First steam generator iron we have had very pleased with its ease of use and the amount of steam produced. Like that it has on /off switch on the unit very useful when using it while doing sewing projects ( intermittent use) steam takes a couple of seconds to get to the iron but this was as expected and not a problem

It’s is great iron it’s a lot quickie to iron clothes so much better than the normal iron.
This was a replacement for our previous one that stopped emitting steam, mainly because my wife didn’t read the instructions about changing the filter, so it got blocked with lime scale. So we got this model which she’s very pleased with, and will be changing the filter as necessary and also filling up with softened water.

Positives are it’s lightweight, warms up quick, has cable tidy for cable to iron, irons lovely, steams great, iron one side of garment only, great price. Picky negatives no cable tidy for cable to mains but has a handy place for plug and emptying water is a pain as you remove tank and it can be tricky to empty it. I preferred my old one where you released a lever and it emptied at bottom via a spout.

I ordered this as I like to iron on the hangers as it is a lot quicker!! This is fab and so easy to use!! Wish I had bought it ages ago!! <3 xxx
It’s lightweight, it has lots of steam and a long power cord and steam hose so plonk the base unit on your ironing board and get going, ironing is now soooo easy wish I’d bought this years ago.

Bit noisy when the steam is in use but works grea
This is a very good iron , but on pressing steam button it seems to delay the bursts of steam , sometimes until I put the iron back on the rest place , otherwise it irons well

Fabulously easy to use, the steam is generated after only a few seconds. The iron glides over fabrics, and it takes only seconds to iron a top/shirt. Reccomend this iron, it’s brilliant.

Really like this iron. It’s lightweight, heats up quickly and the water hasn’t run out yet, despite getting through 2 full baskets of ironing yesterday. Takes a bit of getting used to when to push and release the steam button, takes a second or two before the steam comes through but irons really when you get the hang of it. Also a great price on Amazon.
Great performance, my only criticism is the blue light down the front is not good. When moving the iron around the light is like a strobe and made me nauseous. I had to put a sticky label over it. My fear is it causes a seizure in epileptic users. Don’t know why it needs this long blue light right down the front, I have emailed Russell Hobbs directly to express my concerns.

My only Criticism is Can not fully empty the Water reservoir.

Love almost everything about it, apart from an annoying flaw with the sole plate that curls the edges of cloth up, like the bottom of shirts. I have to watch the direction of the iron when doing edges. The water tank is a good size and I like the chunky handles on everything. It’s really easy to move the whole thing about and to separate the water container. I live in a very soft water area, so I can’t comment on lime scale filtration.
I absolutely love this iron! Well worth the price and compared to others of this standard was a bargain! Heats up very quickly and is super powerful, I used to work in an ironing shop with professional irons and this is just as good, gets through the ironing quickly and really easy to store as it’s not too big.
The steam it produces is more than enough for standard household ironing. Some of the reviews have said about the time lag in the steam button being pressed and the steam coming out. There is a lag but it does work and you get used to it.
For the price, it represents great value.
Positives, heats up really quickly, easy to fill and empty and nice weight.
Negatives for me are the blue light on the iron is very annoying it has the same effect on your eyes as ironing a stripey top.
Also steam doesn’t stop for a while after releasing the steam button.

Good, light iron. Unfortunately, there is an edge on the iron that catches on edges of clothing that creases these edges, hence the 4 stars. Also gets too hot for some cottons. Everything is else is very good. Light weight and easy to use
It’s very easy to use, works well with plain Tap Water in my area. There’s a lovely feel to the iron, the steam kick is excellent and worked through the tough creases quickly. If anything it’s a little too light, but it works as well as any iron with more heft.
First use, remember to remove the protective film! I didn’t not it, it melted but don’t panic, allow to cool down and it peels off beautifully.
bought this as my other generator iron died. this is great get lots of steam so much easier to iron your clothes i suffer RA so my hands are weak but with this its ok well worth the money
This replaced another RH generator iron we had, seems to work well, takes a bit of getting used to the delayed steam on and off when using the trigger but no complaints, nice smooth base plate makes the ironing easie

The first one I recieved leaked water but I spoke to amazon and another was sent the next day.
I’m very happy with it, no problems. It has been very easy to use. I would definitely recommend.

What can one say about this steam generator iron bought to replace another steam generator
iron when broke. lightweight and easy to use but its annoying to have a rat tat sound when generator passes water to iron. Previous one didn’t make that noise.
The biggest adjustment to get used to was the heat and steam setting compared to my previous steam iron which I kept on the same setting for everything. Do need to keep on slow setting for non-cotton clothes otherwise is starts to stick and drag.
On the plus side, is ready to use quickly, very light, doesn’t use much water and seems not had any complaints with my ironing!

For the price, you get a great iron with strong steam capability. I love the limescale collector as this usually clogs my irons up but with the Russell Hobbs you can just remove from an insert. Irons my clothes well. I recommend this iron for everyday items.
Obviously not as good as dearer ones in that not much detail on the controls but as I just wanted a straight forward iron this hits the spot perfectly. Plus it didn’t cost silly money.
I got this iron today and I honestly could not wait to write this! I love to iron, no shame, and this iron is super light weight but amazing! I previously had a Tefal similar one and it was so heavy I don’t know why I’ve not swapped sooner! Limescale filter and a second filter with removable water tank, easy storage and a plug space. Highly recommend!

This is the best iron I have ever owned! Irons all clothes easily and quickly. Steady stream of steam at all temperatures. It is very lightweight which is great if you have to iron a lot of items or you have problems with arthritis etc. The water tank is easy to fill and lasts ages. This iron makes ironing an actual pleasure rather than a chore.

Presses well and heats up fairly rapidly. I love the fact you can turn it on or off at the base and not just at the plug. It’s sturdy and well made.

Love this iron. This is my second one and performs much better than the Morphy Richards one. Love the stainless steel sole plate.

This iron coupled with a wider ironing board has halved the time it takes for me to iron the many sheets I need to iron as part of my work. As the water reservoir holds more water I do not have to keep adding water. There is a lot more steam so it’s more effective. The iron is a lot lighter so less likely to give repetitive strain injuries. Ironing used to be my least favourite job, but unbelievably I don’t mind it now. Love it!
I do really like this and the only improvement that would give it 5 stars is if it had a water spray at the front as well as the other features. Other than that, love it.

his has been a good iron for 3 years, sadly steam generation has dwindled down and filters are almost impossible to obtain even from Russel Hobs. despite changing filters regularly the machine has finally limescaled up so that there is virtually no steam generated. Filters are the downside, why a cleanable system could not be fitted i do not understand.
