This cable stripper took me a while to get set up correctly, lots of fiddling and tweaking required to get it set up initially, but once it had been set up i was happy with how well it performed.

Included in the box is a G clamp and two sets of nuts and bolts, i used the nuts and bolts as this provided a much better and secure fit to my workbench than the clamp would have.

Feel like quite a dangerous object to use and of course it certainly must be treated very carefully if you value the ongoing use of your fingers.

It was okay a little hard to use but once I figured out it was really easy to use. But it didn’t come with instructions on how to use it had to go to YouTube to figure it out .

Put together easily and seems sturdy enough, but haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Looking forward to stripping a load of copper wires soon.

Very well built and easy to use. I did order 5 more blades so to have on hand. Great machine. Thanks.

This wire stripper saved me alot of time versus doing it by hand. I like how easy it is to use and that its adjustable to accommodate different wire sizes. I did have to set it up on my work bench but it came with everything I needed to do that too. It feels very heavy duty and should last me a long time as I don’t strip wires everyday. All in all, this is a great tool and I would definitely recommend it.

So I had some problems with this wire stripper but after a few emails with their customer service I was able to get the stripper set up to do most of my wire stripping needs. And they are going to send me replacement blades for the ones that are broken.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI needed a wire stripper because I have started working on older motorcycles and cars. Many times the wires on these vehicles have corroded, broke or have been jury-rigged that they are unusable. This item allows me to get exact lengths and have the wires just like I want them.

I like having even lengths of wire and exposed with. I also hate when I use a hand tool I never get the right length or end of damaging the wire. This tool allows me to get exactly what I want when I want it.

Setup takes a bit and you will have to fiddle around a while to get exactly what you want but you will get there. Take your time and you will be set up in no time.

I like this tool. It isn’t prefect but it is good for what I want. My wires are exactly how I want them each time. I don’t have to worry about cutting things over and over until I am happy. This thing works for me.

After some assembly, we got the wire stripper put together and ready to use. It is manufactured with quality materials and is nice and sturdy. When it came to stripping the wire it took me a minute or so to get my groove down and a very small amount of trial and error and then it was smooth sailing. I was actually a little shocked as to how much it helped and cut my usual amount of time in half at least. Well worth it, this is a great product that will save you time you can use doing something you love.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had a bunch of 14 gauge solid core wire that I wanted to strip in order to use the copper for an art project. Trying to strip the wire by traditional means was an absolute nightmare, so I got this contraption.

It really doesn’t take too long to set this gadget up. After you carefully center the rollers to the cutters, then adjust the height of the cutters with a piece of wire in the roller, you’re ready to strip as much as you want. The cutters tilt out of the way allowing you to very quickly put new wire in. It took only minutes to strip my first 30 foot test batch of wire, and I think it’d be faster with some further tweaking.

The only downside is in order to ensure you get a complete cut through the wire’s jacket, the blade needs to cut into the copper itself somewhat. This would not be an issue for stranded wire, but for the solid core it definitely leaves a visible mark which may not make it suitable for your final application.

    The Good:
    -Easy setup
-Clamp provided, you just need a solid base to clamp it to
-Works for both solid core and stranded, but probably best for stranded
-Very quick loading of wire due to tilt mechanism
-Extra replacement blades (3 extra for 6 total) provided
-3 rollers and blades so you could strip 3 at once if you were so inclined. Not recommended for solid core where you have to baby it a little more to ensure alignment.

    The Bad:
-Does not work well for flat wire like romex. It prefers round wire.
-The rollers are not perfectly centered or round which causes slight variations in blade depth as you pull through
-Leaves a mark on solid core wire
-Not appropriate for very small gauge wire, but 14ga was no problem.

Works, but Not Great For Solid Core

I had hopes of finding an easy way to strip down 150 pounds of 24 gauge solid strand wire that has been removed from ballasts I’ve swapped out over the years unfortunately this does not like working on anything that small. It worked well on pretty much everything but the ballast wires so its just the limits of the machine. Set up is a pain but if you have a little time and a whole lot of wire it is totally worth it!
