We needed to shade the sun coming into our gazebo when low at late afternoon. The 3metre dimension is to the D rings which enabled us to hook on to the corner frame using S hooks. Using the supplied guy ropes anchored to our hedge trunks to give us a 20deg fall, important to allow rain run off. At this angle we still had a veiw of our garden but shaded from sun in the eyes.
This is well made strong canopy.

It also provides a good protection from the sun and i would definitely recommend this item.
This is relatively cheap so I didn’t expect much, having said that, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the sail and the fitted rings, the only flimsy item in the package was the strings but they still do their job properly.
One bit of advice would be to try and avoid installing it totally flat, as this will prevent rain water for running off it and allows it to build up, leading to staining or even splitting or becoming detached. I fitted mine lower on one side where water could run off it into a nearby hedge.
Colour and materials feel far premium than the current price suggests (19.99 and a 12% discount), making this an excellent investment for the Summer season, would definitely recommend.
This is perfect for over your patio, as a car shade or over child play area and great for camping. Suitable for light rain as I’d say it’s more water resistant than fully waterproof.. Really strong and durable and super easy installation. Easy to store. Great product.
This is really useful to enjoy the vagaries of English weather.
Being waterproof and UV blocking it makes it suitable for both some light rain and protection against strong sun rays – it makes planning for get-togethers in the garden easier. Accessible for longer and to everyone including children and those most sensitive to the sun.
This comes with strong nylon strings to attach the ‘heavy weight’ corner D rings to poles, hooks or whatever. It is strongly sown so should last without tearing or coming apart. Be aware if this is not taut or sloping a lot of rain will gather in the centre of the sail.
It comes in a bag made with the same quality material which is great for storage when not in use. This sail seems to be good value for money and is expected to last and get used for a number of years.
I looked around for this product and I was hesitate to get it but I needed something but I didn’t want to pay out loads of money especially if it was rubbish!! I was very surprised at how sturdy this was, not flimsy material like I thought. Very happy with my purchase and very happy with price.

The fabric is tough and nice to look at. I can’t imagine it would tear or fray

I have yet to install this as a seasonal awning. But I have had a look at it. It is well a well made sheet of I assume polyester, with decent stitching around the stainless hanging rings. Water beads off it no problem.
The supplied nylon ropes have a tight weave and feel very robust. Passes all pre install checks.
When tying the straps, you need to tighten the four corners to avoid the middle part being too heavy due to the accumulation of rainwater. From what I can see and feel, its quality is solid, but I’m not sure if the sun exposure will cause quality problems.
high quality thick strong material, that looks really smart. the seams are all strong and double stitched and the hanging points are all re-enforced too. this is really good quality, very happy with this.
This sun sail shade is absolutely brilliant. Made of very strong and waterproof fabric. Has metal loops on all four corners and comes with the string. I have separately purchased the fixing kit as used it without it, this should help to keep it sturdy.
Good value for money, this should last a long time.
