The wheel and house supplied are far too small for a syrian hamster. You need a 28cm wheel at least which basically fills the entire height of the cage. I put these two straight in the bin. Other than that, it’s not far off being the correct width for a syrian so it’s a great starter cage. I’ve put perspex up on one side though so I can build up the bedding so my hamster can burrow.

First of all the size of the cage is decent you could happily fit 2-4 rats in here (the triple size)! HOWEVER that’s if you don’t put in those wooden shelves in, as it can accumulate ammonia or that ridiculous wheel which isn’t fit for any animal. The cage itself comes flat-packed but can be put together in minutes. It’s super easy to clean! I would suggest the triple if you get anything bigger than a small hamster. The two doors on the front don’t really clink into the bars properly so I’ve squeezed it on a higher bar. I got this one for my rescue rat, who has severe aggression issues and he absolutely loves it. Plenty room for the chonker to run around!
It’s not fit for anything bigger than a rat though. It’s a solid first cage, so can’t really complain. If you’re looking for a decent cage on the cheaper side this is really good! A nice double layer cage for lots of exercise. Sturdy enough but also not too heavy to move. Recommended for giving your rats enough space.
Absolutely perfect upgrade for my rat babies only giving 4 stars as the smallest ramp was missing but overall makes no difference to the cage. Easy to assemble, doors are on the small side but not a problem as the whole roof lifts up
Wasn’t so easy to assemble and need to assemble it on hard floor surface found connectors came loose when moving cage from room with hard floor to position want it to be inbut otherwise it’s a great cage just wish the doors on the side were either bigger or had additional door on same level
Bought this cage after the hamster chewed through the wooden one we bought. Absolutely brilliant. Lots of space, even for a big wheel and very secure. In fact, I bought another two for my other hamster. Really recommend.
This is a nice big cage. I have 2 rats that have plenty of room for toys and running around. Came with 2 small food bowls not mentioned when ordering.
Very happy with this purchase in terms of the cage size.
Cage is sturdy and a good length and depth to allow a large Syrian hamster to exercise and burrow away.
The accessories, however, are suitable for a smaller hamster.

Fairly great cage for the price. Hamsters are hard animals to please. Despite the large size and height, my hamster continued to chew the bars. This cage is definitely sturdy though and can easily house a single syrian hamster or a few dwarf hamsters. I have not had the chance to see what this cage is like housing rats but if it is any correlation it should be suitable for rats also.
I would prefer that there were more drop down gates for better ease of access, particularly perhaps a very large double open gate on the side or at the very least, more gates on both side or all sides as it can be quite difficult to reach into the more tucked away places that they usually hide in.
The top of the cage does fully open but for reaching the lower platforms I would prefer more opening gates.
Only 1 downside to the cage is the ramp has no grip and my hampster kept sliding down when trying to climb up it so I had to stick sandpaper on it for grip. Other than that the cage is very nice, I would recommend this cage.
My two dwarfs love this cage, great amount of space for them and the large opening at the top is great for bonding or changing toys! Massive improvement from the smaller cage the pet store sold us
Its pretty big for a start to help anyone with buying a first cage and theres bars on top for putting hammocks and toys to hang off my baby chip lives in here but soon i will get a detolf this is just for now!
I love this cage, it’s big enough for my Syrian Hamster to be happy in and fit all his bits and bobs. It’s super easy to clean. I have his sand pit and food bowl on the shelf because the wood wouldn’t be easy to clean and it’s perfect. It was a slight fiddle to assemble but once it’s done it’s done so I didn’t mind. It’s easy to take apart to clean and that’s so important to me.
I bought this for my 4 girls (mice) which it’s pretty good for. Assembling it was okay after the initial connection but is a little difficult. The wheel that comes with it is way too small, I personally kept it in there for one night due to their size then replaced it with a trixie wheel. Everything else is good space and depth and easy to take clean! (bar spacing may be too wide!!)
Son purchased this for hamster. Able to fit lots, of accessories inside leaving plenty of room for hamster to exercise.

Perfect size for my two male rats. Light enough to move around. The wooden attachment at the bottom does make cleaning the cage a little tricky, but it’s not a huge issue. Plenty of space to hang hammocks and other play items.
We have many rat and the three boys we put in this one seem to love this cage and I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for rat cage for 3
This cage is absolutely brilliant for Syrian hamsters so I have no complaints there. However, the house that comes with the cage is dangerous/unsafe. My poor hamster got stuck in the window part of the house to the point he practically stopped breathing. Luckily, my son spotted him in time. Any longer and I think he would have died As I said the cage is fab but please buy a bigger/safer house for your hamsters.
Was a little difficult to assemble but is a good size and like that my hamster has a safe cage with different levels but also enough depth to the bottom to deepbed for him to tunnel. Good value for money. Wheel is a little small so I just purchased my own in place of the one that came with the cage.
Our hamster was in a much smaller cage, where she was continuously trying to gnaw her way through the bars. We’ve put her in one of these and she appears to be so much happier; she scampers about, up and down the different levels, plays with her activity toys, which are dotted around the interior and there is very little gnawing of the bars. A great cage; a happy hamster.
A few bars broken but didnt notice untill all put together and rats were already in there. Couldnt see where to contact seller so just put up with it.
Apart from that i assembled this alone in less than 10 minutes and the rat are fine in it. The bars are ideally spaced for younger rats too. Sturdy and looks decent.
Lovely large well built cage with loads of room for my 2, however access is pretty hard. You’re unable to reach your pets from the doors which has made hand taming quite difficult. Doors definitely need to be bigger or more of them to make this cage perfec

This cage assembled very easily, a lot sturdier than appeared in pictures. I’ve had this for a few months now and the parts of the shelves that attach are just starting to wear away.
My only downside would be the doors on the front of the cage are a little small, very hard to to pick up my rats and take them out the cage.
I would recommend though, excellent value for money and incredible spacious.
Great hamster cage – lots of room and deep so he can dig tunnels and make himself comfy! So much larger and nicer than those at pets at home and similar. Wheels and bed provided are too small for our Syrian though, but easy to replace with suitable ones.
Actually a lot bigger than I thought but it’s great! Our 2 rats love their new home.
It was a bit fiddly to put together but I have 2 rats in mine and it is excellent for them. Especially the ladders and the see saw. I have the triple layer one and they love it! Deep enough for them to burrow too which is a bonus! Worth the money!
Great looking cage. Big and spacious inside. Easy to assemble. Feels sturdy with nice frame on top to conceal the cage edges. We haven’t got any occupants yet, so I can only judge on the aesthetics, but so far I’m pretty impressed. The two doors on the front may be on the small side as others have suggested, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
The cage is bigger than expected, goes together quiet easily, the rats definitely like the new home. On the down side, ramps are a bit slippery for them to walk on and the doors are quite small and having to take extra care when getting them out. All in all, for this price you can’t go wrong.
Need 2 people to put it together… Alot bigger than I expected.. But lovely cage
