Signed up Amazon, joined prime Saturday and headphones delivered Monday. They arrived part charged so I tried them out that evening using Bluetooth to connect to Apple Watch (as I use to count swimming laps) and music was crystal clear. Not downloaded music to try Arrived boxed, new and well packaged. Lost them Thursday lol.
The perfect wireless MP3 Player in my opinion. No longer made so I am so grateful to have been able to purchase this one which I hope will last me a long time. Have had this style a couple of times before over the years and love it!
Ya tena unos cascos como stos, pero sin bluetooth. Los cog para mi mujer y para alguna ocasin que escucho podcast o msica por Spotify. Sigo encantado con el formato de stos auriculares. No se caen, como suele pasar con otros que van sin sujetarse a la oreja, y aunque parecen ms grandes, no estorban para nada. Encantado con ellos.

Mein Anwendungsfall: Ich gehe einmal pro Woche eine Stunde schwimmen… um die Zeit zu vertrieben hab ich mein iPhone im Regal (in der Mitte der 25 m Bahn) in der Tasche… Bluetooth an und hre meine Podcasts, Hrbcher.
Diesen Zweck erfllen die Teile bisher sehr gut. ABER:
– Ich schwimme nicht bermssig schnell… normales Brustschwimmen, mein Kopf ist nicht wirklich unter Wasser.
– Wenn ich rckenschwimme habe ich pro Bahn 2-3 Mal keine Hakler in der Verbindung weil der Kopf zu weit unter Wasser kommt… wrde sagen ab 5 -10 cm im Wasser hakelt es. Bluetooth kommt also nicht wirklich gegen tiefes Wasser an. Das ist aber keine Tragdie denn nach 0,3 – 0,5 Sekunden ist die Verbindung wieder da.
– Ton-Qualitt (und Lautstrke) mit den Wasser-Stpseln gerade so mittel-okay.. Da es mir aber wie gesagt nicht um Musik geht, vllig OK
-Bedienung ist wie andere Rezensenten schreiben tatschlich etwas gewhnungsbedrftig… aber viel rumdrcken muss ich auch nicht bei meinem “Workout”
Abgesehen von der technisch bedingten Bluetooth-Einschrnkung – dass man nicht unter Wasser hren kann – bin ich von der Reichweite sehr positiv berrascht. Empfang ist im kompletten Schwimmbecken perfekt (bis eben auf das besagte Eintauchen)
Insgesamt bin ich also sehr zufrieden bisher… Erfllt seinen Zweck perfekt. Wenn man aber einen andern Schwimmstil hat, fllt die Nutzung von BT weg. Und ob man dann diesen Preis zahlen sollte fr einen mittel-guten Klang ist eine andere Frage. Auch htte ich mich wenn BT sich bei meinem Schwimmstil als unmglich rausgestellt htte wohl gleich fr Knochenschall Kopfhrer entschieden.

works great, and sound quality is acceptable for waterproofed headphones, just remember to charge than in between EVERY use, the battery lasts 4 hours tops. however. swim in them about 4-5 hours a week for a few months no real issues.

Very comfortable and good quality sound while swimming. Downloading music process is not the most straightforward for Mac users. But once the music is downloaded, the product is great!
These are good head phones, however you sometimes get crackling when swimming, on top of that, the plastic used for the outer casing of the headphones is prone to scratching and denting with ease, if you accidentally drop them, they look like you’ve put a file to them, apart from that though they are good headphones? The charge last a very long time and the sound quality is pretty good
I so much wanted to like this, and there’s so much to like about them, but, unfortunately, they came up short in some critical areas for me.
My intended use for these were to be for running and walking. I can’t comment on the swimming aspect, many other reviews in regards to this.
The good:
I really liked the hard, tactile buttons. As with many devices like this, there’s a learning curve regarding placement, feel and what button does what. After a few attempts over a day to get it right I was confident using it on-the-go, the buttons were easy to find from feel and performed remarkably well, especially when compared to cheaper alternatives. Some of the dual-purpose functions of a button worked well, as long as you’re familiar with it from experience. After a few frustrating botched attempts I knew what NOT to do.
The 3-level sound environment/ambient settings are exemplary – it worked like a charm and I could hear the difference between the three settings. I didn’t pick up any wind noise using this as I do with other devices with this feature. I could hear traffic coming from far behind me easily, as well as conversations clearly coming from people I passed – even with the music at a not-so-quiet volume.
Of course the onboard storage is great and frees up needing to have a secondary device to serve this purpose.
One interesting thing to note for audio geeks like me is that when paired with an iPhone via Bluetooth the volume on the headset works independently from the source device, which is not always the norm. This means you can set your source device to a pre-determined volume level and use the headset for on the fly adjustments as usual. This allows for personal gain structure preferences. Maybe this is also the reason some have reported low volume even though not using the swimming ear tips – the source device needed turning up if using BT?
It’s well-built and solid, but that also has a negative side to it – fit.
The not so good:
Fit. I struggled with these. For one, I could never achieve a good solid and consistent fit no matter what size ear tip I used. Sure, if sitting still I could, but when I started walking and running the seal would work loose out of my ears eventually. This, of course, had an adverse affect on bass response and ended up hearing mostly higher frequencies with little to no bass. I think the pure size, design and bulk of these cause this to happen – to gradually drop and pull from your ear, even with the ear loops and attaching the back headband accessory. They look absolutely huge on the ear, even on big ears, perhaps the size of these is to allow fitting all the buttons on them without it feeling cramped. Be prepared to look like you’re part of some SWAT team or Robocop with these on your ears.
Annoyingly, if I were perspiring and used the buttons to skip tracks or adjust volume this movement of the earpiece was enough to slightly pull on the ear tips and for sweat to work it’s way into my ear causing what little there was of the ear tip seal to release, and unable to re-seal. It was a constant struggle on the go to try and get it right. I could never get the earbuds to sit in and stay like with other earbuds. This, first and foremost was the deal breaker. Maybe if they had included foam ear tips it might have been a different story, perhaps a better seal and less likely to work itself out. The thin silicone ear tips would also frequently collapse on themselves quite annoyingly when trying to get the fit right by pulling the bud out slightly and pushing back in. I’ve never had this type of struggle before with earbuds, previously. It was frustrating.
Also, after a short period of time the ear loops became annoying as did the headband part, it always felt like there was something wrapped around my head and was unnerving. I never got used to it like a few other reviewers seemed to.
Sound-wise, these were just above averagemaybe. Granted, I’m an audio guy, but not overly concerned about sound quality when working out – though it would be nice – but I expected more from Sony. I’ve used one of their portable MP3 players and provided earbuds and was shocked at how good it sounded, this experience had me think twice about Sony sound quality and how they got it right, at least with portable audio devices. I was hoping for the same quality, or near. Unfortunately, it didn’t come close. And as there is no on-board EQ presets for the locally stored sound files, you live with what it’s giving you. Having an onboard EQ may have helped with the lack of bass from the aforementioned fit issue (along with foam ear tips).
And while the Fast Forward and Fast Rewind work with files stored in the onboard storage, it does not work via Bluetooth, so if that is an important feature to have available for BT use, this feature will not work. The skip forward/back does work via BT, though, as expected.
I was ok with transferring files with a MacBook – quite straight forward – the files go into the Music folder – but, you cannot transfer a playlist via the now-called Apple Music app, even with the provided Sony content transfer software if you do not have an older Mac version installed with iTunes, nor can you create a playlist on the device itself. It seems to play songs by album alphabetically by default (I think) if tagged with this info and you can select songs rather than albums for the default- which seemingly also plays back songs alphabetically which is annoying, at least for me. I had to resort to creating a ‘playlist’ in the order I preferred with the files in the Music folder by numbering the file names like 00, 01, 02, etc., before the song title. Rather labour intensive and for these days rather surprising to need to resort to such nonsense.
Sony is a good company and I hope they take on board these criticisms and look at updating this device physically and feature/sound-wise. It’s a good idea in practice, and oh so close, a few more tweaks and they could have an excellent device. It’s not quite there yet, though, especially at this price.
Build quality is excellent, they’re comfortable to wear and Sony have been very generous in the quantity of flanges they’ve supplied (4 different sizes for dry wear plus another 4 for water wear).
Sound quality is ok. Just okay. Miles better with the dry flanges as they contain an actual hole for sound to pass through. They’re not amazing sounding though. Just good enough. With the wet flanges (which have a thin waterproof membrane across the hole) the sound is noticeably more muffled and indistinct.
They’ve taken me a while to get comfortable using because there are a lot of buttons on these. Once you’ve learned the layout though they’re easy enough to use.
They have bluetooth so you can connect to a phone. This seems to work fine, I’ve had no disconnects but I haven’t yet run in them.
I have been for a swim in them though. They’re…okaaay. Swimming pools tend to be noisy, what with all the splashing and machinery and as I noted above, they’re not particularly loud with the waterproof flanges on. I was able to swim with something like mid-level background music. Don’t expect to be able to blast your workout mix into your ears for added adrenalin boosts, you’ll be disappointed. It helps if you turn off the ambient noise setting – although naturally you are then less aware of your surroundings. But not much. I could still hear people around me with it turned off.
You’ve got 4GB of storage with is plenty, but you have to navigate through folders by button so it’s a bit laborious now we’re all used to music apps on our phones. I just stick it on shuffle and hope for the best.
Bluetooth connection doesn’t work through water so there’s no streaming audio from audible or podcast app while you swim. This is a shame but a limitation of the technology rather than this product. I doubt the connection would be that stable across a 25-metre pool with your phone in a bag on the poolside anyway. So it’s a manual MP3 player for swimming.
So essentially I’m pleased. What problems it has are more to do with the fact you’re trying to take an electronic device into water than anything else. For the price, it’s pretty good.

Prepare to convert your files to MP3 somehow, if needed. Sound is ok in the water, not perfect though.
But as far as I know nothing else is. I am happy that I can listen to music while swimming, and I did manage to
listen to audiobooks as well. This took some extra effort with synchronizing my swim pace and breathing.
They easily hook on to other things, like things in your bag, make sure you don’t pull on too hard.
I am guessing, most of the issues other people having are related to physical damage with too much force applied
when pulling them out.
Use for or days out on the kayak, highly recommend. Can take calls and sound quality is good. Comfortable too when you adjust the fit with the small band that comes with them.

L’effet coute des bruits environnants est impressionnant en milieu clos et acceptable en extrieur.
Bruit de vent trs prsent velo obligeant de rester son elev mais la musique restant audible. Le micro serait plac sous la face arrire limiterait cet effet.
C’est une meilleure alternative que tout autre ecouteur classique.
I’m stunned that other manufacturers have not twigged to the fact that you can combine an MP3 player with a Bluetooth player. Not everyone wants to go out running with a big phone strapped to your arm so the MP3 player is really cool and kudos to Sony for doing this. So, these earphones could be improved for sure but I would be pretty sure these are the best you can buy on the market for the price point (more colors anyone?). The buttons take a little getting used to but I’ve been using mine for a few weeks now and it’s coming…. player controls on the right plus power and everything else on the left. I’m still looking at mine each time I go to use them and wonder which way I put them on but I guess that will come too. Love the ambient mode too so you can hear the music plus what is going on around you. You do not notice these are on but I can think of them being even lighter and with some more options for earpieces. That said, these are a good buy and I am very happy with them.

I bought this for my daughter, who is a swimmer, and I have not heard any complaints, so I’m assuming it works great even under water.
Regalo para m misma. Perfecto y de mucha utilidad. Hago natacin con los auriculares. Es una maravilla el poder hacer deporte mientras escuchas tu msica favorita.

All in all, easily the best running MP3 player out there, recommended!
Looks good, feel good quality. I have had it for a few weeks without any problem so far. A few buttons to get used to. Battery seems to last long. I run 5 days a week and only charge once a week.
This is a great option for an all-in-one unit for working out. I have used it for running, swimming and biking and it has performed well in all activities. I was a little worried based on some of the reviews but they are not true. I was able to easily sync it to my iphone. The unit I received was new and the package was unopened. I almost did not purchase the product from this seller based on some of the reviews but I decided to take a chance. I am glad I did. The only issue was it did not come with the bluetooth remote but I’m not sure this model comes with one even though the description says it does.

En este tipo de artculos es mejor no jugrsela a otras marcas porque el resto de dispositivos siempre tienen algn defecto importante en una de las caractersticas importantes: o dura poco la batera, o se pierde la conexin repetidamente, o hace dao en la oreja, o se mueve o incluso cae al entrenar intensamente, etc.
De momento lo he usado para ejercitarme en casa por la situacin actual y no molestar a mis vecinos, y la verdad que fenomenal. Tiene la calidad de acabado y aspecto top propio de una marca como Sony, con una funcionalidad muy intuitiva y una calidad de sonido muy ptima. Veremos la prueba de fuego de introducirlo en piscina cuando volvamos a los gimnasios…

That being said I got these for under 100 which, is less than a pair of half decent buds alone and you do clearly get more for you money. And a lot of packaging. And that’s not entirely a good thing today – see photo.
Firstly, sound quality. Good. Not superb but perfectly decent for gym use or swimming if that’s your bag. The sound is not base heavy and is slightly bright which of course suits some music better than other types. I’m a metal fan and I like a bit more low down to get a good chug going which, I find is the perfect accompaniment to heavy gym lifting. It’s perfectly acceptable but I found my Bose Soundsports better in that regard.
The sound is perfect for voice though, and as I’m an Audible fan this is a real plus point. Speech clear and legible at all sound levels.
One of the selling points is the ability of these to be used in water and in the spirit of investigation I have done so using the supplied ear buds that have a fine seal over the sound emitting orifice. The sound quality is in no way reduced as far as I can tell. It’s still good overall. What is noticeable is that the volume level is lower which, is acceptable as long as you crank the volume up.
Fitment and security of fit is brilliant. Absolutely superb. I’m not sure what sport you would have to be doing to get these to come loose but you would probably be at risk of your head coming off first. And despite the very good fit they are comfortable for long term use.
The design is similar to all previous similar Sony players. Whilst not as small as Bluetooth only earbuds they are well crafted to sit flush to your head and stick out less than the likes of the aforesaid Bose Soundsports. In other words you won’t look like an extra from the Star Trek bridge.
Controls are easy to use once your memory muscle has kicked in and your fingers learned where they need to go.
Where these are an upgrade in cost over the cheaper version is the addition of Bluetooth which, means you have options. You can stream media from your phone or suitable player as well as use the integrated MP3 player.
The MP3 player is what I need for the gym because the gym I use is large and using Bluetooth earphones or buds results in dropouts if I leave my phone on a shelf. And I hate having to carry an MP3 player or phone in a pocket.
One thing to note is that all my previous Sony MP3 Walkmen carked it suddenly after 18 to 24 months. This is irritating because I’ve had other players and wireless earbuds that work well past that point. However the convenience of these Sony’s is enough for me to accept that every couple of years I’ll need to replace them.
Overall, I genuinely don’t believe there is a better active MP3 player. Some alternatives sound better, haver better battery life or options but none come close to covering all the bases as much as these do.

Lo nico que la goma de atrs tiene a hacer que los auriculares presionen un poco hacia adentro de los odos, y si te resultan molestos los auriculares intra, estos no te van a gustar. Si esto no es un problema, estn muy bien.
Yo estoy contento, los uso para el gimnasio y me aslan bastante del ruido.

Ich habe die Kopfhrer hauptschlich fr das Schwimmen geholt.
Die Kopfhrer machen einen super Job, Musik ist etwas dumpfer mit den Wasser dichten Ohr Aufstzen, aber man hrt immer noch genug.
Los uso para la piscina y la verdad que al principio tena miedo de que se estropeasen, pero no, estn muy bien sellados y tiene almuadillas especiales para el agua. El material es muy suave y se adaptan muy bien al oido, no se caen. Los uso tanto con el mvil como el reproductor mp3 interno. La autonoma es de unas 6h y la pinza para cargarlos muy cmoda. El sonido es bueno con las almuadillas normales pero con las de agua se escucha bajito aunque los pongas a tope.

Buen producto, fcil manejo, conectividad excelente la posibilidad de escuchar la msica que almacena o la otros dispositivos enlazados. Buena sujecin, ni se mueven cuando corro. Por ponerle alguna pega sera el adaptador de carga. Si se estropea se debe comprar otro a la casa, con un cable mini usb sera perfecto. De todos modos estoy muy contento con la compra.
I love these. Loud volume which I love…unlike many other headsets where you feel their max volume sucks. And they stay comfortable for a long time. Any headset will eventually get tiring to wear. These are the most comfortable I’ve had. Very underrated.

Son unos auriculares muy cmodos y desde hoy un 10 en todo. An no los he utilizado debajo del agua pero por lo dems no tengo ninguna queja la ta del sonido es muy buena y la conectividad perfecta. Por el precio no he encontrado ningn mejor auricular que est. Es difcil que se te caiga cuando ests entrenando.
De geluidskwaliteit met de waterdichte oordopjes valt wat tegen. Daarnaast blijven de dopjes niet zitten als je op hoog tempo zwemt.

Die Rezensionen und die dazugehrigen Aussagen zur geringen Lautstrke unter Wasser, kann ich keineswegs nachvollziehen.
Die Personen, die bemengeln, dass die Klangqualitt sich unter Wasser verschlechtert oder die Lautstrke zu leise sein soll, haben mit angrenzend hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit die falsche Gre der Earbuds zum Schwimmen gewhlt.
Hat man zudem die richtige Gre der Earbuds gewhlt, dringt kein Wasser in den Gehrgang.
Die Klangqualitt und die Lautstrke beim Schwimmen ist klasse!!!
Lediglich bei den Wenden, nach einem starken Abstoen unter Wasser, kann es vorkommen, dass man den Walkman verliert. Stt man sich jedoch nicht so stark ab, bleibt er, auch ohne Badekappe, in den Ohren.
Ich kann den Player mit gutem Gewissen nur empfehlen!!!

It works really nicely the noise cancellation is amazing. Especially when. It’s off I can hear what I need to hear at work to be safe. The earbuds though hurt my ear really bad.i had to put different ones that were softer or else I would have a miserable time and no earbud has hurt my ear like this. It was also due to the fact I was wearing a beanie with it which didn’t help either. All in all it is really nice and easy to use.
1 – the bluetooth connection is spotless, and efficient even in the shower (leaving the phone in the gym locker)
2 – the sound is of very good quality and the ear buds make a very good seal, reducing surround noise.
3 – i have the 8GB version, that stores loads of data (no need to buy the 16gb IMHO since with bluetooth you only need the internal memory for your swimming
4 – I LOVE the “ambient noise” button… so when you get to your favourite coffee shop…. no need to stop your music or remove your heaset… just push the button….and you can hear perfectly the barista 🙂
5 – phone mode is great, the people i talk with hear me better than with the phone mic (ok my phone is quite old)
6 – the headset hold very weel in you ears, even when swimmming full speed with fins
some people complain that the sound is not high enough on bluetooth when using the waterproof buds…. which i agree. but just change the buds to the normal ones….and the sound is as crystal clear as sony.
Lo uso siempre que salgo de casa para ir donde sea, desde hace aos estoy acostumbrado a escuchar msica mientras voy por la calle a cualquier destino (a menos que vaya acompaado)….. Funciona muy bien, buen sonido y al no tener cables es cmodo de llevar. Tuve un modelo anterior de esta marca, y lo cambi para hacerme con ste, que tiene mayor duracin de batera y adems tiene bluetooth, la nica pega que le saco es que con el anterior modelo se poda buscar la cancin que quisieras escuchar en el momento con ms facilidad, el modo shuffle off es un poco peculiar.

Funziona molto bene. Nota negativa l’impossibilit di conoscere il livello di carica della batteria quando connesso allo smartphone tramite bluetooth; ho cercato e provato varie app senza riuscirci. Con altre cuffie bluetooth sempre possibile avere informazione circa lo stato di carica della batteria.
Aprs avoir essay plusieurs casques diffrents (d’autres marques) ce modle est le seul qui marche vraiment pour faire de la natation. Mme quand l’eau rentre dans les oreilles il le suffit de les secouer un peu (pour faire sortir l’excs d’eau des oreilles) pour avoir de nouveau une bonne qualit de son.
Je l’utilise aussi pour courir en fonction bluetooth.
Se escucha perfecto, en la pileta un poco mas bajos, pero me van muy bien para nadar que es para lo que me los compre. Los uso para caminar, mi hijo para ir al gimnasio. Contenta con la compra

Molti compagni di fatiche usano cuffie (pi o meno ingombranti) + smartphone; il range Bluetooth “da cuffia” circa 10m, perci lo smartphone deve essere nelle vicinanze e per me una situazione pericolosa: primo perch sollevo pesi considerevoli e poi perch in sala pesi siamo tutti distratti.
Tenere in tasca/custodia da braccio uno smartphone non chiaramente un’opzione.
Scartando le varie cineserie che durano 2 giorni, non c’ tantissima scelta.
Ho escluso il modello con l’anello perch non utilizzabile in un contesto di palestra (e in piscina come fate quando avete le palette?) e 16gb non sono necessari.
Il Bluetooth si dimostrato inutile durante l’allenamento: quando utilizzato in walkman mode (ma connesso ad uno smartphone) non riceverete notifiche delle chiamate.
Il fatto che sia resistente all’acqua permette di pulirlo facilmente in una bacinella.
Vengono fornite 4 coppie di auricolari per uso “normale” e 4 per il nuoto. Le pi grosse vanno bene solo a Dumbo ma apprezzo lo sforzo.
Viene fornito un elastico che permette di stringere un po’ sulla nuca.
Le istruzioni ci sono anche se illeggibili, ma trovate la versione html nella memoria del walkman.
I comandi sono semplici (alcuni, come la disattivazione del volume di sicurezza richiedono una combinazione di tasti, quindi vale la pena leggere le istruzioni) e vanno bene cos, visto che pensato per allenarsi.
Legge parecchi formati audio.
Hanno la possibilit di farvi sentire l’ambiente esterno (riuscite a sentire una persona che vi parla)
La batteria mi campa una decina di ore in walkman mode, un 4 ore con il Bluetooth.
Non viene fornita una custodia (mah)
In conclusione: si puliscono facilmente, si ricaricano in poco tempo (un’ora e mezza per la ricarica completa), non disturbano durante l’allenamento, si possono adattare alla vostra testa, l’audio si sente bene e sono anche carine da vedersi.
Se le usate solo per l’allenamento potete prendere quelle senza Bluetooth, se volete cuffie da usare soprattutto con Bluetooth c’ di meglio in giro (pi leggere, con pi durata di batteria)
Nulla da dire, uno dei pochi dispositivi di questa fascia con memoria interna e quindi usabile in piscina o in assenza di cellulare. Ottimo prodotto!
Verwende die Kopfhrer fr`s Schwimmtraining. Maximallautstrke ist grenzwertig leise, nach meiner Meinung frs schwimmen noch ok, zum zb. Radfahren oder laufen sind sie mir leise. Gert ist gut verarbeitet und bin ansonsten sehr zufrieden. TIP: zum schnelleren schwimmen Gummizug von Schwimmbrille als extra Sicherung verwenden, funktioniert prima. 4 von 5 Sterne da die Maximallautstrke zu gering is
The headset is better than expected. Perfect fit, and does not fall in running, swimming. The battery was 5 hours in the pool and 1,5 hours in the gym with bluetooth. Approximately 50% of the battery level on the earpiece flashes orange green for the low battery. Sound is quiet in the pool, but with the right music it’s ok. On bike, running and gym the sound is ideal and has enough bass. Can be connected to a laptop or other PC with bluetooth., you need to hold the bluetooth button for 8 seconds to start pairing and then act like any gaming headset with the microphone. . If the handset fails one day I will buy another such handset again.
Parto con il presupposto che non sono le mie prime cuffie MP3 di questa serie e devo dire che con mi modelli precedenti mi sono trovato molto bene ma se devo tirare le somme con questo modello sony la reso pi ergonomiga si presta benissimo a tutto da mp3 ad cuffie via bluetooth ad auricolare poi per lo sport si presta veramente in tutta la sua potenzialit di progettazione 3 muniti di ricarica 1h di autonomia giusto per una corsetta veramente comode consiglio l’acquisto poi se le trovate in offerta a 99 euro compratele al volo non ve ne pentirete saluti

This is my second pair of Sony Walkman headphones – the other pair failed after 18 months – only this time I’ve gone for the Bluetooth version. All I can say is that they fit, work and sound brilliant like you’d expect from a Sony device while doing any longish sets (+60 minutes) on indoor rowers and treadmills unlike a lot of other wireless headphones which don’t stay on and/or their sound deteriorates during exercise. If you accept that they’ll last 18 months – like most of these things – then they’re great. I’ll be buying another set/the latest version in August 2020!

Fue un regalo para mi novio que no le gusta llevarse el mvil a correr y est encantado con el ajuste, el sonido y la duracin de la batera.
Nach anfnglichen Schwierigkeiten mit Sitz und Bedienung die an den ersten Tagen auftraten bin ich mittlerweile voll und ganz zufrieden und mchte den Walkman nicht mehr missen.

But it’s so good for multi workout.
The sound quality was acceptable.
The battery life was acceptable.
Ich habe den Walkmen fr den Fitnesssport gekauft, habe deshalb auch die normalen” Gummis installiert. Tragecomfort ist super, hatte auch schon ein vorgnger Modell davon. Lieder lassen sich leicht per Drag and Drop zum Player bertragen.
La calidad del sonido es como siempre: muy buena y este modelo tienen el plus del bluetooth, que me permite utilizarlo cuando estoy con el mvil.
Simplemente geniales y muy recomendables.
Good headphones for swimming, but you have to transfer music to the headphones. if you try and stream using bluetooth then the second your ear dips in the water the music stops. So if you are swimming with your head above water it will be OK but put them even 1cm under water and bluetooth will fail. Shame they did not build in a bigger buffer, which might have solved this problem with streaming (for occasional dips in the water).
Otherwise I like them. 🙂
Die mchte den Walkman beim Schwimmen benutzen.
Das erste Manko ist, dass die verschprochene Akkulaufzeit von ber 12 Stunden nicht einmal annhernd erreicht wird.
Nach 6 Stunden Hrbuch hren, ist die Batterie leer!
Ich warte jetzt noch ein paar Akkuladungen ab.
Wenn das aber so bleiben sollte, werde ich das hier, und direkt bei Sony beanstanden.
Excelente, le dara 5 estrellas si no tardara tanto en ponerse el blootoh, igual no tarda mas de 5 segundos. Y tambin que cuando se enciende hay un pitido, y una voz que dice que lo encend, lo mismo si lo apago. Por lo dems super bien.
Es ist schon beeindruckend, wie solide heutzutage Kopfhrer sein knnen, dass sie sogar unter Wasser sauber funktionieren. Es bedarf einiger bung, die Stpsel richtig in die Ohren zu bekommen, damit sie wasserdicht und damit mit guten Klang sitzen.
Mein Problem ist jedoch, dass es frs schnelle Kraulen nur bedingt geeignet ist. Wenn man sich krftig abstt, fliegen die Kopfhrer vom Ohr. Wenn man die Badekappe drberzieht, ist der Druck auf dem Ohr zu gro. Man muss viel justieren, um den richtigen Punkt zu finden und muss vorsichtig schwimmen. Das passt jedoch nicht in die Trainingsdenke. Vielleicht braucht man noch ein Haargummi, mit dem man die Teile besser halten kann. Aber serienmig hat es da Schwchen.
Good product and really best option on the market but as other reviewers have said sound quality in and out of water is average. Nonetheless it’s better than not having any music while you swim!
As a backup bluetooth pair for my main ones ( bose noise cancelling / bose sport ). I wear these as I work and find they do a great job of isolating ambient noise… they are not noise cancelling per se but very good for noise insulating. I can wear them as I run air con in background in one of the rooms I use as an office.
Secondly, while I was doing a detox, I wanted to find a way to listen to podcasts / training lessons while I was in the spa… so this time could be useful. They are just great for things like this… for example, you can wear them in shower and they just work well. Audio quality for water sealed ear tips isn’t amazing but its more than adequate – and I’m fussy.
I haven’t used them for swimming or totally under water – but they are fine in shower as much as office. I find them to be comfortable and like that they have built in mp3 player. As bluetooth headphones, they are decent too.

Se controla notablemente bien la reproduccin de msica con los botones que tiene.
El nico defecto que veo es que con los tapones para nadar el volumen mximo no es muy alto. En parte se compensa por lo bien que apantallan el ruido externo, pero habra preferido que sonaran ms alto. En cambio, con los tapones normales el volumen mximo es altsimo.
Apenas lo he utilizado como auriculares bluetooth, pero he comprobado que funcionan perfectamente. La calidad de sonido es razonable, pero no me ha parecido destacable.
Funcionan muy bien y el manos libres para hablar con el movil es una pasada, puedes estar haciendo cosas por ah y se escucha y te escuchan a la perfeccin.
Per la qualit davvero eccellente: si attaccano alle orecchie e non si muovono neanche durante la corsa veloce. Ha molte funzionalit con pochi e semplici tasti (fantastica quella del suono ambiente che ti fa sentire al sicuro mentre corri per strada).
Inutile e anzi scomodo l’anello per comandarlo: consiglio di risparmiare prendendo questa versione senza anello, in quanto per comandare l’anello ci vogliono due mani, per comandare la cuffia basta alzarne una; inoltre devi sempre ricordarti di portar dietro anche l’anello. Insomma non serve a niente.
Le ho provate anche in mare: sensazionali! Si sente bene: pensavo che col rumore dell’acqua il suono si perdesse, invece sott’acqua una meraviglia, si sente meglio che fuori, ed una sensazione meravigliosa sentire musica mentre si immersi!
Assolutamente consigliatissime per chi come me corre e poi si butta in piscina o al mare!
I purchased a similar but older model around 3.5 years ago. I have used it at least weekly since then for swimming and cycling but mainly running. Eventually it just gave up the ghost but only after over 3 years of heavy use. I feel my 55 expenditure for my original was worth it.
I looked for a replacement and as I trusted this brand by Sony I looked at this one and also the one with a Bluetooth remote. I didn’t feel the added 50 on the price tag for a remote was commensurate with the effort required to move my hand to the side of my head and operate controls manually so opted for this version.
It does everything my old one did but can now sync with Bluetooth devices. I have swam, cycled and run now using it. The sound quality is excellent. This is with the water/swimming headphones in permanently so could potentially be even better with normal head phones.
The Bluetooth syncs easy. I have no problems with it coming out when swimming. Anyone doing serious swimming will likely have goggles so I use the strap to assist in securing them in place. Regards running and cycling they have never fallen out.
I am not the most tech savvy of people but find it easy to operate. It works like a data stick. Drag and drop so simple to upload music. The controls have moved ever so slightly from my original. They are also easier to find when wearing thin gloves. As I write this I can’t remember what the changes are so that in itself is testament it is easy to get on with and you adapt to it.
In summary I purchased this to make swimming more fun and interesting. I had other devices for running and cycling but now this is my one go to device. I tend not to miss calls now when out cycling if using in Bluetooth mode.
All in all I am extremely happy with my purchase. I hope I get a good 3 years out of these too.

Just received these – loaded up some music and connected Bluetooth to my phone, no problem. Instructions for the software could be a little clearer, but it’s not bad. Look to be a decent way to pass the time while swimming. a little odd having voice instructions in your ear about what you are doing, but probably quite useful. As with anything with several functions guided by small buttons on each earpiece that one can’t see while wearing, it will take some practice to get used to what does what instinctively, but that will come in use. I’ve read complaints about volume and sound quality, but I have none at this point. Sounds perfectly good to me – however I’ve not used them in a pool yet. Am on holiday next week so will get the chance to test it. I have gone off swimming for exercise as I find it boring – but this is why I bought these. I might come back and revise the review to a 5 Star one when I’ve had some use of them. But so far, impressed with packaging, quality, comfort and sound.
UPDATE: After 13 months of almost daily use with an iPhone 8 and then an iPhone 10X Max the headset wouldn’t connect. The profile was still on the phone. But the BT button on the left side unit failed to do as it should. Deleted the profile form my phone and tried to re-pair it – but the Walkman wouldn’t go in to pairing mode (alternate red and blue lights) just stayed green. Contacted Sony support (oxymoron…) but was told that the iPhone 10 isn’t compatible. After a year and a month of working perfectly…. I replied to that effect but was told that it wasn’t compatible and that’s it, pretty much. Told me to update the firmware – even though I had the same version already installed. Did that and of course no difference. I suspect there is a fault in the headset somewhere – as pressing the BLuetooth button seems to have the same effect as pressing the Mode button – I hear messages like ‘shuffle mode’ or ‘album mode’. But no Bluetooth functions. Not impressed after just a year’s worth of use. Will notify Sony, but this is likely to be a banging the head against a wall issue. They’ll tell me the headset isn’t compatible with the phone (despite a year of trouble free use) and the reality is it IS compatible but there’s a fault in the electronics/buttons. and a month or so outside the warranty period. A shame – as apart from the fiddly buttons, it’s been a great headset to use in active exercise.

Great product for me they are very comfy. They’re very easy to pair with both android and IOS. I like the ambient sound too. I have always been sceptical about running with headphones but the ambient mode works amazingly. I was out for 4 hours last week and they still had power in them for a 2 hour run mid week ( I was seeing how long they’d last) I love these. I have ,as yet tried them swimming but as I Can’t swim for that long in doubt I’d use them swimming.
Ordine effettuato la domenica sera e consegnato marted pomeriggio della settimana di Natale con confezione perfetta. Usato in acqua il volume non cos basso come sembrerebbe da altre recensioni, fondamentale l’uso degli appositi gommini. Usato in esterno il volume un po’ pi alto. Il walkman comodo e maneggevole, ci sono 4 misure per ogni gommino. Ottimo prodotto!
I could’t live without it, honestly, for running, swimming and on the bike with the button that allows me to listen to both the music and the outside noise at the same time. When running I don’t need to take my phone or anything with me, just the headphones with my running music in it. I also use it on the plane, best noise cancelling ever as it is an “in-ear” headphone.

So, so comfortable. By far the best headphones I have ever worn. Supplied with a choice of ear ‘plugs’, you should be able to get a fit for anyone’s ear.
Can be used as an MP3 player or linked to your Smartphone, the sound quality is good for this type of equipment. You can still hear background noises around you, so the headphones are safe to use in most environments.
Sony claim that they are waterproof up to 2 metres but I haven’t tried that yet, it is a bit too cold for the pool. However, I’ve no doubt that they will be.
Once again Sony have designed something that is a leap forward and though the price isn’t cheap, they are worth every penny.
Does what it says on the tin only criticism is volume isn’t loud enough
Bought these earphones for running and working out. They sit very well in my ears and are comfortable. I wore them on 1+ hour runs and didn’t have any issues. The build quality is excellent. The audio quality is decent for the size (not very much base but very clear and loud enough). Battery life is very good. Very happy overall and would recommend.
Las leyes de la fsica son inquebrantables (ruido hidrodinmico, chapoteos varios) as que no lo compris con las expectativas sonoras muy altas si sois gourmets del buen sonido.
Est bien si la msica tiene un nivel medio de sonido alto (pop, rock, funk, techno, electrnica) pero la msica clsica tiene un rango de amplitud tal que no se disfruta de la misma manera. Probar con podcasts o programas de radio grabados e ir actualizando esta opinin.
Pros:
– Se sujetan muy bien, especialmente bajo el gorro.
– Interfaz con botoneras a ambos lados, muy intuitiva y sencilla, con instrucciones sonoras.
– Acabado robusto y materiales duraderos (ir actualizando).
– Un montn de tapones de distintos tamaos (4 juegos para seco y 4 para acutico).
Contras:
– Volumen limitado bajo el agua*
– Slo se pueden cargar ficheros de audio (mp3 y similares) por cable.
– En pleno 2017, en plena transformacin digital, un aparato de estas caractersticas y precio debera tener el software adaptado para los servicios de streaming ms vendidos (spotify, itunes, google play music) y permitir descargar el contenido del streaming en la memoria de los auriculares sin pasar por ficheros, de forma transparente.
* La limitacin del volumen es por nuestro bien. Esto me lleva a pensar una cosa: o bien el volumen es muy bajo dentro del agua o bien me estuve fastidiando los odos durante el tiempo que utilic los Speedo… 🙂 As que la limitacin seguro que es beneficiosa.
Great product great for the gym very light and very decent sound :).
Cuando los comenc a usar me dola un poco las orejas, pero luego que cambi el tamao de la almohadilla, es como si no sintiera nada. Tambin son perfectos para ir a caminar, sin correr el riesgo de no escuchar el medio ambiente. Tienen una funcin especial en dnde puedes elegir o aislarte totalmente del mundo, o poder andar escuchando todo. Funciona muy bien con el bluetooth del Iphone, Ipad, Mac, TV.
Tambin tienes la opcin de grabar 4gb de msica, para cuando quieras salir sin el mvil
Ottima aderenza al padiglione auricolare, buona qualit audia, volume un po’ basso , buona batteria,ottima tempistica di ricarica.p
Per lo sport rappresenta a mio avviso un top di gamma per le qualit espresse e la duttilit.
Non l’ho ancora provato in acqua.
Rifarei l’acquisto.

The sound quality is excellent and the ambient sound mode works quite well to. When riding my bike for example, I like to hear the ambient sounds (traffic etc), while I prefer to block out ambient sounds when listening to music while working on my computer.
the controls are quite well thought out. I was worried that navigating 4 GB of music without a display on the device would be impossible, but with double-clicking the prev/next-buttons too switch between folders it works quite well. (One suggestion: double-click back on first song of a folder could ALWAYS trigger switch to PREVIOUS folder, not just in the first one or two seconds. If I want to skip back to beginning of current folder, I can do that with single click back anyway while at first song…)
I have not yet used them for swimming but don’t think I would be using them for a proper pool workout. I might consider giving them a try for a longer, steady lake-swim but honestly – the waterproofing feature is more of an added bonus for me rather than my main focus. I did however just keep them on for the shower after a run which is pretty cool.
One little improvement would be on the volume of the various beeps and voice-feedback when pressing the buttons. It is sometimes quite loud and inexplicably differs between Walkman-mode and Bluetooth mode.
All in all this device is very well made and thought through. I had a couple of cheaper Bluetooth headsets before, but they always fell short in overall quality and usability and didn’t offer stand-alone music playing.
This device is well worth the extra investment, provided that it will stand the test of time and hold up against the daily abuse I’ll be throwing at it…
