As I bought it for a Christmas present it hasn’t been used yet but I’m sure my 18 month old niece will love it . I only gave it 4 stars as it came in a plastic bag and not the box as advertised so it looks cheap when giving it as a gift. Apart from that I am pleased with it .

Love this bug bike! So easy to use and store it just folds away so you can take it any where, great for as they grow as the handle bars can be extended!

Very pleased with this really nice looking sturdy toy. Great for indoor use as a small child couldn’t do too much damage because only the wheels could bang into things. Probably quite limited in the age of child that can use it, our child is just two and is already close to growing out of it. But it probably wouldn’t take the weight of a larger child anyway.

Easy to use for a toddler, my 16 months old loves it. I got for her a wooden balance bike and she just couldn’t get on with it, replaced it with a scuttlebug and she loves using it.

A Xmas gift for my 1 year old. She loves it and is learning to push herself. Only negative is that it is quite low (not sure if it’s just her in particular) but would be good if it had height adjustments. Other than that, I’m happy with i

Fab little bike for kids. Fits easy in the car as well as it folds down nice and neat. Lightweight but very sturdy. (My eight year old often sits on it and it’s still in one piece lol)

Very good value and easy to fold. I actually bought the wrong type. I had seen a slightly different version which has four double wheels like castors. This four when model is a bit more expensive but worth paying the extra for. It is much more stable and more manuverable. As both models look quite similar it is easy to order the wrong one.

I bought the Scuttlebug Beetle bike for my grandson’s first birthday and it was an instant success. It was very easy to put together and he instantly pushed it and examined it like a little mechanic! There’s plenty of time for him to learn how to ride it but he loves it anyway. My older grandchildren had both had them and equally loved them so I felt confident buying this one

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThe quality of this product for 20 is absolutely outstanding! My 16 month old loves this and immediately knew how to climb on and push it along with his feet.. Outside he prefers to stand up and push it along which is funny to see! He’s 40lbs and 3′ tall and this ride on is a good size for his age/abilities. I think once he’s too big for this we’ll get the next size up.
The wheels are silent so can use this indoors without a racket.

    Bargain of 2020!

Super lightweight but sturdy ride on. Ideal for 2 years old. Not great on grass but I didn’t expect it to be! Cute design, little one likes the face. Recommended. A bit stiff to fold down but easy enough. If it wasn’t stiff then kids would probably hurt themselves in the mechanisms!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersSuch a great ride on. I think they are a great introduction to riding bikes or scooters. Small enough to ride around the kitchen table and to start quite little kids on but also sturdy enough for big kids to sit on when they visit. My favourite thing about them is that you can collapse the wheels in and fold them up small enough to pop under the pram and take them out to the park. My kids loved riding them around the local park and it meant that when we got scooters 6 mnths later, they already knew how to steer and push with their feet. They pict up scooters and balance bikes really fast and I’m sure it’s because they loved their scuttlebugs and ride them every day.

I bought this as a birthday present for a 1 year old. It’s the perfect size and seemed sturdy and well made. That said my 3 year old had a turn and he enjoyed it too, so I can see it having longevity.

I was impressed that it folds up, so handy to put in the boot of the car or to carry to the park. I’d even imagine due to the compact size it would fit in many pram baskets. They are obviously very popular as I see kids on them all the time.

    Would recommend.

Purchased for my Nephew’s 1st birthday. Decided to buy one for him as I work in a nursery where we have several, the children from 1 up to 4 love them, they are used daily by at least 25 children and after a year not one of them is worn or damaged, so I thought it would be an ideal long lasting gift for my Nephew.

He was totally enthralled with the ‘trike’, had no problems with quickly finding how to ride it and has spent many hours in their house and level garden ‘driving’ the trike everywhere. Highly recommend the toy for its fun level and also the exercise that results from the extensive use! And under adult surveillance it’s safe to use.

And the best thing is that it folds, so can take it with you anywhere and doesn’t take a lot of space. Love the variety of colours, yellow is the best one in my opinion! Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersMy one year old loved this as his 1st birthday present. He can’t reach the floor yet, but he has worked out that if he lifts his legs out in front of him, his mummy and daddy can push him up and down until he’s fed up/we’re fed up! The trike is made really well and it’s really useful that you can fold it up, so it’s easily portable (we even put it in the pushchair basket when we go to the park). Once he’s bigger, it’ll be a great trike for him to let off steam on, so it’ll last for a few years.

These are brilliant little things. My son has had his for a few years and he absolutely loves it so I bought this for my niece for xmas. They fold up so small you can stick it in your bag or the basket of the buggy. When it’s up it looks so neat and itsnt big and cumbersome like a trike. Easy to ride and manoeuvre for little ones. I couldn’t say a bad word about it and Iv had one for 2 years so it’s had plenty chance to break or get bored of and neither has happened.
I wish they would make a bigger version for kids 3-5yrs too.

I saw this and the reviews looked great so thought I’d give it a go. I was a bit short notice with buying this to his birthday so was hoping for a fast delivery! Well… I had an instant dispatch email! And the next morning his bike had arrived!!!

I opened it up and LOVE the size. It’s big enough for my two year old but it’s small enough to nicely put to the side when it’s put up but something that’s even better is that the legs fold down and it goes tiny so u can store away or u can pack it up to take on holiday easily or to take out with you!

Well we wrapped it up and on his birthday he LOVED IT. It’s been a few weeks now and he still rides it every day around my house and garden. Round shops. To the park etc!

I would definitely recommend this bike!

My son loves this! I got this rather than an egg for Easter and he thinks it is fab! No assembly, it just unfolds straight from the box. Really sturdy and well made, the colours are lovely and bright and I would highly recommend this item to anyone who is thinking of getting one.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersI bought this in May, and my daughter was only 14 months old. She wasn’t too interested in it at the time, never went to it on her own and if I sat her on it she would stay there a few seconds then get off and toddle off to do something else. She only began walking in may too, so when this arrived she wasn’t very steady on her feet yet and I think this may have had an impact on her confidence. She didn’t feel very secure perched up on the seat.
However, around 18 months old, the scuttlebug seemed to become far more interesting. She started sitting on it herself, and couldn’t quite figure out how to make it move forwards, so would either go backwards, or would stand on the floor, holding the handlebars, and just sort of walk along with it between her legs!
She’s now 20 months old and has got the jist. She’ll jump onto it, yell ‘zoom zoom!’ and speed off around the house. I’m forever finding it in whatever room she’s abandoned it in, or being rammed in the back of the legs by it!
Occasionally it will topple over, I think this is just when she gets too excited and tried to go faster than her legs are capable of holding her steady.

It is a fantastic size, it folds up so small you can take it anywhere, and it’s not very heavy.

We’ve had no problems with it being too small for her. Saying that, she’s very small for her age, however I do think it’s going to be perfectly useable for a while. I’m expecting it to get a lot of use in the garden and on walks next summer.

I would say that it’s better when they’re at an age where they’re steady on their feet and confident with walking, it requires leg power and coordination for them to move.

My son loved this although he’s now grown out of it and onto a balance bike. This was prob the toy he used most until his legs got too long! Really built his confidence and speed and I’d say this was the best money I’d ever spent on an outdoor toy

This was bought as a gift as my son had had one and loved it. It’s very handy to fold the legs up and transport it for trips out. They are great fun .
Note- these are small which is great for me as my Son was , but if your children are very large they may outgrow it quickly.

Bought this for my 18 month old boy for christmas, husband wasn’t too sure and saw it as just a ride-on he wouldn’t use. Husband very wrong our son loved it and goes on it at least once a day. It’s the perfect size for him and he loves he can use it by himself without any help. One of the best toys/ bikes I’ve ever bought.

Just as described, well made & no assembly required. My 2 year old loves it. I only wish we had got it earlier as he’s already a bit big for it, but it doesn’t stop him whizzing round the house. It now goes everywhere with us & he loves chasing/being chased by his friends on it. I’ve since been asked to get another as a present for one of his friends.

Nursery children love it. Even though it’s small the older ones like it too. Very appealing, lightweight to store, but seems sturdy enough. Youngest children (just 2 years) sometimes tip off until they get used to it and realise they need to balance a little, but quickly get the hand of it and it’s a new skill they’ve mastered. If lasts well will buy another.

It took my son a while to get to grips with this – i think he was too young when we got it – but he now (20 months) whizzes around the house on it and he loves it. It is well made, but light to carry, however, it is definitely for small children as it is low to the ground: I can’t see how he’ll still be using it at 3 years old.

he can hop on to it and off I love the item it’s not to big and doesn’t take up so much room bright coloured which I think it’s why my little boy like’s it my little boy has learnt to go forward and back and is able to use his legs and feet easily I would recommend this
if you have a little one 🙂

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDaughters both love the scuttlebug! Used inside to get used to steering and propelling by our 18month old, the perfect size for her! Our older daughter loves to have a go too! It’s easily portable with folding to take in the car and fit in for holidays. Would highly recommend, especially as when we bought this it was on special offer!

I bought the Scuttlebug for my 2 year old grandson – it arrived the next day – He adores this toy, as soon as his eye opens he wants his scuttlebug and zooms round the garden. This toy folds down to almost nothing and fits in a carrier bag for easy transport to the park, we even took it on a weeks holiday with us and my grandson was scutterling everywhere.
Hours of fun and good exercise for the children. worth every penny.
