got these to trim beard and moustache and they do the job perfectly , they are very sharp and well made
These scissors are sharp enough to cut through thick hair and the quality makes at home haircuts so much better. They come with some extra elastics for the scissor holes, to aid comfort whilst holding these. I use these to give myself quick trims and also to cut my braiding hair whilst doing box braids. The holder is great for keeping them sharp and the blades undamaged, however if you use them frequently, I recommend still sharpening them once in a while.
Really impressed with these scissors, very sharp and easy to use came in a small triangle shape package was nice to see.

These come quite well presented and have a good feel when using these however lack in premium feel, Hy do cut well and look well made for the price. HAs a nice hand made look and feel and scissors are sharp and smooth to use
These “Hairdressing Scissors” are very lovely the design is great and very elegant with the mix of colours.
They are easy to use and they cut my hair very well since the lockdown I normally cut at home and they are useful for me.
I don’t like the removable finger rest, I always lose them, and I prefer using the scissors without them.

I originally planned to give these scissors to my granddaughter who has just started an apprenticeship in a hair salon, but I then happened to read a previous review which stated that they worked well with card craft. I have been making cards for the last 12 months and am yet to find a pair of scissors that help me to neatly complete my fussy cutting (cutting out detailed images for putting onto cards). These scissors are amazing and do the job perfectly. I have adjusted the tension to give me more control when cutting and I have kept the finger rest in place because it keeps the scissors well balanced so that I can cut out the more intricate details. I did feel guilty about not giving them to my granddaughter though, especially when she needs them for their actual purpose of cutting hair. That was soon resolved because I just purchased another pair!
Very happy with these scissors. I’m not a hairdresser but I do trim my own hair often at home and find these excellent. They look and feel like very high quality. Super sharp and comfortable to hold, well made overall.

I’m left handed, so unable to get the full benefits from this sissors really but I’m Use to useing a right handed one.
I like how they give you different finger inserts where I wouldn’t need but my mother only had small halds and she found it more comfortable with the rubber inserts.
There is a screw in the middle that you can adjust the tension if needed, which we did have too, the blades are sharp but not as sharp as I’m use too as my mother is a hairdresser.
I would class these as home use but not professional use.
So far so good.

These scissors are perfect to keep handy in a wash bag for quick corrections and touch-ups for those times where you notice things are getting a little long. I personally use these for keeping moustache hairs from getting a bit too long and getting in the way while eating etc.
They are advertised as right handed scissors but I have no problem using them in my left hand for getting the opposite side. The only feature you lose from these in the left hand is the finger rest which isn’t an issue for short term use.
If you ever need to clean them you can undo the tension screw fully and the two halves will separate allowing you to give them a deep clean with ease compared to scissors that don’t come apart at all.
They are very sharp, adjustable and comfortable in the hands so I can quickly and efficiently do what I need to do and then pack them away into the provided protective faux leather pouch. The price at 9.99 is really affordable and these will last a long time as long as you don’t cut anything but hair with them, as other materials like paper and cardboard will blunt scissors in no time flat.
MY mother is a retired hairdresser and in lockdown, she kept our heads of hair in some order. She was trained in the old school, scissors rather than clippers. She has a Pro set of scissors that cost almost 100. I noticed that they needed sharpening and so got her this pair to try.
They come in a nice box. They look good, appear to be well made and they are very sharp. The two ring holes allow a comfortable grip. In terms of cutting, they work very well and it is hard to see what the price difference buys you between the Pro scissors and these. For the low price, these cut very well.
Overall this is a well priced set and we are happy to recommend them.
Very happy with these hair dressing scissors, they come with a nice protective sleeve for storage and are incredibly sharp!
The handles are nicely finished and sit well in the hand, the holes as with most hairdressing scissors are moderate but not so roomy your fingers are all over the place.
When I say these are sharp I really mean it! How well this will last is difficult to say at this stage, however they feel like a premium product and the small cuts on my fingers are testimony to them being very very sharp! (I get this same “issue” after having my other main pair sharpened)
Overall a great investment and a lovely spare/second pair of scissors
These are really sharp and so they are perfect for trimming even very fine hairs. They are comfortable to hold because of the soft silicone type covering where your fingers go with the nicely shaped groove underneath to support the other fingers. They are elegant to look at with the silver black and gold colouring and the adjustable screw is quite easy to use both to tighten or release. They feel quite sturdy so will hopefully last a long time, a good price for what they are.
I’ll have to come clean and say that these were ordered for our dogs rather than for us, we needed a good sharp pair of scissors to help keep their coats in check in some of the more sensitive areas and these looked just the job. I did attend a hairdressing course way back in the day when I did my own hair and had ago with my brothers on a few occasions so I was familiar with using them.
They arrived in a small, branded, stunted triangular box with the Scissor type on the front and the brand name “Survorna” on the sides and rear. Opening the box you get a small faux leather pouch — similar shape to box in a plastic holder. Along with the pouch there are two more inserts for the scissor handles — these allow you to find the best fit for your fingers, or leave them off entirely if that is most comfortable for you. There is a knurled tensioning wheel in a contrasting gold colour along with the finger rest, the tensioning will allow you to get the best snip-action for your own needs, I found a fairly loose setting worked best for me.
In use they have a very nice action, are extremely sharp and give a very accurate cut. They are well made and should last an age, at this price they are a snip!
There are often times when my fringe has grown a bit too long but the rest of my hair doesn’t need a visit to the barbers. These scissors are perfect for just given it a little tidy between visits. They are sharp and weighted well and come in a nice little pouch so I don’t stab myself when reaching into the drawer.
These scissors do look very attractive with nice attention to detail. The manufacturer states that they are made from High Carbon Stainless Steel, which is very good for sharp cutting scissors and they should last for many years. They are described as professional scissors, but if I am honest I have got slightly sharper scissors in my collection. Having said that, the SUVORNA hairdressing scissors would be absolutely ideal for most people.
I had to adjust the tension slightly as the blades initially did feel a tiny bit lacking in tension. It’s a great feature being able to make user adjustments to the tension of the blades but I wish they had arrive more perfectly set-up.
With the scissors you get a carry pouch and two spare finger rubber inserts which is useful addition. Also the inclusion of the spare finger inserts means that the fitted ones are obviously removeable and therefore the scissors can be thoroughly cleaned by removing the inserts if needed (for sanitising etc.).
I love the design of these scissors, the various finger resting points are exquisitely formed. The scissors also have the right amount of weight to them for extended use.
I think that the selling price of under 9 is a bargain for such a well made product. The scissors are very sharp (but as I mentioned they are not quite as sharp as some I have owned). I think that I may need to experiment with the tensioning adjustment as that can have an effect on how the scissors perform. I would still recommend these scissors. I am giving them a 4 Star rating just because of the setting-up, but they are a great buy.
Since the original lockdown my wife cuts my hair – and she’s really good at it (except for right sideburn for some reason…) We’ve been using some “professional” scissors and they’ve been okay. However when she got her hands (well fingers) on these – she was delighted. Not sure if the older scissors were suffering from slight blunting – but these cut perfectly – no pulling or snagging at all. Hate to say it – she even took on the tufty ears – and beat them.
These scissors are excellent for trimming long beard hair. I have been massacring my beard with what I suspect might be craft scissors. The difference these made to the ease of trimming was huge. I found them to be light easy to hold and super sharp. Especially good in hard to reach areas around the ears and upper lip. Very easy to clean & I love the fact they came with their own storage pouch. They exceeded my expectations. Very pleased
I’m not a professional (or even amateur) hairdresser, so am unable to comment on these from an expert’s perspective. I got these so that we can give the little ‘uns hair a bit of a trim. Out of the box, they feel plenty sharp enough. I did a test on my own locks and they went through my wiry curls like a knife through butter. There is also a tensioner on the scissors, so you can set the tension to your liking. Having played around for a bit, I opted for the looser setting. This creates a satisfying ‘clickety click’ sound, that makes me feel (at the very least) as if I know what I’m doing. The scissors come with their own case which feels a bit cheap to be honest. They also come with two sets of rubber inset thingys to put inside the finger holesI told you I didn’t know what I was talking about! All in all, these will do the job they are needed for – a quick trim at home. Poor lad. He doesn’t know what’s in store for him. Sharp hairdressing scissors and a finger protection sleeve, very good, recommended
These came in a leather-look plastic case to keep them in, but it’s the scissors themselves which are the star of the show. They look really smart. They are really comfortable to hold and they are incredibly sharp! The cutting action is so smooth and precise and they’re is an easy to use screw you can adjust the blades with if you choose to.
I found they were perfect for me, straight from the box. Shocked at how good these are for the price. An absolute bargain and a joy to use!
As i got these for my daughter who is a hair dresser i have asked her thoughts on these for reviewing and she said;
I got these scissors for my job as I’m a hairdresser. The packaging could’ve been a little bit more protective however it was fully sealed. There’s a leather pouch that the scissors come in which is handy for inside my bag and it came with two spare finger pads.
The scissors themselves are comfy enough and lovely looking, however they could do with a little oil as they’re a bit stiff however they’re sharp enough. Would recommend for a standard pair of hairdressing scissors.
We needed a pair of hairdressing scissors for home use to replace a very old and worn out set. This seemed the perfect addition to our tools and we certainly weren’t disappointed. Straight from the box these are razor sharp so you can use immediately without the hassle of finishing the blades. The tension wheel operates smoothly and efficiently to get the perfect resentence suited for you, but we found that aside from playing with it for the purpose of review it was already set perfectly. The weight balance makes them a joy to hold and use giving a feel of quality. At the advertised price you really can’t go wrong.
I’m not cutting hair with these. They’ve become my ‘go to’ smaller scissors in my shed workshop. Getting constant daily repeated use, since they arrived. Smooth precise action, sharp, and well made. Love them!
They come with a little plastic case (which I’m not using), and four little plastic rings. Two of these are in. The two finger/thumb orifices on the scissor handles, the other two are spares. Being a biggish blonde, I’ve removed these, so my meaty digits can better fit these dinky scissors.
