This is easily the best kit I have found to do this job. It is made of very substantial materials and is not cheap feeling/looking in any way. I actually paid less for this than other ones that were of totally inferior manufacturing. If you need a GoPro mount for your bicycle/motorbike handlebars look no further. Miles better than even the official GoPro official fat mount.

Purchased this to see how it compares to the Ram Mount line of mounts. Found it to be just as solid and of reasonable quality.

Very supprised at the build quality of this item.
I noticed in a video that this is the make that Insta 360 cameras supply with their product, …for obvious reasons.
There are a lot of inferior copies of this item on the market.

This Camera Mount Clamp from Osopro arrived in a plain brown unbranded cardboard box. Inside was a sheet of instructions, along with all the parts of the clamps separated into sealed plastic bags.

You need to assemble the clamp yourself. All the parts (with the exception of the GoPro mount) are made of metal and feel well made. The instructions are in Chinese, however the diagram is clear enough that this shouldn’t be a problem. Assembling the mount was a little fiddly, but on the whole fairly straight forward to achieve.

It’s hard to give dimensions due to the design and purpose of the mount. If everything is lined up straight then the distance from the centre of the bar you are attaching it to, to the GoPro mount is approximately 18cm.

This clamps has two ball heads at either end, which are tightened or loosened by a single large wing nut. Due to the spring configuration, the ball head that attaches to the camera loosens much sooner than the one attached to the bike, making it possible to move the camera whilst still keeping the clamp fairly tight on the bar, even though you are using a single nut to tighten them. When tightened, both ball heads do a fantastic job of securing the clamp rock steady..

The clamp can be attached to bars that are between approximately 1.7cm to 3.7cm in diameter. They have a rubber lining to help them grip onto whatever they are being clamped to.

Whilst the clamp works perfectly fine, there are a couple things I did not like so much. Firstly the jaws do not open wider as you unscrew them. They are left just loose, which makes it a little less inconvenient to use. Secondly the jaws clamp together at their ends, which means they can not clamp onto smaller bars. Had they been designed to interlock, with ‘teeth’ at the end instead of a straight edge, then they could clamp onto even smaller bars which would have been more versatile. However, neither of these issues are negatives as such, especially as the description specifically mentions the range of bar sizes the clamp can be used on, they are just personal niggles.

At the opposite end to the clamp is a 3cm wide hexagonal plate, with a standard 1/4″ metal screw thread in the centre, which can be used for attaching the Go-Pro mount, a different mount, or any other piece of equipment with a 1/4″ socket. There is a rubber pad on the plate to help grip and protect anything you attach to it. The included GoPro/Action cam mount is made mainly of strong plastic and fits nicely on the plate.

In conclusion, this mount is built of solid parts, is easy to assemble and works well at holding the camera in place. The design of the ball and sockets provide a rock solid grip. And the wing nuts used to tighten and loosen both the two ball heads and the clamp itself are easy to use, even when wearing gloves. Having a 1/4″ thread as well as the GoPro/Action Cam Mount, makes the clamp very versatile, and allows it to be used for many other applications other than on a motorbike.

All in all, I highly recommend this mount.

Excellent clamp for my gopro and insta360. Doesn’t move and can point camera in any direction. Feels well made and looks like it’s gonna last.

This is a big and fairly heavy mount. It also comes in pieces and you have to assemble it. But that’s the end of cons – the rest are pros only.

It’s stored in 3 bags and has a lot of parts. Luckily the installation is fairly straightforward – I didn’t need any instructions even though they were attached. It consists of 3 parts: the bike/pipe mount, the middle part allowing for positioning in almost every way possible, and a standard GoPro mount.
All parts but the camera mount are very robustly made. There’s a lot of metal and solid plastic involved. The bike clasp is heavy duty, with a decent 3.7cm max diameter. It should fit even really thick rails. The ball heads look a bit like golf balls – and it works perfectly for the grip. Because there are two, the whole mount is so flexible, you can mount it virtually anywhere in the bike (and any other constructions that have rails) and set angle the way you like. Very versatile.
The camera mount is not fixed which is amazing. It has a standard ” screw thread – you can attach a DSLR to it or any other photographic equipment. But of course you also have the dedicated GoPro mount. It’s not as good quality as the rest of the device, but it’s ok.

I have to say initially when I took everything out of the bags, I thought to myself: what the hell is all this??? But then once assembled, I realized I’m holding a really good bike camera mount in my hand. It is a bit heavy – yes, but it should last for a very long time. 20 is a good price here and I’m definitely recommending this item.
Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.

Very solid bike mount, a bit heavy, good price

Review of “OsoPro Camera Mount Clamp”

I wanted a tripod mount for my cycle. So I could record my journey and put them on social media.

    Quality
The components are generally well made. Solid good strong metal. It does feel like quality when holding in my hands. It is heavy due to weight of the product.

    Assembly
When I received this it came in pieces. I was daunted by all the bits and pieces and that it needed assembly. The instruction leaflet was in Chinese. However, do look at the assembly photos on Amazon website to show how to put it together. (it looses 1 star due to the instruction. However the quality if 5 stars)

    Bracket
The main bracket is made of metal. The bracket does the job of holding to what ever part of the cycle you want to attach it to.

    GoPro & Smartphone mount
It has a mount for GoPro series. It also has a mount for a regular tripod. So i used this tripod attachment to add a smartphone phone (not included). Of course my smartphone phone does not have too much image stabilisation such as the GoPro). It is great for streaming your journey to friends.

    Great to record your journeys

I liked this more than I expected I would.
The grip on my bike handlebar is very good, but I am able to losen it up and change the angle realtively easy while riding.
This is also the case for the top section, meaning I can change the angle and position of the camera while riding so it points forward, towards me or 90 degree so to film my wife pedalling on the other side of the road.
For making videos, it makes things much easier and help coming up with varied footage.

It is also possible to attach it elsewhere, for instance for filming from wheel level, or one can attach it to the seat stem to film backward (useful for instance to film my family riding).

The only tricky bit was to assemble it. There is a strong spring between the two center sections, they are held together with a long bolt, a nut on the other side, and two washers on the nut side. Check the diagrams for the washers order (it is all chinese, but the drawings are clear enough albeit small).

Besides that, the size with my action cam on is not much more than a small selfie stick when folded, and it all fits in my bike handlebar bag without disassembling anything.
Materials are metal and very sturdy plastic, it feels durable.

    Very happy indeed.

Very versatile and useful when biking

I usually test stuff for one to two weeks before writing a review, but I was so impressed by this clamp that I’m happy to recommend it after just a few days of use.

I’ve tried two or three similar style of clamps before, but this is by far the most robust, versatile and capable that I’ve seen. Primarily I’d say this is for two reasons, it uses a lot of metal, and because of the fabulous “golf ball” design on the mounts. When the large thumb screw is tightened, the side bars grip on to the dimpled balls at each end really well, so well that it’s pretty much impossible to move them. The large mount clamp will fit a wide range of diameters of tube, it’s at home on my land yacht as it is on my cycle.

From a directional perspective it’s also really versatile, and can be easily adjusted to point it pretty much any angle you choose, and mount the camera in a higher or wider position depending on your recording preference.

There were two minor downsides. The first is that it arrives needing assembly, a bit fiddly but once done it’s done, and there’s no need to assemble again. The second is that the GoPro plastic mounting head isn’t up to the same quality as the rest of the mount, and indeed I managed to brake it due to overtightening (see photo). This was not an issue for me as I have plenty of these from previous kits and purchases, but I’d have liked to see it made in the same robust quality as everything else.

This is easily the best clamp I’ve had for mounting my GoPro and at 20 is worth every penny.

Extremely solid, robust and doesn't move in use, well worth the money

I use this mount on my race karts to watch replays after races and practice sessions. It barely moves or shifts after 20 min sessions
