    what i liked ?

    – size of this tablet, bigger than deco mini 7
    – stylus has tilt support with high sensitivity
    – very easy set up
    – Android connectivity. you can connect this with Android devices using otg.

    what i disliked?

the otg connector given with the tablet, especially the type c one: i have a OnePlus phone and the tablet was not detected by my phone when i used the otg connector given with the tablet. i used other otg cable which i was already using and the tablet got connected easily and is working fine.

the otg connector given with the tablet might not work on some devices. I am sure about OnePlus 7!

Much sleeker than expected. There were some missing accessories and upon contacting the supplier, they were so prompt in attending to it and sending it.
As far as usage is concerned, it is just about a few days now and it is not like how one writes using a pen. This needs like practice and hope one will get used to it over a period of time.
Just download the driver from the suppliers website and that’s it, plug & play.
I will come back with updates after a months usage.

Loved this product! I’ve made numerous artworks and templates using this. Loved the control that it gives me over the mouse.

The only problem I felt was that I could not zoom in and zoom out using this. And I had to lug the wire around everywhere.

I got this G960S model @Rs.3899. I don’t think any other brand like Wacom can provide such huge tablet at that price point. I had used the very basic tablet of wagon which is priced nearly about 3600. And that was very small and difficult to use and didn’t have any other feature like buttons etc. This one has 4 four buttons which are very useful, two otg adapter, type c cable and the ANDROID DEVICE SUPPORT.

I have been using the same model since 2020 and I recently bought one more for my new Laptop. Very helpful for Online training classes. The writing precision is very good. No need of any extra drivers on Windows 10/Android devices. Works fine on Mobile Apps as well.

The tablet and good and is very reliable
The only thing is that we have to get some kind of practice to use a graphic tablet.
Not only for this tablet. For any graphic tablet it’s not like I can make some beautiful art or write properly on the first go
After we use this for sometime like a week or so we can rely on the graphic tablet on our daily basis…

This tablet is the best for begginers withits big surface and a thin pen best for begginers…

I use a graphics tablet for photo editing and have been using the small Wacom Intuos for a couple of years but, as I tend to work in various locations, I decided to buy a second tablet rather than carrying (or, more accurately, forgetting to carry) it around. The XP Pen was both cheaper and has a larger working area than the Intuos and, to be honest, in use I can’t tell any difference in terms of quality or ease of use. Like the Wacom, the driver was downloaded and the tablet working in less than 10 minutes, the pressure sensitivity feels about the same and all buttons are programmable. The XP has one button on the pen whereas the Wacom has 2, but at almost half the price and substantially more working area I can live with one less button. The one feature that I do miss is a built in pen holder, I just know that I’ll lose the pen at some point. One other feature that I like, the XP came with about 10 replacement nibs, and a tool for replacing them. If I remember correctly the intuos only came with two.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersXP Penstar G960S Graphic Tablet is a very useful product with easy handling & usage. It will take 1-2 days of practice to understand the working and features, but, once you get used to it, it becomes extremely easy to operate. I use the product on OneNote for teaching purposes and it captures my handwriting very well which is the same as using a touch laptop. There are no strokes or unnecessary elements that get formed on the doc, it works very smoothly. The box came with a USB to Type C converter as well which helps me work on my phone also very conveniently. I am using XP tablet on my Windows 8.1 Pro laptop currently and I have not faced any issues. The breadth of the tablet is approximately my 1 handspan (as shown in the image) and the length is matching the width of a 14-inch laptop (as shown in the image). It is a very useful product.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI like this drawing tablet very much. It is the first one I have ever used and it took me a while to set it up. This was not the fault of the tablet, but me being a bit thick. I did manage to set it up and it works well. It is quite different to drawing with a pen and paper, an I found that it has taken quite a lot of time to actually draw something that is recognisable. However as usual, practice makes perfect. I use this tablet to try to draw cartoons. The real problem is that my drawing is not that good! Having said that my cartoons are getting better and I now prefer drawing on the tablet rather than paper. It is useful that the accompanying pen/stylus does not need to be recharged. I would happily recommend this tablet to anyone who is thinking of buying one.

An excellent product for the price. Excellent instructions on set up. Bought it for my son for his uni work and it has served him well so far. Suddenly one morning it became very inaccurate and we emailed customer service. Does what is says on the tin. Its not quite as precise as a wacom tablet, but unless you’re doing insanely fine work, this will see you through your needs. And its also cheaper than comparable wacom tablets.
My only major gripe is the laminated surface of the tablet can get nicks and small tears if you poke at them too much, so be mindful what you put on it or where you place it.

Bought to support teaching online lessons during lockdown. It’s absolutely fantastic. A bit fiddly to set up but great to use when streaming presentations, the shortcut buttons can be set to switch between pen, highlighter and eraser. Really useful and better than similar wacom ones. The pressure sensetivity makes varying line thickness easy and produces very natural appearing writing. Would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe reason for the odd seeming “I’m left-handed” headline should be obvious to anyone who, like me, desperately searches for such information in reviews. I am really pleased with this Drawing Tablet. It does exactly what I want and, by simply selecting 180 degrees in settings, it is perfect for a left-hander. It is also of a considerably higher quality than I was expecting when I was researching.
This has had a ridiculous amount of use since I bought it. As a teacher in England I have to spend my own money for the pleasure of being able to teach. I also have the good fortune to work twice the hours of any normal person, which gives me plenty of time to use my new tablet. Recording lessons has become much easier with the ability to write accurately on screen, and therefore give the lesson I want to give. Microsoft Whiteboard works well, although I am sure there are better products if I were to search. I use it at 8.30am when I settle down to work, and I am still using it just after midnight when I finally stop for the day. It even manages my twelve hour days at the weekend without ever complaining.
My only small gripe is that I find it difficult writing down the bottom of the screen as my wrist has moved into the drop-zone next to the tablet. Having said that, it is easy to choose the part of the surface that is active for writing on to by simply going onto settings. However, I prefer to have the biggest writing surface possible (after all, I chose a larger pad than the cheapest) and I have got around the drop-zone problem by finding a book of suitable thickness to rest on so that I can be right down at the bottom of the screen and simply carry on writing with my wrist supported. The book, for anyone who is looking to buy accessories, is Crewe Alexandra Match by Match by Marco Crisp – very useful if I could find time to get bored and need to perk myself up reliving a glory season. However, I am sure there are other books with similar thickness and comfort.
    Anyway, this is highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI love it but there is a few things which highlights the price point. For starters it’s decent in size and very accurate to draw with. Installation is easy with a simple drop to the website and a few clicks later , I had the driver installed. It feels great to draw on. The tablet itself works perfectly, no complain from my end, even those buttons on the tab fill Clicky and are easy to set up with the program. I only have a few issue and you can tell it’s thease areas where they cheaper out for every penny. Instead of using a standard usb connection, it uses usb but the end that’s in the tablet it’s stuck there. You ain’t moving it coz it’s not supposed to move, imagine those old telephone wires, it’s sort of o like that. The second issue comes with your hands grinding in the tablet, there’s friction there, it’s not terrible, you can work with it, but you do notice it. If only they added a drawing glove so you can glide your hands across it smoothly, a bit like huion does with the magority of their tablets. And finally the pen. It’s nice, no battery, no charge, hardly any weight, it’s like your holding a pencil, only problem is, I wish they gave me a holder or a place on the tablet I can clip it too. It’s the things that they cheaper out on, the very thing which gave you such an attractive price which are the things your going to miss. Your most likely going to wish you just paid that 10-15 more for a better device, which would give you all those things and make this a almost perfect tablet.

I’m slightly disappointed, but over time I do hope I will get used to it.

The XP-PEN graphics tablet is not the largest tablet on the market, but it is light and easy to use which makes it a great first time choice for a beginner. The tablet features 4 “shortcut” buttons that can be customized to your needs. The stylus that comes with the tablet isn’t powered, so you don’t need to worry about batteries or charging before use. The XP-PEN is compatible with PC and MAC, and seven Android phones (Not sure about iPhones though). As with all graphics tablets it takes a little practice to become proficient, but thanks to the design of the stylus you can become comfortable with this very quickly. At this price you’d struggle to find a better graphics tablet.

This is a well made product that comes with a stylus, a USB to USB-C cable and a some adapters to allow you to use with android devices. It doesn’t require batteries, so just plug it in and get going (After you’ve installed the drivers and application from the manufacturer’s website.)

I’m running it on Windows 10 and it worked fine. You can move the stylus so it’s not touching the tablet and move the mouse and tap on the tablet or use the stylus’ right click key. It’s extremely responsive, which made it handy for a task I wanted to do: restore some artwork taken from a clip from a Super 8 film. Using this tablet with Gimp I found it really easy to touch up the image I was working with.

I found this a great product to use.

I find it useful and usable

Years ago I bought a really cheap and nasty graphics tablet from a supermarket. It was awful, clunky and would only ‘draw’ when the stylus button was pressed. So that put me off using these things for years.

But then I bought a copy of Affinity Designer (as a creative hobby), so I decided to give tablets another go. The price of this XP-PEN G960 was very tempting.

The tablet is a lot bigger than expected; the total size is about A4, with the active drawing area approximately A5 size. It’s a shame the tablet’s cable is permanently attached – a detachable USB-C cable would have been better.

The four shortkeys feel cheap and noisy when pressed, so I don’t think I will be using them very much. The stylus button is a little too subtle with its feel; I have to keep visually checking I’ve got my finger in the right position.

Installation on my Mac was fairly straighforward, although when first plugged it in was indentified as a new keyboard, which initially confused me.

Having been bitten by the cheap tablet I bought years ago, I was intrigued to see how ‘proper’ tablets work – how does it tell the difference between the stylus ‘drawing’ or just plain movement? I was pleasantly surprised when the tablet accurately sensed the stylus’s position within 2 cm of the surface; registering a ‘draw’ when they came into contact. Genius!

The tablet works perfectly with Affinity Designer and Photo, giving me so much more control. Pressure senstivity lets me use a variety of brush widths and intensities.

Now all I’ve got to do is adapt to using a stylus instead of a mouse and realise getting to the far side of the screen means I need to physically move the stylus all the way and not shuffle it like a mouse.

  54. IsiahSKMpwfz says:

I normally prefer larger tablets but my Bedroom PC Desk is very small and on that table, a small tablet is what works. This works well in Affinity Designer/ Photo and very easy to customise pressure sensitivity. I like the express buttons provided and it is easy to assign them to do what you want.

My son uses it on his Android phone for digital art, so it is versatile in terms of OS compatibility.

I use it on my PC in combination with MS – Whiteboard while online teaching. I’ve been using it for several months 5 days a week and I have never had any issue with it. It takes a couple of hours of getting used to a different feed-back (you write on the tablet and you must look at the PC screen to see what you’ve been writing). Once you’re used to it, it works fine!

At this point, there aren’t many differences between graphics tablets of this range. There are the standard 8000 levels of pressure and the tilting angle. What most tablets differ in are the tablet shape itself and the pen.

What is a little disappointing honestly is that the bezels/area around the active area is really large, meaning that it is significantly larger than it needs to be. Another disappointing design is the sides of the tablet. I also have the Huion 610, and that seems to have a larger area with smaller bezels, but more importantly for me, the sides feel a little more rolled off, and the whole tablet feels thinner, which feels more natural when placed on a desk. This one feels a little high for me, but also due to the way the sides are designed, there is a noticeable lip which your palm can sometimes go over at the edge of the tablet. However, the surface appears to be a proper surface, as opposed to a sticker surface that Huion uses. In reality, this won’t cause much difference at all, but it just looks and feels a little better.
There are four large-ish physical buttons. Having buttons is nice, although there are relatively few buttons, and I am not sure that the buttons needed to be that big. I feel like XP-Pen’s competitors have them beat when it comes to the number of buttons. That said, if you prefer a minimalist design, with a lower chance of the buttons being accidentally pressed, then this may work better for you.

Also like all other tablets, there is a light on the surface to show when the pen has made contact with the board. Unlike Huion where there is a small round light dimly lit when powered and a little brighter when the pen is close, this light is more significant in size and blinks once when in the 4mm range and only turns on when in contact. I honestly prefer this light more.

What is nice is that the port on the tablet is USB-C. While this is more future-proof, and you can plug it in both ways, the design of the port is that the cable (male side) housing actually fits into the shell of the tablet. There are two reasons for this: to make you buy one of their cables instead of using one that you already have, and the second, the strength of the connection is increased due to the extra depth and the extra friction.

Included in the box are most notably extra tips and android OTG attachments – the standard, but not including things like the stand and glove that Huion provide.

I was initially very disappointed with the pen. I thought that it was a cost-saving measure gone too far. The pen was a lot slimmer and lighter. They also decreased the buttons to only one, and not even an eraser at the back (this one has a loop instead)! However, after trying this out, I have realised that this is my favourite pen. The travel of the tip on this new pen is much smaller than on the larger variants, which make it feel less spongy, more accurate but also more realistic. The hollow sound of the pen makes it sound much more like a pencil, and the overall thinner diameter and the lightness further make it feel like a pencil. This is the nicest pen that I have felt for a graphics tablet.

Overall, the price is not bad for the tablet. The pen is cheap, but is the most natural feeling one that I have felt so far – sometimes simplicity is better, and that’s what I think that this set is going for. Like all of these, you need to install drivers. Like with all Chinese products of this type, some will find problems with the drivers, although it has been working fine for me so far.

There are two photos, one showing what accessories are included and the other showing the comparison between the pens. Of course, the skinnier, more uniform in thickness one is the one that was provided in this kit.

    Hope this review was helpful.

Purchased to aid my daughter create her artwork on her laptop and she wasn’t disappointed.
Very reasonable size tablet meaning more accuracy than smaller models I have used.
The tablet worked under windows 10 immediately and once the official drivers had been downloaded from the link provided in the manual all aspects of the tablet could be edited from pressure sensitivity to the user programmable buttons on the tablet and pen.
Useing the tablet in Corel Painter is exceptionally good for the price.
Overall extremely pleased with the product.

My Windows 10 PC instantly recognised this and asked me to set it up. Setup is fairly easy and is basically plug and play. I only tested it on paint, however, it was very responsive and it has great pressure response. It also comes with 10 replacement nibs in the box so you don’t have to worry about ordering more. The stylus itself doesn’t run on a battery so there is no need to charge it or replace a battery. The unit itself is fairly small and thin and can be put in a bag and is easily transportable. It would’ve been great if they included a bag but for the price, you can’t complain. If you’re on a budget I highly recommend this.

Ordered this for online seminars to enable the students to see workings etc in real time. A little difficult at first because the mouse point jumps a little when you move your hand. Also you are looking at the screen when writing on the pad, which also takes a little time to get used to. A little practice and these issues were quickly resolved. One continuing issue is the clicker on the pen which is too close to the position of your fingers and deletes content if clicked. Excellent with xodo pdf software, which can be used to create pdf files of the work. Very good value.
