DIN EN 14604
Our smoke alarms are all tested and certified according to the DIN EN 14604 standard. This means that the smoke detector fulfils legal requirements and performance criteria which are specified in the product standard.
Integrated heat detector
This smoke detector not only sounds the alarm when smoke enters the inside of the device, but also when the room temperature is above 54°C. This means that excessive heat also causes the alarm to go off.
Photoelectric smoke detector
The core of a photoelectronic smoke detector is the “optical chamber”. The optical chamber contains an infrared light emitting diode and a sensitive light sensor. As soon as smoke enters the optical chamber, the light is scattered. When the scattering causes sufficient light to fall on the sensitive light sensor, the alarm is activated.
Radio linked smoke detector
Up to 15 smoke alarms of this type can be networked together. The radio range is designed for apartments and single-family homes and is approx. 20m, depending on local conditions.

Many are saying wrongly that these Alarms do not comply with Scottish Legislation which states that the – “sealed battery alarms — which should be tamper-proof long-life (which can be up to 10 years) batteries.”
When breaking these Rule request down firstly any batteries that are fitted into these Alarms are placed into a sealed battery compartment and can only be removed if you lift open the red sealers holding down these batteries into their sealed in position. Further with saying that they SHOULD BE tamper proof is not saying that they MUST BE temper proof since with by further saying Long Live batteries up to 10 years and not these batteries themselves MUST last for 10 years thereby allowing you to change any batteries at periods up to 10 years when needed as required when further thereafter the whole Alarm Unit at around after10 years of continuous use might need replacing. It makes no sense otherwise to just say that these Units can only be used for up to 10 years and then you will need to replace the whole unit instead of just simply replacing the batteries for up to 10 years should they need replacing within 10 years. So YES these Alarms are Scottish Law compliant as the Rules currently stand.
These Unit are good, and you can use them as both as an Heat and/or Smoke Alarm for they are for a duel purpose.
So it’s got AA batteries and not lithium it still would weaken you up in a stadium.
What would MSPs know about alarms except brown paper envelopes.
They were the easiest to set up to make them interlink, but got there in the end. These are perfect if you live in Scotland and by law must have interlinked alarms by February. These were cheaper and better than some I looked at.

Really easy to install and set up. Great design with the magnetic pads. Would definitely recommend.
Do a search on Youtube on how to pair them, once done stick the magnetic plates on to each detector, and the plain plate on the ceiling. Place the detector on to the plate and done. Checked operation using a flue smoke tester and once the first one triggers takes a few seconds for the rest to respond. Pleased with these.

I’ve bought a couple of these to start replacing my fire angel wirelessly linked alarms. They are a bit tricky to pair following the written instructions but a doddle if following the video. No false alarms yet. Unlike the fire angel, these take 2*AA batteries which can be replaced. The “10 year” fire angels all had low battery warnings after 2 years and their support became very difficult about returns, I would never buy their products again.
Just a bit difficult to get them to interlink, more down to the instructions than anything else and watch if you are thinking of a heat detector the GS412 will not link up with this model, I had to say battery life was good haven’t had them long enough to find out.
Not fitted yet but will be fitted when my Electrician is free

I found it really complicated to link these but maybe I’m just stupid.
Interlinked alarms legally required in all homes in Scotland from February 2021. These meet the need perfectly at relatively low cost. Easy to set up and mount.
The alarms are easy to setup – look for the Sebson Youtube video (in German, but you just want
to see the steps). Basically:
– set out the alarms on a table or similar
– press and hold the button on one of the alarms (the master) until it has gone through 3 cycles and shows a solid red light
– press the button on each of the other alarms briefly – the alarm will pair and flash
– if it doesn’t flash, just press the button again
– repeat for all the other alarms
– test by setting off one of the alarms
– distribute the alarms around your house
I bought the magnetic version. These were very easy to attach – just peel off the protector on one pad, attach
it to the ceiling, peel the corresponding protector off the other pad, attach it to the alarm, reach up with the
alarm and the installation is done. This is much better than having to find joists in the ceiling to drill into – you can place the detectors anywhere you like, and it is quicker and less messy. So far the detectors have stayed up (most
of our ceilings are 1980s artex, rather than smooth plaster, so this is pretty good!). I made sure that if they did fall down, they wouldn’t fall onto an ignition source (e.g. a cooker/fire), of course. If the adhesion does fail, I will probably just use a dab of gorilla glue.
I have bought smoke detectors for my hall and landing, living spaces, and bedrooms, plus a heat detector for my kitchen. I have kept my previous detectors as well. This is probably overkill, but means I’m not dependent on any single detector and reduces risk if any battery fails (the house is quiet, and I can hear any one of them from my bedroom anyway, so the interlinking is probably redundant!).
They are quite loud – if you have thin walls, I wouldn’t set them up or test them late at night! I haven’t tried setting them off for real yet, but I have enough redundancy now that I’m not too worried about.
If you have any Amazon Echos and don’t mind the privacy implications, Amazon is supposed to be releasing something called Alexa Guard, that actively listens for sounds of smoke detectors and will alert you. I think it is US only at the moment, but once it’s in the UK, it could work nicely to give you a remote warning, giving you additional protection (it also works as a burglar alarm). That could be great for e.g. a holiday home, or when you are away from the house.
Overall, a good purchase that will help protect my family, and will keep my home legal without major disruption.

Tolles Produkt gleich mit Magnethalterung ohne Bohren super . Beschreibung schlecht schaut euch lieber gleich auf YouTube das Video an dann funktioniert auch die Funkverbindung untereinander.

Sehr leicht zu montieren mit den Magnethaltern, die mithilfe von Klebepads an der Decke und Gert befestigt werden.
Unkomplizierte Vernetzung untereinander, allerdings ist mir der erste vor Schreck fast aus der Hand gefallen. Also laut sind sie und werden mit Sicherheit auch nicht berhrt, was fr mich auch das Wichtigste an einem Rauchmelder ist.

Die Rauchmelder lassen sich leicht Vernetzen aber die Funktionskontrolle zum Schluss muss besser Beschrieben werden . Nach dem der letzte Melder fertig Programmiert ist, muss man 30sek warten um die Funktionskontrolle durchfhren zu knnen, ansonsten gibt es kein Erfolgs Erlebnis. Wenn man diesen Ratschlag befolgt ist es ein Kinderspiel und die Melder laufen ber zwei Etagen Problemlos.

Work ok but as I haven’t had a fire They are not really tested hopeful they will let me know if I need them
However the instructions abouut paairing are c….p (as several reviews point out). It really is very simple….press the switch on the master for about 20 seconds until the light goes solid red. Then press each ‘slave’ until the master starts flashing fast. Then add the second slave etc. Then once you stop adding they will all have a chiirup at each other for around 30 seconds when you think everything has gone crazy. And that’s it. Doesn’t matter which one starts out as the master – it’s the first one you decide to be the master!
I can’t comment about battery life but I read such bad reviews about using Lithium AA cells that I went for Energizer Industrial alkalines as I didn’t wholly trust the unknown brand that came with the detectors.
Finally….the magnetic attachers are also amazing. Stick on, no screws.
I gave 4 stars because I want to see how good the battery life is and the instructions are less than helpful but at the moment I am very happy with the product.

Small, neat unit/s; could emphasise more the fact that it is a combined smoke AND heat detector. No way to test that they are interlinked which is disappointing. The instructions are in such tiny font as to render them indecipherable – absolutely useless. I (literally) had to use a magnifying glass to try and read them – ridiculous!
Ich habe eben 2 Stck montiert, nachdem ich sie vorher vernetzt habe. So weit scheint alles funktioniert zu haben. Die gedruckten Anweisungen sind sehr schlecht zu lesen, weil die Schrift so klein ist. Im Internet fand ich ein Video von Sebson, das die Vernetzung gut erklrt. Daran hielt ich mich.

Anbau und Vernetzung haben eine halbe Stunde gedauert. Es hat sofort funktioniert. Bei dem Geruschpegel kann man die nicht berhren. Nu ist das Ganze Haus sicher berwacht.
A bit of a faff to set-up and not easy to check (I used a smoke pen). Its reassuring that the one on ground floor sets off the one on the second floor as I am not sure we would hear the old ones if we were fast asleep. Although not specified for kitchen use, it has far fewer false alarms than our old one in a similar location, adjacent to the kitchen.
Dar gesamte Ablauf Bestens. Das Gert funktioniert (war leider bei dem bereits retournierten Artikel eines anderen Herstellers NICHT der Fall!).
Die Vernetzung konnte ich Mangels eines 2. Gertes nicht testen. Wird bei der nchsten Bestellung dabei sein.
Had more expensive ones which were supposed to be 10 year, but weren’t. Bought these and they are great. The magnetic discs are cracking as they are easy to put up or take down.
No idea why this product gets slated for being difficult to set up , instructions were simple and worked first time ! AND yes you can test it after despite people saying you can’t ! Just read the instructions , simples.
Bought 3 – Neat and easy to install. Can’t comment on battery life yet but at least they are changeable batteries. Highly recommended.
The English written instructions that come with the products are ambiguous and misleading. Read MB’s review from Jan 2019 as I did and you’ll see actually how easy it is to pair up the detectors. I only wasted half an hour trying to follow Sieben’s instructions before looking at the reviews.
If you dont have 20/20 vision then make sure you have a pair of strong reading glasses to hand to read the instruction sheet that comes with the product.
Having got that lot off my chest these seem to be an effective product – only just installed but got them working across 2 floors . I suspect some of the negative reviews are due to people trying to follow the written instructions! What I specially like is the single large button in the centre of the detector to mute the alarm if you get a falsie and that it mutes for 10 minutes.
Very easy to install. As for linking – follow MB’s advice above and its very clear. Cant comment on battery life as only just bought them. Very impressed so far.

Makes a lot more sense than the badly worded instruction sheet. Very easy set up after that.
Einfache Montage, nur zwei Batterien AA erforderlich. Keine 9 V Blockbatterien. Einfache Verbindung. Hatte noch von anderen Herstellern gekauft. Diese sind jedoch die bessere Entscheidung gewesen.
Bought because of the linking with other heat and smoke detectors, linking was OK after trying to link 5 devices it took a few tries and alot of noise (press test after linking and all 5 devices went off in sequence) 🙂 but all setup and happy with result hopefully never come in to practise!
Neat and smart looking device and super efficient delivery and details included. Thrilled with my purchase which is excellent value for money.
Fiddley to set up but work well under test. Thankfully not been used in anger.
The product is good and was easy to set up
These work perfectly! I was sceptical of buying these after reviews of them apparently not setting off when tested with smoke and the interlink being difficult to use. What a load of rubbish. I’ve recently converted my cellar and therefore thought interlinked smoke alarms would be useful but didn’t fancy the price of hard wired ones. These work great. I used my smoke machine (I’m a dj by trade) to test these and they work as they should. The alarm is loud and the delay between the alarms going off is a couple of seconds. The alarm which has detected the fire emmits 3 loud long tones and the others in the house chirp 2 loud tones out. I’m very impressed. I can’t really comment on range but these have spanned 4 floors just fine but they are vertically aligned. Hopefully I never have to rely on these but if I ever should then I know they’re there.
One in the garage, one in the house, they connect and sound off if either is triggered. I feel a bit safer now.
I really can’t judge these as I have not had to set them off, (I hope I never do|)

Habe ein 6er-Set gekauft. Lieferung zgig und Wre wie beschrieben. Batterien rein und dann noch koppeln. Wenn man sich an die Anleitung hlt und etwas probiert klappt das Koppeln der Rauchmelder gut und geht zgig. Dann nochmal getestet ob alle bei Alarm angehen und dann nur noch aufhngen. Habe dafr die Magnete mitbestellt, ging daher raz faz.
Jetzt mssen sie im Betrieb nur noch tun was sie solle
