Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have several Makita tools and when our Bosch mower packed in, I bought this.
It is way better than the Bosch, powerful, well made and cuts very well. One charge of 5 amp/hr batteries does our very large garden/field.

Easy to assemble, cut two lawns with three bars left on the batteries. Great cutting height selection. It’s a bit on the heavy side, but overall the best mower I have purchased.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt’s excellent quality, and the 5 amp Makita batteries it uses are powerful and last for a very long time. Much better than my admittedly very old Bosch cordless mower. It whizzes through my moderately large lawns in no time. It is quite long and not particularly easy to get in and out of my garage. The grass cut length selector is very easy to use and the best I’ve seen.

Only just used it and if that’s anything to by another super machine from Makita. Most of my cordless tools are Makita so I have plenty of LTX batteries which interchange. Super bit of kit in my opinio

Bought this for my husband as his other one died on him, no need to order batteries or charger as we already had these for other tools
This mower is an absolute monster he loves it, so easy to assemble and also compact when storing, best money I’ve spent so glad I ordered this, am sure this will last a very long time

Works very well, easy to use and
    has added safety features, very
    Pleased with my first battery
mower, only criticism is it is
heavier than I thought it would be.

I’m already a Makita tool user, this was a simple progression of the system, first cut of the year was ok, simply set to max height, then go lower, no cables – no worries

Easy to assemble. Feels and looks robust. Which is as one should expect from Makita. Got to use it this weekend. Grass was still quite wet but on a high cut length it coped very well indeed. I used the mulch fitting which worked well also. So no grass to collect, no lead to manipulate, no fuel… Great cut in quick time. Very happy customer here.

Only been able to use a couple of time so far due to the weather. However did the job neatly with a good cut even though a bit wet. Collected all the cuttings and left no mess.
Only downside was the mower had been previously unpacked and the parts were rolling around in the box when delivered.

Needed a new mower and having used the 43cm version this model was a no brainer, especially as i’m a Makita man and already loaded up with batteries.
It makes cutting the lawns a cinch now. Good accurate cut with a large range of adjustment for length. Hardly bothers the batteries.
    Highly recommended.

Bought this for my wife to use.
She is very happy with how light and easy to use it is. We don’t have a lot of grass so battery life will be hard to guess at the moment. As I already have Makita tools , I also have spare 5.0amp batteries for her to use.

Decided to go for this lawnmower because I already own Makita tools plus charging station and 5mha batteries. So it made scenes getting this. I’d say i have an average size garden and small patch of grass out the front and it cuts no problem and only uses about 50% battery. I can get 2 cuts out of it before it needs a charge.

I’ve always had petrol until now and I don’t miss having to prime up and pull about 20 times once winter has been . I press one button and hold leaver up. Easy.

Height adjustment is so easy as it does the whole chassis.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAs usual for Makita products, it appears to be well made and thankfully uses the standard Makita style batteries. I was lucky that I have a number of batteries I use on other Makita products otherwise the cost of the mower and the requirement for TWO batteries would have made this a very expensive purchase. With the box on the back it isn’t the most manoeuvrable of mowers and doesn’t go right up to the d=edges so you need some for of strimmer or you will have to kneel down with a pair of shears. The various height levels are extremely useful and very easy to adjust. I have now used it on varying heights of grass and it cuts pretty well. The grass box is easy to fit and remove. Overall not a bad product, just beware if you need to buy batteries as well

The Makita lawnmower is great value if you already own a couple of Makita batteries and charger. The batteries are interchangeable with other Makita garden products, including the Makita strimmer that I already own.
However, this is probably not suitable for larger lawns and very long grass as the grass catcher fills up quickly and the two batteries only hold enough charge to cut one small lawn until they run out.
It’s OK for me as my lawn is not massive and the smaller dimensions make the mower easy to move and store.
Build quality seems to be high with no problems to report.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought to replace my old petrol mower that died. I already have Makita batteries for 6 other tools so took a chance as I like the build and performance quality Makita offers. I have used it more than 10 times now on my lawn and my Son’s and it is a pleasure to use. The height adjustment is easy and the machine is light (16kg) and easy to maneuver with roller bearings on all 4 wheels. The 380mm cutting width is quite generous for a machine of this size and it cuts to within 15mm of the edge of the body. Battery performance seems really good given the power it produces and I have cut 3 x 70m squared lawns on one charge with the 5Ah batteries indicating around 50% charge left and taking 40mins each to charge back to 100%. Battery insertion/replacement is easy. The grass box (Bag) is easy to attach and remove and is quite generous, only emptying twice on a 70m2 lawn. There is a mulching plug available for this machine but I have no intention of using one. I have remembered to register it for the 3-year warranty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Impressed

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI always wanted to go cordless on my power tools and am glad that I did. Bought this mower based on positive reviews. The first one ( not from this supplier ) lasted a few seconds before it jammed. Returned item but got the same item from a faster supplier. Very happy with the product.

With the 5amp battery, able to cut my front and back lawn with 50% charge left. My combine lawn is approx 100m2. Total freedom without the lead and really good value if you already have the batteries. Can’t fault it at all.

Simple to put together just the right size for my garden does the job very well, we will never use a corded mower a gain just takes the hard work out of cutting the grass

This is a really good mower. Its so quiet, I was actually shocked how silent it is.

Build quality feels (as all makita tools do) really great. Sturdy and not plasticy at all.

Power felt really good when im using it. I dont see the complaints of it being underpowered – I imagine it may be a fault in either the machine or the user.
Its a cordless mower not a brush cutter. If people are trying to cut down 2ft high grass and complaining its underpowered its a user error.
For your standard family lawn you will be impressed.

    Would I buy again. 100%

Nicht so viel Kraft wie ein Mher mit Kabel. Man sollte also schon mindestens einmal die Woche mhen. Oder man muss des fteren die Akkus laden. Unser Garten hat keine 100m2.
