Three Night Vision Modes
- In infrared mode, you can see everything happening outside clearly and smoothly through the smartphone app.

I have several cameras of different makes. I live in Manchester and work in Manchester but if I try to view from the office it says connecting. My others work anywhere via the app including Florida. I have to be in my living room to use this one. Am I missing something??
Excellent piece of kit for the money. Not the fastest but really good for seeing what’s going on.
The camera is good and I would by another but the picture isn’t great when zooming in you can’t get number plates on vehicles and people are a blure but it was nice and easy to set up
First off, the price was a bargain. Under 32 with the discount. Secondly, I had this up and running in place in under half an hour. A bit of tweaking in the settings is required to your own liking.
The motion detection can be very sensitive and giving you alerts for the most trivial of intrusions like cats, birds etc but can be altered easily.
The night vision in smart mode is great. It stays in infrared until it detects movement and the the led lights come on giving a clear colour picture.
I have disable the siren as it is annoying others may find it of use in their own particular setup though.
Also note that the power cord is very short so you will require extensions if you are locating this more than 3m from a power source, I bought 2 off 5m extensions for under 6 just in case.
All in all I think this is a very good camera for little outlay.
I have had this camera installed a few weeks now. I am using it with a 128 GB SSD card which means there is no requirement to take out a monthly subscription to cloud storage. Using the SSD card gives you full functionality including notifications to your app. It is an amazing piece of equipment and very well worth the money. The motion tracking is also very good. Initially however it didn’t seem to work that well but apparently it learns during night mode. I learned this when I rang customer support. it is incredibly easy to set up a d took me five minutes to set it up on my Wi-Fi and iPhone. I can fully recommend this.
The camera is good build quality, feels sturdy and strong when I screwed it to my porch.
The motion detection is good, it saves alert points and messages you if you want it to.
The night vision is surprisingly good with the infa red sensors.
I don’t use the motion tracking because I have a small area to monitor, but I tested it and it works, the camera physically moves and follows people moving if you turn that option on.
I had a slight technical problem with saving recorded footage to my album from video already saved on my timeline but I got great customer support from Cecilia at Dekco and the technicians explored it and got back to me.
You can export clips as mp4s to Google drive or email or you can take the SD card from the camera and copy manually to a computer which I tried out myself.
I seen someone else mention that you used to have the option to use colour camera at night without the LED floodlights on, that would have been perfect for me but this is not possible, only black and white in low light/nightiime is possible without the bright lights on.
Bought this on a wim tried it and OMG it’s brilliant so portable I take it in my Motorhome and can watch van when I’m clubhouse. The features on this are really good
I do wish they would use smaller electricall connectors as having to drill a 12mm hole to get plug through when the wire is only 5 mm means a lot of silicone

This is a very good camera easy set up I think good quality I use to monitor the rear garden and it does the the job. The 3 pictures show daytime night when the light comes on from the camera and just normal darkness which I think is very good.

Had this camera for just over a week now and it has been brilliant, both my son and I have the app on our phones and it’s so easy to use.
It was relatively easy to setup following the instructions provided. There was a problem with the night vision at first but it turned out to be an hanging basket too close, now it’s fine. Customer service has been fantastic, I had an email before it arrived, thanking me for the purchase and giving a link to an installation video and a follow up email a couple of days later to check if everything was ok. Very pleased with this product and service
Just be aware, download app before purchase, I found the app is not compatible with my phone which is a 4G Wi-Fi, only a year old, have to use tablet to operate – bit cumbersome. Brilliant performance but app is bit basic. No text SMS features.
Great camera with 2k video resolution and all what is in description, I was testing few cameras 2k cameras but this is the best one for the price and you can use SD storage as well as cloud. Great about notification is that you have stills that you can quickly check before checking the whole video. For this price this is the best value. App is good enough and can be compared to more expensive brand’s as all camera apps have something, is it the connection or crashing when switching between stored videos ( I have similar problems with YI, oasio, wansev view, blink etc. Maybe it’s my phone or internet connection) this one is fairly good. Camera video is great during day and night, I’m using few cameras on few angles so I have lots of IR light in night time. Had one issue with Amazon shipping process but seller support quickly fixed my problems and for that 6 stars should be given.
Everything it’s excellent with this camera, it has a very easy tutorial on how to install, and the quality is eccellent. The downgrade is that the motion sensor it’s too sensible and it even detects the ant’s movement. I’m sure that there is an option to set the motion detection but in rest the camera is super fine.
This little camera is just brilliant. I installed it and a new security light after my Mrs saw someone taking photos over the garden gate. I am amazed how great this camera is for the price. The image is clear, the camera lets me know on the app on my phone if there is any motion detected, it’s also fully operational from my phone wherever I am, and has a two way voice capability, strobe and warning alarm. I am going to buy another one for the front garden asap. Amazing camera, highly recommended.
Seriously, this camera for the price is fantastic. Fantastic quality picture day and night vision and how you can rotate it day or night from your phone even like me in a different country. It’s great. I just hope it lasts all the different weathers now… Only thing is (which is normal) that If there’s Very poor connection either side the rotation can be jumpy but usually changing it to SD from either FHD or HD with a touch of a button.. it’s cool and addictive. No trouble setting it up. No wiring, just power source and need to be around 5-7mtrs ish I forget close to WiFi source… It’s good fun.. not sure do they have more gadgets… Definitely go for it for the price
Bought 2 had trouble connecting to WI-FI at first but now great, great picture and vid quality only down fall is it’s got a alarm for the night time that goes off if it see or hears something which I don’t think you can turn off so potion it righ
great little camera the only thing is we do have trouble with is the fob the buttons need to be designed a little better other than that the camera works fine it was easy to install and it took a while to sort out on my phone once installed on phone I can work it from anywhere even when we are away over 90 miles so the distance is no problem
Simple to set up. I followed the instruction manual, connecting to my router was easy and everything worked first time. I get a clear, sharp, live video stream on my phone as well as movement alerts that can be viewed from the app. These recordings are also clear and sharp.

The app has lots of nice features to control the camera.
I have mine set to Intelligent Vision which records colour during the day and black&white at night. But when motion is detected, the flood lights come on and the camera switches to colour recording.
You can control the pan and tilt from the app to get your camera in the best position.
I haven’t tried the intercom or alarm sound features yet.
If you use motion tracking, the camera will follow the movement then return to it’s original position.
Not much more to add as this would end up more like a novel than a review.
If you’re thinking of buying this Dekco Security Camera, I strongly recommend it. You wont be disappointed.
UPDATE: changed the SD card for a new 128gb Sandisk and this seems to have fixed the problem. Will just have to wait to see if this has solved the problem totally.

Great camera, and for the price is surprisingly good, but after getting the 2k version which not only has a better picture and wider viewing angle, but is also alexa enabled, I would definitely rate it much higher than this model, and for practically the same price if not actually cheaper.

Decided to buy a camera to catch my neighbour throwing dog poop in my garden, bought this one and I’m very pleased with the purchase, easy to install, clear picture, night vision not to bad, motion detection is very sensitive, got 24 notifications through the night checked each picture all that was on was a moth, lol, also recommended the camera to a few friends.
After reading all the reviews I decided to buy this camera. The App it recommends is a bit laggy and even though wi-fi is available close by, it sometimes drops out. However for the price it is a good buy. One thing to be aware of is that it is advertised having a 4x Zoom facility. After struggling to find out how to access it I contacted Dekco support. The only way to access the Zoom facility is via the app by enlarging the image in a similar way to you would with photos on your phone. The image then is blurred and even though Dekco said it has a digital zoom, I would argue that it is the app that provides the Zoom and not the camera. I know that it is only a small thing but I bought this camera as it had a Zoom facility

Looks like sometimes freezes when watching live and motion is detected and start recording at the same time.

First images look quite good. The camera is very responsive using the Android phone app. Very pleased overall. If attaching to a cavity wall, be sure to feed the supply cable through the wall first, then attach to the in-line connector.
After a shed break in & the sons bike was stolen, we decided to invest in a security camera.
I was dubious at first, but since setting it up I’m really impressed with this camera.
It was easy to install and easy to connect to the wifi & I will be buying another for the front of the house.
In assessing the individual aspects of the camera it is only fair to keep in mind the price. On that basis I can’t score it anything less than 5 stars across the board. I now have 2 at my property and purchased a third for a family member.
The only feedback I would like to give the manufacturer with regards to improving it would be a longer lead.
This is an excellent camera and very easy to set up by downloading free, the Edge App. I have two other similar style cameras but this model exceeds both of them. I wanted to place a camera covering my back garden but the other two cameras I have was unable to pick up the WiFi signal. This DEKCO camera picks it easily without any issues. My back garden is, during the hours of darkness, pitch black and my previous camera was unable to show any images at all. This DEKCO camera picks everything out, it’s actually unbelievable. I’m so impressed, I’m in the process of purchasing another.
Another very important point about this camera is, that unlike virtually all this level of camera which have three leads coming from the camera which are :- (a)-the supply cable, (b)-another lead which in effect ‘re-boots the camera and which is only really required when initially setting up the camera (c)-the LAN internet cable which can fit into the modem should you wish to connect the camera directly to the modem which is not normally the preferred way. This therefore means that once the camera is set up and in position, normally at a reasonably high position on the wall etc, then in order to facilitate these three cables 1- obviously quite a large hole has to be drilled through wall. 2-or (b) and (c) above will be left externally on the wall and then covered over/concealed in some way. With this camera, there is only the one cable, the supply cable and so only one small hole to facilitate this has to be drilled through the wall making the fitting of the camera in situ so much easier. Finally, the After Sales staff are extremely helpful. I had a couple of minor technical points I wanted clarifying and emailed the support staff and received a reply the next day. I would highly recommend this DEKCO camera unreservedly and the assistance given by the After Sales Staff.

Nice bit of kit for the price. The only problem being the night vision motion detection is over sensitive with it being set off by rain and bugs all night.
This camera is easy to set up and easy to install.
The main drawbacks with this camera is that you have to be on the same WiFi network to view it so you can view it if you are away from your home.
The cable it comes with is very short and restricts where you can place the camera away from a plug socket.

This camera is to protect the front entrance of our business building. We just needed a simple weather proof outdoor security camera and this fitted our requirements.
It does require WiFi connection through in order to operate it. It is powered via mains power so no need to worry about battery power. Once installed and connected it is a great security camera. The picture and video quality is clear and definitely enough to pick out features if so required. This camera would be suitable for home use as long as your WiFi signal is strong enough.

Bought to monitor my sheep during lambing. Easy to set up and happy with the quality. I bought a WiFi range extender and getting 67% signal strength about 10m from the house.
I am using in my long garden, (about 15m) and the signal is good, had a camera in the same spot previously but signal was weak so I change for this one an I am happy with my decision.
So far nothing bad to say about it.

This is a good camera its a pan tilt and its perfect to be mount it on a corner of the house because you can see in all the angles and cover more space .The picture quality its good and clear and the motion sensor works well.
It has a sd storage and thats why i like it because i don’t want to make any subscription for cloud storage.Its easy to install and you can control it from the phone in all directions.Its a plug in powered but wifi internet connections.
The camera can tilt 90 degrees and rotate almost 360 degrees as well so can be positioned perfectly. The picture quality is very good and even at night the clarity is clear. It also have two-way audio. It’s a very good versatile option for those on a budget, and I may look to get another soon.
The DEKCO 1080p Outdoor WiFi HD Security Camera is an excellent buy if you’re on a budget. For the price, you get a lot of features. The camera is easy to set up and the CloudEdge app is very user friendly. The motion detection works well and it has floodlights, a sound alarm and a two-way feature which all help scare away any intruders. You can also watch live history and use the cloud service. The app allows you to take screenshots, record, move the camera positions from your device, zoom in & out and more. An SD card is required and not included if you want to check the history of activities. There is a cloud subscription service also. The picture quality is very good in both day and night mode. Overall, this a well-made camera that feels reasonably robust and should last. The great thing about this camera is the wide-angle of view and the pan & tilt feature. Moving the camera from the app on my phone is smooth and responsive.
The LED floodlights light up a large area and are very bright, a great feature, and can be turned on or off. Day or night, the camera view distance is impressive, I can see all 3 acres of my property and well beyond that.
I am still learning about motion detection sensitivity, playing with that now to adjust to my liking. The siren is another great bonus along with voice communication. Each of those can be turned on or off.
Don’t bother paying hundreds of on other cameras, this camera exceeded my expectations in every way.

The quality of this WiFi outdoor security camera was actually more than I expected. The picture quality looks crystal clear, and the image delay was decent but above my expectations for a 360 pan tilt security camera. The field of view is wide, and this security camera pans and tilt nice and smoothly for 360 degree monitoring. Night vision and motion detection work well, and the 2-way audio sounds great. Installation, pairing with WiFi and set up are pretty easy, and the app has lots of features for a budget security camera. Highly recommended! I put this security camera in my garden. The motion detection , sound light alarm and 360c view are very good. Feel safety. Easy to setup. Just downloaded the app. I can check it in my phone. Everything is in my control. Two way audio. If I bought some goods. Nobody at home. I can use this function. That ‘s nice. The camera is waterproof . Even is raining and snowing. I need a security camera in my front yard and I got this one from DEKCO as it is waterproof, has a motion sensor detector, IR vision and 2-way audio communication features.
The camera has 2MP 1080P HD resolution and it supports the Micro SD card up to 128GB. It has a human motion detector and will alarm once it detects unnecessary movement. It supports infrared, full-colour and auto (smart) night vision mode making it perfect even if it is dark in the area. This one is IP66 waterproof ensures that the camera will still work regardless of the weather conditions.
Moreover, it is only plug and play, and it supports a live view on your mobile phone and windows pc through using the CloudEdge App. This one is not battery operated so you really need a power source for this to work.
I was amazed by the presentation and quality of this security camera. Its size is just right, not too chunky nor too small. The installation process is very easy as stated in the manual. The images and recordings have a decent quality even at night and the motion sensor detector is not too sensitive so there’s no false alarm.
The only con that I saw is that it is not battery operated so it’s a bit hassle to set up. Since this is also good for the outdoor, I think it would be better if this one is solar powered to utilize the use of the sun.
All in all, this is another great security camera however, it’s a bit pricey compared to those that are battery operated-rechargeable or not.

Just as any other similar priced security cameras, this one as well offers standard image quality as you can expect.
Except all other functions such as motion sensor, two way audio, night vision and alarm are present, another benefit that other cameras do not have is that it is 360 camera. Actually, to be more precise, 350 but advertised as 360 in title(unsure why).
Easy to connect and having stable connection, this camera will offer you perfect security in any corner of your house or property.
Only downside of it is that it requires constant power for it to work. This means camera is not fully wireless but only has wireless connection and no other servers or hubs are required.
Easy to fit and set up, I added an SD card for local storage. First impressions it seems to work well and in my opinion is very good value.
On the whole, this security camera seems to do its job well. It’s fairly easy to install, which is always a plus for me. Ideally, I think security cameras are better smaller, more discreet and darker coloured than this model, unless you specifically want the camera to be highly visible as a deterrent. I guess if it’s situated high enough to be beyond easy reach, its visibility (and therefore vulnerability to vandalism) won’t be an issue. Weatherproof to withstand rain. It has floodlights, motion-detection etc, so it should be an effect deterrent to any unauthorised persons prowling around the house.
This is a good alternative to buying a video doorbell and it’s much more versatile.
Not only does it have motion detection and 2 way audio, you can rotate the camera through 360 degrees for all round vision.
The built in light means I don’t need a separate security light.
You do need to buy an SD card to save any videos but that’s much cheaper than paying a monthly subscription.
Picture quality is good, even at night.

This is a really good value security camera, it basically works right out of the box, plug it in and download the app. Our only problem was working out how to put it up and also run the lead inside to the socket but we finally worked it out as we installed it on the garage which was an easier work around. Once set up we were impressed with the ability to move the view and see much further than a static camera and we now feel our cars and contents of the garage are much safer as this was previously a blank spot for our existing alarm/camera system, it’s also really entertaining watching the animals that come into the garden at night!
I found this camera very easy to fit using the stick on template included. This allows you to drill pilot holes easily, instead of awkwardly trying to mark holes with the camera in place.
Once installed and powered, I installed the cloud edge app and was quickly able to add it to my wifi network, and view live images. Despite being installed at the end of my garden the wifi connection was very good. The pan and tilt functions from the app worked well with very little lag.
You can set up an account for online cloud recording or you can install a micro SD card and record for free. The motion detection works well and the history function on the app allows you to scroll through the day and view clips when motion was detected.
I am really impressed with the quality of videos at night time, the night vision is very good.
I didn’t have any issues with the app myself, but it is a bit worrying long-term to see people complaining about their equipment which has worked fine for years suddenly be disabled due to app changes completely out of their control.
Setting things up involves a rather complex procedure. To begin with one of the first things the instructions tell you to do is insert a class 10 micro (not mini) SD card into the camera. This is not included in the box and must be purchased separately.
NB: I’ll talk about it in more detail below, but I found you can actually use the camera without the SD card but just loose some of the features as a result.
You then need to download the already mentioned app (CloudEdge) onto your mobile phone. The Android version requires version 5.0 or above.
You need the app, wifi access and your camera powered up to do the initial setup of the camera. This process is much easier to do near your router with everything close together. One step has the camera read a QR code off your phone screen and so you probably won’t want to be doing this up a ladder after the camera is installed. For those of you that are very concerned about data protection, you may be a bit disappointed to know you have to provide an email address to the app developers as part of setting up the online account associated with CloudEdge even if you don’t use their cloudstorage service.
The setup process via the Cloud app is very generic (covers multiple devices) and you have to take a lot of what it tells you with a pinch of salt (it gives you instructions verbally as well as showing diagrams on the phone). E.g. it says turn it on via the power button (it doesn’t have one), or tells you to press the reset button — I just skipped that it seemed to work OK. Also tells you to remove the film from the camera lens before getting you to scan the QR code from your phone, again there isnt any film over the lens.
NB: There is film over the light array, but that does affect the picture.
After the initial setup is complete, the camera from then on communicates indirectly via your wifi and no longer directly with your phone. There is no way to directly access the camera via a browser or anything else except the phone app on the phone that was used for the setup. I believe this was done for security reasons so only the phone that set it up can communicate with it. It may be possible to install the app on a computer using an emulator, but I didn’t try it.
You can add the app to additional devices and give them access too, but this involves a gateway of either pairing via the original phone or using the CloudEdge account you setup during the install.
There is no way to connect the camera up with a network cable, all data communication is wireless. Although you could remove the SD card and gain direct access to recordings — though is this is up a ladder it isn’t very practical to consider. The power for the camera comes in via a non-removable cable which exits the middle of the support bracket that faces the wall.
A 3-pin 1.6amp power adaptor with 2m meter cable is provided. The cable coming from adaptor has a male end and the cable from the camera has a female. The connection between the two does not appear weather-proof to me, so you probably want to have this cable connect up inside or within a wall box to give it some protection.
The female connector on the camera end is just over 11mm in diameter, so if you plan to pass this through a wall, you are going to need to drill a hole at least that large. If you want to explore cutting the cables and wiring it up yourself on the other side of the wall, you could get away with a hole only 5mm diameter as the cable itself is quite thin.
A 2m power cable is not that long, especially considering that in the instruction booklet it recommend mounting it 3m above the ground. A lot of people will need to purchase an extension cable or cut and extend the cable themselves to reach a power socket.
Using the app you can remotely rotate the camera either with a swipe on the image on your phone or you can bring up a little joystick control beneath the image (if in portrait) and as you tap on it the camera will rotate accordingly. You can also pinch on the image to zoom in, but the resolution is pretty bad when zoomed in via the app so it isnt that useful.
The camera rotates almost 360 degrees left/right. There is a small area when pointing directly to the rear it can’t reach. The up down goes from straight ahead to directly down. So, you have around 90 degrees of movement there. If you hang it with the white section of the dome upwards (as you should). You have almost total coverage of anything in a 360 arc below.
I was able to get the camera working with my phone and controlling it remotely without even having to insert a micro SD card. The SD card seems to solely be used for holding recordings. I didn’t test it out myself, but there is a cloud storage service as part of the app and it may be possible if that is setup to store all recordings online and still not require the SD card. Again, I didn’t test this out but it may be an alternative option.
By default, after setup, the camera will send alerts to your phone when it detects movement. Each time it does that it takes a screenshot and these can be viewed via the alert message on your phone. These are presumably either stored in the cloud or sent to your phone — I’m not sure which. But they aren’t coming from the SD card as this functionality still worked perfectly fine even without an SD card installed.
From the alert you can access the app and then go into history and view video footage from that time period. This is where you will need the SD card else the history will just be blank if you didn’t install one.
Motion detection can set to only trigger on certain zones of the image or can be turned off completely should you wish. You can set it set it to turn on a light when it detects movement and even sound an alarm at the camera itself.
The night vision is very good (photo attached). It looks like there is a light on in my picture, but it was pitch black and the camera is doing all the work here to give a clear view despite the darkness
Overall this is feature filled product which is very good value for money, but some of the marketing/information could be a bit clearer:
Where is the data from the camera going? Does it go directly to the phone or via a server run by the app developers? Because of the cloud storage associated with the app, I suspect things are getting routed indirectly, which brings up questions about data protection (if you are really fussy about that kind of thing).

Love it it detects soon as the object gets right on it, easy to instal and use. I like that you can rotate the camera to manually change view, you can also zoom in the view up to x4.
I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
This WiFi security camera is good quality and comes with full instructions, power lead, screws and a mount template for easy instalation.
When installing make sure the position is within 2.4Ghz WiFi range and within reach of a plug as this is a wired camera, so no need to remember to charge. Install and format a micro SD upto 128GB is supported.
Before mounting, make sure you follow the set up and pairing sequence close to the WiFi router. It’s possible to add additional cameras in the app and name them as required.
Handy features are the motion sense alarm for security plus the ability to pan the camera round for a 360 degree view. And no hidden costs in the app.
A great camera, I would but additional units for multiple areas.

This is a really good outdoor security camera with Motion Detection……. My husband installed this yesterday, it took him a couple of hours to do as he wanted to fit it securely, he did a good job as its very secure above our front door.
I was hoping this was going to be rechargeable but its not so we had to use an extension Lead.
We downloaded the free app and had it up and running in no time….. We tested it out between ourselves and the 2 way convo works well, I could understand the speach clearly and the image is very clear too….. We are going to get a SD card for it so it can record, it can’t record without that extra SD storage.
So far we have had no issues with this camera, it looks very modern, the quality is good and hopefully it will last a long time.
Can reccomend and the price is reasonable too.
This has very good image quality and also makes use of my favourite security camera app cloud edge, you can also pay for storage via cloud edge on a monthly subscription for cloud storage which is what I do as then all footage is stored online and only I can get it, the night vision on the camera is very good too and the flood light is useful, it can be moved through both the pan and tilt axis from the app too so can cover the whole garden with ease.

The camera is quick and easy to set up even if you are not a very technical person. There is a step by step guide in the instruction booklet which all you have to do is connect the cables and the. Download the app, you then need to use your smartphone to register the camera with your phone. Once set up it can be controlled from your phone and the camera can be viewed.
Takes a few minutes to install but it is very simple. I had no problems.
This is good for your home for example the front door or back garden just generally around your house if you are not in. You can feel safe with this camera as you can check in at any time. Keep an eye on your belongings anywhere anytime, great for monitoring.
It’s a great product and good quality for the price. It’s good how there is a SD card slot so you can have this to record for motion detection for security purposes and there are connections to connect to your alarm system to trigger when motions are detected.
Overall a very good camera compared to other products and works really well and the material is very smooth and strong for long lasting and the quality is very good.
This outdoor WiFi IP CCTV camera certainly looks the part and you’d expect it to work well for 59.99 (reduced to 39.99 now)
The image initially seemed poor when tested indoors, but has certainly improved outdoors.
The app works well. I have a door camera that uses the same system. It’s responsive, records well and the settings are easy to adjust by it.
The night vision is also quite clear and works well. There are also normal LED lights on it.
What’s slightly disappointing us that there is no auto rotate option on the camera. PTZ works well to change it’s position manually, but there’s no way to automate tracking and area scanning: something which could easily have been integrated into the software. For that reason, it won’t be replacing the door camera that I use.
This is OK, but could have been slightly better for the price.
Update: I’ve installed this at my mum’s house, under a covered area in her garden. The image quality definitely seems a lot better outdoors. It’s also quite a fluent image, so live view is quite good. Due to where I’ve installed it, there’s no need for auto rotate, so it’s actually suited quite perfectly to where it was neeed.
This Dekco brand security camera was very straightforward to set up, probably one of the easiest I’ve set up, hubby put it on the outside wall up high to the 1st floor, I plugged it in via the window, it comes with a UK 3-pin plug. The app was easy to download but it’s a bit laggy and there’s an issue with formatting of my SD card, the card works fine but the app formats it then says it needs formatting, so I can’t record videos annoyingly. The images live are very clear and I did have some photos before it started to tell me my SD card wasn’t formatted so it was okay when I first plugged it back in after initially setting up the app. Night vision is good though definitely black and white not colour, panning the camera is wide but again can be laggy sometimes. I will say the camera is close to the modem and the speed is good on that. It’s great I can look left and right, especially I can see our side garden and shed clearly, even in the dark as the camera has infrared lights as well as white LEDs. The motion detection is excellent and prompt messages are quick. It works on Apple as well as android.
In all it’s a good camera with sharp HD just not a great app, hopefully the app will improve as the camera is excellent value for its quality. Please see my photos, I hope my review is helpful to you, thank you for reading it.
I bought 2 of these Decko security cameras to use around my shed that I cannot see from my house. The cameras look to be very good quality and are almost silent when using the PTZ function. They connect using the Cloudedge app which has a very respectable rating compared with many similar apps. The supplied instructions are very easy to follow and the app itself takes you through the set up. It’s well worth watching the videos of how to set up & share these cameras too.
I’ve found the live feeds to be of a very acceptable standard both in the day and at night. The colour night vision is good too and the night vision leds only come on when you live stream or if motion is detected. To me this is a much better option than having the area lit up all night like many colour night vision cameras do. I’ve fitted both with 128gb micro sd cards which is the maximum size they can take. That’s enough for 3 to 4 weeks of recording if set to full day recording after which the oldest data will be overwritten. There’s also an option to record events only if required so you could get away with a much smaller and cheaper sd card.
The camera app also shows the strength of the WiFi connection which, for me, is really useful as they’re a long distance away from my router.
The sellers customer service has also been excellent with a very quick response to questions I’ve asked. I highly recommend these cameras.
