advanced than older category Ethernet parts. I can see why they cost is much more; higher quality and materials needed for speed. Only issue: it is hard to find 24 AWG Cat 8. Most available are 26 AWG and according to the product description the wire must be 22-24 AWG.
Had to watch a couple YouTube videos to figure out how to wire the cat8 cable but eventually got it done. Better instructions on their website would have been helpful.
almost all plastic design but make it a breeze crimping cat 6 adaptors
Excellent quality and service from Linkup. I was unsure whether the price was worth it but given the time saved terminating and the consistency of transfer speed and quality I wouldn’t use anything else again.
Purchased a set of these as well as some cheaper ones. I bought the cheaper ones because of cost as these are quite expensive. Running true CAT8 cable is rather challenging. The cable is stiff, thick, and terminating it is troublesome. These terminators are extremely easy to use. Tools required to make it the most simple:
-Small pair of sharp snips
-Pair of pliers
-Cable jacket stripper
That’s all you need. Terminating has never been so easy. The cheaper ones I tried, I could never even get the wire into the right channels before crimping. With these, absolutely no problem. Highly recommended. I just wish the price would come down (~$10 each one).
Easy to terminate, and works really well. A closeout of times i crossed some wires, but it was easy to open it back up and fix the problem without cutting more cable.
These connectors were really easy to use! All I needed was a small pair of wire snips. They also look very nice on the end of the cable.
