Superb, brilliant had issues finding a camera that would pick up my wifi and would work reliably. This is an excellent piece of kit love it! easy to install and set up top work!
Received and configured using the Reolink android application. Installation docked one point as there was an issue with the inner collar within the mount jamming meaning I had to remove the mount to unjam and then remount to seat the camera properly on the mount. Other then that, the tech side was easy.
Works with iSpy software which is free for personal use and has run for a week with no issues. Wifi signal seems pretty good – goes through our concrete slab between our flat and garage underneath.
I would recommend keeping on a separate section of your network (think VLAN’s) and block it from accessing all devices except your surveillance server.
Worked fine for a week went to check this morning could not log on in end took camera down tried to log in no luck in end reset back to factory default tried to set up again 3 times but it kept disconnecting and crashing. So I’ve returned i
A good camera. The issues I have with it are minor.
No Alexa integration
Cable arrangement is messy. If mounted on a solid wall the extra Ethernet stuff is untidy.
Snow or birds confuse the human detection
Overall, though, I would buy again (in fact, I did).
I have a few Reolink cameras around my property they never miss a beat. Simple and comprehensive GUI makes setup simple (better than the dreadfully buggy Hikvision) I use my NAS software motion detection as the Reolink software can be a bit hit & miss. This particular camera was purchased and installed for our elderly neighbours (some idiot youths giving them grief). With the onboard storage and app it’s so simple to view live and review recordings. It was cat 5 wired as the camera WiFi was too weak to register with the router. It’s also more reliable wired. Great value and recommended
Overall I’m quite happy with the cameras, the ease of setup and use and the daytime video is good but the night vision isn’t as good as my previous 25 Netvue cameras.
camera good quality but detection alarm system not notification many times
Very impressed with the build quality, accessories in the box and the price
Replacement for a Yi camera and definitely worth it
More features, better quality and no payment needed to see what you have recorded
Had a rat problem in the garden and needed to know where they were coming from so we could block the entrance. This camera allowed a quick install that could be moved around the garden. I’ve already got a handful of reolink 5MP wired cameras, so this integrated perfectly into the setup.
I have used Foscam previously and always gone wired as found the wireless always patchy or dropped. not an issue as always preferred hard wired where possible, however i wanted to install a camera where it was complicated to run CAT6 so took a chance on the Reolink wireless camera based off my experience with this brand being good. I have to say that the camera connection has been spot on, never dropped and can be viewed just as quickly as the hard wired ones when viewing the multiple cameras via surveillance station (Synology CCTV app) 2560×1440 is a huge step up from 720p and isnt that far off quality wise to the 4K Reolink cameras. the AI/Human and also beta pet detection features work well and informa me via push notification if movement is detected and what is making the movement (our pet or a person)
Motion mode works great, rather than going off for a bird, shadow or a tree blowing it will only record and notify for a person or a car. Much less notification spam and better visual quality.
Easy to setup with PoE or just the wall adapter.
Connect the ethernet cable to your laptop or phone, run the app and connect the camera to your home wifi network and you’re done. Configure the FPS, resolution etc and you’re good to go. It supports ONVIF too, and can be used in BlueIris or any of the countless other NVR softwares, or to a dedicated NVR if you so wish
This camera has been great so far for me, but I have noticed it isn’t recording everything in its way which it should be as it’s set at lowest delay possible. The only issue I have is wiring it onto the outside especially with the cables being so short and all clumped together. I am going to have to get a professional to fit i
