Really happy with this. Quite easy to assemble. Good size. Looking forward to growing food in it.
great for a temporary chicken run, whilst avian flu is around
This was bought as a winter cover for our large fish pond. It says 2 people to assemble but needs 3 due to size rather than anything else.
The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. However if I was to pick a fault I had to go and buy some nuts as the ones supplied did not tighten as they would not screw right up to the rods to make hold sturdy enough.
This was a minor problem and the finished result was far beyond what we expected. I had been quoted over 600 for a similar item so this is excellent value for money.
With a few items to anchor it down correctly we are now confident our pond will be safe from debris and freezing temperatures.
Easy to assemble, the instructions call for two people but I found it works better with three. The framework itself isn’t all top sturdy, so it’s liable to flex a lot during construction. Once up it’s super warm and humid and lets in loads of light, there is plenty of space inside which is obviously ideal. If you’re thinking of buying then I have a couple of tips:
If you’ve read a couple of the negative reviews on here about sturdiness, well they’re not wrong. You will need to suppliment the frame with additional support. We dug a half foot deep trench for the base to sit in, then hammered in structural poles at each corner and lashed them to the main body, then two more poles halfway down the length. Once the trench is filled in this makes everything from the waist down super sturdy. We also made a H frame for the end and used it to support the top half of the framework. We did not use the guideropes, too thin to make a difference.
Don’t stress about putting it all up in one go, the instructions have a guideline of two hours, which is probably do-able, but with all the additional supports we spaced ours out over two weekends.
My advice is, just buy it – put the extra effort into making it sturdy and you will not be disappointed
Nice tent. Well designed.
Didn’t get to open the box until today, about 8 months after receiving it. I was not pleased to find 4 vital apex connecting pieces were missing. I had to rig up a strong but makeshift work-around using coathanger wire and the plastic pole bags (see picture).
So be prepared to improvise. Fortunately, the end result is good, no thanks to the packers and checkers :/
Excellent value for money – we secured by clipping to some beds and a path. Has stood up to the gales we’ve had this last week. Very impressed- a good size. Tip: put the cover on on a warm day to relax the plastic so it pulls down into place nicely.
This was very easy to assemble although the instructions could have been a bit clearer. It took 2 of us 1.5 hours and I am delighted with the poly tunnel for the money it cost.
It has been put up at our allotment which is fairly sheltered and before next winter I will add some additional strength to the frame but it has survived this years storms without any issues
We bought this for our chickens, they are having a lockdown of their own. We used it through the winter. It has withstood the wind and rain. The chickens have remained warm and dry. The side vents open to prevent it getting too stuffy for them on sunny days too. All in all a great purchase that we will be able to pack away and use again and agai
