Ryobi OLT1825M 18V ONE+ Cordless Grass Trimmer, 25cm cutting width (Bare unit)

Straight out of the box very easy to assemble, I bought a bare unit as I already have a 5ah battery with my Ryobi lawn mower, First use I used it for around 15 minutes and it used very little of the battery capacity only down one bar when I put it on charge to see how much my 5ah battery had depleted.

The auto spool I found doesn’t work and in all honesty to a point I wouldn’t expect it to as it has the same build as any other electric strimmer spool head, but it does have a small button on the spool which you press and more line can be pulled out as required,

Overall very impressed it did a great job around lawn edges and fences etc, it’s very quiet compared to my old strimmer and of course the sheer simplicity of been cordless make things so much easier.

I say check what you are buying as there are options for the unit on its own, no battery or charger and combinations of these.
It’s a great tool and I bought a high capacity battery with this, separately so I could be sure I got the battery I felt it needed.
Boxed with cardboard only packaging which was nice, so easy to recycle and almost ready to go out of the box – just need to adjust the line.
I have used this multiple times now and still on the first battery charge. I would say that a fully charge 18Ah battery would power this for more than an hour of use. My garden is a good size but not huge. After half a dozen uses the battery is still reading almost full.
Great product and you I am sure you could use a smaller power battery easily enough – I have the drill and jigsaw using the same power packs but smaller batteries and I will give one of these a try and see how it lasts.

Replaces an older Ryobi strimmer. Have lots of 18v batteries so made sense to get another one. So far so good.

Best purchase ever, does what it’s supposed to, and the battery lasted a long time!

Fonctionne bien, l’air solide, est ergonomique. A priori aussi puissant que mon ancien coupe bordure filaire de marque Bosh. Trs satisfait de l’achat.

Outil efficace et trs simple manier. J’ apprcie particulirement le fait qu’il soit super lger. Je suis ravie de cet achat. Un outil super pratique pour entretenir un jardin.
Comme j’ avais dj une trononneuse de la mme marque j’ ai pu utiliser les batteries que j’ avais dj. Du coup, petit prix pour travail nickel. Super. J’ ai mme russi dbroussailler des herbes hautes et touffues dans des coins pas trs accessibles.
Le fil est rallonger au bout d’un certain temps. Forcment plus les herbes sont difficiles couper plus celui-ci est renouveler car il s’altre pendant la dure de la coupe.
On devient vite accro cet outil.

I have 3 different models of this machine from Ryobi.This is the lightest,easiest to use of this model.Impressed,does a really good job.

Easy to use and is quick to change different cutting

I’ve used electric (the lead is annoying) and petrol (to much trouble to fill and heavy to use) grass trimmers. I do not have 12″ grass or shrubbery to cut and I wanted something easy and quick to use with minimal hassle,

This item arrived and at first I thought they had sent an empty box, The grass trimmer is lightweight but very effective and serves all the needs I have. I especially like trimming the grass to flower borders and the result is resounding. All you have to do is hold a button whilst swivelling the bottom section. It is lightweight so is far from a chore.

The only negative I have found and it was the same with the electric and petrol trimmers is that it fails to auto feed the line when it gets short.All three that I have mentioned were auto feed but failed to deliver on that fact but please do not let that put you off buying this model as due to its lightweight, it is a doddle to do it manually.

I would happily recommend this to anyone who does not have an overgrown grass field.

Good battery life, light and easy to use, tackled long grass and weeds in untended garden.

This new addition to my growing collection of One+ tools is as impressive as all the others (drill, reciprocating saw, sander and more). I’ve just spent my first happy half hour with it, going round all the edges my robotic mower can’t get to. That meant using it as both a horizontal trimmer and a vertical edger — easy to convert, and works equally well in both modes. It’s lightweight and comfortable in the hands.

I’m confused though. The image and description on Amazon are completely wrong. I didn’t receive a OLT1825M but a Ryobi OLT1832 which seems to be superior, e.g. with a more easily adjustable handle length, head angle and cutting width.

It takes 1.6mm line but there’s still plenty left on the spool, so I can’t tell you how easy it is to load. Instead of ‘bump’ to feed line (which you’re explicitly told not to try), you take your finger off the trigger and then, when the head has almost stopped, squeeze the trigger again. The line feeds a few mm every time you do that. It works well.

This is a superb tool and there’s no way I’d revert to a corded trimmer.
