My broken charger was for a Sony product with an unusual socket for the charger plug. This charger comes with an adaptor which you can connect to the plug of the old charger (see picture), so you can reconnect to just about any product (with the right voltage/current spec of course). You can even reverse the polarity if you need to. Sorted, and working fine so far.

Great adapter, we needed one for our Christmas church as misplaced the old lead.
It wasn’t exactly the right one so the lights wouldn’t change colour as it didn’t turn the motor but was the nearest we could get and the church now lights up. We didn’t need all the extra heads but ideal for other things

This has a very comprehensive range of tips, making it highly versatile. The only thing it won’t do, that some will, is to reverse the polarity. Not that you’re likely to need to, since positive central pin is very much the norm.
Safety? I’ve no reason to doubt this adapter’s safety credentials but really don’t know. It’s CE marked but CE is self-certified, so sometimes means little with obscure brands. It’s probably perfectly fine and a good buy at less than 10 but there are no instructions with it, so take note of the details in the description.
This is an incredible idea and a massive help! We now have several items including a good quality pair of clippers, a shaver and a keyboard we’ve not wanted to throw away but have lost the appropriate supply with no others around the house fitting them and at last can use them again without having to buy lots of different replacement power supplies. I didn’t know something like this existed or would have looked one up sooner. Absolutely brilliant to have in the house for back up and an immediate fix when a supply breaks or gets lost and you don’t have one you can nab from another device.
