I personally picked up this keyboard to use with my ipad pro 12 inch. I must say it is a perfect companion especially with the grey color choice which matches my apple trackpad and ipad very nicely.

Besides the look and feel of this keyboard being premium it provides an additional handful of useful options.
    * Perfect length size as it is the exact length of my ipad pro 12 inch.
    * Backlighting keys (only in one color though but with 10 brightness levels)
    * The keys are large in size where you wont be pressing other keys by accident.
    * Function shortcut row
    * LED indicator for CAPS lock, FUN lock and battery charging LED
    * Can LINK up to 3 BT devices
    * Comes with two rubber stubs to be able to lift the keyboard to a more angled view
    * Comes with USB C to USB C cable that is used for charging and can also be used as a wired keyboard solution.

One other huge benefit with his keyboard and its battery level is that this works with the Apple battery widget. I have not come across any 3rd party KBs that are compatible with this widget so I was happy to see this manufacturer was able to get this to work.

The one issue I have faced with the keyboard is typing errors. First I was feeling that the keyboard was not registering all the key presses and it was a BT issue.
The more I use it, I am feeing that since the individual keys are pretty large and need a little force to press, its more of a physical typing user issue rather then electronically. I am hoping overtime as this keyboard gets used more frequently the keys will register a bit more easily and wont have to be pressed down so much, as the key travel time might be the issue on not all keys registering. I am coming from an apple keyboard where the slightest touch would register and with this one it takes a little more persistent push of a key. So I am feeling this typing experience will get better overtime as it seems to have already gotten better.

    Well done Satechi.
Hope they continue to make revisions with this keyboard on updating BT version and look into the travel time on the key presses and it’s Sensativity.

    Perfect desktop companio

Read many negative reviews but want to experience it by myself, at $49.00, it is good deal.
Nice design with good feel, can be paired with 3 devices, backlit keys, color match with my MacBook.
I also have Apple keyboards and other as well, but this one is one of the best, I highly recommend this.
I love it and I’m glade that I bought this keyboard.

Prima toetsenbord, voelt solide aan en typt lekker, helemaal zoals ik verwacht had. Net niet het originele apple toetsenbord, maar zit er heel dicht tegenaan, absoluut z’n geld waard.

In every way including cost this outshines the overpriced Apple magic KB .

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve only had this keyboard a day but so far it’s really good. I’m coming directly from the Apple Magic Keyboard (full size), and while this does feel different it’s about as close as you’re going to get.

The keys have a tad more travel, it feels like one of the older MacBooks circa 2010, which isn’t a bad thing. The backlight works well too, there’s a little bit of bleed around the keys as well as the actual letters lighting up, which I think is by design rather than a technical limitation. It would have been nice to have a UK keyboard layout option, but it’s not the end of the world. shift + 3 is the sign if anyone is wondering.

The build quality is very good, it’s up there with the Apple Magic Keyboard. The grey colour of the keyboard doesn’t match the space grey of the Apple magic keyboard exactly, it’s a slightly lighter shade (see attached photograph). It doesn’t bother me as I’m using it together with an Apple Magic Mouse which is black on top, but I could see it being an issue if you were looking to colour match to the Magic Trackpad.

Connectivity seems good. It paired with my M1 Mac mini with no issues, and wakes the computer from sleep just fine. The keyboard can be paired with up to 3 wireless devices, and can be used wired as well. I haven’t encountered the issue with the keyboard not being recognised at the login screen, or with key presses registering more than once – which was mentioned in a couple of the other reviews. It all works fine for me.

The function keys labeled for screen brightness don’t seem to work though. I have an Apple Thunderbolt Display connected to my Mac mini, and using the same keys on my previous keyboard adjusts the screen brightness. I don’t know if I’ve not set it up correctly or something, but the rest of the function keys work fine and do as you would expect.

Over all I’d give this keyboard 5 stars. While it’s not perfect, the price is reasonable and I think the score needs bumping up a bit as it should be more than 3/5. Until Apple decide to make the space grey Magic Keyboard in the smaller size, this is the nearest you’re going to get.

I rarely write reviews for ANYTHING. However, I have been searching high and low to find a Space Gray/Black rechargeable keyboard to “match” the look of the Apple trackpad and the Logitech MX Master 3 Mac Mouse.

Since I didn’t want a Space Gray keyboard WITH included keypad (the only one that Apple currently provides), I felt like I was just out of luck. THEN, I ran across a review for this keyboard. If you don’t install the little rubber pads to raise the keyboard slightly for better typing angle, it is about the same thickness and size as the Apple trackpad as you can see in the photo. VERY nice! However, WITH the pads, the typing angle is improved and still has that “Made-by-Apple” look. Add the illuminated keys (variable brightness included), the “soft-touch” keys, great key travel and feedback, and the ability to pair it with 3 different bluetooth devices, recharging capability, etc. and you have a STELLAR looking and functioning keyboard. I’ve just had it a day, but am THRILLED with it all already.

Superb RECHARGEABLE Keyboard for Mac that Matches the Space Gray Look of Other Accessories
