Easy to assemble. Comfortable and looks great in the garden.
The instructions were really clear for set up, it took me 2 hours on my own to assemble. The seat is really comfy and from the video you can see how much a drink rocks when on the table at full rock. I’m chuffed with this purchase!
Don’t try assembly on your own unless you’re confident. A battery drill is a good option to assembly. When you have finished it you will be well satisfied. Rocks lovely.
My husband found it easy to assemble, but he’s very good at that sort of thing! It’s very comfortable and feels sturdy. Delivery was well ahead of schedule, it arrived the next day. Only downside is it says the glass table in the middle could shatter in very hot temperatures – why not make it in a material which doesn’t shatter?!
Overall very pleased tho.
Easy to assemble and sturdy. Suits sitting on a concrete base rather than grass (even with cups added underneath still sinks into the ground).
Excellent product looks good and comfortable leave fittings loose until main long bars are o
Great seat. Easily assembled if you follow the instructions properly. I would advise it as a two person job though.
Just be aware that the glass gets hot in direct sun. Having said that I would thoroughly recommend this seat.
They are lovely to sit on look lovely. But putting them together was definitely not easy.
Super garden swing, one instruction not clear but easily sorted.
I am no novice at self assembly but this is the most awkward thing I have ever assembled. It took hours and a lot of frustration along the way. However, the finished seat is very nice indeed. Good looking and comfortable.
I am very happy with this my garden seat it’s cosy to sit in so would buy from this company agai
Super gatden vench, quite easy to fall asleep with the gentle rocking motio
This was a wedding anniversary gift and they were over the moon with i
Very impressed with this bench. We bought it to replace out battered swing seat as we never used the canopy. This is a great alternative, very sturdy. Well packed, delivered 5 days earlier than predicted, just in time for hot weather. Instructions clear, items labelled and screw pack clearly labelled, although there was a letter mix up. It was still easy to follow and build. You can still place the drinks on the table, whilst it is rocking.
Very nice bench. There was a manufacturing fault on our first order but MH Star were thorough in sorting this ou
It was quite hard to put together as some of the bolts are very near the frame . But once it is put together it’s lively. Pretty comfortable although you can forget there is a metal bar at skull height when you’ve had one to many, two bumps to prove it .
It’s nice to have the table to put a few nibbles on while you’re enjoying the glide .
Very sturdy but quite difficult to assemble, not one for people who are useless at diy
This item is great, It must be on a level surface. It did have a few marks on it when it arrived but I kept it.
Nice piece of outdoor furniture. Do not glide with a drink on the table as the table glides too !
Put it together on my own in around 2 and half hour.
Great product, looks stylish, well made.
Easy to follow instructions.
This is my second purchase of one of these swing benches and on this occasion the bench arrived undamaged unlike the first one that I purchased a year ago which had dents and scratches and I still standby my first review when I stated that better packaging is required.
Assembly isn’t overly difficult, mine was assembled in approximately 35 minutes. On this one and something that wasn’t on the last one is a sticker on the glass centre table stating that the glass can shatter if it gets too hot so should therefore be covered, so why do they manufacture it using black glass given that its designed to be used outdoors in the sunshine? Anyway I got round it by purchasing some white stick on vinyl and it looks OK and now shouldn’t heat up, but it still seems bonkers to me as to why they would use dark glass to start with. I used to find on my last one that the glass got quite hot and would burn my arm when resting on it if I wasn’t careful. Anyway it shouldn’t put anyone off buying it but just be mindful that unless you cover it it will get hot in direct sunlight and especially if you have young children using it. As regards the bench going rusty it didn’t happen with the previous one which was left uncovered all year round and was only replaced because one of the welds on the seat base gave way so hopefully this one won’t rust either. A bit of advice would be to spray all the nuts and bolts with a little WD40 once assembled and that does help by creating a barrier on the joints, it worked for me on the last one so I’ve done it again on this new one. Overall I think it’s a good quality bench and certainly comfortable and given its price a bit of a bargain especially when you see the price of timber one’s these days.
Happy with it. But instructions poorly drawn and printed on blotting paper. Why do these people not use digital photography
Firstly I agree with many other reviewers regarding the lack of quality of the assembly instructions, in fact I can honestly say that a large chunk of the assembly time went on trying to decipher them. I would urge the manufacturers to look at these again as if we are to rely on pictorial instructions then these should be clear. In terms of the parts I found some to be distorted which made assembly difficult particularly around the table section, I did have to buy longer bolts to complete this part and it took the most amount of time. Having said all that I have purchased a swing chair which appears to be good value but only time will tell if it is robust and fit for purpose and, as we head into winter I won’t find that out until next year.
Lovely seats bit took 2/3 hours putting it up.
I noticed damage to one of the supporting bars which bent it slightly out of shape. We were worried that ot would interfere with rocking bit seems to be ok for now. I need to wait and see if anything happens.so is my only reason for 4 star and not 5 as very happy with the movement and look.
poor instructions, important not to mix up L H& RH Arms they have bolts on the inside to connect to main assembly. after a lot of work it was worth it.
Delivery was really fast – I received mine the day after ordering. I’ve ordered two and I have put one together so far. I would imagine it would be easier with two people but I managed it on my own. Putting it together on my own also gave the neighbours the opportunity to hear my thoughts on the parentage of this garden furniture! While it’s good to be vocal and let your feelings out, in the interests of a good relationship with the neighbours, it’s probably better to have two people put it together. I still have the fun of going through it all over again with the second one now.
Arrived early, easily put together (needs 2 people)and very solid and substantial. Very comfortable and nice to look at,for the price its great value for money. Highly recommended.
ok, at little bit out of shape which made fixing it together a bit difficult. However it is done and comfy to sit in.
