I won’t start from the beginning, but at the end. When I first sat down on it when assembled, I felt like melting away. A nice deep seat and wide enough for my booty. While it feels more like a gaming chair, I can support myself with a back support add-on I bought elsewhere on Amazon to keep my posture straight, or without when I’m just chilling and want to sit back and chill.
Now back to the start. I was really cocky thinking this was going to be an easy feat, but alas it was not. The screws didn’t go in the arms properly and it looks like the screw heads were shaved off for some reason so had to keep trying until they were on properly. The only real bad thing about this was that the paintwork on the plastic on the arms are scuffed which looks a bit crap but hey it’s still a 4 star chair so I’m taking the win.
Overall, buy this for comfort, but be prepared for the extra work in assembling it.
I bought this chair nearly a year ago & was completely satisfied with its quality & comfort, but recently the PU leather on bottom part off the chair started to peel off, so I reached out to Amazon & asked if it’s possible to get a replacement part, but they did something even better – they replaced the whole chair! Absolutely the greatest customer service!
Now, I don’t know if it’s just placebo effect, but this replacement seems even more comfortable than the first chair. I think the cushion all around has been upgraded to a thicker one, but I might be wrong, nonetheless, it’s absolutely a quality chair!

I’m 6’1” and 80kgs.
The chair is very easy to assemble 5/5. Moderately comfortable to sit on 3.5/5. Reclines back nicely and the back is tall enough to rest my head on 4/5. After three months the height adjuster has failed. The chair will still rise and hold its position briefly but will slowly sink back to its lowest position after an hour or two. Hence the 4/5 stars. Overall value for money is 5/5 though. Its a very nice looking chair.
I bought this for my mother, I wish I would have gotten this one before I bought my gaming chair as this is far better, very comfortable, well worth the money.
As usual, I looked at the overall star rating, rather than the negative reviews. It’s important to realise people are much more likely to write reviews if they are dissatified with a product, and people often have mystifying reasons for being upset. My take: this chair is great; very good value for money. Comfortable; nice reclining action. Arm rests are padded, which is more luxurious than the usual bare plastic. Yes, the arm rest mouldings are (probably) resin painted silver, but they are very sturdy and it’s all easy to assemble. Holes were in the right places, just make sure you assemble the way they describe, starting off with the screws part-tightened and then tighten them all bit by bit in rotation, as you would a car tyre – this helps them locate properly. Will have to see if the seat cushioning goes flat after a while (a common complaint), but if the rest of the chair is good, a standard cushion will probably be enough to revitalise it.
Great chair for the price! One thing to look out for though, the seat back has to be either fully upright or fully reclined – there is no option of having it anywhere in between. While this is not an issue for me, others may find this annoying.

Very comfy, good support, nice quality of materials used. Very easy to assemble and they provide extra bolts etc incase you lose or damage one. All in all it is a very good chair for working on the computer.
Comfy, easy to put together with good instructions. You can tell it’s not got loads of padding I’m some places and it does feel a bit cheap, but it’s comfy in the right places and has a nice smooth action with the tilt etc. Good value for money.

Bought for a friend and I was honestly dubious of the price, not expecting much but it’s really good. Super easy to put together only a couple of things and it’s really comfy
Product is just a question of bolting the wheel base to the seat, the arms to the seat and the back to the arms (12 bolts in all). Be careful to keep all bolts nice and loose initially or you will struggle getting the last bolt in. Once you’ve done that just go round tightening all the bolts. I use a small screwdriver for that – makes it a breeze compared to the Allen key they supply. Then just press in the the screw hole covers.
The chair back does not recline independently. The mechanism reclines the seat and back at the same time, and it can only be fixed as totally upright or totally reclined, otherwise you can rock back and forth…
The height adjustment is fine.
It looks nice and the padding seems fine but others have said the support doesn’t last and flattens out. We’ll see. Otherwise appears sturdy. Again, as others note, its light- mainly because the base and the arms are plastic rather than metal. That’s okay with me as long as plastic the mouldings are strong enough. Not five stars because its not perfect (its a chair, for work; my perfect chair is not one I sit in to work!) but seems to be reasonable value. I previously had an office chair from Ikea that was 170 back in 2001 and would have lasted forever but had to sell it because it was too big for my latest office. The replacement was 80 from Amazon and lasted 4 years….We’ll see how this one goes…
Easy to put together, but feels very solid once done. not as much lumber support as some other chairs, but they are far more expensive.

Having bought 2 chaeper ones over the last few years I upgraded to a more expensive one and so far it is fine much better padding and therefore very comfy do use two cushions behind me to keep me more upright

The assembled chair is fine. Obviously I can’t comment on its durability. It’s one of the cheapest office chairs out there but it doesn’t have any obvious fault and is perfectly acceptable. I notice it’s just a little shorter and less broad than the ancient wreck of a chair which it replaced but it’s still fine for me; I’m about 5’10 (1.78m) and wide and heavy and have no complaints. I’m pleased with it and can easily recommend it to anyone who might not usually be confident with self assembly.

I had to choose a new desk chair when my old wheeled, recliner, high-backed chair gave up the ghost after many years of faithful service. The choice seemed immense, but I hit lucky with the SONGMIC. It came “flat-packed” but assembly was straightforward with the illustrated instructions and the hex key included. A benefit of assembling it yourself is that you realise how sturdy the design and build is and it fitted together really snugly.
I’m now enjoying the comfort as I type this!
I haven’t needed to use the after sales support, but if it’s as good as the product, I shall have every confidence
A nice chair, very comfortable and easy to assemble. My only gripe with it is that it smelt when arrived 2 weeks ago and it still smells now. It’s not overbearing but I’m hoping it will fade with time as it’s not ideal.
Some pros are it is fairly light weight and there is some lumbar support and it does look nice.
I’ve had several office chairs over the years and this is a very good one for the money. Rock solid and very comfortable. I’m 6’4 with back issues and the back rest is high and very comfortable.
Does what it says. Seat is a little firm but comfortable. Chair is also not too heavy. It rolls well too even on carpet.

Comfortable and easy to assemble but if you move to a side or lean back it makes a “metalic clanking” sound. I have checked all nuts and bolts to be tight and secure as per instructions, but the sound is still there.

This chair is good for the price but one thing I think is worth mentioning is that it doesn’t stay back if you lean back, you need to apply pressure for it to stay leaned back. This can be kinda annoying if you just wanna lay back a little and watch a movie or play a video game or take a break from work. It also requires a good bit of pressure for you to lean all the way back. Other than that, it’s a good chair for this price range. I’d say though, if you can spend a little more, you could invest in a better one that would be a bit more comfortable.

This product looks great, feels sturdy, however, the cloth beneath my bum feels too soft so after a 30mins to an hour of sitting, you end up feeling the wood underneath. I work from home for 12 hours so I need sturdy cushions. If you want to sit for short durations then this seat may well be OK.
I love the chair but after 24 hours I was nearly sat of the floor. I contacted Songmics, expecting the usual excuses that companies make. However, they were great and a new piston was sent to me by DPD. I have changed my rating from 3 to 5. Sometimes there are issues with products. It’s how the company handles these that is important.

When my IKEA office chair gas lift started to fail, I thought a replacement gas lift from Amazon would do the job. Don’t believe those youtube videos showing how easy it is to replace a gas lift. I destroyed the chair trying to remove the chair seat from the gas lift!!
Found plenty of office chairs on Amazon, but either didn’t deliver to Ireland or had 20+ for delivery, but eventually settled on this chair from Songmics even though it wasn’t my first choice. Ordered on the 4th September priced 86.30 with free delivery and 14 left in stock. Over the next few days it went temporarily out of stock, but on the 9th September Amazon took payment, Therefor I assumed it would by on its way. No such luck. Last Thursday 17th new in stock now priced at 108.40, but it did not leave Amazon till 4:38pm yesterday 21st with an expected delivery date next Friday. UPS decided a trip to Cologne overnight would speed up delivery and it arrived here in Co Meath Ireland at 12:23pm. Well done UPS.
It took nearly an hour of fiddly allen key assembly, but instructions were fine and there’s even a spare wheel roller, bolts and cap. First impressions are that it is not quite as comfortable as the old chair, as arm height to seat level is higher. Will have to be careful arms don’t get damaged from underside of desk when when leaving chair. The chair seems quite sturdy and hopefully will last the test of time. For the money it’s a reasonable purchase. Shame about the delay since purchase date.
Bought this during lockdown which made me work from home, initially was using my old plastic chair and was in need of good quality and comfortable chair because I work roughly 8-10 hrs sitting at the desk. This makes me feels so comfortable and easy. Highly recommend it.

OK. Here goes. This is the biggest office chair I’ve own. Big enough for even my bum to be comfy. The only reason I’ve given it a 4 for comfort is I wish the armrests could be a little wider. My elbows keep falling off them. Other wise a top chair.
Got mine about 4 months ago after realising that working from home may go on for more than just a week or two. For the price I’m impressed at the quality.
Easy to build and instructions are pretty clear. Comes with a spare wheel that I don’t think I’ll ever need as the wheel quality is very good.
Only down side is I can’t adjust the height of the arms but then again Its a 90 quid chair.
Spent the past four months worth of Monday’s to Friday’s 8 hours a day in it and happy with it.

This package was compact and only about 15 Kg. it was simple to assemble in about 30 minutes with the tolls needed supplied. It is sturdy and comfortable and the manufacturer supplies a spare castor and a small packet of spare screws and screw cover in case if issues down the line. Instructions were all pictorial but clear. I am very happy with this chair.

I decided to just go with a cheap chair and was expecting the usual poor quality screw holes etc. This wasn’t the case, all the screws fit perfectly without any extra force, the wheels are nice quality and they even supplied spare screws / caps / wheels.
Quality wise, the fabric feels nice but I have a suspicion it won’t last longer than a couple of years.
For the price this was a great purchase.
Very pleased with the design and construction of this chair and the easy to follow assembly instructions. Once assembled it easily takes my considerable weight (150kg specified max weight) without a trace of side to side wobble, unlike the chair it replaces and the gas lift operates perfectly. Its actually for my (much lighter) wife who was complaining of neck and back ache after long computer spells. The default upright position of the chair is a great improvement in posture. Did not want recline settings and these are not a feature of this model but it does lean back to a degree. Great value buy.
Had and have several office chairs. This one I use for my gaming PC. I therefore can spend a long time on it and it is as comfortable as my very expensive office chair. Easy to assemble. Looks good and I can fall asleep in it!!!

La utilizzo in una camera, ma ottima anche per ufficio. Materiale buono e duraturo. Ben fatta! Molto facile da montare. Da solo ci ho messo 20 minuti per assemblarla. Scorre bene sulle superfici, anche sul parquet senza lasciare graffi. Nel complesso buon prodotto!
I was also pleasantly surprised by the fact that the kit had an extra part of all assemblable-s (e.g. extra wheel, screw of each type etc.), so this is a really nice tough and, although can be seen as belt and braces, definitely much better than find out that you cannot complete an assembly as one of the items is missing.
The only thing that I did not like, the spanner that was included in the kit broke on the third bolt… not sure if I put too much pressure or whether it was just its quality (looked like a pretty standard single-serving spanner), but I had to use a different one I had to finish the process. Otherwise – very pleased.

This chair was very easy to assemble I found and everything lined up. It looked good and had the smell like a new car lol. Alas it was not supportive enough for me and I sent it back. That’s not to say this is a poor chair I thought it was of good quality and good value. It’s just did not fit me which is the trouble with buying online, you cannot sit in it first.
I’ve suffered with a bad back so decided to invest and I’m so glad I did.
My job requires me to sit for extended periods of time and this chair is comfortable and has great support. I would highly recommend this chair to anyone
Very difficult to assemble not as easy as d3scribed
After the slight problems that I initially had with this chair, I have now been very willing to bump my original rating up to 5 stars.
Songmics were truly brilliant with their handling of the situation, and as promised, they shipped me a new seat section for the chair, gratis.
I now have a very comfortable computer chair, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from the brand in future.

Having dealt with the customer service from Songmics I have decided that my original review needed amending to say that their customer service is top notch… To a level that other companies should aspire to.
Even though the chair I bought was fulfilled by Amazon, and thus the customer service falls to them too, Songmics have been willing to handle things directly, on the basis of it being their product, and I will be receiving a new seat section for my chair, which is a much easier outcome for me to deal with than having to send the whole chair back to Amazon, and wait for a refund etc.
I would like to offer a big thank you to them for being so professional, and customer orientated.

An ‘okay’ chair, but it could be better.
The chair is a doddle to assemble, but it is slightly disappointing.
Overall is it a good looking chair, but the looks aren’t supported by quality.
The padding of the seat seems thinner than it should be, so after more than 30 minutes or so of sitting, it can be a pain in the posterior.
Additionally, the padding on the front of the seat ends right on the edge at the front centre area, and about a millimetre or two from the edge towards the sides, so if you are the kind of person who tucks their legs under the chair at all, you will find a very hard edge pushing into your legs.
I solved that problem by putting a throw-over on the seat, and letting it ‘fall’ over the edge, but I feel as if it shouldn’t be needed.

I did think the “aluminium coloured” parts were aluminium in the promotional photos but they aren’t, they are made from a type of resin but seem solid so no worries.
