This kettle was expensive and I wasn’t certain it would be worth the money. It was the colour that attracted me as it was a perfect accent for my kitchen. When it arrived I was so happy, the colour is perfect but also it’s a great kettle really sturdy and well made. It’s easy to fill despite the fact that it hasn’t got an external water gauge, it boils quickly and is fairly quiet compared to my last kettle. For me the main fact is that it looks great. I wouldn’t have been disappointed if I’d have paid full price.
Boiling water. it is a kettle . What else would you use it fo
This is one of the coolest looking kettles. It’s really high quality. It boils water super fast and is much more silent than standard kettles.
Looks lovely ,very quiet , very quick , just wondering if it should wobble when near to boiling ?
Lovely kettle that matches my range cooker. Very quiet, quick boil. Very pleased with it.
We already have cooker and hood by rangemaster so when we saw this kettle and the reviews just had to be the one . Good quiet kettle eventually as the first couple of weeks made a whistling sound when starting to heat up which lasted around 20 seconds then became quiet but now very quiet . It’s a big kettle so when it’s full can be heavy which also means that with the handle on top can be awkward to pour . The handle on the top also means limited room to remove the lid to fill again a niggle ( my hands are big apparently) but overall pleased with our purchase.
This is a very attractive kettle and really looks great on the kitchen worktop. Unfortunately the design gets a little in the way of function and it’s very heavy to lift, exacerbated by the handle being fully on top – it’s far easier to lift a kettle when you have some side purchase. The spout is so large that you can use that to fill the kettle, which is just as well as removing the top lid is tricky to say the least, trying to navigate between those narrow handles. All that aside, this is a quick acting kettle that is easy to fill, very attractive and, perhaps once your kettle lifting muscles have built up, perfect for the job!
Best kettle I’ve ever owned. Superbly quiet, fast boiling and great balance for pouring. Not to mention it’s beautiful on the counter. I hesitated for some time because of the price, but will never settle for a lesser kettle again. Only caution is to wait for it to completely cool before removing the lid – or wear an oven glove so the steam doesn’t burn you. Highly recommend.
Great retro look. Quiet and quick to boil. Sturdy and stylish. Looks great in the kitchen and the colour is toned well. Will last for years.
This is quite an expensive kettle and I was really intrigued to see what we get at this price range and if it’s worth the extra money.
Certainly the packaging is impressive, it’s wrapped in a fleece like wrapping to keep it free from damage through shipping.
It’s the robustness and the high-quality of materials used though that sets this apart from most others i’ve seen. It’s quite heavy though, even when empty of water. This does make it much more durable though.
There’s a good quality rubber handle, it feels very strong and comfortable to hold. I also am really impressed with the spout. It pours really well and does not leak.
It also boils quickly and I do quite like the design, although I am used to having a mechanical opening lid. It will take some time getting used to.
Overall it’s clear to see the value in paying a little extra for this kettle, i believe it will last much longer than most.
Would recommend.
This is one fantastic kettle, set above the rest, I would say. The key features I rate are:
Super quiet boil
Large volume and yet not overly heavy
Aesthetically pleasing
Great handle
Spout fill
It boils in a time frame I would expect, even with a full kettle. Light up switch so you know when it’s on. Love the creamy buttermilk colour. It is a little pricey, but you do get what you pay for and I’m very happy with it.
As soon as I opened the box I could see that the Rangemaster RMCLDK201GY Grey Cordless Electric Classic Kettle is in a class of its own. Packed in fleece wrapping and separate drawstring bags for the kettle and base, the kettle is smart, robust and will give good service for years to come. It holds 1.7L and the water level gauge marker shows clearly how full it is, whether it’s for 3, 4 or 6 cups. What I particularly like is the spout that pours without dripping, there’s a removable and washable lime scale filter, the rubber handle gives a strong and comfortable grip, and a full kettle of boils quickly and quietly within five minutes. Given the choice, I’d rather have a lid that automatically opens rather than having to manoeuvre it around the handle but that’s a small price to pay for such as attractive-looking piece of kitchen equipment, and it’s nice to have a kettle that looks good as it’s always on show. It’s heavier than the kettles I’ve had in the past but there again they haven’t been of the Rangemaster superior quality and without fail have soon developed faults. So I’d definitely say it’s worth paying more for this superior Rangemaster kettle from the Classic range.
I was really interested to see what a 100 kettle was like – I normally spend under 50 for a kettle. Opening up the box you can immediately see the first difference. The kettle comes in it’s own drawer string bag and is wrapped in a soft fleecy material for extra protection. I have to admit it did feel special opening it up. The kettle itself is big! I am really surprised that the capacity is 1.7l (like most kettles) as the kettle seems a lot bigger. It looks and feels like a high quality product, but the solid, sturdy build does mean that even empty, it feels heavy. I haven’t timed it but it does seem quicker and quieter than my current kettle.
It is a very expensive kettle to us. However, we still bought it as we liked it to match our black Rangemaster cooker.
Unfortunately, it shows that the coating on the edge of the bottom part looks defective. Please see the attached images. I took a few photos to exclude the possibility of light reflection.
Since I’m not so sure if it’s defective coated, I haven’t tried to Return/Replace it yet.
This is an excellent quality kettle. The kettle looks great with a cream finish, and the metal material feels high quality, and like it will last for years. The kettle comes with a 3 year guarantee. I especially like the feel of the handle, which is solid, and has a rubber under-material, which provides good grip and feels nice to the hand. The handle also is well-designed for lifting or pouring, with only a small movement needed to pour. This 1.7 litre kettle is not much heavier than my smaller old 1 litre kettle.
The operation of the kettle is good. The water level gauge on the side can be used to assess the fill-level. I have found that it appears to be quiet in comparison to other kettles I’ve used, and also faster to boil the same amount of water, even though it has the same wattage at 3kW. This also comes with a removable and washable limescale filter, and boil dry protection.
The only disadvantage I’d highlight is that this is a big kettle for a single person, or even for two people. Other kettles I’ve used hold 1 litre maximum, or 1 cup of water at the minimum fill level, while this kettle holds 1.7 litres maximum, or 3 cups worth at the minimum fill level. To avoid damaging the product the minimum fill level should be respected, so if only one or two cups are needed the kettle will need to be overfilled. Still, I have found that even for one person filling it to the 3 cup level, the kettle boils quickly, so there is no inconvenience compared to using a smaller kettle.
This kettle is quite expensive, but the quality reflects the price.
I received my kettle today. Tested for boiling water. It works fine.I like the light indicator, the top button for opening the kettle to fill water and the fact that it turns itself off when the water has boiled.I only wish it could keep the water warm for a longer period. And I thought it took long to boil.It takes about 5 minutes to bring to a rolling boil.
