As a product of the Tefal family it works great. Very good value for the price. Quality of the bread is as we aspect. Recommend.
There is nothing to dislike thus far, only had machine a few weeks, the flavour of bread is top notch.
I have always made my own bread however arthritis in my hands has made kneading dough increasingly difficult. I spent ages looking at different makes of breadmaker. I have a tiny kitchen, so size was important. I ended up with this because it ticked all my boxes. Really straightforward to use, however depending on what loaf I was making I still wanted to bake the bread in the oven, but the instructions didn’t include timing for how long the machine mixes, knead etc. I overcame this by timing it, now it is a breeze. I have been baking again at least every other day and love this machine. I have yet to make anything other than bread but do intend to use the jam and cheese function.
Perfect bread maker! I have made 3 loaves so far and also the yoghurt programme, delicious!!
It’s a good bread maker. I only used it for Banana read so far, and it was really good. It’s worth the extra compared to some other cheap bread makers. It looks good in your kitchen and it’s compact. The taste is also quite nice, no electronic smell. I only wish bread machines will reduce timing to an hour instead of 3+ for some pastries, but it is worth it. It’s a good one.
Sadly my first purchase was faulty but I returned it to Amazon and requested a replacement and they were amazing! My new bread maker came within a week and was everything promised in its advert. I am loving making my own bread very quick and foolproof instructions and my house is filled with the wonderful smells of baking bread! Get it! You won’t regret it.
Machine is of good quality and easy to use. My first bake was a simple white bread, second was the Almond cake. Both bakes were successful and tasted great. What I am disappointed with though is the lack of inspired recipes. The book that came with it has 11 gluten free recipes (which is great if you are gluten intolerant) and only 7 normal bread recipes. As the machine has pre set programs it is difficult to work out how to use other breadmaking recipes. This is the only fault I could find. Such a shame is it is a great machine. I have emailed Tefal and asked if they have a book with further recipes but as yet not had a reply.
I loved everything about this bread maker. Its the first one I have ever used. The bread turned out perfectly. I baked the 750gram size on a medium brown setting. We usually waste bread but this was just the right size for two. It cut nice and made wonderful toast. I made the milk loaf from the recipe book. I have also made a loaf with the mixture of basic white and mixed seed flour. Wonderful with nice cheese and pickles
This is so easy to use to use, simply add the ingredients in the order they are listed, set a couple settings and leave to work it’s magic. We have tried basic bread which is soft and tasty, the speedy bread although faster was not as well risen so a bit dense. The brioche is delicious and soft.
If you use Alison’s yeast which is by far the most common sold I found that you need half a packet for 500 gram or 1 full packet for a 700 gram loaf.
If you use the quantities in the recipes for plain white the loaf won’t rise properly.
Youghurt, even using genuine thick stiff Greek yoghurt as a starter it is still very runny.
I got this after throwing my old one away.
Tried it straight away, made fresh bread for tea time, followed by rice pudding. Both were beautiful. I was doubtful about the rice, but how wrong could I be. Absolutely love it.
Soooo easy to use and the results are amazing! Just follow the instructions and use good quality ingredients!
This is such a good breadmaker and it be used more as it does even more !
This arrives in a strong retail box and is all packaged well.
You can make bread, pasta, pizza dough ,jam, cottage cheese and more!
It has 20 auto programs and makes bread in 500,750 and 1000g sizes. You can also pick crust setting.
You can have fresh bread in 90 mins.
It comes with 7 accessories and a recipe book with step by step instructions. It’s really easy to use.
This is really high quality like you would expect from tefal and is designed well.
I look forward to trying it more and more
This is a review for:
Tefal Pain et Delices PF240E40 breadmaker, Yoghurt Pot Accessory, 20 Programs, Gluten-Free, 700 W, Black
This is a fantastic machine. Breadmaker, yoghurt, sourdough starter, jams and preserves. It does them all.
What first struck me about this machine is its size: it is not too big at all. The bread tin is standard breadmaker size, but the machine itself is a good size.
Tefal is a great brand, and this machine is fantastic. It comes with great instructions, recipe ideas, and plenty of accessories so that you can make all the fantastic things that are ever so tasty. It is so easy to use, and once prepped, you can leave the machine to do its stuff. I am very impressed with the bread, and am always amazed when it comes out at the end. As bread-makers go, this one also seems to be very good value, at a shade under one hundred pounds.
This is a top-quality machine, and should last for years and years. Cleaning is easy if it’s looked after well, and if the required quantities are not exceeded.
I hope that you have found this review helpful.
This bread maker from Tefal is a high quality product and works pretty well. Wife was happy to get a new one. Comes with accessories and a recipe book for free. Product is made of high quality materials and is well designed.
Breadmaker and accessories are easy to clean and store. Best thing is the timer function so you can add all the ingredients and set the time so you will get fresh bread when you want.
Overall good quality product, well.made and easy to use and understand the functions. At the time of review this product was available for 89.99.
Perfect for people who like making their own bread.
Tefal have a winner here with a much improved version of a bread maker, compared to other makes I have tried over the years.
Instructions are clear to follow and give great recipe ideas, and with a vast array of possible uses, I happily give this bread maker 5 stars.
It is easy to clean, easy to use and gives very good results.
I particularly like that there are various programmes for depth of crust which isn’t built into all makers.
We have so far made, bread (copiously ) yogurt and cottage cheese.
With the blackberries in plenty around the farmlands now, we will be making jam very soon
Good Value and Recommended
We’ve had a bread maker in the cupboard for many years now. It had quite a bit of use in the early days, but it never really made any decent bread. You had to intervene too many times during the process because it didn’t fold the mixture evenly. So it was with some trepidation that we tried this Tefal model.
As you would expect from a big name like Tefal, the product comes in a decent retail box complete with loads of accessories, instructions, and a recipe book. Unlike our previous one, this one does more than just making bread. It can make pasta, jam, yogurt, porridge, cake, and cereals just to name a few. Recipes with step-to-step guides are included in the recipe book.
The unit has 20 built-in programs for making the above and more. As much as possible, the programs are set and leave without needing intervention.
So far, we’ve only made some sandwich bread and I must say it was perfect. A nice thick crust with wonderfully soft texture inside. By the way, the crust can be adjusted to your taste. In the next couple of days, we’re going to have a go at making some jam.
You have to remember though that most items made in this unit will not last very long. There will be no preservatives in what you make, so will stale faster. However, you will have much nicer bread than what you can buy at the supermarket.
Overall, not cheap, but it’s very versatile. I hope that helps.
