It doesn’t have the sound quality of, say, a Yamaha, but for the price it’s fine for my 8 y/o to muck about on and see if she has an interest in music
First time keyboard player worth the money easy to use fun to play, the app advertised is sadly not very good as it gives you 1 song then subscription offers. So i have been using google to teach myself basic songs. If you are looking for a new hobby and have debated learning to play this is great for that without spending too much money, both me and my children will be using this the only issue i would say is length of the power cable but it is not a major issue for me personally. overall great product would recommend.
For my grandson who is 11 years old and he loved i
I know I have a tape measure but I was surprised that this keyboard was a full size piano. I bought it for a grandchild to learn piano and thought it would be smaller. You need a good amount of space to use it… like a dining room table. Having said that it sounds good . I find it a bit complicated with all the whistles and stops available but then I haven’t read the instructions. I bought a childrens music book to go with it and we have had some fun on it. The stickers with the notes on it were a God send.
When I bought this I was a bit unsure if it would any good at the price and was tempted to spend a lot more on something better. As much as a fancy red Roland keyboard looked great, I just wasn’t sure if my daughter would really see the benefit especially as there was potential for it to just sit around collecting dust, so I went for the cheaper option in this keyboard.
Luckily, I think I picked the right one as it has plenty of options for sounds and the keys don’t feel bad at all. Certainly good enough for my daughter to learn the basics on, and really more than enough for us to justify not spending 5 times the money on.
I am sure a good pianist would notice something they would improve but for us it was great and if over time she outgrows it then I am sure we can look at something better, but if you are looking for something yo get started on then I think this is a good place to begin.
I was impressed b yeti sound quality and the functionality of this keyboard. In fact the overall quality of the device it quite okay for beginners. The included digital piano lesses are helpful, but only accessible for free for four weeks. Luckily there are many similar and often better, free piano playing instructions available on Youtube. I’m less impressed by the size of the keyboard, its a voluminous plastic box that is hard to store and that is quite an eye sore in our cramped living room.
My wife has many qualities but her musical taste and skills are not among those. Yet she has a tendency to buy musical instruments for the children in the hope they pick it up and start to develop some skill. So we now have an extra acoustic guitar, an electrical guitar, a keyboard and an entry level DJ set.. all of these are gathering thick layers of dust.
Upon arrival, the children take a look at it, realise that it’s far more tricky and far less fun to play an instrument than a game on their iPad, and won’t touch it ever after. This keyboard, despite my pre-purchase warnings followed the same path. I’ve threatened to sell the the instruments on an auction site, but for the moment the pile of instruments is still there and growing.
I’m an autodidact guitar player, by no means good, but parental push and stimulation wasn’t what got me into playing my guitar.
Oh well, this is a good keyboard, its not too expensive. Hope you get more out of it than we do.
We are planning on getting lessons for our little one who loves music, easy enough to storr, and good sound quality
I got this keyboard when it was on offer as I had wanted to learn how to play keyboard/piano for some time and thought this would be a good introduction to see if enjoyed it or not. I think for the price it is a great keyboard. You can play chords, you can turn the volume up and down, it has got settings to change the sound, sustain etc. It came with a 3 month free trial to Skoove (although there are plenty of tutorials you can learn from online). The keys are obviously smaller than a piano or larger keyboard but overall I am impressed! I have had the keyboard just over 3 months and some of the note stickers had started to peel off, I wrote to Rockjam to see if they sold them separately, they answered quickly and have replaced them for free so great customer service too. Would definitely recommend if you are starting out. I knocked one star off for sound quality as the Skoove app occasionally didn’t seem to recognise the sound of a particular key, whether that was the fault of the app/my phone/the keyboard I am not sure.
Got this as a Christmas gift for my 8 year old daughter and was really pleased with it. Great value for money as a starter keyboard.
Very good my kids loved. Good price. Would have to pay a fortune if was buying from Brazil
Super easy to use and learn with as a beginner I was sceptical but after a few goes it became so easy to learn to play.
I was a tad scepticle buying this because some reviews said it was a bit fragile here, or had poor sound quality there… However, I am glad I got this on for my daughter and the RockJam 61 key for my son. Both came with 6months lessons and both, so far, have proved hardwaring and of excellent sound and tone quality. Bot my kids love their keyboards and have learned the fearl Elise (I think is how is is said ) Adele songs, James Arthur songs, Dr Dre tunes and much more. Absolutely recommend, so much so, I will purchase another for my youngest daughter’s birthday well done RockJam
The whole family like to have a little play on this. Any age. Great for my autistic so
Brought this for my grandson who loves it and he is becoming very good at learning to play
My daughter got this for Christmas and absolutely loves it. Its good quality, easy to use and transport, stickers come to help identify keys which is great for beginners.
At this price, I was expecting a low quality chinese toy, but is magic for begginers. Brilliant.
This keyboard is perfect for a beginner my daughter absolutely loves it and giving her the confidence she needs to play
My daughter loved this when I bought it for her it comes with stickers to help them learn which I think is great, there’s so many different sounds you can change the keyboard to definitely worth the money
Got this for my 9 year old daughter. Much better than I expected for the price. Sounds good, decent volume, came with stickers for the keys. Perfect for beginners.
Sound clarity is amazing. Came up in a nice packaging suitable for travel. One thing which I didn’t like is volume is high by default when turned on the power. Otherwise it’s a nice product.
Bought for 7 yo daughter who is keen to learn. Has plenty of features (and many, many demos to hear on repeat!) as well as the key stickers to help her know what key is where etc. Really pleased with it!
Small but perfectly formed, a good place to start for beginners. Lots of added features like different tones and being able to change the tempo. Very useful being able to record and play back your playing.
Cheap option for a beginner. The sound is alright, the keyboards sometimes make very funny sound but still good for the price, especially with Simply Piano course.
Great christmas gift for my 12 yo daughter who is keen to learn the piano. This product is excellent value, with great sound and function buttons. And more importantly a volumn switch and/or earphone (not supllied) capability. I’ve even had a go on it myself!
Brilliant buy for any level of player, full size keys and loads of sounds available pretty amazing for the sub 100 price tag with power pack included and access to free online lessons, I purchased it for my granddaughter she loves it. You don’t get a professional quality weighted keys all singing and dancing keyboard , what you do get is a perfectly adequate usable full size keyboard with enough to keep anyone interested with enough realistic sounds to experiment with.recommended
One Happy son he’s been waiting for one of these for a while, the price was great, so far so good comes with lessons & was easy to set up, only one bad thing is the stickers aren’t that good they’re coming off.
Really pleased with the product, very impressed with the quality of the material used. Smooth finish.
Keys produce good sound and it does not fall into noise category.
Happy overall!!!
Bought for my 8 year old grandson at Christmas. He loved it. Younger 6 year old grandson seemed to be playing on it more by the end of the night! Great little instrument!
My 11 year old enjoys using this, lots of sound options, useful stickers to put on the keys. The music holder is strong enough to hold an IPad (important for kids these days!) Only fault it the volume doesn’t go very low, a set of headphones helps solve this problem!!!!
Bought this for a 5yr old so she loves it and thinks it’s a pro keyboard.
From the parents point of view, it feels cheap and the keys can sometimes double play or stick.
Using the learn music app it came with is fantastic and I was supirsed that my daughter managed to okay “old Mcdonald” in a day, for that reason I think it’s great but I don’t want to mislead anyone in my review hence my honesty regarding feel and the small issue with keys.
Got this for my daughter for Christmas and she’s over the moon with it. Great value for money sounds great easy to use especially for beginners. Definitely recommend
Got this for my son and he loves it and plays it all day. Higher keys sound a little tinny but for a child’s introduction to music its 11/10
This was a Christmas present for my nephew and it was a real hit!!! Easy to use, multiple profiles and a stand for a music book. He loves it!
