Wanted an air purifier that could be moved from room to room easily. This model is compact and very easy to move. It also puts out cool air so we have used it on hot days to cool a room, or an individual, down. First two speeds are very quiet and third is quite noisy so we only use it when not in the room.
Bonsoir,j’ai achet ce produit et je n’ai plus le mode d’emploi, esque cela serait possible de m’envoyer un mode d’emploi, merci et Bonne soire
I use to wake up in the middle of the night coughing up mucus or coughing in general.
I no longer do this anymore. I thought it was just something I had to live with forever & didn’t know something so simple like an air purifier would help.
The air is more crisp & less dusty. I love this brand. Easy to clean & not expensive to replace the filters when needed.
The difference between the home theater room and the living room in the amount of dog hair we were seeing was a huge difference. The main floor where this second unit sits has more square footage than the basement area where the home theater is so I noticed that running it on medium (like in the basement) isn’t as effective as the first unit is in the smaller area.
Running it on high does the job, but the fan on high is much louder than on medium.
It does a great job and I know from the purchase of the first unit that the filters last a long time if you remember to clean the pre filters once a month. This is in a home with two long hair dogs.
I purchased the higher rated filters for smoke assuming that they would help more with the dog hair. So far it seems like my hunch was right.
Slow mode is fine but the fast one it’s quite noicy. Like the fan over the stove
I would recommend this product.
For this unit and assembly and tried it out. Fan wouldn’t turn. Turns out during fabrication, they forgot to remove a little piece of tape to keep it from spinning. After taking it apart (not hard to do) and removing the tape, it worked as expected. Easy fix luckily.
Likes: very quiet in general unless on full on. But to be expected as it really gets the air circulating and definitely clears up a dusty room or odpurous room quicky. We leave this unit on in my child’s room 24/7. It really helps with removing the dirty diaper smell and find it helps her sleep during heavy pollen seasons. We’ve also noticed less mold growth on windows when condensation occurs. The HEPA filters seem to do a great job (yes there are 2 of them, 1 for each intake). The child lock is very handy too.
Dislikes: very minor dislike is dimming lights on this unit isn’t complete. There is still a green light on and even though it isn’t bright, I would still like to have it go off. Also, to use any functions, you have to press that green light to reveal the controls. It would be nice to have it turn off like a smartphone screen and then when you touch the units control panel, it lights up.
If it came fully working, I’d give 5 stars as I shouldn’t have to fix it. I could’ve returned it and it probably would’ve ended up in landfill while I wait for another one (lose-lose).
1. Have 1 in each room with closed doors & windows
2. Keep away from kitchen or bathroom (high smoke & humidity is bad for air purifiers)
3. Place the purifiers on an elevated space, like on a table or stand. The elevation helps it come into contact with circulating air better. For the same reason, avoid putting it in a corner next to walls. You won’t get the best results.
4. Once a month, remove the 2 filters & vacuum each one with a brush attachment.
5. Replace filters 2x-3x/year (as instructed in the manual).
This is probably OK for smaller rooms and wish I had bought the more powerful set. My grandson has asthma and Allergies and I wanted a really good one for his bedroom. His BD approximately 11’X11′ but the ceiling is really high so it takes longer to circulate and purify the air. The unit it self seem well made and would fit in with most any decor.
Excellent air purifier. Really does work – no more smells in the garage.
I bought this a few months ago and it said frequently bought together and replacement filters were there. So I bought the replacement filters and I’ve come to actually replace them and these filter are way too big? I’m unsure where to get the right filters from and annoyed I wasted money on the wrong ones which I was prompted to do!
This dang unit doesn’t tell you when your filters are bad! I hate it. My Hone**ell tower is so good at reminding me it’s time to replace filters. I had filters in this Medify forever expecting it to tell me when they needed to be replaced. Lol Obviously user error, but this sht isn’t cheap, add a filter function!
I have a noise machine in my bedroom, but my husband loves this for the same, in the living room. His snore room The sound is calming. The fan blows pretty good too. Any time someone is sick we crank this up and leave it running for days.
It seems to catch a lot of dust by the look of the filters, but for some reason there is always dust around it too. On top, and on the furniture beside it. But the air in my living room seems fresher.
Here are the PROS IMO:
1. Filters are super easy to clean and change – the covers easily pinch to pull off (though would not be easy for a small kid to do) and the filers have a tab to pull out. I vacuum the layer of dust that collect on the outside of the filter, then change every 6-12 months). The outer cover can also easily be cleaned with plain soap and water since it is 100% removable.
2. Sound / speeds – there are 3 speeds on this unit. The first level is almost totally silent yet you can still feel a slight breeze from the output. the second is what I would describe as a light fan sound. The third speed is definitely louder and output stronger so we use it when cooking / cleaning or need to purify the entire room quickly for guests. What I do like about the 3rd setting is that it creates a good “white noise” for sleeping and drowns out “city noise” and other background noise.
3. Portable – this unit is light weight and easy to carry from room to room. We transfer it to the kids rooms when they have friends over then back to the kitchen area when cooking, then to the bedroom at night.
4. Cost – this was less expensive than many other comparable units that cover large rooms
5. Style – this has a nice, clean, modern style that can blend into any room.
CONS
well, none yet! If there was an additional feature I would like to see it would be a sensor of just how clean the air is.
I highly recommend this unit!
My biggest criticism is of Amazon and its pricing. When I went to reorder the second unit, the price for the white model had increased by $80. So, I ordered the black model at the original price. One week after the black model arrived, the Amazon price for the black model had returned to its original level. That’s not a big issue for me, although I would have ordered both units in white, by why the pricing trickery?
Comes with a complete set of filters (two), although I initially installed them wrong-way around. White side (not grey side) of the filters should show when installed.
Regardless, it ran just great with the filters installed backwards, and it also runs just great when properly assembled. Presumably, the filtration is better or more long-lasting when done correctly. Well. Details.
I forget what I paid for this thing. I don’t care — it’s great. There are three speeds. Slow is just BARELY audible when I’m next to it and there’s nothing else going one. Fast is noisy and moves enough air to make it noticeably cooler in here (small apartment).
I’m going to order a set of filters for standby. I might update this if I find that the filters for some reason seem unduly short-lived. If I do NOT update this, you may conclude that I never saw fit to edit this five-star review.
As soon as Medify found out about the clicking they worked with me to troubleshoot the issue. The product was determined defective and they sent me a pre-paid UPS return shipping label and then sent me a new one. I had it within the week and it works like a dream!
It is quiet, cleans the air of odor and particles, and unobtrusive. The one thing that would make it perfect is if, when I turned it off, the on button didn’t continuously flash. Fortunately, I don’t need it for my bedroom where the flashing would disrupt my sleep.
Initial Review:
After unwrapping the air purifier and first turning it on, I was surprised to hear a clicking sound. I don’t know if it is the fan or some other mechanism, but I’m concerned it could mean something inside the unit is not attached properly. Sometimes the clicking goes away, but it always comes back.
Otherwise, it does what it is supposed to do and I’m glad to have it in my home.
Noise level: very quiet on low settings. I never notice it’s there.
Timer function: works. I wish it were more programmable, but that’s ok.
Maneuverability: icons are simple and intuitive. Nothing special or terribly wrong here. The nice cube-like size makes it fit nicely on a table.
The unit has a timer, but it works like a sleep timer–e.g. run for 30 minutes. The device would much improved if it had an option to run 20 minutes an hour or an hour a day or something. Something to set and forget about, and it’ll just work.
Alternately, an option to run until air quality hits a certain threshold then start again when air quality gets above that threshold. Like a dehumidifier that runs whenever is needed to keep humidity below XX%.
* Within a few days of receiving our unit, it developed a slight rattle. It isn’t lout and you wouldn’t notice except on the lowest setting. The company suggested some things to try with the filters and device, but the rattle seems to be coming from the fan. They offered to replace it, but we’ve pitched the packaging and it is really a big hassle for such a little rattle. I’ll keep this post updated on whether the rattle becomes worse or not.
Medify Medical Filtration Air Purifier
When I placed an order, there was a notification that this item will take longer to be delivered. I received it a few days earlier that the expected delivery date – wonderful! I turn it in the kitchen after cooking. The cooking smell was gone. But the main reason for this purchase is help clean the air in house due to the smell of smoke of the fires – which about an hour or so away. We kept our Windows & doors for days, but we can smell the smoke throughout the house. I ran this on low speed and can only barely hear a hum. On another note, I turned the fan speed to the highest setting (there is also a medium speed). The sound is louder but it is more of an even fan sound, like air blowing. I can fall asleep with this on.
Timer works just fine & turns off silently that I forgot I set the timer on. There is a child lock on top with the other functions, but I don’t need to use it. Lastly, the function buttons need a light touch. It feels touching a digital screen but it isn’t. Overall, it is a pricey purchase but worth it. (After previously purchasing 2 other brand air purifier & replacing it 2 twice before it is a year old. ) I could smell the difference with the Medify.
July 2022 – update. I run this air purifier quite a bit. It still functions normally. On this specific model, there is no indicator to change out the filter. Since I bought it, I changed the filter out probably 1 yr to 1.5 years. I should have checked the filters sooner. There are two filters in one order: one for the front panel and for the back panel of the unit. Lastly, I suggest not to put the air purifier unit flushed against the wall, but away from the wall. I still recommend this air purifier.
For the price, you most likely will not fine something of better quality. The next quality step up will run you into a few hundred dollars.
If you have an office larger then 500 sq feet this may not do the trick. This product is perfect for a small office, bed-room, living-room, or really any small-ish area someone will be spending time in and potentially interacting with others.
Couldn’t afford another IQ system at almost $1k, so researched and found this unit. Was concerned the size may not work in the area used, but it is effective. 3 fan speeds are very nice. Super quick and easy to assemble. Nice control displays on the top – easy to see and operate, but not too bright. Has removed both the smell from the fireplace and other smell that was a problem. Am very pleased with this purchase. Because of the size, I found it very easy to position it where needed. I actually have it on the bottom shelf of a tall, decorative stand (used for displaying plants). This raised it about 10″ off the floor, which I think helps. The improvement has been most noticeable. We are no longer hit with the smells when entering this room. The air smells clean . Not too noisy, but the noise level will increase with the higher fan speed. We keep the unit running non stop. Don’t even notice the sound unless the room has no other sounds. Sound is white noise, which is comforting for some. Yes, we recommend!
Anyways, point is, I know and love my HEPA purifiers. I have 1 in every room, closet and crawl space running on low at 24/7. I was looking for cheaper replacement filters for my 400 series blueairs and I saw that H13 HEPA products are available now. After some research I decided to give this MA-25 a chance.
My initial impression when the box arrived was, unimpressed. I spent $160 and the box was tiny. Like desktop humidifier tiny. It was weighed next to nothing. Needless to say I thought I may have made a mistake. Regardless I unpacked everything, glanced over the paperwork, and plugged it in, in my garage. I already have a winix purifier running in there, but I rehabbed a mold problem in there last month and I wanted to run the new H13 filter along side the winix to make sure any and all particles were captured.
The purifier seemed about half size compared to the winix, but when I turned it on and put it on High, the airflow seemed to exceed that of the much larger winix air purifier. So…… if the filter is truly a super HEPA filter, the purifier itself is tiny and light weight, and the air flow is higher than I guess its a proper upgrade from my $150-$250 winix air purifiers.
My only concern is that it feels flimsy. and the HEPA filters are really really small and thin. I wont remove stars for concerns that haven’t happened yet. As of right now I am hopeful. If you read this review 5 years from now and I haven’t updated it with a horror story then I guess it all worked out.
2 year update: I still have the air filter and its still running strong. I have no reservations about my purchase and will buy another the next time Im in the market for an air purifier.
My husband agreed years ago to foster guinea pigs with me, because I had them as a child and love the sweet little things. All was well for a few years, but about two years ago he started developing allergies to them. Now he deals with sneezing and a plugged nose on the daily. I’ve tried cleaning the cage more often, putting them in another room, putting the hay into a closed container… No dice. I did get an air purifier for our bedroom and it definitely helped, but I realized I needed something for the living room. The problem is that my living room is HUGE – 20 ft x 20 ft! All the air purifiers I looked at were for something smaller. I was so happy when I found this one!
It works like a charm. It’s stupid easy to set up: take it out of the box, plug it in, turn it on, adjust fan speed. Done. I also like that it has the option to set it on a timer to turn off. Best of all – it WORKS. In just a couple days I have noticed a huge difference in the amount of dust motes floating in the air, and my husband’s breathing feels SO much better. On the lower settings it’s practically silent, but the highest setting is very minor and quickly fades into the background. If you’re on the fence – do it! This is a purchase I am super happy with and would gladly buy again!
I’ve never had an air purifier. I picked this one after much research. I have 5 dogs and a cat. I end up with dust on everything and I know it’s going on our lungs too.
I placed this in our living room which is open to our dining room. My entire downstairs/house is quite open. I know this says it works best in a closed room but I am very pleased with it! It is silent on level 1 and barely noticible on level 2. We have it on level 2 when we are watching TV or talking in that room. We move it up to level 3 if we are just sitting in the room or when we aren’t in the room. It does act like a fan so you may need to think about which direction you point it in, especially on level 3! I typically dust my living room once a week but I have to wipe dust off the backs of our leather couches almost daily. I’m happy to say it has been one week since I dusted and the couches barely have anything on them! Upon looking I can see dust on the outside of the filters. I will vacuum it off today. I am so pleased with my purchase that I’m going to get a 2 pack for our bedrooms!
