Small, compact, save room on my desk, can connect to multiple devices, Great colors, bright, comfortable, great battery Life, and responsive!
Overall good fit and finish for the price, keys aren’t that loud for a mechanical keyboard. I got the linear switch’s and they are very linear, more than cherry Reds. Rbg is cool with a bunch of different options. Overall it’s a nice little keyboard
I first bought this keyboard for a PC setup I was working on and I liked it so much I bought one for my office workspace as well. I first started having issues with the keyboard connected via 2.4G that it would start not recognizing the key strokes, then it started repeating the letters after having clicked only once. This also happened in games, where I’d press “W” once and it would just keep on going. I tried everything, including buying a USB extender to place the receiver as close to the keyboard as possible but that didn’t help. Then I tried pairing the keyboard using Bluetooth and the problem persisted. I went as far as to try to factory reset and reinstall firmware but that wasn’t possible as self-solutions are not widely offered for keyboards. Although 2.4G and Bluetooth give me trouble, the USB-C connector works flawlessly, which is what I’m using right now to type this review. The keyboard feels super sturdy, well built, and great to type with.
I’m giving the keyboard 4 stars because the one I have at home doesn’t seem to give me as much issues when connected via 2.4G or BT as the one I bought for my office, although I don’t use that one as much as I mainly game with a controller.
Hot swappable. Good lighting options. Only thing i wasn’t a fan of is the key caps so I switched them out but that is up to preference.
This is my first mechanical keyboard.
I just love the sound and the feeling of this keyboard. I have no problem with connection with a dongle, either.
Great starter board for dipping your toes into the world of custom keyboards. The stock stabs ( I recommend modding the stabs if you plan on keeping them ) and keycaps are not the best quality but they are passable and the the switches aren’t bad at all once lubed. I haven’t really used the Bluetooth mode but the wireless mode works just fine.
If you’re familiar at all with custom keyboards, its that you know it can get expensive. I spent a long time looking for a keyboard that would fit my needs without blowing my budget. I can say that this keyboard is 100% worth it. Out of the box, it already sounds decent and most people wouldn’t even feel the need to change anything about it. But if you were like me and wanted to customize it, it’s perfect. I switched the red switches for akko lavenders and changed the keycaps and it’s like a completely different board and sound! Plus, I was surprised that this keyboard came with foam already inside! What shocked me even more was the stabilizers that came with the keyboard were already sturdy with foam. Both of these inclusions made my modding experience a lot easier. Overall, I’d highly recommend this keyboard to those looking fo
I’ve changed the keycap to pudding key caps for more light, and it’s the greatest decision I’ve made. The outer cover part is plastic though, so it’s kind of meh but the rest is very good. The software also supports macros which now made my boilerplate coding more enjoyable! The fact that this keyboard also connects to up to 3 devices with Bluetooth is also very convenient. I can switch between my raspberry pi next to my computer without needing another keyboard nearby which opens up more space. Definitely a good choice.
What’s not to like about this. Excellent price for a high-quality mechanical keyboard that has it all.
– Hot-swappable keys with any 3 or 5 pin models
– 3 choices for connectivity (bluetooth, 2.4ghz, wired)
– Pass-through USB ports when in wired mode
– RGB with many modes available to select
– Removable bezel to allow more RBG light and/or change look of keyboard
This hit all the features for me for my first mechanical keyboard. And the price is excellent for all the features you get.
Keyboard delivered has different switches than I ordered however my daughter was happy to keep the Keyboard. There was price difference and seller refunded the difference in price as soon as I let them know. Great communication, fast delivery and good quality product. I recommend this seller highly.
Einfach zum anschliessen, sieht gut aus, gute qualitt, einfache Bedinung, ersatz Switches werden mitgeliefert, guter Preis
The keyboard looks very nice, and the lighted keys are great.
buen teclado de entrada si empiezas en mundillo de teclados mecanicos, los swiches que tare son decepcionantes (switches tactiles de muy baja calidad) pero ya consideraba cambiarlos desde un inicio, de ahi en mas el teclado es muy bueno
Had initial problems with Mac functionality, but once I got that sorted out this keyboard has been a dream. Compact form factor, and the sturdy build have been highlights.
It does seem to be an all plastic build, but it does not feel cheap. Sounds good, though I plan to add new keycaps and do a foam mod to dappen just a bit more. The RGB is good and has a lot of presets, though I do wish it were a bit brighter.
If you are using this with Mac Mini, make sure to attach 2.4 connector directly to your Mac Mini, not through a dongle or anything like that. This may lead to problems for those running off of Mac laptops because the 2.4 is USB type A and I believe you may experience the same problems with the dongle connection (though I am not 100% sure)
If you are looking for a keyboard to be your first mechanical, or a base for modding for the first time, I highly suggest this one.
I have had the keen for about a week and it is amazing to type on, like, night and day from the keyboard integrated into my laptop. The switches are a bit light and while this is understandable if i’m not mistaken they are 40g and switches like mx reds are 45. It makes it quick for gaming but i have mostly been using it for typing and will have to switch out the switches in the coming months, but it is great for what you get. The keycaps have a nice feel to them, even for ABS, although the doubleshot part is only at the top and this makes them sound just as clacky as regular abs keycaps due to thinness.
Mine actually came with pre-lubed stabilizers, with a good tubing job, however they might need to be clipped and band-aid modded for better sound. The spacebar is really loud, again, due to thinness and unloved switches.
There was also foam between the plate and the PCB, as well as some foam under the pcb, however there is more open space near the back as it is thicker there so there is air between the foam, pcb, and the battery/daughterboard and so they keys tend so sound clackier as you move towards the function row, not helped by the taller keycaps. It would be wise to put more in the back should you purchase it.
Overall, it gives a great typing experience and sounds really, really good if you like clacky keyboards. Definitely would recommend.
It looks and feels really nice to use, sound is not too loud but not quiet either. Switches in mine are not too resistant, just as I like. plug and play usage is also really nice.
Newer Model (Serial # started with 22) came fully Foamed in between the top plate and PCB and the Bottom of the case. Excellent product. I swapped out the switches for some Lubed Glorious Pandas, excellent keyboard.
TL:DHTR – Defect: number 8 and 9 keys don’t work
Probably my first and last review on Amazon as I don’t really care to write reviews.
I am kind of hesitant on buying electronics online. The hassle of contacting sellers/vendors and the shipping of merchandise back and forth that’s already been paid for. I’m always afraid something expensive is going to get lost in transport.
Anyway, I saw some reviewers mentioning that they were having issues with one or more of their keys not working. I took a gamble anyway since I’ve been wanting a decent keyboard for awhile to use with my PS5 to chat on the rare occasions that a game supports text chat for the shy people who refuse to use a headset.
BTW, yes this is compatible with PS5 through Bluetooth, if you’re looking for one.
Long story short, my number 8 and 9 keys don’t work.
Other than that, the keyboard looks amazing. I’ve contacted the seller/vendor and hopeful they will contact me and resolve this. So wish me luck, else I’d have to go through Amazon for a replacement, might have been the simpler solution.
UPDATE:
RK reached out to me, got myself a replacement. I’d have to say, I’ve never been so impressed with customer service. They quickly responded and sent me a replacement in no time. I would definitely recommend this company/vendor to do business with.
(The video is of the keyboard with the mods I did) I purchased the RK 84 (white) on April 24th, 2022. I got the Hot-swap red switches and planned on modding the board (lube, tape, foam, greasing stabs). I was pleasantly surprised when I took it apart and found that there was already foam between the plate and PCB, and also foam on the bottom of the board! I was planning on greasing the stabilizers but they were already done! Right out the box, this keyboard sounded miles better than my last. After lubing all the switches, adding the tape mod, and putting some extra cloth below the PCB, this thing sounds CREAMY. Would totally recommend for someone looking to get into mechanical keyboards.
At first it works. But then the keyboard will just disconnect with the bluetooth and start pairing. Its really frustrating. If i can just return this i would have.
Update:
At first i had a problem with the product. all products may have defects on it. But it offsets it when the company cares and provide service when you need it. Now im enjoying the keyboard
Keyboard is firmly built, very little overall flex. Keycaps wobble a little, and the Bluetooth takes a second to connect. For the price, this is a great entry level board
