Does what it should, seems to be good quality and seems good value to me
I was close at the beginning, to returning it, because I had a problem with connecting, ha ha – but finally, I see so it’s a very easy and quick connector.
Fully Recommended 🙂
Easy to use better than a named brand which leaked in less than a month
Was nervous buying this as my other expandable hoses haven’t been great. This one is brilliant.
What a fabulous hose pipe light weight and reaches from my back garden to my front with ease
The hanger is very useful for storage too.
Perfect new hose just what I was after…the only problem I have is the hose holder that I placed on the back wall is made from flimsy plastic & it’s only a matter of time before it breaks, also came with a bag to put it away for winte
Have a very steep garden, so needed a hose which is lightweight and easy to use over 3 different levels. This is brilliant . Beats dragging up and rewinding a heavy conventional hose anytime . Delighted !
It’s lightweight and easy to use. 10 different sprays on it. Excellent quality and value
After trying it for more than a month, I would say this is the best hose we had so far. The hose looked short when it arrived. I was worrying that it might not be able to reach the back of the garden. The hose is light weight. and unlike the plastic hose this one is flexible and not rigid.
The installation was easy, and no leak at all. After turning on the tap the hose slowly expand its length and is able to reach the very end of the garden without any hassle. I am really so pleased with it. On top of that, the 10 patterns spraying nozzle were great. Also I won’t be using all 10 of them, I can switch to different nozzle to suit my needs. The jet one is strong enough for us to wash the garden slab as well as our car.
After using, simply turn off the tap, wait until the water in the hose to spray out, and the hose contract and return to its relaxed shape again. Lightweight, easy to fold and easy to store.
Overall, I am very happy with this expandable garden hose and is much better than the hard rubber one we used to have.
This is a good hose.
The fittings they say are brass, they are not , they are actually brass coloured Aluminium, description should be amended , I see a lot of people have said the same.
Apart from that its good stuff
A good hose, great length and very strong. Works fantastically
After our old hose broke towards the end of last year i thought i’d give this one from Spauood a try.
I went for the 100ft hose as our last one was only just long enough to go around the back garden but now with this 100ft hose it’s more than long enough to water the plants & lawn in the front & rear garden’s as well as reach the cars on the driveway to wash them which is a massive benefit compared to trying to wash the cars & having to use a watering can to wash off the suds as you need to do multiple trips to refill.
In the box you get
Spray gun.
100ft hose.
Adaptor to attach to the tap. (there’s two sizes supplied in the set)
Bracket to hang the hose on the wall.
3 rubber O rings 2x big 1x small.
PTFE plumbers tape.
The set up was super easy, i only needed to use the larger tap adaptor which just screwed straight on, i used the PTFE tape on all threads to help with leaks.
Once the adaptor is attached to the tap the hose has a pull release connector to attach & remove it from the tap when needed which makes it really easy to remove if you need to use the tape for other things.
The spray gun itself has multiple spray patterns at the twist of the nozzle they range from a light mist right up to a solid jet, which i was really impressed with, even after going through the 100ft of hose the solid jet was still powerful enough to spray the water straight up in the air higher than the roof of my house which had to be a good 25-30 foot.
I also like the thumb control on the gun as you can set it to the desired setting & use it for a long period of time without having to continually hold down a trigger like other styled spray guns.
There’s also a valve on the hose so you can fully isolate the water from the gun if needed.
Overall i really liked this product, its good they add everything in the box to get you up & running like the PTFE tape & O rings ect.
It all went together super easy & i was up & running in no time.
I did have to add one of the bigger O rings in the spray gun/hose connection as i had a leak at first but the O ring fixed the issue & it has been amazing ever since.
I also like how easy it is to remove the hose with the pull release connector if you need the tap for other things.
It all seems like its been built to a good standard & offers decent value for money, so far i’ve been really happy with it.
If you are still using an old hosepipe of the rigid rubber sort, cease immediately. These lightweight expandable ones are hardly new, and this is a good example of that sort. It is very light, it has a super choice of sprays by just rotating the head of the sprayer, and it has brass fittings to og on a standard British outside tap. at one end, and the spray head at the other. a joy to use, just remember to turn the tap off before attempting to detach the hose from the tap otherwise you will get very wet. If you just want to leave the hose attached, just turn the tap off and let the water discharge through the nozzle and the hose will collapse itself. This is an easy 100 feet long once extended and the fittings are good quality brass (the head is plastic but the joints each end of the hosepipe are brass) and it comes with a good quality drawstring bag to put the coiled hosepipe into. The only drawback if it is that, is that you cannot lock the sprayer on, so need to keep your thumb on the on/off lever, which is easily operated.
Expands fully over about a minute, but you can use it from as soon as it has water flowing, so you don’t have to wait for it to fully expand. I like the toggle on/off – much better than a squeeze on/off, but the hand nozzle is of basic quality – it works, it has the usual ridiculous range of spray options (10, of which I will likely only ever use jet or shower). The jet has a good punch to it. Not the cheapest on the block, but the hoze quality seems good. It keeps going for about a minute after you turn the water off, as the hoze transitions from taut to crinkly, so it’d be easy to waste water – think ahead!
Comes with some ptfe tape to make water-tight joints, and spare washers. Also comes with wall mounted bracket to take a coiled up hose.
Love this hose! I got the 50 foot one and it’s just a perfect size to reach into the front garden, our garden tap is in the back. It was easy to attach to the tap and easy to attach the head. The head has different spray settings that you just click round to adjust to your need. It also has a fireman type lever to turn off or on the water. It was quite fun to watch the hose expand and contract it’s actually so much quicker and simpler to use than my usual regular hose which has to be manually drained and coiled. Once you have finished, you turn it off at the tap and the water continues to spray out as the hose contracts by itself! Excellent value and quality, no leakage, great spray! Good fun to use
It’s difficult to fault these hoses. I’ve tried a few and with the exception of one which was supplied with low quality plastic fittings, they’ve all worked well.
This one has brass fittings and attached easily to the tap hose connector, which is also brass. The spray gun head is plastic, but it seems to be good quality and it has a range of water delivery. Fine spray for seedlings up to single jet, ideal for car or window washing. The hose expands as if by magic, it’s light to pull around and after use, it contracts and can be neatly secured over the hanging frame. I haven’t used the carry bag supplied but the hose fits into it. These seem to be better quality than when they first hit the market a few years back and I think they’re good value.
A whole 100ft of expandable garden hose and what more could you want. There’s no more huge lengths of hose wrapped arounf all over the garden.
It arrives in a printed box so would make a great house warming or wedding present.
The hose and accessories feel and looks sturdy and well made. I haven’t had any issues with durability at all. I like that it’s lightweight and easy to use especially since I’m in a wheelchair and need a garden hose that’s easy to handle.
I also think it’s a bargain for the price and the fact that it’s so small when not in use means you can easily store it in the shed.
The expanding hose is light in weight, easy to put away and very long, compared to the one I had… I like the fact that it also automatically expands and contracts. OK pressure too.
This hosepipe is a game changer no more miles and miles of hosepipe to role out and role away! Once filled it extends to its full capacity and once finished you can simply leave the gun open and let it retract to what you see hung up in my photo 100ft never looked so neat and tidy! Super easy to use and comes with everything you need! At 23.99 it’s also a bargain!
My only negative is you only have a hose lock fitting one end and the other is a direct fit for the gun so cannot be used with other accessories without an attachment.
Great buy!
This is my first time using an expandable hose so my comments would in the main relate to any of these types of hoses as there seems to be many similar products available on Amazon.
Firstly the length when empty makes it really easy to store as there are obviously far fewer coils than a standard hose. The hose comes with a screw thread adapter for a garden tap which then fits a quick release connector on the hose. Slightly annoyingly the quick release connector on the hose is not the same size as a standard hozelok one.
I got the 100ft hose and it does state extends up to 100ft. I’m glad I erred towards getting one longer than I thought as this only extended to around 20m in use rather than the full 30m/100ft.
Once filled with water the hose is noticeably more heavy to move around than a standard hose however not unmanageably so. Also the fabric cover gets wet and collects dirt easily. Despite using the plumbers tape there was a slight drip from where the spray gun connected to the hose. There seems a slightly overwhelming choice of spray patterns but in practice probably only a few I would use and actually struggled to find one I liked to gently water newly potted plants. I did however really like the thumb slider to control the flow of water and allow you to turn it off completely rather than having to squeeze and hold a trigger. It’s much kinder on your hands and easier to accurately control the flow rate.
The biggest downside for me was how much water you have to empty out of this hose when finished with it. Unfortunately my tap leaks slightly so would gradually lose pressure slowly and the hose would shrink back uncontrolled if I didn’t release all the water. You therefore have to go and turn the tap off (outside the back gate for me) walk round and then have to have the excess water coming out for some time. The first time I made the mistake of having it hooked around the back gate and as it released it suddenly pinged back like a bungee cord so you do have to be really careful when letting out the water! I think will end up keeping a watering can next to where a store the hose to empty out all the water at the end into a useable place.
30 m long, it folds flat and comes with a reel and multiple accessories. Very good value and well made
Having put plants around our new done up balcony we needed a way to water them so an expandable hose seemed to be the most compact way.
This sits tightly curled up in one corner until the water turns on then creates a really long (100ft once full) hose that can cover every corner of the balcony and more. It comes with a spray end that allows me to give a gentle shower to the more delicate plants but then twist it onto a harsher setting when I’m rinsing the balcony off which works really well in my specific user case.
So far no leaks and it appears to be really well made so i can’t see any will come either.
Great value hose for the size and great quality durable materials used to make jt perfect for long distance hosing, great for ling gardens or reaching out to the front of the house to wash a car or wheelie bin. Definitely a must buy.
Woah! We went with the longest option that’s on sale for this 100FT Expandable Garden Hose. The hose and accessories came in a box with a drawstring bag. It feels lightweight but durable in the hands. The camouflage colour blends in with the garden, an unusual design. It’s easy to attach to a pipe and it has 10 different adjustable watering modes.
Packaging: Cardboard box
Contents: Hose nozzle, rubber bands, hose hanger, bag
Build Quality: durable latex with brass fittings, nylon 1200D polyester fabric
Features: 10 watering modes

Value: 15.29 – 25.99
Summary: Excellent long hose for 25.99, it feels durable and lightweight.
The hosepipe fitted on easily to my existing tap attachment so I didn’t need to use the one supplied. The attachment was made of plastic. The spray head fitted onto the hose easily and actually worked really well. The attachments on the hose looked like metal. The water pause was really easy by just flipping the top slide up or down. It had a nice variety of different sprays. There is a really strong one down to a very light spray for fragile seedlings.
Now I’ve never used an expanding hose before and the biggest difference is that you realise how much water is left inside a static hose. I’ve videoed this. So when you turn the water off at the tap the hose will continue to spray as it shrinks until it’s pushed all the water out. You could shut it off at the sprayer but then the hose might stay solid in places or turn the tap off a few moments before you’ve finished
The biggest dilemma I had was the spray attachment. The spray head you get is different to all the ones I’ve ever used as it screws into the top whereas the others have a spout and click in. Now I don’t know if this can be overcome by changing the end attachment. But if you change your spray heads more often than the hosepipe it’s something to consider. You will need to reorder from this manufacturer or look for a screw on head. Again I’ve photographed that for you. Hopefully you might know how to overcome that
I will update my review if the hosepipe splits or doesn’t last long but only time will tellbut at the moment I loved the colour, the spray head and the ease of application once I’d got used to it. I hope my photos have helped
This type of hose doesn’t need to be put onto a reel, and they supply a hanging hook which fits over your tap. You get a simple but effective spray gun and brass fixings.
The hose is very light and wrinkled when not under pressure. As you turn the tap on it starts to expand and gets longer. It’s still easy to move around and much better than a solid hose. If you turn the tap off there’s still pressure in the hose to give a few more seconds of squirt, so be mindful of removing the fittings in this situation.
The spray head is good to give an array of different spray patterns and is a nice addition to an already exceptionally priced hose.
Need a longer hose? Don’t we all? How about a 100ft flexi one?
This is the Spauood 100ft Expandable Green Garden Hose With Four Layer Latex, Solid Brass Fittings With Spray Gun, Washer Seals, Plumbers Mate Tape, Holdall Bag And wall Widy. Also available in 25, 50, 75 or 100ft.
I like this hose it makes watering the garden an absolute delight as the spray gun has ten different sprays including 1/2 vert, centre, angle, shower, full, mist, soaker, flat, cone or jet. The great thing is that all fixtures are brass and not plastic, winner and you can lock in spray with yer thumb, so no trigger to hold continuous.
I like the idea of expandable, as it stores easier, but it is a bit like an elastic bungee cord. I keep thinking that the tap is going to fly off the wall, so go for the longer 100ft one for slight peace of mind!
But using is great, it has more spray options than any hose I’ve used before and it’s just easier. Even cleaning the car is almost a delight…almost.
I recommend this hose whether it be for the garden, pets, car or drive. But go for the more length option, obvs.
Brilliant piece of equipment, easy to unravel and use, also easy to put back away. Great quality beat hose we’ve had
… providing it is not trodden on – an easy thing to do, I know from experience. A little overpriced, one might say, but then the quality of every item in the box is without question top level. Possibly the best that I have encountered amongst several that I have experienced.
Hoses are a pain. They tangle and are a problem to get out and put away. This one isn’t. Simply turn the water off and keep the sprayer on until the hose is empty (and shrunk down) then just loop it round a wall hook until you next want it.
It really does expand and I’ve joined this to another 100ft hose of the same type so I can reach the car in the drive easily.
They are quite durable, lightweight and simple to use. Just don’t forget to empty the hose before removing the spray gun!
Tons better than a conventional plastic hose.
This hose can be wrapped up compact and take up little room yet when stretched out it will cover 100ft. There is a adapted included that you can fit up on to your outside wall for storage.
The metal connection on the end that goes on to the pipe is very sturdy and strong and goes in to the pipes easily.
Made with good quality materials.
The nozzle is reliable and can be adapted to perform different modes of functions so you choose the heavier mode for things such as cleaning and then a lighter setting for more delicate jobs such as watering plants.
Overall, a good quality hose that can do it all.
I had several of this kind of hose in my latter allotmenteering years. I bought them because they are light and I could no longer cope with the heavy weight of traditional hoses. This one is of better quality than my previous ones because of the brass fittings. It fits neatly onto my tap and fills up a treat. The on/off mechanism is easy to work, and you can click from setting to setting with no fuss (important for those of us with arthritic hands). As a warning though, I would say that if you want this hose to last you should not pull it over wood chippings. This was the cause of the demise of all my previous extendable hoses, and there is no reason to think this one will be any different; eventually they all spring leaks and die. But, if you treat it with care, and don’t drag it over anything sharp, it should serve you well.
This expandable hose is very long and seems to be made if a decent material but the connections aren’t as strong as some of the other ones I have seen.
The gun has some decent settings but the way it connects to the hose is with a plastic screw fitting instead of a standard hose push-fit connector.
Hopefully it will last.
Not had chance to use it yet but hopefully within the next couple of days I will up date after a couple of uses,
The hose itself feels sturdy enough and comes with all the bits that you will need which is a big thumbs up,~ and here’s the but .. the fitments feel very flimsy indeed I wouldn’t want to put to much pressure on them, I can’t really say until I have used them, as soon as I held them I thought oh!, I will update in a couple of days after I have used it a couple of times.. I hope I’m mistaken but first impressions.. the deductions are for the fitments, we shall see……. stay tuned
This is a classic expanding hose like most others, expanding to approximately three times its length. A bit out of the ordinary with this one though is its camouflage black/green colour scheme, which means it blends into the garden really well. Hose pipes are traditionally bright coloured partly so they’re visible and less of a trip hazard, but for a hose pipe that automatically puts itself away after use why not have a more subdued colour?
Out of the box the hose has a UK standard quick connector on one end and a threaded connector at the other (with a shut off tap) to connect to the supplied spray gun. This does mean you’ll need to source extra connectors if you wish to connect to an extra expanding hose, which I do (I have screwed on an extra quick connect so that it plugs into another expanding hose for when I need a longer length). There’s also an assortment of washers and tap width reducers.
The supplied spray gun is above average, having thumb control which is much better than a trigger, it also has the usual spray patterns. Finally there’s a wall hanger which fits over an outdoor taps and allows the hose to be hung from it.
I really like the colour, and the short 25ft length is great for me to use on my outdoor tap for everyday can filling and washing, and to be used as the base length to add extra expanding hoses on to. It doesn’t feel as thick and robust as some expanding hoses I’ve used, and the metal connectors are quite lightweight, but these hoses never last forever anyway and after a day of very heavy usage (pressure washing, car washing, greenhouse cleaning, watering) I’m very pleased with this one.
