easy to fit into existing hole on my kitchen top. looks good when new. easy to use. much better than my old one. comes with more wires to connect than my existing one had. had to change connection unit to be able to accept all the wires. not sure what scratch resistant really means anymore because this scratches very easily but ok for the price.
I loved this hob and it’s so easy to use when you get the hang of it plus wasn’t overly expensive, always use hob cleaner and soft cloths on it.
This product works well, is easy to install and looks fairly good for the price.
My only issue is that with the controls being on the front it’s too easy to switch on the hobs by a simple lay down of a spoon or movement of a pan. Not really good when you have a very small kitchen with minimal working space

Love my new hob, was easy to install, good value, looks good & works brilliantly. Very easy to use. The touch buttons are very sensitive though so I would recommend locking them when using the hob, it’s very easy to unlock again. Overall really pleased & would recommend.

Not classed as an ‘essential purchase’ in these current troubled times, it was online to replace the blown one rather than pop down to the electrical shop and see what was available! Of course, it also meant that we had to take things at face value not being able to see it in the flesh, so to speak, but you can’t go without a hob for long (even if a glass of wine suddenly becomes essential rather than a mug of hot chocolate)!
So, this was a gamble but, I am happy to say, one that has paid off.
It arrived promptly via courier appropriately emblazoned with ‘FRAGILE’ everywhere possible & impeccably packed in polystyrene inside, although it did take two of us to extricate it from the cardboard box.
It dropped into the existing cut-out with no problem, the design being a flusher fit around the edges than the last, andthere are no knobs to worry about cleaning around.
Elegant in black with discrete branding and ‘SCHOTT CERAN’ on the two back corners, the logical (to me) touch control panel is all at the front.
There are 2 different sizes of ‘cooking zone’ (which I call ‘ring’).
Not being used to touch control, it did take a little while to get used to the functionality, but it does seem to be much more efficient than the last one, with my usual favourite pans simmering at a lesser heat.
The default on turning the ring on is ‘5’ and it is easy to increase (up to 9) or decrease, as is relevant.
The control shows flashing ‘H’ in red where the ring is not cooled down sufficiently, as a safety precaution.
We don’t really use the TIMER FACILITY and are passed the stage of worrying about the child lock functionality, but it appears to be easy to use all when required, referring to the straightforward 28-page INSTRUCTION MANUAL supplied (in English only).
There is an OVER HEAT PROTECTION & AUTO SHUTDOWN, both also described in the manual, which also covers CLEANING & MAINTENANCE and benefits from a TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE.
The only problem I have had is down to user error, i.e. habit, rather than the hob, and that is switching the whole thing off if wiping away a dribble! It is easy to turn back on again in such an instance.
Guarantee ~ 1 year (2nd year free + option to extend beyond online, which is easy to do, with the aforementioned SERIAL NUMBER required).
All has been going very well in the kitchen for well over a month now…if it changes, I will be back to update.

another Major Fault is the fact that the built in timer device is so quiet you have to strain to hear it.
But on the plus side as our old hob was basically worn out (an old Hygena unit) this one is far better, Plus the fact I was pleasantly surprized to find it was somewhat cheaper to buy online from Amazon than one of the larger online retail outlets

It heats quickly which is good. Also I recommend keeping the main wall switch off, especially when cleaning it as you can switch the plates on by accident. Generally I am very pleased with it.

I did a lot of research before ordering this hob and am really pleased with the excellent quality of the product. It looks sleek and stylish and I can’t wait for it to be installed in my new kitchen. Very speedy delivery after ordering and packaged really well.
When looking for an induction hob (can you see what’s coming here), this came third in the list. Now, induction does use electricity so I bought this. Turned up nice and quickly and once I had cut the right size hole in the work top it took me about 10 minutes to install. And then 15 second to find the problem, as it got hot almost instantly. “This is great” my friend said “I can’t believe how quickly it warms up”. But induction hobs don’t get hot I thought. Then the orange light stays to flow and all becomes clear. If I had wanted halogen I would have been very happy. Instead I had a whole I my counter until my new job arrived.

It’s been working fine. Controls are as good as they can be. The only slight difference to our old model (Stoves) is that the cooking zones are slightly less responsive. But that is not really a big drawback, just noticed it.
Super easy to fit into existing hole with 4 clips screwed underneath afterwards.
Compared to the samsung the russell hobbs offers schott glass which is supposed to cleaneasier.
It has a timer.
The controls are faster to respond.
The power cable is already attached with thick heat resistant coating.

Is 100 cheaper.
