It’s perfect product. My son love it. Noice cancellation, wireless, just great. Thank u.
Fantastic quality, amazing sound, easy to set up. Work seemlessly with my series x.
They are good and if you can get them for 30 they are a good steal compared to any other headphones you could get for the same price. Awesome
This was purchased as a gift however from what I hear they have got no complaints with this headset. Used primarily with a Stadia controller which plugged straight in, and comms seems to be very clear as is the sound quality.
Been using for a few weeks, lovely sound and mic is great. Don’t know about the quality issues with these as to early to tell. But YouTube them and see yourself. I out it down to being thrown down or something along those lines as all my headset have lasted till the next purchase so 50/50 for me to tell you the truth
I’ve been through some headsets in the past and I can honestly say these are the best by far! The sound on them is just unreal. I bought them solely for gaming but I use them for on the move all the time now too. I thought I’d spend a bit more money this time and I have not regretted it AT ALL!! Definitely recommend these!
Sound quality is great both in the ears and on the mic. Used mostly for gaming but streaming too. No problems encountered.
Amazing sound quality, incredible wireless range (I can use from 2 stories below with zero problems), amazing software that comes with it, EQ customisation, customisable sidetone (being able to hear yourself), mixing of chat (Discord) and game sounds meaning you can tune in to one channel more than another. Just all-round best headset I’ve used. Quality is on par with my studio quality pair of Sony’s and the range is better than my Sony MX3s. Just incredible, absolutely outstanding
Bought them as my HyperX Cloud Stinger started to mess up, 2nd pair that I’ve owned which broke in about 2 years, really loved them but were breaking too often, so went for these. Have them for about 3 weeks and can’t complain at all. Seem more comfortable, sound is more premium, hidden microphone with a button to mute is such a good feature. The earbud material seems better and hope it doesn’t peel off after 6 months of use like it did on the Cloud Stinger. Recommended!
These are the best budget gaming overear Headphones I have used to date. Build quality is pretty good, quality of materials is your average cheap plastic but seems good, sound quality is very good, I haven’t tested the mic so I’m uncertain, comfortable to wear especially if you wear glasses like me. I haven’t had nah issues so far but I’m overall very very pleased.
Been using these for a few weeks now and I’m very happy with them.
The controls on the headset are easy and convenient to use. The LED light to indicate you mix is muted is a great feature to have. No more talking to myself not realising I’m on mute.
Being able to connect my phone at the same time means I can have game sound and music playing at the same time which is great for those more casual relaxed games.
The surround sound is great making it easy to quickly identify the direction of sounds. Great for competitive games.
Pairing them is easy and once done they automatically connect to both the Xbox and my iPhone as soon as I turn them on. Just set it up once and your good to go.
Yes they are pricy but definitely worth it if you can afford them.
There comfortable and fit really well, the sound quality and volume is great and they dont do like most headsets and make your ears swea
A really good headset only thing that was bad that happened was the fact that my microphone broke
Bought for a gaming grandson who thinks these are excelle
I was apprehensive at first on spending so much on a new gaming headset, as my previous set was another set of Steel Series’, however they were only a few months old and granted, I had lost the removable mic, but they had died after just a month of use, and I stored them safely every night in their own drawstring bag. Now, having purchased the series 3, I can miles more impressed than the series 1 I had previously. Though I’ve had these nye a fortnight, the sound quality is far superior, as is the bull quality. The weight feels premium, in that it’s not too heavy to be cumbersome, but also not too light to feel cheap. And a bonus for me, is that the microphone is retractable, so it doesn’t always have to stick out of the ear cup, and doesn’t have to be removed as with the 1, and as such, I can rest assured knowing I will never lose this one!
A fantastic high quality, premium and reasonably priced gaming headset.
I have never written a review before but here is my opinion .
I needed a set of headphones for my pc but didn’t want to spend a ton of money so literally googled ” best cheap headphones “. Anyway after reading a few reviews i decided to give these a go and I’m super happy I did.
Cable is nice and long .
Microphone is of good quality, can use for discord or zoom.
Sound quality is really good.
I would by these again if I had another set of ears .
I had the wireless one but this one works better with my yeti. I love it, and ridiculously low price for such good quality.
This headset was used for the PS5 and plugged direct into the game controller.
Quality: – this looked well built for the price paid. No sweaty ears after 5 years of game play.
Sound: – reasonable sound and music wise it is fine.
Microphone – sound quality was fine as it was loud enough for the other party players to hear.
Bought multiple artic 1s, here are the differences from the 1s and 3s
1: Looser fit, never uncomfortable, even wearing them all day, huge ear cups (very soft but not deep) because of this it the inside of the earcup almost touches your ear. If you have a big head like me, these are unbelieavable, if you have a medium, they are great and if you have a small head they will still fit. the microphone really is great, but not the most durable, for the price though it lasted me a year until my mic started loosing quality and loudness and lasted all the way up to 2 years. Bought 3 more for friends, they all love them. The artic ones have a switch to turn the mic on and off which is audible to whoever you are talking too (it’s not loud or annoying though). The scroll wheel is very soft and smooth.
3: The 3s are tighter, 2 or 3 hours in my big head i need to adjust multiple times and even then it’s not PEERFECT. That being said, you will never loose the microphone, but the microphone has to be bent and positioned everytime you use it which makes me feel it will break faster if you keep pushing it in and out all the time. The 3s have a push button rather than a switch for the on off of the microphone, more satisfying and virtually silent (that’s a good thing), you have adjustability with this headset and honestly without that adjustability I would prefer the ones for my big head. All that being said, the surround sound, bass and highs are all ever so slightly better. Noticeable in fast paced shooters when you have them side by side especially. The sound wheel is more textured and a feels more quality because of the slightly more resistance when rolling it.
If you are on a budget, have a big head and don’t care for noiseless mic on off button/switch get the ones.
If you don’t have a big head the 3s are slightly better.
Side notes:
– the 3s are a Matte black while the 1s are slightly more reflective.
– The 3s are not audible from across the room and contain sound inside the ear cup noticeably better.
The product itself is perfect, amazing quality for both games and music the only downside is if you have a busy household. Thisbis mainly because the mic is so sensitive it can pick up sounds from anyone else around you. This however is still not a complaint about the headset merely something I have noticed.

So ok, I’m 46.
I wasn’t particularly liking the idea of headphones but recently I have played a game online with a couple of friends overseas.
I cannot deny, I had great fun and despite feeling like a Borg at the start, these headphones are great. I can hear them, they can hear me, and it’s clear both ways. Fab!
This headset is amazing, not just for gaming, but for all-around uses!
For gaming, the noise cancelling is great! Not only that, but the sound quality is great too. For a cheap price, you can get great value, if this would be your starter headset. The microphone quality is also good, being detachable as well.
Separate from gaming, this headset is also amazing! The simplistic, nom-gamer, no RGB LED lights features make using this headset outside of gaming work! With the detachable microphone, you can use this headset as if it were a normal headset. I don’t think I’d want to walk around my town wearing a techy, bulky, RGB-filled headset.
Conclusion, if you’re looking for a cheap starter headset that can work as well outside of gaming, and have a detachable mic, this is the perfect choice for you! You won’t regret it!
Sound quality is very good and it has a nice balanced eq. A slight downgrade from my HyperX Cloud 2’s that broke recently but miles ahead of the Razer Kraken V3 X (similarly priced headset) I returned recently.
I have no qualms with this headset at all. The performance it has given me for the price I bought it at, it is an excellent headset. The sound quality is great with good dynamic range as well as the mic being able to pick my voice up with no issues. I’d recommend this to anyone on a budget looking for a good quality headset.
The wire is a bit flimsy looking and likes to tangle up but other than that they are great.
Bought these for my kids. I have a steel series arctic 9. These are great quality subtle and sound amazing
Work on both playstation and xbox just plug and play
Cant fault them at all
Using it for TV shows, Gaming mostly, Great headset, When idle for those who are sensitive of hearing, it can be a dealbreaker. For that reason an Arctis headset might be the preffered one for you.
Also the software comes with mic feedback turned on, make sure to turn that off first (this is not the issue where the white noise comes from).
What I’ve found is that, spending money on a 20 headset every couple months will cost you more than just buying a good headset. This fits into the expensive but affordable category. It’s a great headset for its price and you’ll be saving money.
Best gaming-focused headset in this price range, the detachable mic is nice, good for general use. Little concerned with moulded cable, would like this to have been detachable like the mic so look after them well and they will treat you well.
The sound from these aren’t really that loud I’ve got it turned up full both on headset and ps4
Fit very comfortably over the ears so noise cancellation is spot on, excellent for gaming and the sound quality is good. 10/10 from me.
This headset is quite good. The sound quality is good the surround sound is good but the sound obviously isn’t top of the range but still very good for gaming. The headset is also very light so you can wear it for long periods of time (gaming) but it is also very sturdy. The detachable mic is a plus because you can get it out of your way when not gaming. I’ve tested the mic myself and it sounds quite good and clear and some reviews say the mic is quiet but it really isn’t. The noise cancellation is good aswell it blocks all sound when your not speaking but if your talking and create noise next to your mic it will pick up but that’s how noise cancellation works. Overall I am very happy with this headset and highly recommend it .
was bought as a new headset for learning and gaming for my 10 years old. great comfort and quality as expected from Steelseries
What an upgrade from the cheap Sony headphones these were replacing.
Sound quality is crisp and well rounded. I can hear sounds I couldn’t before, while being to pinpoint sounds from all around me in 3D. Music streams sound like I have two stereo speakers beside me, I forget I’m wearing headphones.
The headset is very comfortable to wear. The cups are large and cover my ears well without crushing the outer edge. The material is soft and plush.
The microphone is clear and I have had no complaints on either team calls or online gaming. The noise cancellation is very good and things like my breathing or any other background noises are filtered out.
Well worth the 40 pounds I paid. They are large and I’m not sure that for general use while on the bus etc if these would be the best choice, but for home and work use they are ideal.
They also look great with my steelseries mouse, keyboard and mousemat. Go for it, you won’t regret it.
Comfortable, you can wear for few hours before they start hurting your head/ears.
Quality of sound is average, can’t hear footsteps in Call of Duty, using them for work now, wouldn’t recommend for gaming.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of sound, sounds good with music, have not tested with gaming yet. Comfortable, affordable and a steal at this price.
I use this for gaming and work. The sound and mic quality is really good in my opinion. They do get a little uncomfortable after long periods of use but otherwise no complaints.
Just bought the headphones and tested them out today (Phone only)
Mic: Not too good but not too bad neither. Literally sounds average lol.
Pros:
– Is decent for casual use
-Great for adjustment and comfort, it stays in place.
Cons: – When you breath it can be loud/definitely noticeable, just try not to breathe heavy lol.
– Idk if this is a con but when the mic is close it becomes loud and basically inaudible (great for toxic players lmao)
– Bending the mic it felt like there was a creak idk
Headset:
Pros:
– Really comfortable, you’ll never ache wearing these
– Buttons on the side for mic options are placed greatly
Cons:
– Headset material is plastic, feels kinda cheap but not too cheap.
– Inside of the headphones is like some sort of silky material. Idk if all gaming headsets are like this but it just feels cheap lol
Audio:
Pros:
– Pretty balanced, bass is there for music
– Can hear people well through headset
Cons:
– Cant find anything, I guess if you like music with hard bass then youd find the bass 3/5
Overall: 4/5 Stars because it’s only 40 and the headset comfort is great + mic is decent. However, the headset felt kinda cheap in some parts and the mic is abit sensitive. The audio is balanced (as some people may like) but I like abit more pound to the bass although it ain’t bad so I cant complain. Maybe I’m picky but I’d pay about 30 for these not 40.
I’ve been using different over-ear headphones and this is the most comfortable one I found so far. If you are working from home, this is suitable because the microphone quality is good and you can wear it all day. No one complained me about the volume and the quality of my voice when speaking through this headphone.
The audio quality is OK given the price of the headphone. I’m not a gamer so don’t know how it suites for gaming.
Pros.
– Microphone quality
– Comfortable
Cons.
– Audio quality is average (for the price)
Very nice headset i got these as a backup for my wireless headset which is a different brand, these are very comfortable, game sound is fantastic my mane games are call of duty Warzone & Cold War, an i have no trouble detecting which direction my enimies are coming from, it is as good as my wireless headset which are Razer nari essentials, an to be honest ive not used them since i got these, there is nothing i dont like about them, build quality is fantastic, setting up couldnt be easier, the little wheel on the headset for ajusting the volume does not get moved easily when you take them off an to do things so when you put the back on the volume has not altered to be either gone either up or down which is a plus as im always catching the volume wheel on my other headset, seriously considering saving up for the wireless version as im that impressed with them, yes i basicly got these for free due to refunds an some compensation amazon gave us for sending out the wrong items, these happend to be on sale for 35.99 instead of 49.99 an i only ended up paying 99p for them, but i would happily paid the full price for them im that happy with them, i highly recomend these if your looking for a 1st headset if your on a tight budget or as a backup set for a wireless headset you use, as theres nothing worse than your headset dieing on you mid game an tou have to scramble round to look for your charging lead, just plug these in an away you go, i use these on my Ps5 some ppl have said turn the 3d sound off i have used them with an without an just ended up leaving the 3d sound on as i find footsteps in warzone etc are alot clearer, so yes go on treat yourselfs to a pair of these beuties. #oldergames #oap’sthatgame #gameinggrandads #gameingforlife.
Pure quality from a cheap headset of today’s standards. Not had any issues. Sleek matte black design and very comfortable even with the reinforced steel headband
Great product. Sound was amazing and they were very comfortable. Mic is good but could have been a bit longe
was looking for a headset for streaming, after looking for hours i decided to buy this headset as it is steel series which is a well known good brand, and because it was under 50 which is cheaper than the actual website!
sound quality is great, ive used it for music, discord, and general gaming and works greatly.
mic is also great and is easily detachable
headset is comfortable, ive used for multiple hours and has been very comfortable.
definitely worth the price, maybe even more, would defo recommend 🙂
Quality – Quality is superb, footsteps are easily noticable and sound quality overall is nice.
The phyiscal product (bit that goes around your head) is a little uncomfortable – the ear parts themselves feel big around my ears and the band doesn’t help with this as it makes it feel either too much or too small, it doesn’t hit that sweet spo
Comfortable and better sound quality than I expected for the price. I was using a standard on-ear office set for meetings, but wanted something more comfortable. These fit the bill well. If there was an open backed version then that would be even better as my own voice sounds muffled.
These headphones excel when it comes to gaming as they are very good at portraying directionality for in-game sounds. They are good as you can have them linked to both your phone and your Xbox at the same time. So you can play music from your phone whilst playing a game etc. They do not perform well when it comes to bass sounds.
Keep in mind. You will need a computer and to download the steel series engine to update the headset as soon as possible as if it is not updated the power on button is tied to the Xbox’s power on signal. Meaning when you turn on/off the headset it does the same thing to the Xbox which can be annoying if you just want to turn the headset off for casual gaming.
The battery life is very long and I only charge it once every 3/4 days
I only had this delivered recently and have so far only used it in an 8 hour gaming session of RDR2, but in the short time I’ve had this headset so far it’s been amazing
Sounds quality is great, not too much bass to the point where it’ll blow out your eardrums, but also not too much treble either.
I got into a game with some friends and they instantly noticed a difference in my microphone quality, they said it sounds “miles better than before”, so the microphone is also really good.
And I definitely agree with the WIRED review shown on the front of the box: “Feels and sounds more expensive than it is”.
Overall this headset sounds great, looks great, is amazing quality considering it’s price and very comfortable to wear.
Let’s be clear that these are not in the top end of gaming headsets by any stretch but that does not stop them performing to a rather good level.
Sound
Great range and provides good detail with games such as Elite Dangerous and Destiny 2
Look
Nothing to write home about but my preference is for plain and non imposing
Build quality
They seem sturdy and very comfortable
Other
The detachable mic is a welcome extra
Overall
Impressed and happy with the purchase
Purchased for my sons Christmas. The sound and chat is excellent. The usability not so much. We had to contact support. Every time he turned them on they would switch his xbox on. So he has to unpair them from the xbox every time he wants to use them with his PC or phone. Just a bit of an annoyance. Otherwise they are awesome and comfortable.
i’ve had a razer headset for half a year now but razer headsets suck (true story) so i brought this since i was on a budget, it’s super good, you can hear everything, comes with an adapter and the wires super long but you can just use a ziptie to shorten it or a shorter one. super good quality, super cheap. would def recommend!
Great entry level headphones – does the job very well for a very affordable price! Sounds are clear and flat, not bass heavy at all. Light and comfortable and fit completely over my large ears – can easily wear for hours. Recommend!
I bought this product to play COD and Rainbow six siege. Overall, it over-performed my expectations. I can hear people’s footsteps and movements while spectating my teammates and give accurate call outs just from audio cues. If you play games I recommend this product highly.
My first gaming headset.
Also my first over ear headset since I was a nugget.
Not used the mic yet.
I got these because I needed a more versatile pair of headphones. I have unreasonable noisy neighbours, which is hell on my autism, so headphones became a necessity.
You can use them wired with any device, wireless with many devices, the mic can be detached, they last all day.
They really have all the things that I need.
Good sound. Good range too. When listening to stuff on my PC, I can go downstairs to the room below and I barely get any signal drop.
The downsides, after a year of use, are:
*They don’t grip my head as tightly as they used to. They slip off if I’m moving around too much. But I’m mostly sitting when I use them so that’s not a huge problem.
*The cushioning on the band is sort of unsticking a little. It won’t fall apart though. Unlike the outer coating on the leatherette material.
*The audio dial, which is extremely useful, is having a spot bother. At certain positions it doesn’t give even sound to both ears and I’m going to have to go to the manufacturer to have them repaired probably.
All in all though, if you need a gaming headset these are pretty worth the money. Unless you want to spend a teensy bit more on one of their better pairs. Look at the cost of the other sets that this company does.
I bought a 2nd pair a 18 months later so I have a spare pair while I see about getting the first pair serviced. Using a program called “VoiceMeeter” you can run 2 pairs of headphones simultaneously. You’ll need both dongles connected tho.
I don’t like spending a lot of money on headsets but given these times and the amount of time I spend on the internet getting a decent headset was challenge. My last headset was a Plantronics and the mic was starting to fail. I wanted wireless but with decent sound. That pretty much makes anything under a hundred pretty much a non-runner. After looking at countless reviews I settled on the Arctis 7.
I’m glad I did. They have some weight to them, which given the batteries is understandable but are not too heavy. On my head the grip is not entirely good enough to keep them on if I lean my head more than 45 degrees but I don’t do that very often and it’s worth it for the comfort.
They certainly are comfortable. I’ve done over ten hours with them on and while you do feel them they don’t irritate in the slightest. The headband balances the pressure evenly on the top of the head and the cups surround the ear without pinning it back. Said cups have a soft cloth feel and the plastic body isn’t a fingerprint magnet.
Charging is quick and a charge lasts around the time advertised, I generally leave them plugged in at my desk and the cable isn’t annoying at all as it’s long enough so that sometimes I’ll forget I’m plugged in.
I’m no audiophile so all I say about the sound is that, to my ears, they’re fantastic. Music is great, movies are epic and the stereo works well. I play a good amount of FPS’s were audio positioning is important and these help a lot with that.
Microphone quality is good. It tucks away inside while not in use and muting it is easy with the button on that side. If you need to silence a sneeze in a hurry these headphones provide.
Battery life is great. I use them a lot so I need to recharge every two days or so but with lighter use you could probably stretch it to a week.
Another nice touch was the inclusion of a cable to plug into a 3.5mm jack. This means I can plug them into my phone and use them as passively powered cans. I don’t use that a lot as I have earbuds for travelling but a nice option to have.
It’s been a good few months since I bought them and they still look pretty new, they still work great and I’m very happy I bought them.
Bought as present. Will update review when I receive feedback.
They might be the ‘budget’ option in the Steelseries range but these are still a great quality stereo headset!
I needed a headset with a mic for gaming and after a fair amount of online research reading reviews (both customer and professional editorial) I decided to go with these for their quality brand and ‘studio’ like sound reproduction … and by that I mean a flat and well balanced EQ (no bass heavy mess) all the frequencies seem to be well represented and come through crisp and clear to present a well rounded and balanced sound environment, both in-game and (surprisingly) for music/media too … needless to say I was refreshingly impressed and very happy with my purchase. (My previous non-gaming headphones were a ‘budget’ Sennheiser but these Steelseries sound better)
They are also very comfortable, even for long periods of use, with true over-the-ear cups. The headband adjusts easily and has plenty of range so should be good for most head shapes and sizes. I haven’t had these for long yet so I cannot comment on their longevity, but I can at least rest easy knowing that spares are (currently) readily available in the form of replacement ear pads, detachable mic and y-cable for PC.
Other PC gaming headsets I considered in similar price range (~50):
– Corsair HS50 Pro
– Razer Kraken
– Hyper-X Cloud
I’ve had these for a while now and they felt funny at first because they don’t let a lot of noise in like my old budget headphones did, the microphone blocks out outside noise as well, you get 360 sound so you can hear footsteps from where your target is so you don’t get flanked, they aren’t high bass so don’t expect music to boom, the clarity of sound is very crisp and good, they are comfortable to wear, they look good.
One small thing on my headset is that the right adjustment makes that adjustment click when you extend the headphone band and the left one doesn’t but it still works exactly the same.
Very happy with mine. Sound quality is good and it’s one of the more comfortable headsets I’ve tried (I have a very big head).
Only thing is if you are using them on a PC you will need to have your own splitter extension cord to plug in the microphone, as one is not supplied. I was lucky to have one around.
Good but a little hit and miss on PC ,I have friends who state the sound and feed back is horrid and others that think its ok?Cannot seem to get to the bottom of this issue all I know is my onbaord sound somehow doesnt like the fact it comes from a single stereo 3.5mm jack to a splitter cable that goes into PC.
90% perfect. Very comfortable, great sound, good quality mic and great battery life. But randomly looses connection to the Xbox One X.. roughly one every few weeks.. I switch them off and back on and they are fine. Would love a Bluetooth puck, attached to the controller to adjust the volume settings, like my Astros, rather than having to take my hands off the controller to try and find the controls on the ear cups.
My son loves them, says they are just as good as the more expensive brands .
I wish there was some kind of indicator if you are on mute or not but apart from that people say the microphone is nice and clear and doesn’t pick up too much background noise. No static or feedback sounds. People in the party or discord chat are impressed with the sound. Perfect for gaming and party chats on my xbox. Great headset for my pc and phone too! Feel free to check out me using it and ask questions on twitch youtube or facebook just search for KatAndGirls
Great headset .Plenty of game time per charge sound quality is brillant the headset is light and comfortable have used this for gaming aswell as listening to music on my phone even great for discord .I love how the mic can be pushed into the headset when listening to music .I have used astros A40s and wireless turtlebeach in the past and these are just as good if not better will diffently be sticking with steelseries from now o
This may not be advertised as noise cancelling but it does it well, when I’ve got these on people find it funny to sneak up on me cause I can’t hear anything else. Would of given 5 but the mic isn’t always picking my voice up when I’m listening back to things such as streams/ recordings
First class headset excellent quality I would definitely recommend c
Turned up next day, sound quality is fantastic! Easy to setup too. Bravo
My sons headphone at first he didn’t want them then read reviews and quickly changed his mind, Just like last pair , he can’t hear squat and will certainly not answer me even if he could hear me , for the nine weeks of isolation he’s been on x-box morning , noon and night. , but hes loves the headphones with any luck I will see less of him cept when he is hungry.
Bought for playing on a Nintendo Switch. Generally really happy with the wired headset, sound and microphone work well (though I’m no audio buff). The fit is really comfortable and the build quality seems good so far.
The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that the write up says the cable length is a decent 3m (one of the reasons I bought this version). However, this is the total length of cabling including the adapter cable for the PC. Hence if you’re using the headset for the Switch, the length is just 1.2m. Annoying!
Really good sound quality for gaming headphone, easy volume wheel on the side and handy mic mute button. Detachable mic also. Super comfy and easy to clean ear pads which is good as mine usually end up covered in make up
Good quality headphones, you get a taste of what this great company is about. The sound isn’t the best or the mic, but you can enjoy a pleasant experience. So far I haven’t been disappointed so I’ll give the 5 stars. Usually the first going off is the jack. Let’s how it goes.
MY son has glasses and is quite a serious gamer/youtuber so he has strugged with a series of other headsets. He loves these but one star off for the first set having a dead microphone. Thankfully Amazon’s return process is almost effortless and the replacement came in 2 days.
I purchased the SteelSeries Arctis 1 wired headset for gaming on my laptop and it hasbeen perfect. My friend on noticed the sound quality improvement compared to my previous headset i used for discord.
I perosonally like the sound quality good balance between bass, treble and clarity. The headset is very comfortable
The headset is extreme comfortable no issues with the headband and earcups. The earcups i believe are breathable so it doesn’t leave your ears too toasty after long hours for gaming.
No complaints from me it’s been a perfect product so far.
Brilliant sound and mic quality to talk to team matea when playing games on PS4 and awesome headphones for listening and streaming.
Got this headset for myself in terms of gaming and honestly it does an understanding job the audio quality is crisp and clear and my my mic ive been told is also clear for when speaking to teammates in games. The headset isnt flimsy at all so definitely a great purchase.
These headphones are so good that they walk my dog for me, make my food and are currently working on a cure for COVID-19
I have had 3 pairs of turtle beach headphones in the past (on Xbox 360 and Xbox one), my most recent pair broke at the ends of the head band and for 85 I was expecting better. These have amazed me! For 40 they feel so much more solid than any of those headphones and sound a lot better and feel much comfier and that they enclose my ear fully. I’ve seen some reviews saying they’re no good but maybe that’s just some dodgy ones (it happens I guess). Best 40 I’ve spent in a while! Packaging isn’t great but honestly, who cares? Yet to try the mic
Definitely an upgrade from my previous headset, a cheap plastic 20 one. These fit around the ears very well applying pressure even below the ear. The sound quality is brilliant, great for games, and still decent for listening to music. My friends say the mic quality is also a massive upgrade, the ability to move the mic close or further from your face is extremely useful. My first Steelseries headset, very impressed.
The sound quality on these is incredible from gaming to watch Endgame on Disney+ is the most incredible experience with a headset I’ve ever had, I’ve not tried Bose stuff but these are by far the best I’ve used, my last headset was my favourite which was my Stealth 600. These aren’t only amazing but they can be used with the new X series so it covers all bases. With my Elite series 2 and these I should be the greatest player ever, unfortunately they don’t help that I suck lol
Sounds quality is good for the price and the earphones are very comfortable. I like the extension cable so I can easily disconnect the headphones however this only has a 2 x 3.5mm jack connection. If I wanted to plug the headset into a single, combined audio/microphone jack the cable would be too short (although would work fine with xbox controller as it is long enough for that).
They look great, there comfortable and I guess they where the better choice for around 50 range. Great starting headset.
PROS:
+ Extremely lightweight
+ Very comfortable for multiple hours at a time
+ Great balanced neutral sound signature
+ Above average soundstage for a closed-back headphone
+ Very good imaging and separation
+ Volume and mic mute on left earcup, good as it doesn’t add unnecessary weight to the cable
+ Build quality feels solid, nothing seems cheap or prone to breaking
+ Compatible out of the box with any device that accepts 3.5mm output
+ Stylish understated looks, could easily wear these out and about with no issues
+ Exceptional microphone recording quality
+ Detachable microphone
CONS:
– Cable is springy and retains kinks from packaging, it is however lightweight and thin, so once straightened its great
– Ears will touch the inside of the earphones when worn, doesn’t bother me but will do for others
– Non-removable cable
– Low clamping force which is good, but leads to headphones not being very stable when worn
– Doesn’t isolate external noise very well
Worth the price. Used it for 8 hours a day for work and I was highly impressed
You might under-estimate it when you see it on the website but in person this works like a charm and sometimes I can’t even feel i
Yet again after my last steel series headset lasted me 5 years even after being physically broken it still worked and this new product is even better quality 10/10
Bought these about 3 months ago, they are in perfect condition good sound quality, amazing comfort on head
Sone very happy with these. Tells me some of the best sound he’s had. They seem well made and so far pretty sturdy – he’s had them about a month and other more expensive ones have fallen apart in that time so much kudos
