If you remember to keep the page count down to 8 as per instructions it works well. Does as it is designed

This is great for small jobs – not too many pages and not a great many copies. 30 copies of a 40 page presentation would be a challenge.

In a home office it allows me to open a document brief to insert additional pages and to assemble a tidy document compendium or two for my own use. If I need more, I can go to the office where there is heavy duty gear which can handle the big jobs (size and number of copies) but this unit is very handy for the many little jobs which allows me to avoid going downtown any more than is necessary.

This machine was easy to use and is very sturdy. Great way to organize manuals and loose/staples documents. I purchased covers and other size binding combs separately. It is perfect for home, school or small office needs.

No where in the instructions does it talk about setting the margins. The margin adjustment is on back of the machine and easily overlooked. This should be in the operating instructions.

It works and does what it says, but it frustrating when trying to bind the paper through the rings. It’s not as easy as it looks. You’ll need to do it a few pages at a time.

Used it for making song books. The machine says maximum sheets to punch at a time is 12. That seems to put quite a strain on it, so I punch about 5 or 6 at a time. So it takes a little longer to do projects. The mechanism to open the ring binders works well once you get the hang of it. It’s a good product for home and hobby use, maybe not for heavy duty use in an office.

I should have spent more money to get a better product. I have used these before and this one is not of a similar quality. I make booklets and use laminate sheets as a cover. This binding machine will not cut through clear plastic laminate. What a waste of money.

I watched the video on how to use this product because I never used one before. I highly recommend doing that if you have no experience with this product either. This has been a game-changer for my homeschool I would highly recommend this and have recommended this to a lot of my friends and family.

Thankful for this device. I have constantly been let down by a big corporate copy store when it comes to making booklets or copies. I run a small business so I decided to take matters into my own hands. This makes it quick and simple! Gives a great presentation and is more cost effective than trusting a company to do it!

The product itself is great but when you go up to 13 sheets it’s kind of difficult and you need a lot of force to get all 12 sheets punched. Also, getting the spirals in just right can be difficult but nothing too serious.

I bought this to create 25- 30 page booklets I was using for a training I was giving. It came fast, was easy to set up, understand, and worked exactly as I expected. I made my books with zero problems and was grateful that they included the exact size of combs I needed for my booklets. Only adjustment was to snip off a little of each comb (after binding the books) cause they were a bit too long – easy peasy. So grateful when things flow!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAs a teacher, I frequently laminate and comb bind student work to make class books. When our comb binder at school refused to punch through one hole, I decided to bite the bullet and buy my own. This machine was affordable, and other reviews made me think it would perform well enough. It did great, even punching through lamination. Of course, it also punches through regular paper too, but I feel like the ability to punch through lamination is what really sets it apart.

It’s lightweight, and although the handle does stick out, it’s easy enough to store on the top shelf of a shelving unit until it’s needed.

The only downside is that the tray that collects the punches seems to not sit flush with the base (or something), so whenever I pick it up, there are little rectangles that get left behind. For me, that’s not a deal-breaker, and wasn’t enough for me to deduct a star.

One word of advice: If you start punching pages on one machine, you really should finish on the same machine. In my situation, I started with the machine at school, but made the switch to this one halfway through. The holes didn’t line up, which resulted in me cutting off about half an inch from the left margin and repunching all the pages using one machine.

I had to order it twice in order to get it, it was lost by the carrier first time. But once it arrived it was well worth the wait! The only negative i can come up with at this point is that the Binding Combs that come with the machine need to be cut down to size for letter size paper. I will get plenty of use out of this machine for sure!

  26. Anonymous says:

I love how simple this machine is. The setup was one thumbscrew to attach the arm and I was off. I cranked out 12 booklets in just a few minutes with zero issues. I did find that it was best to punch through the front and back heavyweight covers first and then my 10 sheets of copy paper next before attaching the comb spine. Plus, the easy to set edge guide meant perfect alignment every time. I’ve saved a ton of money already!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersIt was easier loading the combs with sheets than I thought, The combs are made long so trimming them with scissors give them a finished look.

A few lessons learned when using this at 4AM to make 4 books due in a few hours. 1. It has trouble punching through 4 sheets of acetate. Although it can maybe punch 12 sheets of paper, the acetate can make the machine jam and then it will be difficult to get it unstuck.

    2. Practice on spare sheets to get the alignment perfect. Sheets need to be square and held firmly against the back for any shift results in misalignment. The machine worked fine on card stock backers for the booklets I was binding.

    3. be careful not to bunny ear any sheets when sliding them into the machine. It’s sometimes difficult to see what’s going on so you have to “feel” if the sheets are all laying flat.

Once I got the hang of it, it works great and the books turn out fine. I prefer spiral bound, but this was way more budget friendly.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m using this to bind things for homeschooling purposes. It works well for this purpose. It is simple to use, and like advertise, comes with 100 binding combs to get you started (or last the rest of your life). The only downsides are that the holes aren’t perfectly straight across the top of the page (which might matter if this is for professional use), and you do have to set it on the edge of the table to punch holes, as the arm goes fully underneath a table surface as you pull it down. I’m not sure if this is standard for these types of machines or not, but that is a little annoying. Otherwise, this does the job I need it for and is affordable!

didn’t do two laminated sheets well so can only do one of those at a time. also, was difficult to keep handle from going too far forward or back with the different functions. wish the handle would store downward and not sticking straight up. I like the alignment base which another I use doesn’t have. Serves it’s purpose.

Does what it says it does, easy to assemble and they fixed the issues that people previously mentioned in their reviews — the one where the handle mechanism was bending due to poor craftsmanship. It doesn’t even resemble the same metal piece.

Worked well punching 413 pages for me, no problems.

I gave it one star less due to the stiffness of the machine, its like it needs something to make it run a little smoother but it doesn’t effect the overall use of the machine.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersOur first binding machine and it works great. Seems to be a great value. Our only issue is we were unaware that you can only do 12 pages at a time. I didn’t think about it much when ordering, but I guess I thought 450 seemed impossible to put a hole in at once and it is, but you can put 450 pages in a binder comb at a time. Not the ones they send, those seem to be only good for 20 pages or so, but if you order some really big binding combs you can do 450 pages.

I bought this to replace a light-use binding unit that died on me, since I bind the books I put together for my private music students. This is a much better machine than that one, and cost about the same.

It is not nearly as sturdy as the heavy-duty one our office purchased years ago to bind thousands of booklets containing 100+ pages. However, that one also cost hundreds of dollars more.

I’ve had no problems making comb-bound booklets with 8.5×11 (US letter) pages. Use the included cardboard sheet to do 6-8 test punches to clean the grease from the teeth. Slide the red size selector to the far left and ~10 pages punch easily. The teeth holes line up nicely within the 8.5″ page length and all you need to do is trim the comb on the end (it is designed for 21 holes). The included 3/8″ comb binders can hold about 20 pages if you are patient. The only caution I have is to only punch 1 sheet of clear plastic presentation covers at a time. The plastic is gummy enough that the teeth won’t cut two or more at a time. One at a time, it works fine. I cut a full box of 100 plastic cover pages to test this unit before moving onto paper (10 sheets at a time). Very pleased with the value for money.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI was a little worried initially, a couple of the combs were bent when I took the unit out of the box, but I was able to bend them back with my hand.

Otherwise, I followed the instructions to punch at least 7 sets of holes in the cardboard that came with the unit to remove the manufacturing oil. I did about 10 sets to be safe.

I quickly punched and bound a PDF manual I printed off a couple weeks ago using the 19 hole setting for 8.11 x 11 sized paper and voila. Worked perfectly.

The density/weight/thickness/composition of the paper will determine how many sheets you can punch. I’d say maybe 10-11 sheets at 20 weight max per punch (to be safe & not break anything) and it goes down from there as the weight increases. You can certainly punch cardstock and 10 mil lamination, I punched 10 mil laminated 40 weight cardstock without issue but you’ll be punching one page at a time.

The handle is easily removed for storage and the spacing appears equal with the punch and comb. All in all for household and light office/school use this is a fine machine.

The housing is plastic but mechanically inside when I took a peek, everything appeared to be metal. So with care and not over exertion, this machine should last.

Just to stress, this is not a high capacity, high volume office unit, this is a home/small office/light school use binding machine, it’s great for small projects and light/occasional use but if you’re going to be putting together dozens of books a day or want to punch 40 or 100 sheets at a time, don’t get this.

    I highly recommend this unit.

    Value for money

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our Userso be honest. its a good product. it does the work you desire to. but the quality isn’t the best as you expect. it won’t stable more than 15 sheet of paper. the gap where you insert paper is very small so that it extend your work. Sturdiness i only give 3 stars because when you try to stable as much paper at once, and when you push down the hand bar, it doesn’t stand stable. The other side of machine comes up as you apply force to the opposite side. so you have to use both hands to hold down both sides when you use it.
as for value, I will only give 4 stars because based on the quality I can only pay $25 for the item. not $50.

For sturdy I rated a 3 star because so light weight it moves when trying to use it. I fastened it to wood and stopped that issue. I want mine to last so I’m not overloading it. What I’m punching is laminated so one at a time. It bound up on two sheets laminated. One sheet at a time punched 800 pages without a hitch. Excellent product for price.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThe binding machine was delivered quickly and packaged very well with foam inserts. Feels very robust and like it will last a long while with metal parts. Punches through a good amount of sheets at a time too. worth it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a good binding machine for its price.
I work in an office that binds A LOT. I purchased this machine as a back up, as last week I monopolized our main machine to do 30,000 pages.

This machine would be great for an office (or home, or wherever) that needs to bind materials every now and then, or has smaller books to bind.

I’ve used the machine for the last two days, and I’m very happy with my purchase.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersEasy to use. Sturdy Machine. Great Value. Seen ones in the store for double the price of this one and the binding combs cost 20.00+ for 100pcs. This machine comes with 100 PCS 3/8” PVC Comb Bindings. I did a 157-page book in no time. Saved money and Gas doing it myself. Stores charge a pretty penny to bind papers for you.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI was looking for a binder that I could use to bind documents at home and for my local charity.
I saw this on this website . I dont know or was not advised as to the correct binder to purchase as this is my first time.
    When it arrived;
    1. I was shocked that it was so light – this is good for me,
    2. The instructions were so easy to follow.
    3. The price is so affordable.

    Thank you amazon!!!!!!!!!

We do a lot of reporting, so this comes in very handy. Its easy to use, the report can be in decent thickness. Comes with the black binder which is awesome. Makes my reports look very professional

And that little knob used to adjust the width, I think it’s better explained to say it determines how many holes will be at the top. I had to adjust cause it punched over the sides of the paper. I also did a few practice runs with scratch paper before I punched my calendars. I punched 30 calendars with absolutely no problem. I even checked the gear/lever after, it was fine. Overall good product.

We bought this for work since our old one broke. Even this is a manual machine it still works very well. I received it within three day, it was packaged nicely with no damage. Only thing you have to attach to get started is the handle which is all metal of some kind. It comes with 100 combs with is really nice so you don’t have to buy any right away. we had it up and running within two minutes and have made over 30 items so far with no problem.

The binding machine is quite helpful for filling as long as you get used to the operation. Great value with the box of bindings, it could use for a long time. Good design also margins setting. It is highly recommended.

I liked the machine so far, no complaints so far. It took care if my requirements will paperwork. It allows to slide legal size paper , of course doesn’t punch the full length of legal size paper.

It turned out to be a much better product than the Swingline GBC Binding Machine and at a very reasonable price.

Most convenient binding machine for a large workload, a very strong dual handle which are also long enough to provide sufficient leverage. Easy to use and quite a weight, the instruction include images so easy to undersatnd, however i did find it difficult, but managed to used it in the end.

Useful. Too much document need to be filed properly. Just in time for filing.
