I took a chance buying this because it looked like it was geared towards cats, dogs, bunnies, etc and I have 2 lizards. I bought one and set it up inside one lizard’s vivarium, and loved it so much I bought another for my other lizard. It’s so easy to set up – I have plenty of ‘smart home’ devices and they usually take forever to get started, but I installed this and got it online in 2 minutes. The picture is super clear, day or night. For those with vivariums, I recommend setting it up on the ceiling of the further end of the viv, as the wide angle is really impressive but you’re always going to have a small blind spot, so I made sure the blind spot on my camera would be behind my lizards basking lamp, if that makes sense. There’s a cool feature where you get to share your camera with family – I set my boyfriend up with an account so he could see our pets while he was at work. There’s also motion detection and 2 way conversation, so I can hear them and they can hear me. I work from home 50% of my week so the camera is great for allowing me to keep an eye on my pets, and make sure they’re eating if no one is home. It also came in handy when we had an overnight stay during the holidays, as I could keep an eye on their timed lights without asking a family member to come over and watch them. I took the free pet trial for both cameras and I think I might buy the full subscription.

Easy to use and set up, night vision works good as well. Voice functionality is a bit delayed but we don’t really use it much. The only drawback is that if I want to hear what is happening in the room, I need to turn my phone landscape but then the video is a bit cut from the bottom.
We don’t have a pet and bought a petcube to watch after our newborn baby. We mostly cared about such features as night vision and sound alerts, and petcube does an excellent job as a baby monitor. It’s great value for money, as most baby monitors start at 100. I want to highlight its video recording feature, which automatically starts recording a short video clip if a motion is detected. We have captured so many precious moments of our son making funny moves in his cot.
Pros:
– Small and good looking camera. It will most likely fit in your room.
– Reasonable price compared to other baby monitors.
– Full set of baby monitor features: night vision, sound alerts, two-way audio.

Cons:
– A minor thing, but it asked for access to my location while setting up wifi, which I found weird. After I declined I had to manually enter my wifi network SSID.
– Premium features (advanced notifications and longer video history) require a subscription. Worth mentioning that the product is still fully usable using the basic plan.
I bought the Petcube camera to keep an eye on my pets whilst I am at work. The camera is one of the best practical purchases I have made in a while. The initial set up of the camera was easy and stress free using the step-by-step guide. The design of the camera makes it easy to hide within the room, with its small and sleek design. The motion sensitivity of the camera is brilliant and overall, I am extremely impressed with the camera and the quality of the picture. Also, the mobile application is user friendly and easy to install. Not forgetting to mention my Petcube camera was delivered quickly.
The only downside is that the camera has a fixed position (no rotation/tilt controlled via app), so, need to think in advance where it should be located to cover the required area.
This camera is my first Petcube.
I’ve bought this camera to look after my pets when I’m away. This cam is decent hardware for its price. I love how the camera is fast and responsive when you connect to it. The picture is just amazing in any light conditions. It’s super bright during the day and automatically switches to monochrome during the dark environment, which is handy if you forget to turn on your lights.
Also, the camera has excellent software. It allows you to share the camera with family and friends, which is fantastic when you’re away, and someone is petsitting your pet.
The camera is great. It is much smaller than I expected and was very easy to install and setup. Video quality and movement detection work really well.
We got a pup recently, and he screwed up our sleep schedule completely. Now that we bought a cam I can at least check if he’s awake before getting out of bed myself, and can sometimes talk him into going back to sleep at night without getting up.
Cam was super easy to set up, video quality is nice, and magnetic mount works on pup’s playpen.
It’d be cool if cam was completely wireless, but the wire is long enough for our use case and I don’t care about charging it this way.
Amazing camera at a very reasonable cost. The overall quality of the product is good, including the packaging and the charger (dual standard EU&UK). Two features I especially love are the night vision and the magnetic base, which makes it super easy to fix the camera where you want. There is also a sticky tape piece included should you wish to affix it to a non-metal surface. The camera quality is very good and the sound is good too. One downside I noticed is when your mobile connection is unstable, the video and the sound quality will be shaky too, but this is totally understandable. The initial setup was well-designed and easy. One undocumented feature of this camera is that you can also talk to your wife when she is not picking up her phone.
If you are looking for a small camera to monitor your pets – this is the one to go with. The camera itself is neat, video quality is second to none and the Petcube app is brilliant. It goes with both UK and EU charger adapter and almost 2m wire, setup process is pretty clear.
I bought it as a present for my parents. They have a cat and want to have contact with her, while away. I’ve chosen it because of it’s small and minimalistic design. It fits well in most interiors. It has several mounting options: non-slip rubber base, glue mounting and magnet one. However, you have to think ahead about where to put it, because it’s mains-powered and you need to have an electric outlet nearby.
The design is good, the camera feels pretty sturdy and looks like it can withstand life with quite an active and curious cat around.
It has an adequate camera quality with a wide range of views. My parents have a moderate size apartment, so it works well for them. Surprisingly good night mode.
I like that you can talk to your pet, so she doesn’t feel so lonely.

This is a great camera to check in on your pets with. The video quality is very good compared to other cameras I have tried, both in night vision and regular lighting. The motion detection is also great, I have nocturnal pets and it alerts me when they wake up and move around.
The quality of the product is excellent! It’s attractive visually and yet such that it doesn’t draw much attention to it. The night vision is evident on the camera. The interface on the phone is super simple, so it’s fast with no bugs that I’ve seen so far. The picture quality looks great on the phone. I love the wide lens. It almost sees an entire room. One of my other favourite features is tilted the camera how I want it.
The motion detector is crazy sensitive. It never misses it when there is movement. I love the alerts. The built-in Alexa is no different from the regular Alexa you would get. It was neat to see the device expand to fit many different needs.
