Great piece of kit. Unlike Anthony’s, below, mine springs cleanly open, and closes again with a firm click. Also, the keyhole has a spring ‘return’. Perhaps Anthony was simply unlucky (twice!). What I would point out us that the hasp on this model is a full centimetre in diameter, so don’t buy unless you have a hole of at least a centimetre diameter to put it into. Ours is in a wrought-iron gate bolt with a 12mm hole, and the lock looks and feels the part! A+++++
The padlocks arrived on schedule and as described. They are very robust and of good quality. Ideal for protecting sheds, gates and garages. They look the part, as well as providing sufficient security and deterrence to the opportunist. Highly recommended and excellent value for money.
4 stars for weatherproof as ive only had it a short time but its fine so far. Very sturdy and the lock feature is really smooth.

I made the mistake of purchasing what appeared to be a good quality asian lock – it wasn’t – so i returned it to amazon – my advice – buy a yale, abus, squire or assa etc – this yale lock is very well made – indeed it may well be overkill for the job – but for less than 15 it was a bargai
These are a serious piece of kit, really heavy and thick. Bought these for my new shed arriving in two weeks. Bought a bar to go across the door and a bolt, these padlocks will go through nicely.
You need your shed to be seriously securitized where I live, so only the best will do. And don’t forget people if you are securitizing your shed, DON’T use screws anywhere on your accessories such as, hinges, bars and bolts, use nuts and bolts, they are secured on the inside of the shed. Why people have all the security gubbins and then use screws is a mystery to me, I have bought M5 x 50mm nuts, bolts and washers, they are not expensive, but are very secure. Oh, also bout two HETP 78 solar light fittings of Amazon for the back garden, great reviews, they will light up the back garden a treat if anything walks by. Happy shedding people.

Can’t comment on how weatherproof it is cause it’s still summer, will need to wait to see how it bears upto a Scottish winter.
A solid lock that fits perfectly for our drive gates. Time will tell if it stands up to the weather as billed, but so far so good.

Looks really solid and feels sturdy . So far it’s been on for about a month and seems to be surviving all the bad weather we have had in in the uk since March , so the water resistance will be a bonus .
Bought for new shed- hasp and staple arrangement which works perfectly. A robust lock with a heft to it therefore reassurance it will be both secure and long lasting
Pretty good lock from Yale being used for shed and garden doors. Looks sturdy and shiny so far. Time will test the weatherproofing and I’ll come back with an update.
This is a good old fashioned well made yale lock. Bit more pricy that some others, but definately worth the money
