The vac does everything I wanted easy to use in the house and the ca
It is great I am 81 very good value at the price it is.
I have one of these already and would recommend this product. I purchased this one for my elderly parents. Easy to use and light weight.
Very light weight easy to handle very good on stairs
Very impressed with this buy and the set up takes 2 minutes.
Ideal for stairs and car as well. Value and does the job.
Love this, picks up a treat, easy to use.simple attachments and easy to empty.
Fantastic piece of kit for a great price. Suction power, excellent and lightweight to use. Not used for stairs as we live in bungalow. Forget dyson and vax and bring home a Swa
I did originally give this a bad review but after speaking to Swan and sorting the issues the hoover is back to its original self and working perfectly!
Really happy with this Hoover. Very light, suction power excellent and so flexible. Would highly recommend
Love it easy to use can get in all the corners and under its light grea
I purchased this my first cordless vacuum following recommendations on other sites. Not wanting to spend top-range money I opted for this Swan Eureka model. I am very pleased with its performance; it is very light to use and the attachments all appear to do a good job – using the carpet brush directly on the motor-unit is ideal on stair carpet. I have found that the battery duration is fine for my routine use (20-30 minutes). The wall mount works well with the charging cable held by clips when you disconnect from the unit. The dust collection chamber is not the largest and I routinely need to empty it after each use – I find an old toothbrush handle works well to remove dust from the deeper areas. I recommend this vacuum if you are looking for a good performing cordless vacuum for a mid-range price.
Fab little hand held hoover for the price nice and light too
Brilliant hoover for the price. My only bug bear with it, is that I’m constantly emptying it out and does get blocked easy.
It was so easy to put together, great to use , glides along so effortlessly, cleans really well and is easily stored away .
Bought a Power Plush in April for caravan. Needed lightweight cordless for small area of carpet and hard floor. Was so impressed with it I bought a second one this month for the upstairs of our house. Our powerful Vax corded cleaner has just got too heavy to keep lugging up and downstairs. With the floor wand I can whizz round all the bedrooms and landing and it picks up a surprising amount. As a handheld it’s great for corners, cobwebs and capturing spiders!
Better than Dyson! Love the fact that I can change heads. Best purchase evere
I was recommended this by a friend on Instagram, and it certainly lived up to her hype! Great little vacuum, really lightweight, easy to use. 10/10
Excellent suction, brilliant on stairs. May be light to some people but I have painful hands and it feels very top heavy with the motor in your hand. At least the switch stays on so you dont have to hold it on as you do with some others! Did a very good job and is very manouverable.
This hoover is light and great to use. Very happy with the performance.
An excellent cordless vacuum, brilliant suction, easy to empty and clean. Best of all was the price, real value for money.
I didn’t like that the box wasn’t sealed nor wrapped, at all, when it arrived. It actually looked like it had been opened.
On the plus side, this makes cleaning floors effortless and doesn’t stop/suck in the mat when hoovering mat. It’s a tad heavier than anticipated, but only charged as light package when using AddressPal.
Awesome vacuum. Rate it considerably higher than the equivalent Dyson we used to have. Still not out of the doghouse for buying it for the wife for Christmas
Great product everything thought through by the manufacturer even from the really good sturdy box and all packaging inside which meant thankfully nothing got damaged.
The instructions were very easy to understand when assembling the vacuum and attachments together. The wall bracket which is supplied is easy to fit and completes the look.
The vacuum itself is extremely light and easy to push and operates with great suction and the motor is not too noisy either which is a bonus.
Overall the vacuum is a well made nice design offering brilliant value for money!
We wanted to get a replacement mini vacuum, as our old one stopped recharging and Dyson’s are too expensive.
This product works far and beyond our expectations.
This really is the business, silent but deadly for dust and dirt.
This product is very lightweight, making it easy to use. I found it perfect for the stairs or the car. The suction is not bad, it’s very good value, and the emptying of the dustbowl is a breeze.
This hoover is a nightmare to empty. I have to use a knife to bring down the excess that has moved up inside. The various containers are incredibly difficult to take off or put back on, especially as I have slightly arthritic hands. I actually think it would be easier to use if I was left handed.
I bought this after watching an advert on TV, as I have not been able to do the housework without pain for some years now I thought that this might help me get be able to the hoovering at the least. It arrived rather quicker than expected and was so easy to put together, and is so much easier to use or so I have been told as I have not yet been able to get near it as BOTH my husband and son have taken it over once again, lol.
Great product for quick clean ups with good suction for all floor types and lightweight. Easy to use and much better value than Dyson. Back-up batteries can be bought from Eureka Swan and just slot in.
We love it! Not the most powerful hand held, nor the longest running, but a good balance between the ‘proper’ vacuum you have that’s a pain to get out for smaller job and one of the smaller hand held vacuums that just work on toaster crumbs.
Come in a multitude of bits, which all clip together easily and logically, including a holder that attaches to the wall to hold everything. Thankfully this item isn’t essential, (others makes are for charging) so as we don’t have much free wall space and although the vacuum isn’t ugly, we opted not to use it as a decorative object. Instead, it charges up quietly in the corner.
Charging takes around three hours for a flat battery. There’s some lights in the handle to tell you the state of charge and you can’t use it while it’s charging. Fully charged you get 20=30 mins of use depending on te use you give it. Some accessories, like the motorised heads drain the current a bit faster; but they do a good job especially on stairs, so I don’t mind.
You can use it as a simple hand-held tool for surface cleaning, or use the extension tube for more conventional cleaning. One head is a plush covered item which is particularly good at clearing up hair. It also comes with crevice and brush tools.
In use it’s pretty good for light-medium weight cleaning, but regular uprights or cylinder clewars will give a better job at the expense of convenience. We’ve had this for about 3-4 months now and it does the daily vacuuming around the house – we have mainly hard floors – with the traditional upright doing the heavy duty once-a-week stuff.
I have been looking for a cordless vacuum cleaner to compliment the iRobots. Tried a couple of cheaper makes to no satisfaction. The suction on the Hyperclean model is on par with my old Miele compact cat and dog. I will be on crutches in the vey near future, this lightweight cordless means I can continue with my Domestic Goddess duties without tripping over a cord and breaking my neck. The collection chamber needs emptying out regularly, if you are looking for a heavy duty vacuum cleaner that will clean up after you have knocked down a wall with extensive rubble… forget it, you need to buy the tool that was made for that job. This vacuum is just great for sucking up everyday normal small particles.
very good, live in a bungalow so no stairs but brill for everything else
Great product, very light and easy to manoeuvre, lots of uses and suction good
I initially got drawn into the Dyson V8 Absolute hype as I wanted the best portable vacuum, and while I can’t knock the V8’s suction power, the battery life isn’t great.
This Eureka SWAN Hyper Clean is substantially cheaper than the V8, but looks almost identical and comes with similar accessories. The build quality of this Swan is slightly better than the Dyson with less creaking and more robust fittings.
In terms of suction power, both vacuums have STANDARD and TURBO modes. The Dyson V8 does have better suction than the Swan Hyper Clean in both of these modes, but I’m not sure it’s enough to justify the extra cost of the Dyson V8.
Both vacuums have a similar operation time of between 10 and 30 mins depending on mode and attachment. I was expecting this SWAN to last a little longer than the V8 as it uses less power. This is a bit disappointing if I’m perfectly honest.
What I do like about the SWAN vacuum is the easily removable battery and the ability to buy extra batteries at a reasonable price from Swan’s website. I also like the battery life indicator and the convenient front LED headlights (both missing features on the Dyson). The Dyson doesn’t have an easily removable battery, but with a bit of dismantling, it can be replaced.
To summarise, If you have the extra cash and looking for out and out suction power, the Dyson is unbeatable; but if you want a vacuum that is better built, has better features, with suction power that is perfectly adequate for a quick clean, then the Eureka SWAN Hyper Clean is the better choice. I prefer the Swan over my Dyson as I love the convenience of a second battery and find its performance perfect for my needs.
I love my new cordless vacuum. Works brilliantly on both carpets and tiles. It is nice and lightweight and glides around the house with ease. Battery lasts well. I do have to empty the cylinder a few times but I think that’s a reflection on how good the suction is. Plus its super easy to do. My only criticism is the brush on the attachment isn’t great and looks very worn after one use.
I’ll put a little more detail below, but in summary, it’s light and easy to use, great on stairs, only lasts 20 minutes, 2+ hours to recharge, no on-board storage for accessories, carpet head clogs quickly with pet hair, suction is reasonable, could replace a standard vacuum cleaner.
Firstly, it’s easy to assemble. Ideally one needs to screw the bracket to a wall so the cleaner hangs up without touching the floor. The charging cable isn’t very long, so I needed to use an extension cable; it doesn’t charge on docking instead requires the charger’s plug to be pushed in to the cleaners socket. LEDs illuminate as it charges and then they go off. I live in a three-floor, for bedroom house and in 20 minutes I can either do all the stairs, or whizz around the bedrooms, it’s then a two hour wait to start again!
I didn’t like the lint tool as it didn’t seem to do much; the carpet tool is better and does lift hair and dust from the carpets but it does clog. Brush removal requires a clip to be removed before the brush can be pulled out and the hair cleared with scissors, it all fits back together easily, but the small clip is very ‘loseable’.
I’ve used a few cordless vacuums before; this is definitely the lightest and easiest to use. I’d like an extra battery, or even better, better battery technology that would recharge in about 20 – 30 minutes.
This is a good product as long as you don’t try and use it for more than it was designed to do. It’s not the sort of vacuum cleaner which will blitz your whole house, but it’s great for small, quick jobs like cleaning the stairs, hoovering the car or a quick run over a single room.
Its limitations are twofold. First, it’s rechargeable, which although convenient for use where there isn’t a nearby power point (like your car, maybe) does mean you only have a limited time before the charge runs out. I found that to be about 20-30 minutes depending on how you use it, and it takes 2-3 hours to charge up to full power again (an indicator hows you how much power you have). Secondly, it’s not as high-powered as a mains cleaner, so if you’re trying to do a deep clean or there’s a lot of mess on your carpet, it’s not really up to the job. Because it’s small and lightweight the dust cup is also small and needs to be emptied after every clean (the filters less often) but on the plus side that’s simple – just press a button and it empties directly into the bin.
However, if you don;t overtax its capabilities it does do a very good job. It comes with a choice of four attachments: a manouvreable brush for carpets, a lint roller cleaner for hard floors, an upholstery brush and a crevice cleaner. The carpet brush has a light on the front which lets you spot looming fluff and bits, and it’s power-assisted which means it’s really easy to push even on deep-pile carpet (drains the battery quickest though). The lint roller is something I haven’t seen before – great for picking up dust and bits on wooden floors or vinyl/lino. The other two small tools are the same as you;d get on any vacuum cleaner and work well. One major boon is that you can attach any of the tools direct to the cleaner without the long wand section, so that using it hand-held facilitate the cleaning of bits from down the sofa or cobwebs from the ceiling, as well as making it much easier to clean wooden stairs. The whole cleaner is very easy to operate and easy to manoevre into tricky spaces with its swivel heads.
The whole thing is easy to assemble (I’m a klutz with these things, and I managed it in minutes) and there’s a wall holder and screws provided so that the cleaner can have a permanent home on the wall beside a power point so it’s always charged when you need it. I have yet to get my husband or son to do that for me, so can’t say how easy it will be, but it looks fairly straightforward! Long-term I plan to keep it upstairs so I don’t have to lug the big hoover up when I want to give a bedroom or the bathroom a once-over – and I expect my husband will be borrowing it for his car.
Only one small criticism: the cleaner advertises itself as pet-friendly, but I found that although the lint roller picks
up “tumbleweed” made from pet hair (we have a large shaggy dog) well, it quickly gets tangled around the brush on the carpet cleaner and there seems not to be a simple way of detaching the brush head to clean it, so I have to pull the hair out with my fingers which can be time-consuming.
This is a great and very lightweight 3-in-1 vacuum cleaner and the bonus is obviously that it is cordless. We have had a cordless vacuum before but this is incredibly light in comparison.
The vacuum has both a hard and carpeted floor setting on it. The head is electronically rotated as opposed to suction and it collects even very small items easily. I love that you can change between the longer length for general vacuuming to the shorter lengths for the stairs and upholstery.
The one downside is that it doesn’t stand up by itself and you therefore need somewhere to attach the wall mount. This also makes pausing during vacuuming difficult as it means you need to either lie it down on the floor or rest it against something.
We have both hard and carpeted floors and it vacuums wonderfully with good suction and the collector is easy to empty.
A possibly silly thing but I love the lights on the front of the vacuum which makes it feel very space age but obviously is great when vacuuming underneath furniture.
A great vacuum and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend but do be aware of the standing by itself issue.
As portable and wireless vacuums go, this is superb. I love it. It is light and very easy to use. I love the action, and it works very well.
Everything clicks well into place, which makes assembly very easy. The various tools are great, and I am especially pleased at the carpet ones have the roller to whip up things. The LED lighting is a nice touch, and won’t effect the battery life as they draw very very little power.
The motorised head ensures that the cleaning is effective.
I am surprised by how light it is. With this I am vacuuming more regularly, because it is so easy to use. And it’s not too loud at all.
I was disappointed that all the parts come wrapped in plastic: it’s so very unnecessary.
Initial impressions of the Swan Eureka Power Plush Turbo 3 in 1 vacuum cleaner are good.
The product is well packaged and easy to put together. The plastics do not feel cheap and appear to be robust enough to stand up to a lot of use.
In comparison to another cordless vacuum cleaner we have it has a larger capacity dust box and has a larger overall power grip.
In operation it works as well as any cordless vacuum I have used and the battery life is generally ok for around 15 minutes. I would take the claimed 22 mins of operational use with a small pinch of salt. That said, I don’t think I have used a cordless that has ever given the claimed run time.
As an upright vacuum, with the weight of the device taken up on the brush head it is easy to use and manoeuvre in all the usual awkward spaces. It has fairly good suction but I found this diminished a little towards the end of the battery life. It also picks up short dog hairs quite well with the turbo floor head.
It is not ideal for vacuuming the car, it’s just too bulky to get into all the nooks and crannies, you’d be best using a normal cleaner with a hose attachment. On the stairs it is fine but Some might find it A little heavy for continued one handed use in this way.
It has an easy to empty dust box.
The the washable HEPA filter is good, this means you don’t have too many consumables to buy during the lifetime of the device.
I always like to test the performance of a vacuum cleaner by using another cleaner directly afterwards to see what it might have missed. After vacuuming the downstairs of the house I set our robot cleaner to do a scheduled sweep of where I had been. Sad to say that when I returned and checked the dust box of the robot cleaner had picked up quite a bit of additional debris. It was a little disappointing.
In conclusion, it’s a reasonable casual cleaner, battery life is average for this kind of device and it does a reasonable job of vacuuming. On a Cost v Performance scale it is not bad and reasonably priced. It is a bit bulky. It will not replace a corded vacuum cleaner for performance but is ideal for those small areas when you do not want to clean the whole house.
The overall rating reflects Price/Performance. You could spend twice as much on a different make but you probably won’t get twice the performance.
Assembled easily – only had to consult the short mostly pictures manual once to check exactly how the battery pack attaches. (turns out I was in the right place just needed to push harder!)
Fully charged in about 2 hours. Very light and manoeuvreable. Comes with a good range of tools.
In use? Great on my wood and laminate floors. Glides well and picks up debris easily.
Not quite so good on wool carpets but fine for a quick clean.
Very easy to use: very light in weight and the lack of a cord makes cleaning a breeze – especially on the stairs!
The light on the head isn’t really strong enough to show much.
The dirt holder isn’t the biggest but it is easy to empty.
Probably not powerful enough as a “main” vacuum cleaner but great for mid week or spot cleaning.
Recommended but not sure why every part needs to come wrapped in individual plastic bags – we all expect less of that these days!
This is my first try of a cordless stick vacuum and I love it! Getting rid of the cord is a revelation and I love the way I can clean the whole flat in one quick session. There is a separate head for tiled/wooden floors but the brush worked fine. I especially love that this turns into a hand-held, ideal for stairs, and that you can attach any of the brushes or tools in hand mode. Mine came with two heads (brush, hard floors) and the usual crevice and dusting/upholstery attachments. Oh, and I love the lights on the front of the brush head so you can see what you’re hoovering up under the bed, sofa!
The charger is tiny, so is easy to store and just plugs into the body like a phone charger – it takes 3-4 hours for a full charge and that gives about 20-25 mins of power, all I need to clean my home. The dust collector is small, so it might be worth emptying it midway through (just press the button and the lid pops off). The whole thing is so light and maneuverable, I whipped round far faster that usual. And it’s easy to store in the smallest of homes.
If you have a bigger home with kids and/or pets this might not suit as a main cleaner – for an urban couple, it’s perfect!
We have a cordless vacuum already but it cannot be used as a handheld for small or tricky spaces such as furniture or car interiors. This pack allows both ‘upright’ usage with a choice of a rotating brush head or a combined vacuum and polishing head for hard floors. Very flexible head rotation and built in lights to see under chairs etc. We have a Labrador that sheds small black hairs and this vacuum sucks them up with ease.
The main motor can also be attached to the upholstery brush, or the crevice tool, or direct to both brush heads. Great for stairs and difficult to reach spaces for example between or under kitchen equipment.
There is little noise in use as compared with other vacuums and the suction power is not as strong as my mains-powered Miele for example. But it does clean carpets and hard floors perfectly well
I’ve been using this vacuum for a fortnight now, and am loving it compared with lugging my other vacuum around the house. The suction is great, the battery power is great and it charges quickly, it’s not too heavy, it is certainly a doddle to maneuver, stairs are so easy now, and it cleans well up to the edges. Easy to swap the head for the crevice tool etc. As I don’t own a drill to fix the hanging plate to the wall, I’m just laying it on the floor near a socket to charge.
There are a couple of niggles though – Firstly – the on-off switch position is on the actual handle, making it very easy to accidentally switch the cleaner off as you move. Anyone with large hands, mine are small, would find the switch gets in the way of gripping the cleaner.
The other thing is that although it is very light, that means that the waste cup gets full very quickly indeed – especially as we have moulting cats at the mo. I carry a rubbish bag around the house with me to empty as I go. You can just release the bottom of the cup, or unlatch the whole cup – so easy to empty though. The air filter at the top of the cup gets very full of dust though, and I’m taking time to unclog that to maintain good suction after a session.
Returning to the positive: With my old vacuum, I had a hell of a time getting long hair off the turbo brush head. Swan have thought of that, and positioned a groove all along the head’s brush cylinder so you can just slip scissors into the groove to snip through the hair, making it then easy to pull off.
My last experience of a battery-powered vacuum cleaner was a hand-held DustBuster in the 1980s, which was not particularly impressive in sucking power or battery life. Technology has certainly moved on! This Eureka Swan device cleans better than my trusty Henry, especially on carpet, where its powered beater really comes into its own.
The freedom from power leads also ends that annoying experience of running out of cable just a metre or so shy of the far corner of the bedroom! It has also made cleaning the car (parked on-street) much easier.
The device is much lighter weight overall than a traditional upright hoover, although it initially feels a little oddly balanced as most of the weight is in your hand, rather than at floor level. I soon got used to this though. The swivel head joint is nimble and the headlights are more useful than I had been expecting. As well as the main floor head (which can be used with or without the extension tube), you get an upholstery head and a crevice tool. The latter was very good at cleaning the kids’ crumbs our from down the sides of car seats.
It comes with a wall hanger and a charging lead (which isn’t integrated in the wall hanger, so you don’t have to hang it if you don’t want to). The battery life is incredible by contrast to our old DustBuster (which could manage a couple of minutes at most). If it does start to lose capacity after a time, you can easily swap it out for a new one.
Overall, this feels like a high quality product which should last a long time. The only downside is that the dust compartment is not very big, so you have to empty it far more frequently than a traditional vacuum cleaner. Emptying can be done by twisting off the dust compartment (very easy), or flapping open the base (rather messy).
If you find a traditional upright too heavy, or are fed up with cables, this is certainly worth getting.
Very easy to assemble and charge. The battery was partially charged so a couple of hours took it to maximum. The battery life seems short giving about 20 to 30 minutes use before recharging. Probably enough for most sessions, but a little longer would be better.
Manoverability is brilliant and as the balance is good it is fairly effortless to use. The option of an upright stand would be good as not all home have a suitable place for a wall attachment and the charging cable is not long.
I found the tube long enough to reach cornicing and the attachable brush head is excellent .
These are some of the many good points, but I have one negative point: I don’t think that it is powerful enough for deep cleaning. Sure it picks up crumbs, hairs etc, but often has to go over the area a couple of times. No other reviews mention this so perhaps I have an under powered unit . I’m comparing it to my similar priced Gtec.
Otherwise a well designed, easy to use appliance.
This is the first proper cordless vacuum cleaner I have had. I have a handheld model which I use mainly for cleaning the inside of the car.
This model comes with a charger, a wall mount, two fine detail heads and a wand and hyper clean floor head. Charging took a few hours but then I tried it out.
Very easy to put together though the build quality did not seem very “sturdy”. Just an impression. The cleaner is marvellously lightweight and manoeuvrable. It has a max power setting and a carpet and hard floor control. The front even has lights to illuminate the area you are cleaning. As a dog owner I found it very effective, quickly picking up the hairs kindly left behind by my dog. The waste bin is not very large and on a full house clean will probably need emptying more than once.
The fact that I can just get it out and give a room a quick vacuum without having to uncoil a long cable makes this a definite winner for me.
This offers pretty much all you need for domestic cleaning. A good sized cleaning head, swivel control, and the ability to get under low furniture too. The long tube is useful for high corners and cobwebs, and it can also be used as a hand-vacuum for stairs, out in the car, or awkward corners. Battery life is good enough for my one-level bungalow, and I managed the whole place before recharging.
The dust receptacle is average size, and may need to be emptied a few times during a full clean. But it works just as well, if not better, than the more expensive alternatives.
This is the first battery vacuum with the motor in the handle that I’ve used, and I was pleased with how light and manoeuvrable it is. It is also more powerful than I had expected, leaving the carpet looking ‘just vacuumed’. Unfortunately the right hand headlight only lights up intermittently, which is slightly disconcerting, although I would question whether a vacuum actually needs headlights at all. My main reservation is the tiny dust cup. I just ran the vacuum around my 3 bedrooms and when I went to empty the cup it was packed so full that I had to pull the fluff out with my fingers. It may be that my bedrooms are exceptionally dirty as it’s possible my old vacuum hadn’t been doing a good job for a while, but I was surprised. The filter takes up much of the space in the dust cup so it’s difficult to assess the volume, but I don’t see how it could be more than the size of a 400gm bean can. Those carpets are medium pile. Downstairs the carpets are shorter pile and the whole groundfloor only generated a small amount of gubbins in the dust cup. The vacuum did better than expected in picking up pet hair (greyhound, short needle-type hair).
It won’t stand up on its own, so it does need the wall bracket for storage and charging. As the power cable is only a couple of yards long, you need wall space quite close to a plug socket. My only option was to fit the bracket close to one side of a door frame, where there was a low level socket just the other side of the door frame, and the cable won’t reach. Inconveniently I have to remove the handle/charging unit from the wand and charge it on the floor beside the socket. Great little vacuum, let down by a couple of sillies.
Update July 2019…
CLEAN ALL FILTERS REGULARLY. I failed to clean the internal one and as a result the unit cut out after 4 months, and would only operate for 6 seconds. See last 2 pictures.
My battery now lasts for about 15 minutes which is just enough to do my 3 bedroom house.
ORIGINAL REVIEW
The only thing I don’t like about this unit is that the vacuum cleaner should be hung up. This is not self-standing. The handle has to be propped up against something.
If you do use the wall mount bracket make sure you have a mains socket within the range of the charging cable. That’s approximately 2m.
Charging from new takes about 3 hours. Assembly took about 5 minutes.
BATTERY LIFE… on its first full charge I completed the entire house. A combination of carpet and hard floor. It used about half of the full power of the battery. I had set it to MAX on the suction.
LIGHTWEIGHT… it is very lightweight. In fact, occasionally the head would pull off like a startled horse drag it’s cart ( me! ) behind. Ok, a little artistic licence there, but the unit was keen.
EASY TO USE… it’s so easy. Steering is easy. To set the hard floor to carpet and back again is just the press of a button. The headlights are very useful. The power head can be detached from the shaft and have the tools attached for detailed work.
I hope my photos prove helpful.
