It did what it said on the box. Very good adhesion and the 3 different lengths allowed flexibility to utilise difficult spaces on my garage wall

Now I have all the tools I use most ready to use close to where I usually work. Holds very well even my hammer. No more bending down to my toolbox. Easy to install excellent quality and value.

Bought these to get my leathercraft worktop clear of tools and get them into some sort of order, they were just what I needed and all my punches, pricking tools and skivers are all in order and to hand when I need them. Will probably buy more for use when I revamp the workshop. If you don’t like the yellow just use some electrical tape to cover it.

    Used for Leathercraft tools

Fitted these in a Transit Custom onto the ply lining by the back doors.
Work very well and no tools have become detached from the magnet during driving.

No-one would think it a stylish product but it definitely does its job. Great gripping power and very rugged construction.

I bought these because I already had some of this make so knew that they were reliable and easy to install. I was not disappointed. They are really useful for hanging all sorts of tools large and small.

Great set of magnets!! My screwdrivers are easy to access. Even shared the product with my sister and brother as there were 3 parts to the set!!! Xx

Relatively cheap compared to some similar products but solidly made and easy to fit via 2 screws. Highly recommended for keeping tools in order whilst making them easy to access.

I bought these by mistake really. That said they work fine and hold tools perfectly well. Not sure why the set comes in 3 different sizes: one size would have been better. Also, not sure why the side saying “Rolson” has to be on the visible side, but it does.

Great for all those tools left lying around on the bench

    Easy peasy

Great value, and really useful. This eliminated the need for attaching a load of battens to the garage wall, which is a nightmare to screw into! Of course, these had to be screwed to the wall, but once done, they hold a ton of tools, including heavy hammers and a coping saw. I don’t really see why anyone needs to remove the stickers, they look pretty smart as they are, but that’s down to personal choice.

No hesitation recommending these, for the price I think they’re an absolute bargain!

They are super strong and hold my heavy hammers quite easily. Easy to screw to the wall, not much else to say.
Minor niggle, being Rolson, I expected a bit more in quality. The yellow label on it, is quite poorly put on and not stuck properly…..just a bit more care needed.

  22. Anonymous says:

Nice and strong magnetic bars for holding metal tools, does it well, very strong hold.

I noticed some others are concerned about the ‘sticky’ labels, in particular removing them.

The best way to remove sticky labels, is to use a heat-gun, go over it slowly at about 2cm distance with at least a 1000watt gun, then immediately start peeling at the corner you began your heating process. The label literally comes off including all its tacky goodness, leaving behind what you see in the picture.

All in all, an exceptionally happy customer. Rolson may not be the best tool maker, but they sure do come out with great goodies at affordable prices, this is one such goodie.

Rolson does it again, a useful tool at a price that's right!

Just under 3ft of magnets, for under 9. I have a back-facing garage window, into our garden. I have put some narrow roof battens across the inner side of the window. I will screw the magnets units, side by side on the lower battens.., For screwdrivers, etc, then the upper battens with cup hooks for non-metel handy small tools held up with bailing twine attached. These Magnet packs are a very good investment and give lifetime use.

Nothing bad to comment on really. The magnets are strong, it’s easy to install them with screws.
The yellow label is quite ugly though and doesn’t peel off. I just put a strip of electical tape across them to hide the label.

These are good I use them at work when doing engine strips n gearbox rebuilds. I put my tools on them as I m working to stop them from rolling off the bench.

Nice strong magnets but the horrible yellow tape has been applied at an angle, with bubbles and crooked.
Tried to peel it off but it just tears and leaves a real mess.
Good product ruined by poor workmanship and as I have tried to peel off can’t return for credit.

Golden Review Award: 38 From Our UsersIf you were to bump into my wife and ask about me, she’d tell you if you had an hour or so to spare that Duncurin is not the tidiest of persons. In fact, it has to be said, that she may even venture into stronger words.
To be fair, her words would be nothing but the truth. More than this, many untidy folk can still find what they are looking for at pretty short notice. Duncurin has taken things to an entire new level, however, and can, mainly through the vehicle of untidiness, lose things of all shapes and sizes in spectacular fashion. For example, I am the man who had to sell his last car with the roof rails still attached because I couldn’t find the special little spanner that released them. The salesman told me, suddenly looking very worried, that they’d get them off — somehow. Then, how about the time when I couldn’t find the keys to the roofbox and was faced either with not going on holiday or leaving the kids at home — tempting. Thank heavens for a local locksmith who made new keys, I jest not, for me. I once even lost the spool of solder that I had been using for half an hour in the middle of a soldering job. In fact I can lose not just the little things like that special spanner that I need to screw the nozzle of the airbrush on with, nor the wonderful sliding ruler thingy that tells me what depth I am working to (or should be!) but also bigger things like set squares, my wonderful accurate pull saw and my specialty — my electric drill — mid project. Also, you know that doobery that one needs for doing that job without which it becomes hopeless or impossible — I lost that 3 weeks ago and am still looking for it.
Sensing that my numerous faults are mounting, Duncurin is determined to seek change and I saw these wonderful bar magnets on Amazon. I had discovered a magnetic strip I think that came with a strip light and this had proven to be useful for retaining the little bits that go in my rechargeable mini-tool. The problem with the strip was that it easily became overloaded and then suddenly things that I’ll never be able to find again were shed everywhere. These bars are very strong — so much so I had difficulty separating them!
Once separated they are easy to attach. I chose the edges of my shelves. They will retain beautifully and unswervingly anything of ferrous metal that I ask of them. Thus the spanner for my router, the special forstner bit that I use most frequently, mini bits and blades and saws — the list is only exceeded by the things I used to lose. They are also strong enough for heavy things such as saws and hammers. I have found a series of cup hooks screwed in strategic places are not bad for holding saws and this has been useful but things like set squares are hard to retain and thus soon lost or just not found by me. These magnets are perfect for retaining such set squares and have also forced some discipline on me where I actually start to tidy my much-abused garage and the words of Mary Poppins ringing in my ears — find a place for everything. These magnetic bars have helped enormously with this ongoing (ever-ongoing) task. Essential kit for those of you who are even remotely like me. Please find a couple of pics of my ongoing efforts.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI do like these, at 8 they are very good value I think. The product however could be improved upon. They can be attached to your wall by a screw put into each end of the strip. These ends where the screw holes are do not have any magnets and are an inch wide – this is pretty frustrating as you lose two inches of storage from each rail. Seems very unnecessary – could easily have just had half an inch space at each end. I also found the yellow branding a little tacky and jarring so I laid a length of black duct tape along the full length of each strip between the screw holes. This improves the aesthetic and also stops metal on metal contact from your tools on the rail. There is still plenty of magnetism to hold everything on. Another gripe I have is that round objects (like my punch that is on the far left of the smaller strip) get rolled along the strip to the pole of the magnet – not much of a big deal I guess if you have other tools along side them that hold them in place well. In my case though it meant the punch was quite close to the other tool next to it which with cold, clumsy fingers can make for a difficult selection.

Great value for some quick and compact tool organisatio

Easy to fit and decent, strong magnet. I’m using to organise my bike tools and works perfectly for that. The different sizes allow for plenty of fitting options.

  47. Leyla Brooke says:

Strong magnet holds tools. Good appearance. Easy to install. One criticism: Rolson should offer packages of three all in the same size. I found the two smaller sizes not very useful and would have liked the opportunity to buy a set of the three large tool holders.

You would think that just putting in two screws would be easy but no; not when the power of the magnets keep snatching the screws from the screwdriver; but on saying that; the finished once in place was great and can take some quite heavy tools.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Usersmissed out on last deal so bought a couple when they came back down so got 4 sets , good enough product and the different sizes enable you to put them in many different places with the smaller ones that some reviews said were not very useful but i found being able to fit into tight confined areas or 2 together was good they are strong enough to hold most small to medium sized tools, spanners, grips, wrenches etc but not largest of spanners or hammers , also anything that has plastic coating will slide until the metal part makes contact with the magnet, some reviews have said that yellow label sticky and difficult to remove, i don’t think its supposed to be removed and only done for your personal preference but the ones on mine easily peeled off and any residue left vanished with a squirt of wd40

These are superb for making your tools readily available and they are very strong.

  62. MarkoHighett says:

Strong magnets. Shame the yellow Rolson labels are stuck on with glue stronger than the earths gravity field. I don’t mind a company logo, but these are ugly so I tried to rip them off. Then I tried to scrape the backing paper off with a blade . Then I tried my finger nails. I surrendered and put black tape over them which stops the tools rattling/slipping when they magnetically connect to dry paper. And when my finger nails grow back I’ll have another go

Easily holds a full size hammer etc – so a great way to have all your tools (a) out of the way, (b) organised and (c) easy to find.

    PERFECT!

ONLY downside? The screws provided are really weak – tiny Philips heads that strips easily – it’s like they made them with plastic – so soft. Use any other screws and you will be fine.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersUseful and strong magnetic bars at a good price, I bought two sets for the garage and it’s just so handy to have your most-used tools simply there within reach rather than in a box or case. I would certainly recommend these with only one hesitation: the supplied screws are made of putty, they are absolute garbage: just throw them away and use some decent ones: I have had two simply snap, in the hole, under mild torque ( just a using hand-held screwdriver, not a power tool.). Other than that, go for it: these are well priced and make life so much easier.

Terrific product. Heavy duty magnetic will hold the heaviest of garden tools, hammers etc. A bargain for three magnets. Spoiled for choice.

  72. CherylChery says:

     United Kingdom

I bought this as i was fed up of looking through boxes for the tools i needed and moving from place to place when i needed the space.
Easy to fix to the walls and the magnetic quality was good in that they held all my tools so i could see easily what tool i needed quickly, rather than rumaging through piles of them.

The only thig that lets it down is, I have magnetic screw drivers which seem to loose magntism when the stored on these strips. I wouldnt have thought they would as its magnetic anyway, But i now regularly have to re-magnetise my tools when i uses them, but still a great thing for space saving.

If this helps please like the review

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThey’re great! I’ve got a small workshop and like to make use of every bit of space. I’ve put 3 sets of these on the low ceiling above my work bench and it’s a great system. Everything’s right there when you want it and goes back super quickly, no sliding tools back into a slot, just place back where you grabbed it from.
The magnets are strong enough to hold depending on weight/surface area of the tool.
I suspect most of these type of magnet strips are identical but these come at a good price.
