Does what it says it should. Provides my cat with fresh water all day long.
Ideal for a medium sized cat. Lot of places to drink from. Quiet pump, and the trickle of water is a nice sound, but believe this can be stopped with 2 tea spoons. Very solid ceramic bowl and tower.
Ours has been running 24/7 for the last 5 years. Last night the housing for the charcoal filter snapped and it now does not pump properly. If I can buy new parts that would be great, but will get a new unit otherwise. Three cats use it all the time.
This is the best cat water fountain I have bought (and I have had a few). it is very easy to install, fill and keep clean. And most impotantly, the cats use it and love it.
There is the slightest motor noise (to be expected) but it is overlaid by the sound of the running water so not a problem.
I wanted a ceramic water fountain for my kitten and chose this one. My now cat won’t drink from anything else sometime she likes to cool herself by sticking her head under the flow which is super weird but its something she does on purpose as she can drink from the pool, the flow and the top without getting wet.
the filters on this are NOT a substitute for cleaning the bowl. It needs topping up just like others and I do a quickie refresh every week so a quick rinse and fully fresh water then each month it gets a deep clean in the dishwasher. I have very soft water so limescale hasn’t been much of an issue. if you live somewhere with hard water you are going to need to deep clean more frequently to avoid limescale build up.
The filters last nicely I replace them as it advises on the filter boxes just make sure you rinse out the spongey filter during your deep cleans.
Really happy with this fountain but cats are super picky and it can take a while to find the right one for your fur baby
Our dog was only “fussy” about her water, if it was too “stale”, had “bits” in it etc she would not touch it. The result was she did not drink enough water and this resulted in an internal blockage that cost, in Vet’s fees, some 900 to diagnose and treat, not to speak of the more inportant fact of the pain suffered by our dog. The vet suggested ways to encourage our dog to drink and was quite encouraging to our idea of a dog water fountain. After research we bought this one and we are extremely pleased with it.
It was very easy to set up and has proved very easy to clean. Did our dog use it? Well not at first but as it was strange but she some got over that and is now quite happy to use it….often!!.
One point we did find that we had to fill it more than the instructions recommended so that our dog could easily get her muzzle into the bowl.
Just bought to replace an identical fountain that lasted four years & only needed replacing as I dropped & broke the ceramic bowl. Works very well, popular with my two cats. Easy to maintain, looks good, simple to clean.
Nice looking product. The motor is SILENT! However the water fall is not – it is down to preference. I found the falling water quite noisy and have had to pinch the two spoons idea from a previous reviewer, which silences the water fall completely. The cat has run away from it with the water fall uninterrupted. I am hoping she will return to it now it is silent. I’m sure she will.
This fountain was nice-looking, designed/functions well, and if you have a pet who’d appreciate fresh flowing filtered water then I recommend it.
You need room for it (isn’t so small), like the sound of trickling water (pleasant if you like this), but you need to remember to change the filter regularly and keep it clean.
I couldn’t keep it only because the cat it was bought for is very shy, elderly, and tricky at the best of times.
He was dehydrated, refusing his still water. He was scared of it…
He now drinks from a pond outside, or a pail of rainwater! (totally contrary beast!)
This is a lovely product, very good quality and style. I was amazed how quiet it is having tried a plastic one before which my cat would not go near and whuch hummed annoyingly in the corner. I cannot hear the little motor in this one at all. Sometimes the water makes a pleasant trickling noise, but otherwise it’s silent. It does require a good clean every few days, especially if you are in a hard water area like me. The only thing I dislike is the smell the foam filter develops quite quickly which reminds me of stagnant water, it might be the water should be refreshed every day. Anyway after ignoring it for three weeks the cat actually used it twice! And then went back to ignoring it.
Well made, easy to clean we have it on a time plug as the water can be noisy
Its a good product, you can’t hear the motor but the sound of water running is quite loud so I have done what someone else suggested and put 2 teaspoons across the top which really works to keep it quite. It is easy to clean and I have put the ceramic parts in the dishwasher. I did just buy a cheap small bottle brush rather than the pack recommended and that cleans the motor fine.
My kittens stared at it for a while but I think they are using it in the dead of night. (They are rescues and nervous) I have to top it up every few days and I clean it once a week. Not had to replace the charcoal yet (3 weeks) but I am using filtered water to refill it anyway
Good fountain easy to clean kitties love it only downside is you obviously have to keep buying filters bit on the expensive side but worth it for my fur babies
Dogs love it we have three so filling it up constantly my husband brought another type fountain but much prefer drinkwell.

Brilliant product. Using in bedroom. A Lille noise for a day or too. Bear with it because it goes silent. Cats love it. Drinking is up by at least 30%
The bowl is very heavy and very good quality. Easily assembled and can be unplugged for cleaning. Added bonus as a water feature for my lounge.
Much nicer than the plastic lumps. My elderly boy loves it.
I bought this to encourage my cats to drink more water, after one had a serious urinary problem. after a week of being suspicious about it (typical cats), they all use it multiple times a day. When full, it is very quiet. As it is ceramic it is less prone to holding bacteria, and it looks attractive compared to something plastic.
EDIT: It has now been two years and it’s still going strong!
