The knob to turn it on and off broke in the first month. The machine can handle a large load and the edges of the bowl and lid have been strengthened. Shame about the knob

We absolutely bloody love this. We wanted a big bowl and this has a HUGE bowl. We wanted a brand we knew and trusted, and a good price. It even has a jug attachment! This fit the bill. It’s also the GH best buy and I think (but don’t quote me on it) is the Which? BB too. Regardless, it’s neat and tidy, seems really powerful, works well, has dishwasher-able parts and we are very happy indeed with it.
It’s simple to use, efficient, and perfect for everyday cooking needs. Easy to clean and light to lift. Which is important as I’m 75 years old.
The Tefal food processor replaced an aged Magimix unit which gave up the ghost – after about 25 years! The Tefal unit is great value for money, easy to use and importantly, easy to clean. There are lots of chopping appliances – surprisingly so for the cost of the processor – and it is a very neat, well built, solid feeling unit. Overall, I thoroughly recommend it.
My last food processor gave up after many years of use, so bought this one. The plus points are the number of things that it can do, but the minus points are; it’s very fiddly to get the bowl to click into place with the base & again for the lid to click on. It would be helpful to have a couple of little lines on each part to align it.
Noisy and fiddly to clean but it does the job.
Apart from the instruction manual which is almost useless the processor works well although the bowl lid is a little tough to engage.
Easy to use, luckily, as the manual is useless. But very pleased with processor. Works really well. Up to usual high standards set by Tefal. Also easy to clean. But the blades are VERY SHARP. So be careful.
Great food processor – we’ve had many which have failed the test (of time; of doing what they were supposed to). Decent construction, good action, and the liquidiser part really really works !!
This was purchased as a gift. The recipient was delighted with it and has found it a joy to use.
I did a lot of research before buying it and I could not see that there was an ideal food processor out there so I went for the affordable one ( I think I paid 40 at Amazon warehouse). There are obviously some flaws, including the part which I mentioned earlier, but I am still happy with my purchase. There are some bits dancing on the lid sometimes, which do not get chopped, etc, but this all happens with other machines. I think the feature which I would like apart from grating and slicing and chopping finely with the blade is chopping the vegetables into small cubes , ie for the soups. There might be a part available for that maybe to buy separately. I do not think it makes a massive difference between the standard one and the plus one as I mainly use the larger hole grater/slicer disk and blade.
Update after 5 years : still works.
Regarding the jug for smoothies, etc, it is best to put a little at a time, blend and keep adding and blending. It will work great. Do not try to put whole load in and blend as it will not break through to the top, so only the bottom bit would blend.

When it has arrived – I was thrilled (I never had a food processor before). It did nice fruit pure, did good at chopping and making a nice carrot soup what like a snap of fingers. But in about 10 days when I tried to chop some vegetable with cooked meat it gave up with not smoke but a lot of burnt wires/electronics smell. The motor still would run but without any control as the controller got burnt… I cannot imagine the reason behind as even in the case of overload I would not expect anything but the “fuse” to go off. I sent it off for repairs and will receive it tomorrow and will update the review according to how it goes.

I have always wished for one of these kitchen gadgets and after browsing for hours online I found this one to be the right price.
The jug is perfectly sized for blending fruits, juices and sauces. The food precessor is perfect for slices veggies or fruits very finely. It’s just … well perfect. Lol xx
