My hubby and I love a good escape room puzzle so this was right up our street. It was great the way you got to use the internet, email, and phone to help solve. Found it suitably challenging. Finished within the suggested time frame. Can’t wait to try the next episode. Would definitely recommend.

We ordered this as something to do on Easter and it was fun!
A wonderful storyline with twists and turns, and the fact that you had physical and electronic evidence to work with was incredible! Definitely recommend it, can’t wait to try other cases!

We played this with family and friends and absolutely loved it. The pack provides some of the props and clues you need, you need to access some online resources to help you solve the full mystery. I don’t want to say too much expect it’s similar to an escape room with the kinds of clues you get and if you’re a fan of escape rooms, you’ll love this. It’s clever, makes your brain work and is fun to do as a group.

I purchased the 1st episode after seeing the company on Dragons Den. I’ve done a few escape rooms previously and enjoy the concept of working out different puzzles to progress. Where this differs to an escape room is there is the digital element where you’ll need to use your phone/tablet/computer to access certain websites and send emails etc. This part for me was really fun. We’re looking forward to the next episodes and the other seasons that the detective society has released. Although we enjoyed this game, we thought it was priced too highly. I think the 20 mark would be more suitable for what you get.

We’d never heard of this brand before but we are now hooked. Really good fun for all, best played with a group of friends. Can’t wait for the next one!

I hadn’t heard of this game or the company that makes it until I got the chance to try it out. I didn’t really know what to expect from this so I went into it with an open mind. I had expected this to be some kind of board game from my initial impressions, which could be played as a family a little like Cluedo. This however, is something entirely different. It is unlike anything I have played before, and that isn’t a bad thing. This game is designed to put you in the shoes of a private detective and it does so very well. It comes with lots of envelopes which each contain various clues and physical media which set you on your journey. With this first part of a six part series you are required to try and locate a missing woman. To do this, you have to follow a carefully planned route through the envelopes to find a three digit code to a locked dossier. Once the dossier is unlocked further clues are presented to you to allow you to finish this first episode.

I think this company have created something very clever and unique here. A lot of care and attention to detail has been put into this. Not only are you required to use what is presented to you, but you are also encouraged to use your own wits and intelligence to carry out your own research, both online and through emails and texts etc just like a real detective. The websites and scenarios that have been created have been designed in such a way that it could all be mistaken for being real.

The purpose of this game is to take you out of the real world for a short period of time and give you something interesting to occupy your imagination, and it does so brilliantly. I decided to play this on my own, and although my family tried to help, it wasn’t really something for them, and I found it easier to sift through the clues by myself. I really enjoyed playing this, and the two hours it took me to complete it flew by as I immersed myself in this intriguing world.

The only negative I have about this ‘series’ is the cost. I was grateful to get this for review, but I don’t think I would be prepared to pay 30 just for one episode. This is part one of six, so the story isn’t quite finished. If I wanted all six parts it would cost me over 150, which I am not prepared to pay. I think in order for this to cater to people who don’t have stacks of disposable income, the story needs to be tied up quicker, or perhaps include the entire series in one box set which doesn’t cost the earth.

Overall though, I really enjoyed it. It is clever, well constructed and the elements inside have a premium feel. if money is of no concern then I’m sure you will enjoy working your way through this series. I highly recommend it, as there is nothing else quite like it, that I know of.
