    Excellent network switch.
    Pros:
-Totally silent, no fan that keeps going
    -small
    -plug and go-

Cons: only a few ports, but that is what are buying.

I have a PoE cctv camera and a NAD and a few other bits and pieces hanging off this. When you switch it on and connect the Ethernet cables it connects straightaway and I can see the camera image and recordings via the NAS and there is no interference with the rest of the home network. Excellent product.

Bought this to run 5x external & 3x internal Hikvision POE cameras, including two with floodlights and one PTZ. We also have two Ubiquity Access Points on the first & second floors.
I wanted the switch up on the third floor, but the NVR in my study on the ground floor.
Install was a breeze; literally plug’n’play, and the fanless unit sits silently, doing it’s thing.

We ran Cat6 throughout the property when we renovated, connecting each room to a central cabinet in my study, plus shielded/weatherproof Cat6 to the locations we wanted external cameras. Our longest run between Camera & Switch is approximately 85m and from Switch back to Router/NVR is roughly 70m – there’s been absolutely zero degradation in signal quality and all 9 cameras run at full resolution, the floodlight cameras light up exactly as they should and other than a minimal lag to access the PTZ camera, plus one or two Access Point reboots (which I put down to Virgin, rather than any fault in the POE switch), we’ve had very little to worry about.

    More than happy to recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWas a bit nervous given the lack of history with this brand, but I took the plunge and figured I’d lean on Amazon’s return policy if all went to pot. So far everything’s working great after ~3 weeks running a 6 POE camera system. The cameras are pulling ~60W total, and a few long indoor/outdoor runs (150 ft. on the longest single run, around 500 ft. combined, on all copper CAT6).

I chose this switch as it seemed to offer good value for a device that also had an SFP port which enabled me to use a fibre optic link. I did make the mistake of choosing the wrong type of SFP transponder initially – make sure it’s 1 GB/s not 10! Now everything has been working well for a month or so. Hopefully it will stay this way.

I have had this YuanLey 8-port PoE switch installed for about 3 weeks now. It is connected to four Hikvision 8mp (4k) IP cameras, a Zyxel wifi (PoE powered) access point and a Netgear 105PE (PoE powered) switch connected about 75m distant. Since installation this YuanLey switch has worked perfectly. The case is of all metal construction with wall mounting cut-outs. Mine is mounted vertically on a wall. It has an IEC socket (kettle lead) on back for mains power (so much better than an external wall wart).
Importantly, there is no partitioning of network traffic to an uplink port (unlike some PoE switched do). All ports are equal.
The one thing I don’t like is that the port status lights (which show the current port speed) are below the RJ45 connector so in my configuration with the switch mounted vertically on a wall, the port lights are difficult to see unless the cables are lifted out of the way – see one of my pics. But this is a very minor annoyance.

A very good product at a reasonable price. Pleased with my purchase and would definitely buy again!

    Working well

I bought this to give POE capability to a Belkin adapter which provides wired ethernet for my I pad Pro. This gives battery charging power over the single ethernet cable. It worked perfectly. I did find that some other devices (printers mainly) plugged into the spare switch ports did not work but I think this is a common occurrence as some non-POE devices do not work well with POE switches. I got round this by linking my existing switch (not POE) via the Uplink Port and plugging devices which did not like the POE hub into the old hub. Whole system now works perfectly.

I’ve used this in a live streaming rack, primarily so that some of the BMD kit I’m using could be powered by POI, along with the wireless AP I’ve installed. The unit works well and doesn’t seem to struggle supplying the 25.5w/port needed to power some of the units involved. The case is very sturdy and NO WALL WART ! As it’s fanless there’s absolutely no noise. Hopefully it will have a good lifespan. If so, I’d call this unit a bargain next to the usual suspects.

I like these Yuanley switches (when they work)
This 5 port one had a dead port so I’ve got to order another and return this one. Hope the next one is ok. I also ordered an 8 port which tripped the house fuse when switches on. Turns out the 13amp
Plug had the neutral and earth reversed. How bad is that? They refunded me 12 so I could buy a new one. I cut the plug off and fitted a Screwfix one. Sorted.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been using a 8 port switch with 4 PoE ports for a while now but I’ve recently moved from my BT Router to the Unifi system. Part of this system is an access point which can be powered by PoE.

Connecting this has maxed out my switch and I want to add more CCTV Cameras so I decided to look around for an 8 port switch with full 8 port PoE. After a bit of research I’d seen good things about this switch and it doesn’t break the bank.

Firstly I replaced my old switch with this new one and it worked perfectly from the off. All my my CCTV cameras were powered and my Unify Access Point works as required. I was having problems with the PoE on my old switch as it didn’t seem to provide a stable connection.

The next stage was to replace my old switch and patch the new one onto it. Again it’s worked perfectly off the bat and I have 7 PoE ports free for my CCTV cameras.

I’ve had this setup going for almost a week now and it’s not missed a beat. No lost packets, full transfer speeds (I get 900mbps FTTP internet and it’s handling that perfectly).

You can pay extra for one of the big names but why when you can get something this capable for a fraction of the price.

    Excellent PoE switch

I can’t stand external AC adapter bricks, so this switch automatically gets points in my book for that. It runs cool, despite being quiet. I ran a 2 hour stress test on it, and didn’t have any packet loss, so I consider that a success. In my case, I don’t need anything more than 100mbit, and the extend function could be useful someday, though I haven’t used it yet. At this point, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

I am using this switch by my desk. I have my VoIP phone, AP and my computer plugged into this switch. Love that it has auto sensing on the switch, don’t have to worry about turning off the POE for non PO Equipment. This is worth the investment for any small to large applications you may have. Will be looking at getting the rack mount version for my server rack and moving all POE VoIP phone to this device. I will do a review of that when that time comes.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersUsed this switch for some security cameras in my house and it works great. It has 8 ports that are powered and works with all PoE cameras. I like that it also has 2 uplink ports to connect to the router. Most switches only have 1 but since this one has 2, you can connect multiple switches together without losing a PoE port. Useful since most camera systems use 8 or 16 cameras. Works with a standard 120v computer plug so it’s easy to add to a server rack that has those types of cables already.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersEste switch ethernet tiene 8 puertos RJ45.

    Buena velocidad y alta potencia

I use it to run a Raspberry Pi cluster with PoE enabled so I have fewer wires running around. Works just like it should. If you’re very close you can hear a quiet buzzing sound from the PSU but I’d call it silent. Nice not to have a big power brick. I’ll probably upgrade to their 8 port model next.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have a 16 POE camera system that only initially came with 8 cameras. Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBecause my cameras are far away from my main switch I had to use intermediary switches in order to deliver data and power to each cameras. I am using this switch to power 1 POE camera and to transmit data to other POE switch.
Until now it works very well, and all my cameras are transmitting the stream flawless.
In my first week I monitored the connections to cameras checking the pings response time, and I was surprised how stable it was, with average ping response around 18ms from main switch to the cameras, without any high peaks. It is very good considering that some cameras data is passing via 3 switches.
It is fan less, so no noise coming from the switch.
In the idle it consume around 3 watts and when I have 1 camera attached it consume around 10 watts.
The build construction looks very sturdy, solid metal. The metal build also help on heat dissipation.
There is no power ON/OFF button, just plug in the power cord to power it on.
I am not using it extended mode, so I cannot tell how the port isolation feature works.
For my needs it is a very good device that worth 40 bucks price.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersIntroduction:

I have been running one of these Yuanley 8-Port Gigabit PoE Switch in my live network environment for the past 15 months now, and I can honestly say that this switch has become a vital part of my network, so much so, that I ordered a second one… This new 2019 unit has been updated from the previous model, in that it includes 19″ rackmount brackets and rubber feet.

    Application:

This PoE switch was purchased to power a ceiling-mounted UniFi UAP-AC-Pro access point in the downstairs hallway, and I didn’t want to purchase a separate PoE injector to power it. A quick search on Amazon, and viola, an IEEE 802.3af/at compatible switch that isn’t bulky or heavy, that provides 120w max power with all ports (yes, including all 8 PoE ports) having gigabit capability… The switch also has a ground screw at the rear, which allows me to ground the chassis, to reduce interference and increase safety.

At the time of purchasing, this was the only highly-rated gigabit PoE switch in the pre-100 price range.

    Switch:

As previously mentioned, the switch isn’t bulky, heavy, or takes up too much space inside of a network cabinet. Mine sits on a network shelf inside of a network cabinet, but it will also fit snugly in a 1u slot using the brackets provided. The case is made out of metal and has a ground screw on the back. There are 8 individual PoE ethernet ports on the front and 2 ethernet uplink ports with 1 SFP port, which can be used to connect the switch to other switches. In my network, both uplink ports are connected to my 24-port Netgear gigabit switch and my 16-port Dell gigabit switch. The switch also has VLAN capability.

There is basically no noise from the switch during operation, as it is fan-less, and I don’t notice any significant heat build up inside of my closed cabinet.

    Company:

The switch is manufactured in China by a company called Yuanley. I’ve spoken to their customer services on more than one occasion, asking questions and general advice. They are extremely friendly and helpful, and will go out of their way to make sure that you have, not only a pleasant buying experience, but really good after-sales support.

    Conclusion:

In conclusion, I’m really impressed by this switch. I think for the price, and what you get – essentially 8 PoE ports that transmit at full gigabit speeds – you can’t really go wrong with this purchase. As I’ve said, mine has been continuously running and transmitting data for 15 straight months, and has only needed to be rebooted just once during those 15 months. It happily powers my access point, and with dedicated uplink ports, I have the flexibility to use all of the PoE ports for any additional ethernet-powered devices I add to my network in the future.

Fantastic PoE Switch at a fantastic price

Simple to get started, you just plug and play. Handles the traffic well, although I’ve only tested it out under normal home use. No real set up is required. The metal case feels tough as versatile, and it’s practically silent.

    Silent, powerful, works perfect.

This item does exactly what it says on the box. Very happy. Sellers communication was excellent when I had any querys (albeit expect your replies in the early hours if you’re in the UK).
Don’t expect this to power your non PoE cameras, you will still need injectors and power spliters on your cat 6 (or whatever cable you use), this is something that I was disappointed about, however that’s down to my naivety of these systems. It does however work a treat on PoE enabled cameras. Delivery was next day.
    Hope this review helps someone.

I had CCTV kit with Poe cameras but the frame rates are really slow and switching from one cam to another remotely takes a bit of time. So I’ve decided to put server on mini pc with Poe switch. With this one improvement is huge. Frame rate jumped from 15fps to solid 30fps and the data is constant over 300k against 125k in old DVR. Very simple device to set up (plug and play). I have 7 IP cameras running without any issues. I’m more then happy with the results, definitely 5 stars for the price and performance.

Golden Review Award: 44 From Our UsersI ordered this 8 port poe switch for my 6 dahua ip cameras.Because its spec meets all of my requirements—total 120w watts,8×10/100Mbps POE ports and 2×10/100Mbps RJ45 uplink ports. All 1-8 POE ports comply with PoE+ standard, fanless(very quiet). Done one week stress test to verify that all components work well.

    About the switch:
There are 2 components – the switch itself and a power cable(Power built-in).The switch is very compact and light. You can put two switches in 1u cabinet space. It is made in Shenzhen China.

    About the ports:
There are 8 10/100Mpbs poe ports and 2 10/100mbps uplink ports. (most applications need an uplink port ,for example ,NVR,router), The maximum PoE output power of the whole switch is 120W, and the maximum PoE output power of a single port is 30W.

    Hook up:
There is no on/off switch. Plugging the power supply in turns the switch on. I recommend doing this first, then connect the POE devices at a time. I did try plugging-in/unplugging the power supply with all POE devices connected. There was no problem.

    Power consumption:
I connected 6 dahua cameras to the switch. At full load, with all cameras booting at the same time and infra on (they turn on during boot), cameras+switch used around 50w (kill-a-watt). With the infra off, cameras+switch used around 35w. For these reasons, I was not able to verify the 120w output claim.

    Heat dissipation:
The switch was never even warm. The cameras did get HOT, but survived the test. The power brick was more of interest because it will be in a VERY HOT attic. It was normally warm. To stress test, I wrapped it in a towel and put all cameras in a dark room to triggered the infra. In a few hours, the brick got quite hot, but not bad. Left it that way for a day. Conclusion is that it should survive my attic.

In all, I’m very satisfied with this brand poe switch.

The 8 Port POE Plus switch is Excellent value for money. We are powering 3 IP PTZ Cameras off it with no issues at all. We use the uplink Port to feed the input of a wireless link. We can control the 3 PTZ’s functions and see all 3 Camera images with no glitches. We will be buying these again in the future.

So far it is feeding two POE CCTV cameras and one RJ45 outlet in my daughters room. Looks a solid well made item and has worked perfectly so far with plenty of scope to expand my CCTV system and ethernet network. Good value, good feedback from the manufacturers and overall very pleased with it.

Do not like that there is no fuse in the power plug.
    Is there an internal fuse?
Product used for powering AP’s and is doing the job.

I have been looking to expand my old analogue CCTV system with IP cameras and needed a simple and easy way to power them, as some of the locations would be awkward to run a new mains socket and the YuanLey 10 port PoE+ switch is the perfect solution to my problem.

The switch has a nice metal construction with 8 x 10/100 Mbps PoE ports and 2 x uplink ports on the front, along with the status indicator lights and a switch to extend the transmission range of the connected cameras from 100 meters to 250 meters.

The rear of the unit is where the mains adapter is plugged in and also features a grounding point, so that the unit can be grounded inside your cabinet (if that is where you are placing it).
Either side of the device are mounting points for the hanging brackets which can be screwed into place and the bracket can be mounted either vertically or horizontally.

Each port outputs 52v at 1.5A and has a max output of 30W.

    The dimensions of the switch are approximately 20cm x 12cm x 4.5cm.

    ***** In The Box *****

    1 x Pair Mounting Brackets
    1 x Mains Power Cord
    4 x Mounting Screws
2 x Mounting nuts and bolts
    1 x User Guide

    ***** Installation / Usage *****
The YuanLey switch works in exactly the same way as other switches and requires no configuration on your part.
You simply connect your devices to the PoE ports, connect the switch to your existing network via an uplink port and connect it to the mains.

    ***** Conclusion *****

Currently, I only have 1 PoE IP camera but intend to add more.
Being able to power the cameras using a single Ethernet cable is a huge advantage and makes installation far easier. I have my switch mounted in my attic so only needed to run a single Ethernet cable between my router and the switch and then a single Ethernet cable between the switch and the camera.
It is also possible to power non PoE enabled cameras using the YuanLey switch, by using a spliiter — you will need to make sure the splitter is capable of reducing the voltage from 52v to 12v, which is usually used by non PoE cameras or you will damage them.

I also like having just a single power source as it helps to keep the installation nice and neat.

All in all, I am quite pleased with the build quality and the value for money is very good. Having 8 ports means I have enough room for expansion in the future.
